life update :3 (a little vent-y)
sooo, been over 200 days since the house caught fire and we had to move. obviously, a lot of stuff's been happening. can't go into deep details for fear of someone I don't want to find this, finding this, but I'll say this much: FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've very rarely mentioned family on here (for obvious reasons - this account is NOT made for that lol) but here goes. tw for pretty heavy topics: mentions of abuse, father issues, health issues, transphobia & financial issues. I turned 18 Feb 21st, literally just almost 2 months before the damn house caught fire. Meanwhile, my brother's still a minor. MEANING, I narrowly escaped the custody battle my mom & dad are in. But unfortunately, he's still stuck in the middle of it. :( My pops was not really the nicest person to me when I was a kid -
whooping my ass whenever I did anything wrong, no matter how minor the offense was.
Telling me that he loved God more than he loved me, because "You're God's gift to me. God is the one who gave you to me in the first place," when I was four.
Telling me that if I didn't start being ok with receiving physical affection from family - which he knew made me uncomfortable - I was "going to grow up to be a S3R1AL K1LL3R" (yes he said that.)
Telling me that "God doesn't make mistakes," and that he "made me into a beautiful young woman for a reason" after I came out to him personally at 14 - big mistake 0/10 stars, would never do again. You get the idea. And those are the tame examples I could think of. So, I finally cut him off. As soon as my mom, brother, & I were in our new place, I blocked his number and haven't talked to him since. I was sick of him not respecting my boundaries, and repeatedly demonstrating that he thought of me as nothing more than a possession. Tired of him making me feel crazy all the time too. But now he's fucking with my mom & brother. Intentionally not paying child support till the last minute possible - & then making it in as small of payments at a time as he possibly can (yes he can afford it btw.) Trying to force my brother to go over to his place, even when my brother does NOT want to - which has begun giving my brother psychological issues & issues with school, mirroring the ones I used to struggle with bc of that bastard. My mom is juggling all sorts of things, & I really at least wanna try to help financially by getting a job, but I can't yet because: she says that I'm only 18, & shouldn't have to get a job to help out (I disagree.) I don't have an ID bc she wants me to wait on my legal name change - which costs a pretty decent chunk of change - reason is bc she "wants me to have as easy an early adulthood life as possible" (love her.) AND, I haven't actually graduated - No, I dipped in 11th bc school was hell (not exaggerating,) & instead just decided to pursue a GED, that I haven't been able to work towards bc of the shit show that is life in midwestern america. So I've been very depressed, exhausted, & hopeless. The least I can do is clean up our house while she's at work, & get this - some days I don't even have the physical energy to do THAT! I do not know what the hell is wrong with my body currently, but it absolutely sucks. & I'm really tired of just taking up space all the time. She's dealing with health issues too, & I'm always worried ab her. Idk what the hell to do, but something's gotta give. Everybody needs a fucking break. I keep trying to shoo away all the dark thoughts, push myself as often as possible, & keep my fingers crossed, but jfc... Sorry just needed to yell into the void for a sec. I'll live, I'm sure - I've survived worse. Sometimes things just suck. But I like to think that someday they won't. :,)

Return to Me
After our session at Top Gun I offered for Hangman to come over for dinner. I had put a roast in the crockpot all day so it would be ready when we arrived back at the house. The smell entered our noses the second that the door opened and we both signed in satisfaction.
"Oh man, that smells amazing." Hangman said dreamily as we began to set our things down in the entryway. He had time to change and get a shower in after our workout. I, on the other hand, had not.
I left him alone in the living room for a few minutes while I showered and changed. I came back out with a pair of sweatpants on and one of Bradley's comfortable t-shirts. I would be lying if I said I hadn't slept in the same one last night. It was the last one I had that even remotely had his scent.
I looked over at the kitchen island and smiled, seeing Hangman had set up some plates and already managed to find the wine, pouring us both a glass. He looked up at me with a small smile before plugging the wine bottle.
"You didn't have to do that." I slightly scolded him as I approached.
Hangman shrugged in response, "it's the least I could do." He held out a glass to me, which I gratefully took. We got our plates and began eating. The conversation started small. Discussing the pilots, what we liked and didn't like, things we could do to challenge them.
Then the conversation changed to memories, fun, light hearted topics. We had moved from the island where we were eating to the floor of the living room, playing cards on the coffee table.
"I don't know why this game is called Trash." Hangman stated, flipping his cards over until he had to put one in the discard pile.
"It's probably because you throw away the cards you don't need." I suggested. Truthfully, I didn't know either.
"But you have to count to 10, what does counting have to do with trash?" He persisted.
"You could ask Oscar."
Hangman looked at me like I had just spoken another language, completely confused. "Huh?"
"Oscar the grouch, from Sesame Street? He lives in a trashcan."
It was obvious that we were both trying our best to hold back laughter, until we couldn't anymore. Hangman and I burst out laughing so hard we both gripped our stomachs for support.
Suddenly, the sound of the front door closing echoed through the house. We couldn't see who it was yet, but they walked down the hallways until they appeared in the living room.
"Rooster?" I asked, relief in my voice. He had on some camouflage military pants and a plain, untucked, white t-shirt. His many bags thudded to the ground and he looked over in our direction. He looked exhausted, his eyes tired with dark circles under them. Though his face slowly grew into a more angry look.
"Get out, Jake." Bradley nearly growled.
"Excuse me?" Hangman challenged, standing up to his feet.
"Jake get the fuck out of my house!" Bradley screamed, pointing towards the door.
"Bradley!" I scolded him. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This was the second time I had ever heard him angrily yell, and it was scary.
Hangman put his hands up in surrender, gathering his things up and heading for the door. He stopped right in front of Bradley, giving him a cold stare before exiting.
"Where do you get off screaming at your friends to leave, huh?" I began to raise my voice now as I approached Bradley.
"It's my damn house. I can do what I want." He snapped back at me.
"Well where have you been, huh? Where have you been Bradley." I knew the answer to that already, he was on a mission. I was more meaning to his mysterious disappearance, not responding to my texts or calls.
"You know exactly where I was." He sassed back, talking as though the answer was obvious.
"No I didn't, because you couldn't be bothered to return any of my calls or at least send me a text!" I could feel the emotions welling up in my throat, it closing around itself.
"I couldn't use my phone the last week because they said it could jeopardize the mission!"
"But you could call Pete and not me?"
"It was late at night! I didn't want to wake-"
"I thought you were fucking dead!" I finally screamed, tears now brimming to my eyelids. I bit down on my bottom lip to try and prevent any more from coming.
"You thought I was dead so you bring another man into my house?" Our argument had now turned into us screaming at each other. Most of my anger was directed at him, but part of it had slowly been building up.
"Jake is my friend. I brought him here to help me! He helped me get back in the plane and is helping me with classes!"
"God, y/n he's in love with you! It's so obvious!"
"I know that!" We were silent for a moment, our angry breaths were the only things filling the room.
"He told me, we talked about it. We're still friends."
"Y/n you can't just be friends with someone you're in love with."
"Well it wouldn't matter anyway because I'm not in love with him I'm in love with you!"
My heart dropped down to my stomach at the sudden instinct for those words to jump out. Bradley seemed to relax his body, his face moving into shock.  Tears now tore down my face rapidly. I couldn't handle it anymore. I grabbed my keys from the bowl and stormed off to the front door. I ignored Bradley's protests for me to wait or to stay until I reached for the door handle and flung it open.
"I'm in love with you too." He called from down the hall. I turned my head back to look over my shoulder. I stared at him for a brief moment before dramatically slamming the door behind me and making my way to my car.
