Hello friend! 👋 Meeting friends and new people at a con is always fun! Strangely I always happen to run into @lunatic.artimus at Comiccon Stuttgart. What started as a funny coincidence became kind of tradition by now 😁. 🚨Progress was made! 😁 We spend the weekend in Bavaria, but I was able to bring some of my crafting stuff along and omg it was the best decision for I was finally able to finish Sylvie’s cape! 😁 It was my first time working with snaps (shocking I know!) and I basically winged the pattern so I wasn’t sure things would work out but… they did! ✔️ sleeves are finisjed 🙌 . Another point to cross from my to do list 😁! The fit still is kind of tricky and certainly could be improved but it totally works as it is. I was so afraid to add the trim around the rings! I could have easily messed up everything with the clue… In the end I took it slow and it was worth it!😁 I also -again- spend some time to handsew the edges down on the inside. Progress! 🙌 One sleeve down! One to go! I wanted to finish both sleeves today but I am too tired 😴 so sleeve no.2 has to wait another day. The good news is: I am now certain the sleeves will work! 😁 I wasn’t sure until I tried the finished combination but YES! 🙌i am also super glad about past me deciding to go for faux stretch leather instead of some leftover leather I had.
