Maskeden Haltere / From Mask to Barbell 😷🏋️ -English in the comment- TR: Ürün tasarımcısı Michela Pinazza, İtalyanca'da ağırlık anlamına gelen "Peso" isimli çalışmasında, plastik atıkların çevre üzerindeki "ağırlığına" dikkat çekmek amacıyla, kullanılmış tek kullanımlık yüz maskelerini kullanarak çeşitli ağırlıklar ve bir kum torbası üretti. Pandemi sırasında tek kullanımlık yüz maskelerinin kullanımı artarak sadece bir yılda 1.550 milyar adede ulaştı. Maskelerin her birini yaklaşık 2-3 saat takılıyor, ancak bozunmaları en az 500 yılı alıyor. Tek kullanımlık yüz maskeleri, % 95 oranında, nispeten kolay geri dönüştürülebilen bir termoplastik olan polipropilenden oluşuyor. Pinazza, "Peso" koleksiyonunu oluşturmak için 10.000'den fazla maske kullandı. Ağırlıkları üretmek için yaptığı çalışmada tek kullanımlık maskeler parçalandı, eritildi ve bir kalıba döküldü. Her ağırlık, gerçek ağırlığına değil, halterde kullanılan maskelerin sayısına atıfta bulunmakta ve en büyüğü 1840 maske, en küçüğü 105 maske içermekte. Polipropilen çok ağır bir malzeme olmadığından, en büyük halter bile yoğun bir spor çalışması için yeterli değil. The retrospective, which was created in close collaboration with the two artists, shows around 60 works on three floors that deal with the redefinition of the material, in different ways. Plastic meets wood, everyday objects and everyday consumer goods receive new appreciation. Products that seem to have become useless are transformed by removing them from their original context and transferring them to another one.