Hangman had already loaded his things into the trunk and was leaning against the side of the house. He immediately pushed off and came up to me when he saw me.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I sniffled my nose, clearly not okay, but responding so anyway.
"I'm great." I grumbled dryly.
"What happened?" He tried to ask again when we got into the car. I turned the key and started the engine.
"I don't want to talk about it." I insisted sternly. I was thankful he knew me well enough to listen, even though the silent car ride back to base was excruciatingly awkward.
I knew I didn't want to go back to the house once Hangman was safely back at base. Truthfully, I knew exactly the place that I wanted to be. I put my car in park in the driveway and went straight inside.
Maverick was inside making dinner in the kitchen when we locked eyes. He smiled at me, obviously happy to see me. I think he noticed quickly that something was wrong because that smile faded quickly.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, throwing down the towel he had in his hands and approaching me quickly. I would have responded if I didn't feel like the first word to come out of my mouth would also bring tears.
"Bradley's back."
"He's back?" Maverick asked surprised.
"Stormed into the house while Hangman and I were eating and started yelling."
I sat down on the couch as my head fell into my hands. Maverick moved to the couch next to me and brought me into his arms. I explained the situation in more detail to him while frustrated tears.
"I don't know why I'm crying I'm just really mad." I sniffled, wiping my tears away aggressively. I was now even more mad at myself for crying.
Maverick gently rubbed his hand up and down my arm near my shoulder comfortingly. "That doesn't sound like him. Did you he anything else?"
"No. I left right after..." my voice trailed off, not sure I wanted to finish my thought.
"After what?" He asked.
A knock at the door interrupted our conversation. Not just a knock, a persistent pounding at the door. Maverick jumped to his feet and approached the door.
"Brad?" Maverick asked. I felt my heart drop. My head whipped towards the door to try and get a better look.
"Can I talk to y/n? Please?"
"She doesn't want to see you right now." Maverick said rather sternly. I was surprised he was so willing to take my side.
"Please, Mav." I couldn't see him but I could hear how upset he was by the tone of his voice. He was broken.
"I don't think it's a good idea."
"Pete," I finally stood up and caught his attention. I walked over to the doorway and saw Bradley standing there, looking at me expectedly.
"Can we please talk y/n?" He asked, a pleading look in his eyes. I sighed and signaled for him to follow me. I led him through the house and into the back yard. I sat down on one of the patio chairs and watched as Bradley paced back and forth on the pavement. He finally took a big sigh and walked over to me. I expected him to sit down in the chair right next to mine, but instead he knelt down on the ground, taking both of my hands into his. I was surprised by this gesture.
"There's something I need to tell you. It's part of the reason I lashed out the way I did but it is in no way an excuse. And I'm sorry for yelling and not calling and being a total asshole to you."
He was being so sincere, so honest, never in my life had I ever been with a man who was willing to get on his knees and apologize for his actions. My heart ached from the way he was acting, I could tell he felt bad.
"Thank you, I really appreciate that. I'm sorry-"
"No, you have nothing to apologize for."
Bradley took a deep breath and looked off into the distance before looking back over at me. "About 5 years ago I was in a relationship with this girl who I thought that I was going to marry. We were going to get married. On the morning of the wedding, I went looking for her mother because her father was supposed to help me with the groomsmen activities. When I approached the bridal suite, I heard her inside talking about how she was marrying me because she would receive my military benefits as well as compensation. She knew I would give anything her because I was 'too nice'."
My heart dropped out of my chest. I have no idea where it went because it felt like it wasn't even beating at all. I've been thinking about this story for a while. On and off my mind would wander to what Hangman had told me that night, always too scared to ask because of what Maverick said. I couldn't believe that it was true.
I reached out and put a hand on the side of his face in sympathy. "Bradley,"
He grabbed my hand that was on his face and gave it a gentle squeeze before continuing. "Then, I overheard her say to her maid of honor, that I wasn't her type. She said that she would rather see someone like my friend Jake Seresin. If it weren't for the money, she would rather be with someone like him. So I packed up all my things and left. And I never looked back."
My mouth was gaped open in shock, I couldn't believe someone had actually said that about him. I instantly wanted to be protective, jump to his defense. In the few short months I knew rooster, he has proven time and time again that he would do anything for those he cared about. It made me unbelievably angry to hear someone wanted to take advantage of that.
"I know that you two have known each other longer than we have, but I got jealous. I saw you two sitting together and laughing, It felt like I blacked out with anger. I didn't want the same thing to happen again."
I looked down into his brown eyes, watching then flip back and forth between my two eyes. I smiled at him gently. "I meant what I said."
Rooster raised his eyebrow at me. "About me getting off to screaming at people?"
I playfully smacked him in the shoulder, which he pretended to be hurt by. "I love you." I said and felt a heat spread across my face. The slowest smile spread across his face, a smile that illuminated the entire world, sitting right in front of me.
Bradley wrapped me in his arms, picking me up off the chair and hugging me tight. His lips pressed against mine in one of the most loving kisses I had ever received. Every ounce of passion and feeling he ever had was exerted in that kiss. And I felt every single bit of it. Ever ounce of love, longing, and relief.
He finally put me down, bringing his hands to either side of my face. "I knew from the moment I met you, it would be impossible for me not to love you." We brought each other in for a kiss one last time, only to be interrupted by a certain trouble maker.
"Get a room!" Amelia dramatically shouted into the yard, causing us both to look in her direction. Bradley let out a relieved huff and smiled at the young girl. "Hey Mills."
They met halfway through the yard before giving each other a large hug. Bradley couldn't see it, but Amelia looked at me and gave me a thumbs up behind his back. I chuckled, giving her a small wink in response.
Amelia squealed in surprise as Bradley lifted her up and threw her over his shoulder. "What's for dinner? I'm starving!" He announced while walking into the house.
I took a moment outside to look up at the stars in the sky. I smiled, signing in relief. I was beyond happy that he was back. I had this perfect image of his return in my head so for it to turn into an argument, it was unexpected. What was also unexpected was my confession of love. I was so wrapped up in the moment and my feelings that I didn't even realize I felt that way.
Bradley and I made eye contact through the window. He gave me a gentle smile, then made his way to the door to the backyard. "You coming, sweetheart?" He called to me.
I turned to him with a smile, taking his hand as we walked into the kitchen for dinner.

Chapter 4-We Don't Talk About Afton
Hey guys! Here’s the next chapter for you all. It took me a while since I wanted to get another fanfic done first before jumping back into this. It would’ve been faster if Bendy and the Dark Revival and Pokémon Scarlet/Violet didn’t drop on the same week!
Luckily I’ve been having fun with both games as we speak plus I have work as well and it’s been getting busier with the holidays coming up so it will be slow with fanfic updates.
Thanks to @gigilefache for being my beta reader.
Enjoy!
~~~~~~
It was a relaxing Friday night, and Hat and Bow decided to invite their class for a movie night. It had only been two weeks since their arrival and already, kids were asking them to hang out with them more and more often.
The movie they decided to watch was a popular movie that came out not too long ago. It featured a young girl who felt like an outcast in her own family until disaster happened and it’s up to her to save the day.
Hat Kid and Bow Kid were into the movie and sat close to the screen. Michael wasn’t paying much attention as he had watched the movie five times thanks to Elizabeth and Evan.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to have flower magic?” Elizabeth sighed.
Basil overheard what the young girl said and turned to her. “You know if you really want to feel like her. I have a garden full of flowers and plants. You can visit anytime.” He told her.
