It's been 1,000 days since Unus Annus ended. I miss them but their memory will live on forever.
I wanted to make something more light hearted to celebrate the occasion. Because yes it is sad that they're gone but they'd want us to smile instead. A better way to enjoy life.
Plus, I wanted to have a different take on how'd they look after being gone for so long. The suits are out, they're going merch casual!(I didn't draw the crew neck wrong, I just reversed the colors. It's dope!) I didn't want to draw suits that's my excuse lol.
Anyways, a salute to the time boys of grayscale colors. Unus Annus, Memento Mori.
[ONE MORE THING! The images have a weird texture, it's okay! I glazed them to protect them. Just wanted to say :D]
thinking about unus annus again. something about being born to die, knowing you can only have so much happiness before everything will be taken away, knowing that death is coming for you, knowing there's nothing you can do to change your fate. remember you will die.
Honestly, Unus Annus had The End's influence all over it. Two very silly men with large followings suddenly decide to play death-prophet apropos of nothing, and arranged matters so that said large followings dwelt extensively on mortality, loss and the inevitable end of all things. Inevitably it walked along the root of it's timer, oblivion drawing nearer each day.
And the moment of its death felt just like any other.
Scattered pages of it still exist out there in disparate and forbidden corners of the internet, sealed in digital skin, ever denied the death it longed for.
If you ever feel embarrassed for something you’ve done, I must tell you of that one and ONLY TIME Mark noticed me when Unus Annus was a thing, through all my edits and memes, he chose this :))))