“Really?” Elizabeth asked. Basil nodded in reply. Elizabeth smiled excitedly to see what Basil’s garden looks like.
“You’ll love it. Trust me.” Kel said.
Hat and Bow turned to the group and sushed them as they were trying to watch the movie. Kel chuckled nervously forgetting the two aliens haven’t watched the movie yet.
As the group continued to watch, the Afton kids didn’t pay much attention to the time until the movie was finished.
“You guys want to watch one more movie?” Hat Kid asked.
“Sure.” Michael replied. He let out a yawn, “what time is it though?”
Hat Kid checked the time on her watch. “Almost 10:00 PM.”
Michael’s eyes widened and he quickly got off the couch. “Oh crap! We gotta go!” He yelled.
Evan and Elizabeth groaned as they got up. As much as they wanted to stay longer, they knew they had to head home as soon as possible. “See you guys at school.” Evan said, giving a wave. He then let Fredbear give a wave before Michael grabbed him and the three bolted out the ship.
Hat Kid sighed and turned to the rest of the group. “Do you guys want to keep going or call it a night?” She asked.
“We can keep going.” Aubrey said. “Maybe one more movie, and then call it a night?”
Hat Kid and Bow Kid thought about it, and looked at each other. “Well alright,” Hat Kid replied, “you wanna pick the movie, Bow?”
“Sure!” Bow Kid replied beaming.
As Bow was picking the movie, Hat Kid turned to Aubrey. “So, why couldnt Micahel, Elizabeth, and Evan stay longer?” She asked.
Basil was about to respond, but Aubrey covered his mouth and glared at him. “It’s best you shouldn’t know.” Aubrey replied.
Hat Kid tilted her head like a confused puppy. “Why? It can’t be that bad.”
“Just, it’s best to know less of their situation.”
Hat Kid sighed. “Fine.”
“Found a movie!” Bow Kid beamed. Hat Kid smiled seeing the movie Bow picked out, which featured a unicorn on the cover. She turned it on as the group watched the last movie of the night.
~~~~~~~~
The Afton siblings ran as fast as they could. Michael took a look at his watch seeing that it was only two minutes until 10:00 PM. “Come on! We gotta make it before dad comes home!” Michael yelled.
While running, Evan started to get exhausted, almost ready to pass out. “S-Slow down!” Evan gasped. Elizabeth turned to see Evan leaning on a light pole trying to catch his breath. She sighed, going back to her younger brother and lifting him to her back. She then held on to his Fredbear plushie and the three continued one.
By the time the Afton kids made it home, Michael was relieved to see their father’s car hadn't been parked in the driveway yet. Before the trio could go inside, they quickly went to catch their breaths, but slowly made it to the door.  “Okay. We just made it.” Michael said. He quickly fished for his keys and quickly unlocked the door.
Once inside, Michael turned on the lights to the living room so they could see where they were going. “Okay. You two better get into pajamas and get to bed.” Michael explained.
“What about you?” Evan asked.
“Never mind me.” Michael replied. “You two are the ones up past your bedtime. Me, I’ll be fine.” He explained. Elizabeth and Evan weren’t so sure, they looked at one another before slowly going to the bathroom to brush their teeth and get ready for bed. Once Michael heard the bathroom door close he sighed in relief and looked out the window waiting for his father.
“I know you’re off work, and you're watching us somehow.” Michael thought. “Just show yourself and punish us already.” Michael waited for a while, but soon heard his younger siblings leave the bathroom and head to their respective rooms.
Elizabeth tucked Evan into bed and gave him a kiss goodnight. “Night little bro.” Elizabeth whispered. She then gave a kiss to Evan’s Fredbear plush and tucked them both in snug. She then shut off the light, which activated Evan’s night light automatically.
“Night Liz.” Evan whispered before falling asleep.
Elizabeth was about to head to her room, but quickly glanced at Michael’s room to see he had come upstairs and was asleep at his desk. She gave a smile and grabbed her older brother’s blanket from the bed and draped it over him.”Night Mikey.” Elizabeth whispered. She closed her brother’s door and went to her room.
Meanwhile, back on Hat and Bow’s ship everyone was fast asleep after the last movie they saw. However, Hat Kid was still wide awake as she stared up at the ceiling. She turned and saw Bow Kid was also  asleep, smiling, showing that she was dreaming something nice. Hat Kid sighed and slowly got out of bed and headed to the kitchen to grab some water, hopefully to relax her.
She grabbed a cup and poured some water in it before taking a sip. As she drank, she heard the door open, causing her to turn around. She sighed in relief seeing it was only Basil. “Oh hey, Basil. Can’t sleep too?” Hat Kid asked.
“Yeah.” Basil replied with a chuckle. “But now that everyone is asleep, I can tell you about Mr. Afton.” He said. Hat Kid froze, almost spitting out her water, but was able to swallow it coughing a bit as the water went down the wrong pipe.
Hat Kid covered her mouth and waited to calm down from coughing. She let out a sigh knowing now she wasn’t gonna cough anymore. “Why doesn’t no one want to talk about him?” Hat Kid asked.
Basil shrugged as he sat down across from Hat Kid. “Just that besides him being the principal, there’s tons of stories about him.” He explained.
“What kind of stories?”
Basil sighed as one story came to mind, but it frightened him. He didn’t want to bring it up to Hat Kid, she’s way too young to hear it. “Well to keep it simple, he’s creepy.” Basil answered. Hat Kid just looked at her cup and Basil knew this wasn’t the answer she was looking for. “Well there’s tons of horror stories about him, like he’s not alive but dead.”
Hat Kid’s eyes widened hearing this. “That sounds interesting.” She replied.
“Yeah.” Basil replied. “There’s also the fact he may not care for his kids.”
Hat Kid felt a quick pain in her heart hearing that. She wondered if that’s why Micahel left early with his siblings or even why Elizabeth is snappy with her. “That explains a lot.” Hat Kid whispered.
“What was that?” Basil asked.
“Nothing important.” Hat Kid replied. Once she finished the last of her drink she put her cup in the sink and let out a yawn. She started to walk back to her room, but stopped still seeing Basil was sitting down. “Aren’t you going back to bed?”
“Nah, not yet. I’ll be there shortly.” Basil replied. Hat Kid gave a small smile before heading back to her room leaving Basil alone in the kitchen.
Once he was alone, Basil was finally relieved that he could be alone with just his thoughts.
It was a couple of years ago, Basil and their group of friends were playing at Freddy Fazbears. Basil was about to enjoy a slice of pizza, but something caught the corner of his eye.
There he saw Mr. Afton talking with a young brunette girl. Basil saw something glimmer in Mr. Afton’s hand, which scared the young girl.
Basil’s eyes widened, horrified seeing what Mr. Afton did next.
Basil snapped out of it and started to breathe heavily. “I didn’t see anything. I didn’t see anything.” He told himself. Tears started to fall from his eyes as he tried to control his breathing, repeating those words over and over again.
What he didn’t notice was there was something, a shadow behind him looking like it was trying to swallow him whole.
By morning, Basil was found asleep on the kitchen floor. Aubrey rubbed his back in comfort as she looked up at the rest of the group in sadness. Even Hat Kid was in shock as she just talked to Basil a few hours ago, and he seemed fine.
Monday finally rolled around, and Basil was in class. When he woke up, Aubrey had told him how the kids found him on Hat Kid’s ship which made him feel embarrassed.
“Are you okay?” Hat Kid asked from across his desk.
Basil looked up and gave a small fake smile, “Yeah. I’m fine.” He replied. “I got some extra sleep yesterday.”
“Well, okay.” Hat Kid replied as she sat down at her seat.
Soon enough, the Afton siblings arrived at school and just as they made it to class Mr. Prince stopped them. “Michael, there you are.” He said. “Your father wants to see you and your siblings in his office.”
Michael, Elizabeth, and Evan looked at each other and gulped. The three walked towards their father’s office and knocked on the door.
A balding man with pale eyes wearing a purple suit was signing some papers, but stopped hearing the knock on the door. “Come in.” He said.
Michael opened the door, and Mr. Afton sighed seeing his kids. “Hi Daddy.” Elizabeth and Evan said nervously.
“Hi.” Mr. Afton said. “Sit down all of you.” The siblings did what they were told and sat down.
“So why did you call for us?” Elizabeth asked.
“Did you three come home in time?” Mr. Afton asked.
The Afton siblings froze. They get scared when their father asks questions about their whereabouts because how did he know they went out and what time they came home?
“We came home in time like always.” Michael answered, crossing his arms.
Mr. Afton glared not liking Michael’s snide remarks. “If you did come home in time, where were you?” He asked.
“Just visiting a friend,” Evan said, “and I promise you we came home in time.”
Mr. Afton sighed but still kept the same glare on his face. “You three know the rules, you come home at 9:30 pm when you're hanging out with your so-called friends.” He explained.
“We know.” Elizabeth said.
“Good, now go back to class.” Mr. Afton told them. The siblings looked down and left without saying a word. Once they left, Mr. Afton was back to signing papers until a little while later when another knock came to his door.
It was Basil, who slowly opened the door. “You needed to see me, Mr. Afton?” He asked.
“Yes, it's about something that happened not too long ago. Has it been five years already?” Mr. Afton stated.
Basil gulped as he slowly closed the door. “W-what about it?” He asked.
“You know, we’re gonna keep mentioning it until you graduate.” Mr. Afton said. Basil sighed, anxiety churned in his stomach. He slowly walked towards Mr. Afton’s desk and sat down. “Now, I need to know what did you see that night?” He asked.
“N-nothing sir.” Basil answered.
It was only caught with a blink of an eye, but Basil was for sure he saw the principal smirk at him. “Alright, you can go.” Mr. Afton said. Basil felt relieved and was ready to leave, but Mr. Afton stopped him. “But, I should let you know Basil, you're one of my best students and have a wonderful future. It would be a shame if you lost all that or not having your friends around.”
Basil’s eyes widened as fear rushed through his face. He gave a nod, and Mr. Afton gave a smirk knowing that will keep Basil in line. As Basil left the office and slowly walked back to the classroom with the shadow from the night before followed him.

Hey you know that old au i made where Meliodas stayed away from Elizabeth to prevent the curse from activating (self blame) and became cold and reserved as a result so the sins and Elizabeth have to save him from himself with the power of love?
I came up with an alternate ending:
After the initial wedding, there’s a short interlude before the ceremony where Meliodas officially becomes king. Meliodas starts to get cold feet about the whole becoming king, he already said that he’d do it but now that its actually happening... he throws up in a bush.
The demon had basically been ignoring these reservations about gaining these responsibilities and now it had come to bite him in the butt.
He tells his wife (his wife!!!) about his sudden anxiety and she thinks for a moment.
“What if…you don’t do the ceremony…”
“Liz as much as I’d love to skip the fancy stuff your father was pretty insistent-“
“No, no, i meant that, what if you…don’t become king and I don’t become Queen!”
“…what?”
“Okay so hear me out, we’ve been through a lot, right?”
“Well yeah-“
“Exactly! I personally believe that we deserve a long deserved break from conflict, i mean, I've seen what human politics is like. It’s brutal and it’s not a job I wanna be stuck with for the rest of my final life.”
Meliodas cringes at the thought of that, he distinctly remembers a few events he forced to attend in Liones where the entire royal court was present. It was…not a very nice place to be.
And don’t even get him started on the court meetings/trials, backhanded tactics, bribery, plots and even physical violence. He distinctly remembers the usually calm and collected Margaret climb over the table to strangle a snobby duchess. Gilthunder pulled her back though. (Just search up British Parliament fights on YouTube and you’ll get the gist)
“…Okay yeah I see your point-”
“Exactly!”
“-But Baltra wouldn’t approve of us telling him that we just suddenly changed our minds about the whole thing.”
“So we won’t tell him, let’s just skip the ceremony!”
“And how do you suppose we do that?”
Elizabeth was about to answer when she heard the neighing of horses. She turned around and her eyes brightened, the half-goddess elbowed Meliodas in the side drawing his attention to what she was looking at.
“…no.”
“I mean…”
“No.”
“There’s no one around…”
“Liz-”
“No guards in sight…”
“Ellie-“
“It looks like it’s already prepared for a long journey…”
“Elizabet-“
“And no one will miss it anyway, right?”
“I beg to differ.”
“Oh c’mon-“
Meliodas groaned in frustration, “Elizabeth, look at me, I mean it. look. at. me.” She does and he looks up at her with his usual stony expression.
“We are not doing this, and just because your the best thing that’s ever happened to me, we just got married and I love you more than life itself, it does not mean that you’ll be able to convince me to go along with whatever scheme your plotting?”
Elizabeth smirked before stepping closer to her husband causing him to flush even more, “I-I’m putting my foot down this time, nothing you say or do will convince me otherwise, ya hear!”
(10 minutes later)
“Where are those two?!! their 5 minutes late and the crowd is getting anxious?”
“Erm your majesty sir?”
“Yes, do have any updates for where my daughter and her husband are?!”
“Um that’s the thing your majesty…”
Baltra pales before shaking the knight, “a-are they lost? Badly injured?!! Dead?!!!!”
“nonononono, your majesty nothing like that, their both perfectly healthy!”
Everyone sighed, “that’s a relief…then where are they?”
“They were last seen riding out of Liones on their wedding carriage…”
“WHAT?????!!!!!!!!!!” Everyone yelled in unison.
(Cut back to)
Elizabeth and Meliodas riding through the country in their beautiful wedding carriage adorned by flowers, cackling and whooping in victory. Elizabeth hands were on the reigns while Meliodas sat next to her trying not to fall off.
A bump in the road causes Meliodas to fall in Elizabeth’s lap, he flushes at this but after seeing her cheeky smile pushes her face away, trying to cover up his laughter.
“Pfft, Your dad’s gonna kill us!”
“Actually he’s more likely to kill you.”
Gasp, “your saying that he’d just kill his beloved son in law??!!!”
“It’s either he kills you or Zeldris kills you.”
“…I’ll take Baltra then.”
“Pfft and until either of them does kill you-“
“Oh so we’re talking inevitables now, when it was your idea.”
“Yes cuz your gonna be blamed for corrupting me, and I’ll get off with a slap on the wrist!”
Meliodas stared at her, “…why everyone thinks your so innocent is beyond me, you are evil!”
“Yeah whatever you say darling~” Meliodas flushed at the nickname, “-anyway as I was saying, until that does happen, we’ll continue to love each other till death do us part, right Meliodas?”
Meliodas gazed at the girl beside him, her silver hair glistening in the fading sunlight as her eyes sparkled, how did the demon ever think that he could ever let himself part from her. He smiled
“Yeah…till death do us part Elizabeth.”
They share a tender kiss as they ride into the sunset.
Fin.
…Well it was the ending until Elizabeth got pregnant that is and Meliodas got stressed that he won’t have the emotional availability that’s needed for parenthood
(I’ll do the actual ending on the reblog chain, this is just another idea)

Zapped to Another World
Genshin Impact x Fem!Reader
I wrote this in my spare time when I was working back in November and thought that I should share this ^-^
Depending on the comments/notes and if I have spare time, I may be updating this.
[Masterlist]
Tumblr media
The rain poured down your umbrella. The clouds coloured the sky a dark grey as you ran for the bus. You sighed as you reached the traffic light. Yup, you were definitely not going to be able to catch it now.
School had ended for the year, which meant more free time for you and the new game you had recently gotten into. Genshin Impact.
You could not help but smile at the thought of it. With school out of the picture, you could finally focus on the game completely. There was so many things to do. Farming for artifacts, completing your daily commissions…
You sloshed your way over as the lights turned green. While you love that school is out, you honestly hated the wet weather that came with the winter break and the feeling of wet socks on your feet. After safely crossing the road, you winced as a white truck rushed by, soaking your clothes through as the giant puddle you have been trying to avoid poured onto your skirt and legs.
You let out a sigh as you quickly took shelter under a tree nearby to try and wring out the remaining water when it happened.
“Just my luck…”You muttered as you clumsily balanced your umbrella, “Can it get any worse?”
Just as those words left your lips, it happened. A white flash lit the sky for a brief second. But it was too late. Thousands of volts came cascading upon your body and everything turned white.
Tumblr media
“This is your fault.” You heard a voice. It sounded like a young, sulky boy.
“How is this my fault? You’re the one who lashed out when I put down that +4 card down.”
“THAT AIN’T FAIR STILL! I WAS SO CLOSE TO WINNING AND YOU BLEW IT!”
“Uh…What’s going on?” You blinked as your vision settled. You sat in what looked like a library of sorts, with several shelves lining the walls and a long white and gold marble table in the centre of it all. A girl with long, platinum hair glared down at her male counterpart, who huffed in annoyance.
“How about you explain it to her, Artem.”
“Sorry, but I don’t speak to cheaters.”
“Oh for gods sake- fine. We apologize for uhm…Killing you. Truly, a thousand apologies. If only someone can control their temper for once in their life-“ The girl shot a dirty look at Artem.
“LIKE YOU ARE ONE TO TALK! SOLARIA, YOU SINGED MY EYEBROWS OVER KILLING YOU IN AMONG US!”
“Well excuse you! My anger was perfectly justified! You voted me out even when I told you the truth and that I was innocent!”
“DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO EMBROIDER AND GROOM THEM BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN?”
“Could you guys please stop fighting for 10 seconds?” You yelled over the noise. The girl and boy finally stopped, leaving you to rub at your ringing ears.
You sighed. Kids were always a handful back in your home. You had to take care of your cousins whenever your aunt was over, and it often resulted with your ears ringing and your head pounding.
“What’s done is done. I’m…well, dead and I seriously have no idea where I am.” You said, trying to stay composed.
“Well…In your human terms, this is kind of like the After Life.” The boy, Artem explained, sighing as he put down his Uno cards.
“Or well, it shouldn’t since…You were supposed to live for like, another 50 to 60 years. But someone messed it up.” The girl, Solaria, summoned a book from a shelf. You blinked as a weathered leather book with gilded, golden pages floated down onto the table.
“Shut up. I said that I was sorry, didn’t I?” Artem groaned.
“Sir Artem, are you losing your braincells? I was the one who apologized. You still owe the human an apology.” Solaria bit back icily.
With a wave of her hand, the pages of the book flipped and she studied it carefully for a minute before looking back up.
“Well, as a soul now, you have an option. You can go into Elysium or be reincarnated.” Solaria sighed as Artem huffed again.
“Huh. What do you know? Elysium sounds real good right about now-“You thought out loud as Artem’s eyes turned wide with fear.
“Please don’t go into Elysium!” Artem yelled. The books shook in the shelves as his voice echoed.
“Ow, inside voice please? Hasn’t your mother taught you better?” You winced in pain. It seems that immortals had a throat of steel, judging from the way they could shout infinitely.
“I’m really sorry, but if Dad finds out I brought in another human because I accidentally killed them…He’s going to banish me…To Earth…” Artem looked down onto the table.
He was unable to meet your eyes as you stared at him with bemusement.
“Yeah, as much as I hate to say it, please…Reconsider on our offer to reincarnate. He is on thin ice with Father and if he is banished, I’d have to take on his duties as well. I’m pretty exhausted with the workload as it is.” Solaria sighed.
“As long as it’s not Earth, I’m cool with it.” You looked up at the ceiling, which took your breath away. The entire solar system was on it. With it, was the familiar sphere of white, green and blue.
“Hm, that is easy enough. I could reincarnate you into my world.” Artem brightened up.
Solaria sighed with relief.
“And to make up for it, I could buff you up with a couple of blessings here and there-“
“Within reason.” Solaria cut in, with a sharp look at Artem.
“Psssh, as if it’s hard to make a Gnosis.” Artem had considerably relaxed after hearing your statement.
“Are you serious? Don’t you even know the situation down at Teyvat?!” Your eyes widened. Were they talking about what you were thinking of?
Artem rose to his feet, the ivory wings on his lower back flaring. His eyes gleamed gold as he stared down his sister.
“It’s my world. I do what I like with it. If you don’t like it, get a world of your own.”
“You only got your world because Mother took pity on you. Don’t act all big when you have killed so many humans.”  Solaria hummed, rolling her eyes.
“I’ll only grant this human the bare minimum. Anything more, and I’ll let Father know of your deeds thus far, even if it means more work for me.” Solaria glared back. Her eyes gleamed silver as she did so. You felt a shiver run down your spine.
“That’s all that I’ll need then. Work on your blessings and gifts. I’ll work on mine.” Artem turned away from his sister. The siblings set to work, the atmosphere of ice cold professionalism now in the air.
Solaria rose from her place on the table. With a flick of a finger, the Uno cards vanished with a burst of gold sparkles. The leather book floated beside her as she constantly referred to its pages while flying around the room.
“Hmm…Not much of a combatant, I see. Polearms and swords will probably be hard for you. Perhaps…A catalyst?” She pulled out a bright blue book adorned in gold, with feathers sticking out.
Blowing off any dust from the beautiful book, she casually tossed it over her shoulder and onto you. You instinctively brought your arms up to protect your face but as the book hit your arms, it disappeared into a burst of gold.
“Huh?” You blinked as you saw the book reappear beside you, its pages flipping.
Solaria returned with a satchel and a bag of gold coins. Looking satisfied as she noticed the book beside you, she inserted the bag of coins into the satchel before sliding it over your shoulder. Solaria hummed to herself before smiling again.
Reaching behind her neck, Solaria detached a shimmering teardrop necklace before slipping it around yours.
“There’s nothing special about it, apart from it glowing. I thought it would be a nice touch.” Solaria winked at you.
Tilting your chin up, you froze with shock as she pressed her lips against yours.
“WHAT WAS THAT FOR?” You felt heat rush to your cheeks.
“Oh, please. Don’t be flustered. That was merely a blessing of mine. It will help you when you need to speak with the natives of the land.” Solaria coolly said as she wiped her mouth.
You were still reeling in shock. Your throat seemed to tighten as you coughed.
“..Thank you, for agreeing with us on our selfish request. To be forcibly stripped of our powers can be the worst pain and humiliation a god or goddess can bear.” Solaria murmured to you as she hurried to the end of the room, where she knelt and seemed to draw symbols in gold.
You held back your tongue. ‘What about me? I got zapped to death here.’ You thought to yourself.
“It is done. Please step into that summoning circle there.” Artem held a floating, golden cylinder in his hands. Solaria rose from her place on the floor, gesturing for you to come over.
It was a Gnosis! You were quick to obey as you hurried to Solaria’s side.
Stepping into the centre, you turned to face Artem and Solaria, who stood side by side. They flared their wings as you sensed an energy swirl around you.
“I, Artem, God of the Moon, grant you passage and dominion over my world, Teyvat. Do you accept, (Y/N) (L/N)?” Artem’s voice echoed in your ears.
“I accept.” As the words left your lips, the Gnosis within his hands flew into your chest. You gasped as it did so, a heat spreading rapidly across your chest.
“Be safe on your travels, (Y/N) (L/N).” Solaria flashed a warm smile as you coughed.
“Resigno!”
The gold summoning circle glowed bright blue and you found yourself falling through the blue skies.
Tumblr media
You screeched ungracefully as you fell from the sky headfirst. The green grass was coming up way too fast.
‘Am I going to die again?’ You thought as you held out your arms to break your fall, only for a huge gust of wind to cushion your fall.
“Huh?” You blinked in surprise as a person clad in green floated beside you.
It was a young boy with 2 braids, which gleamed blue in the light. His eyes were a beautiful mix of green and blue.
‘Venti?’ You gaped as he grabbed your hands and guided you back onto the ground.
“Never thought I’d have an audience during my practice session. Are you okay?” Venti grinned at you.
“Never...Never better. Thank you...”You gave a thumbs up as you got air back into your lungs again.
His deft fingers plucked at his harp as he sat down on the soft grass.
“It’s no problem. But what brings you here anyways? Not many people know of this spot.” Venti tilted his head. It seemed as though you uncovered his secret place.
“I- uh well...Accidents happen. I’m not a mad fan or a stalker, I swear. Well, maybe I am a fan but still.” You rambled but you forced yourself to stop talking and to breath. Venti is real and he is in front of me. Venti is real and he is in front of me.
Your heart was beating fast.
‘I should say something smart, introduce myself or something.’ You thought to yourself as you composed yourself.
You wanted to at least tell him your name but the words are out faster than you can stop them.
“Wanna grab a drink?”

CHAPTER ONE
CHAPTER TWO
The lady behind the reception desk sends Mulder and the two kids up to the fourth floor of the hospital. They find another reception area with another helpful nurse. She tells them a doctor will be with them very soon to give them an update on Scully's condition. The few minutes they have to wait tears every nerve in Mulder's body, putting his patience to a hard test. Then, to his great relief, a good-looking woman in her late thirties approaches them. "Hello Mr. Scully, my name is Dr. Hanson, I am taking care of your wife," she says, holding her hand out to shake his.
"Uh, nice to meet you, Doctor, but my name is Mulder. These are our children, Emily and William," Mulder says, nudging them both in front of him. "How is Scully? I mean, my wife? How is she?"
"Hello everybody," the doctor says good-naturedly. "Your wife is perfectly fine, Mr. Mulder. She is doing great with her breathing technique. Her cervix is at 5 centimeters, so we still have some way to go. The baby is in good shape, she is in good shape, so we believe we will have a smooth delivery in a couple of hours. Are you all coming to the delivery room?"
William is aghast, his eyes saucer-wide. "What? Ew, no way! Gross!" He shakes his head vehemently. "Never ever!"
Mulder looks at his daughter. "Em?"
Emily thinks for a moment but quickly decides against it. The thought of seeing her mother in pain, even if it was for a good cause, makes her uncomfortable. "I'd rather stay with Will. We don't want him sitting here all by himself," she says.
"I don't need a sitter," William snaps, "I'm not a baby."
"But you definitely behave like one," Emily fires back. "Now shut up and be nice so dad can look after mom and doesn't have to worry about us at each other's throats out here."
"Alright," Doctor Hanson says. "The waiting area is over there. There are magazines and a vending machine. If you need anything, ask the nurse at reception. Follow me, Mr. Scully...I mean Mr. Mulder, sorry...your wife will be happy to see you." She leads the way to the delivery room. Mulder presses a kiss on Emily's hair and waves at William who has already plummeted into a chair. "Okay, kids. See you later then," he says and hurries to follow the doctor.
"Say hello to mom from us," Emily shouts after him, "and good luck!" She looks after her father who disappears through a swinging door marked Deliveries, then trots toward the waiting area to join her brother. She places herself in a chair next to him, looks around, gets up again to leaf through a pile of magazines on one of the tables, finds nothing of interest, goes back to her chair, and lets herself fall onto it with a sigh.
"You could've gone with dad, if you wanted," William tells her without looking up from his phone.
"Nah, I'm good."
Both sit in silence for a while. William is totally absorbed in a game on his smartphone, Emily pulls a history book and some pencils out of her backpack and starts reading, writing notes on the pages in different colors here and there. William shakes his head when he sees her doing that. "That's so old school, sis."
"Well, it's good for me. This way, the information stays longer in my brain than when I read it on a screen. You may call it old school, bro, I call it efficient mnemonics."
"Whatever," he sighs, his eyes back on the screen.
"Hey, what you said in the car, that mom doesn't care about us anymore, what did you mean by that?"
"I meant what I said, whatever the baby needs comes first, and we will play second fiddle. Or maybe even third. But I don't care. If things get unbearable, I will ask to go to boarding school. They can play house with the new baby then and I won't be there to bother anyone with my presence."
"You're being ridiculous, Will. Mom and dad will never let you go to boarding school, and I can't believe it will be anything like you just said."
William only shrugs. The narrative in his head has solidified like concrete, and he can't imagine a worse place to be right now. The best he can do is immerse himself in this online game and forget about what is happening at the other side of the door his father vanished through. After some hours of playing (thank God he brought his charger) and a short nap with his head leaned back against the wall, his stomach grumbles. "Are you also hungry, Em?"
"Well, I could have a snack. How long have we been waiting?"
"We came here at 10:45 am, now it's almost 6," William tells her, looking at the big clock on the wall of the waiting area.
"Wow, seven hours already. Poor mom. I wonder why dad hasn't given us an update."
"Do you think something is going wrong and he doesn't want to tell us?" William says, his voice trembling a bit.
"I don't think so."
"It's not so unlikely at mom's age."
"And how do you know?"
"I read stuff."
"You read stuff. Where?" Emily has problems picturing her brother behind a pregnancy textbook.
"On the internet, where else? If you google 'late motherhood' you get thousands of hits. And they all tell you women should have babies in their twenties and thirties, not their fifties. There is a reason for that. Nature doesn't want you to have a baby when you're old."
"Mom's not old."
"For having babies she is. She should be a grandmother rather than giving birth."
"Well, if she was a grandmother, I would already have a baby," Emily points out pensively, then adds a determined, "no thanks!"
"I just can't believe they let this happen."
"Let what happen?"
"Getting mom pregnant. Why? How?"
"Well, I can tell you how..."
"Ew, don't!" William imitates a gagging sound. "But why?"
"I guess it just happened."
"There are ways to prevent getting pregnant, I hope you are aware of that, unlike our parents apparently. I don't want to be an uncle on top of this any time soon. How could they have been so dumb? I don't get it. For all the times mom lectured us about condoms and safe sex, she didn't follow her own words." He shakes his head showing his disapproval and lack of understanding quite clearly. "I will never have sex, that's for sure."
Emily gives a slight chuckle. At fourteen, her brother most certainly doesn't have any idea of the joy of it. When he gets older and starts fancying girls, he might rethink his attitude, but something else is hitting her the longer their conversation goes. "You've given this a lot of thought, haven't you?"
"Well, what else was I to do? It has been the main topic in our house for the longest time. I guess, sometimes they even forgot I was still living there."
"Bullshit."
William is done explaining his thoughts. His sister obviously isn't getting the point either, just like his parents. "Now are we getting something to eat, or what?"
"You hangry?" Emily asks with a smirk and he is glad she has taken the bait and they changed the topic.
"After seven hours of wasting my time in this stuffy waiting room, I think I am allowed to have a bite to eat. Do you have change for the machine?" The boy is inwardly fuming at his father for once again neglecting him by not giving him money for food.
Big sister overtakes Em again, "I am definitely getting us something more nutritious. There has to be a cafeteria somewhere with sandwiches and a drink with less sugar than what I see in that machine." The idea of having to deal with a cranky brother on a sugar-high isn't very appealing. She gets up from the chair, her mind set on improving her brother's mood with a tasty snack. Plus, the hunt for food will give her something to do instead of mulling over what her mother is enduring at this very moment in the delivery room. "Text me, if you hear something," she tells her brother before she leaves him alone.
He tries to distract himself with the game again, but his thoughts keep going back to six months ago when his world turned upside down. The situation was surreal. His parents had prepared one of their usual Sunday family dinners, Emily had come to join, and with the dessert they served them the news of the pregnancy. His sister's piercing shriek of surprised joy hurt his eardrums and he almost choked on the pie he had in his mouth. His mother annoyed him with science book citations about the finer points of late motherhood and male ongoing virility that made him want to cover his ears entirely and yell 'too much information' at her. The worst was his dad though. The puppy eyes with which he was looking at his mom and the silly petting of her still flat stomach caused a severe tickling in William's throat. To this very day, he hadn't gotten past the shock. He shakes his head to make the unpleasant memories disappear.
And then, of course, what had to happen happens: Emily is gone for about fifteen minutes when Mulder appears in the waiting area with an ear-to-ear smile on his face. "Waiting time is over, the baby's here! It's a girl! A healthy, beautiful little girl," he announces, his voice full of pride and also relief. He looks around, surprised to find William alone. "Where is your sister?"
"Getting us a snack. Is mom alright?"
"She is. She did great. I am so amazed by that woman." Mulder's whole face lights up. "She sent me to get you guys. When will Em be back?"
"I don't know. She's been gone for about 20 minutes now, it shouldn't take her much longer. I mean only if she hasn't met a cute guy she needed to get into a conversation with." William rolls his eyes so hard he sees the back of his head, his voice high-pitched on 'cute guy'.
Mulder is still so high on adrenaline that he doesn't chime in, although he too has been annoyed more than once by his daughter's tardiness, and the reason has often enough been a 'cute guy'. "Okay, gotta go back to Scully, I don't want to leave her and the baby alone for too long," he says. He points toward a long gray hallway with several doors on each side. "We're in room 302 over there on the right. As soon as Em gets back, come and join us. Mom is waiting for you guys."
"But dad," William laments in vain, his father is already around the corner. "Great," he mumbles to himself. First, they drag him out here and make him wait endless hours in an uncomfortable chair only to be here when the baby is born, and now that it is born, they don't have a problem with him standing around for God knows how long until his tardy sister is back. Typical. He pulls his phone out of his pocket, types in 'get here asap', his fingers flying over the screen, and slams the send button.
Impatience gets the better of him soon. There is no more sitting in the chair and playing online games for him now, he is pacing the waiting area, glad that nobody else is there to see him in this state. If Emily isn't back soon, he'll explode, he thinks, but it takes another 20 minutes until he sees her leisurely strolling down the hallway. He sighs in relief when she finally stands in front of him, a cardboard tray in one hand filled with two drinks and something to eat he can't quite figure out, and some flowers wrapped in paper in the other. "It's about time!" he lets her know.
"Sorry," Emily says quite relaxed, "I was just standing in line to pay for the food when I got your text. This hospital complex is huge and a bit confusing to be honest. I'm not sure I took the shortest way on my way back. Healthy muffins, iced tea, and something for your sweet tooth," she says with a grin, holding the tray out to William. "What happened?"
"What happened? What do you think happened? The baby's here, of course, and mom wants to see us!"
Emily gives a girly shriek that hurts William's ears once again. "Yay! Great! You could've been a bit more specific in your text rather than simply summoning me back here. I thought you were just craving the food."
"Yeah, well, there was food right in front of our noses." William points to the vending machine, unable to keep his outstretched index finger steady. "But you had to go on a hunting trip for some salad leaves and made me stand around here alone wondering."
"Where are they?"
"In room 302. They are waiting for us. It's this way." William nods in the direction Mulder showed him.
"Okay, let's go then."
Side by side, Emily and William take long strides toward the room they were told. "Boy or girl?" Emily asks on the way.
"Girl."
"Yay again! Ah, that's wonderful. I have a little sister," she chants.
William isn't sharing an ounce of his sister's enthusiasm. If he had been given a choice, he would have passed on this experience as a whole, but now that they are standing in front of room 302, by opening that door what he has tried to deny will become real. If only his mom is alright, he will accept all that comes with it: sleepless nights because of the baby crying, smelly diapers, more Thai takeout, and an annoying younger sister on top of an annoying older one. If only his mom is alright. Emily knocks and he hears his mother's voice say "Come in!" It sounds weak, he thinks, and his heartbeat accelerates. When he follows his sister into the room, he braces himself for the worst.

Didn’t Know
So, I was gonna continue writing a different fic, but then this one popped into my mind- so I’m writing this one
Female pronouns, some angst, children, a little bit of cussing, and I think that’s it. Reader is the same age at Benimura
I honestly don’t know what to call this, it’s just rambling so~
Update: pt 2 now available
[Shinmon Benimura]
—————-
When you found yourself in need of a sudden babysitter on a Saturday, you knew there was only one person who Might be able to help. You had just moved to Tokyo and didn’t know many people, but the only person you knew in Tokyo was a busy man- and it had be years since you had a proper conversation with him. But he was your only hope right now.
“Please, Akitaru, I was suddenly called in and I don’t have anyone to watch her!” You beg, standing in front of Company 8′s cathedral with a toddler in your arms. Obi only looked at the young woman before smiling
“I know Hinawa won’t want her in the office, saying that it would be “unprofessional”, but you know I can’t bring her to my office, please.” Obi sighed, running a hand over his face like he had to think it over. When in reality, he had already made the decision the moment you asked.
“I’ll take care of Suna for the day,” Obi called your name before repeating his statement, stopping the mother in her tracks. Extending his large arms out toward the small child.
“Thank you so much Akitaru, and if you have to leave then put her some where safe for the time you’re gone or call someone from a different company to watch her.” Handing the baby bag and Suna over to Obi with out any complaints, you looked at your watch and feel panic run through you.
“I have you go now or I’ll be late, Suna be good for Uncle Obi and his team!” You yelled before sprinting away. Obi smiled at your retreating figure before looking at the red crossed girl snuggling into his neck, he knew that you wouldn’t have asked him to watch your daughter unless you really needed him to. Chuckling to himself, he patted the girls head a few times before smiling down at her.
“Come on Suna, let’s go see the others.”
~
“Captain, why do you have a toddler?” Shinra asked when he saw Obi enter their little office, Obi smiled and lightly tickled her side.
“This is Suna, her mom is an old fire fighter friend of mine. She go called into work suddenly and asked me to watch her.” Swinging Suna around a bit, causing her to laugh. His smile grew once she started to laugh, Shinra’s question already caused the others to look at their captain, but the sound of a child’s laughter caught their attention again.
“Captain, don’t you have a meeting today with Captain Hibana, Lieutenant Konro, and Lieutenant Karim?” Obi’s face dropped a bit when Hinawa reminded him of the meeting. Sighing he nodded.
“I do, which means one of you will have to watch Suna for me while the meeting is going on.” Maki had volunteered to watch her, but was quickly shut down when Hinawa offered. Telling her that “she can barely take care of herself, how is she suppose to care for a toddler”- more or less.
*
Knocking on the door, Hinawa quietly snuck his way into the meeting Obi was having with Karim, Hibana, Konro, and Benimura. Who was forced to come by Konro.
“What do you need Hinawa?” Hinawa was about to reply, but was cut off when a bang was heard against the door, followed by small giggles. Hinawa took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose- only guessing who was “watching” Suna now.
“I take my eyes off her for 1 minute...” The door squeaked open and in wondered a black hair, red eyed toddler was a wide smile on her face.
“I made Shina and Awfer go boom!” She said while making explosion gestures with he small chubby hands. Konro, Karim, and Obi smiled at the cute gesture while Benimura, Hibana, and Hinawa remained stoic. Suna’s smiled never fell from her face, even when Hinawa was face to face with her.
“Did they do anything to you?” Suna shook her head, that made Benimura slightly smile.
“They were starting to yell at each ader, and mommy says that you shouldn’t yell at others.” Suna nodded a little after her sentence. Hinawa sighed and ruffled her hair before picking her up.
“I was going to ask you if Suna is allergic to anything so I could make her lunch.”
“She gave me a bag before she left Suna here, there’s probably some food in there.” Hinawa nodded turning to leave the room, having Suna wave over Hinawa’s shoulder as they left. Konro lightly chuckled at the toddler, but he couldn’t help but think that the child looked like someone he knew.
“Sorry about that, a friend of mine needed me to watch her last minute. Any way, where were we?”
*
“She has third generation abilities? How did she even find that out?!” Maki asked, her eyes wide, sure you were a second generation like Maki and Hinawa. But the fact that your child already knew they had powers surprised her. Obi had just walked into the lounge with Konro and Benimura, speaking about something random.
Obi chuckled in response while picking Suna up in her arms, “She left her alone for a few seconds and came back to the table on fire. Luckily her abilities are similar to yours, Maki, so she was able to put them out before they spread.” Obi lightly tickled her stomach, causing the toddler to laugh once more.
“Suna, do you think you could find Shinra?”
“Captain Obi, I don’t think letting a toddler to wander the station alone-”
“Just watch, Hinawa, we’ll be following her” he said, trying to reassure the Lieutenant, “do you think you could find him, Suna?” The toddler puffed out her cheeks and nodded, balling her tiny hands into fist before she was set down and free to run around.
Once she felt that she wasn’t going to be picked up again, she moved away from the little group of adults and softly huffed. Her eyes suddenly shined red before she started running, or trotting, towards the stairs. The adults- even Benimura- were following the toddler, Hinawa was about to pick up the child but Obi stopped him. Watching her climb the stairs up to the roof.
“Here!” She yelled once she was at the top of the stairs, pointing to the roof door. The others looked between them, brows raised and slowly following her and pushing the door open to reveal Shinra, Iris, and Tamaki eating lunch.
The others looked between them, curious as to how Suna could do that at such a young age.
“Suna,” Maki asked, crouching down to Suna’s eye level, “can you explain to us how you did that?” Suna looked back at them, nodding as she started to explain how she found Shinra. To her, it made sense, but to the adults- they were lost.
“Heat sensor,” You said while coming up behind them. “Hi baby,” You picked up Suna and tickled her. You explained how she can sense heat, and if it’s at a certain degree, can set whatever that is on fire. Or she could use it to find someone, but while your doing that- Benimura and Konro only stared at you.
“I thought you had work?” Obi asked as you put Suna back on the ground, her running to where Shinra, Iris, and Tamaki were.
“I took an early lunch to check up on my daughter. Just because she can talk and walk doesn’t mean a mother doesn’t worry.” You said before looking at your watch, “I already ate, and I have about 10 minutes left so I have to leave now.” You quickly bid goodbye before going back downstairs.
“Who was that?” Konro asked once you were out of ear shot. Obi called out to Suna and she quickly came running back to the adults.
“That was Y/N L/N, I’ve known her for a while but she only moved back to Tokyo a few years ago.” Suna snuggled into Obi’s neck, mumbling a small ‘tired’. “Hinawa knows a bit, so any other questions you have, he can most likely answer.” He said while going down to his room to put Suna down for a nap.
“Do you know how old Suna is?” Konro asked, the only one between the three men that was actually willing to talk.
“I think she’s 2, almost 3 maybe.” It was a mistake to leave those 3 alone...
*
It was now after dark, and everyone was lucky that no internals had showed up. Surprisingly Konro and Benimura were still there watching the toddler wonder around, playing hero and villain with Shinra and Princess and Knight with Arthur.
By the time you got off work, they were preparing dinner- well Hinawa was due to the overstayed guests. And due to this, you were offered to say as well.
“Mommy! Look! Look!” Suna yelled as you entered where their little office was, only for you to see Suna’s eyes go red and a piece of paper set on fire. You quickly put it out and ran over to the paper to see the damages.
“Suna, I told you that you can’t just set things on fire. It’s great that you have amazing control over your flames but,” Sighing you bent down to eye level with your daughter, “don’t do it again, okay?” Suna pouted before nodding and running off to find either Shinra, Tamaki, or Iris. You laughed as she ran off, yelling for one of the others- it seemed like just yesterday she was starting to crawl.
“It’s nice to see you again, Y/N.” You turned to see Konro, his hands folded into his kimono sleeves. You lightly smiled and looked up at the 6′2ft man.
“This is the last place I’d expect to see you, and you.” You said while looking around Konro to see Benimura behind him, his hands folded in his kimono like Konro. Benimura scoffed and looked off to the side, something he did when he didn’t want to do something or listen.
“Whoever Suna’s father is, is a very lucky man.” Konro said trying to start a conversation. “He even watched her while working.” That sentence made you laugh.
“Sorry, Konro.” You smiled at them, “I asked Akitaru, or Obi, to watch her because I go called into work suddenly.”
“What about her father?” You bit the inside of your cheek, looking away from the two. Now Benimura and Konro were looking at you.
“Not in the picture.”
“Why not?” You were shocked to hear Benimura’s voice, “What kinda of bastard doesn’t take care of his own child?”
“One that doesn’t know she even exist.” It was your turn to look away, fiddling with your thumbs before looking at them.
“Y/N, how old is Suna?” Konro asked.
“She’ll be 3 in December.”
“Do you know who the father is? Last time we saw you was when you lived in Asakusa-”
“You’re so good at fighting and destorying shit, but anything else basically goes over your head.” You laughed, crossing your arms, leaning back on one of the many desks in the office. Looking between them you knew that Konro had already figured it out and was waiting for 2 possibly things to happen.
1. he figures it out himself.
or
2. you tell him.
“Waka, when I lived in Asakusa you were the only one I was with.” He only looked at you with same emotionless expression he always wore, and for you and Konro- you knew he wasn’t getting it.
“And after I moved, I was only focused on finding a job so I could support Suna. You’re the “bastard” father that doesn’t know about his child.” Telling his was a mistake, and you knew that was the instant his eyes started to glow red. Only to have Konro push him to a clearing where he won’t destroy anything Company 8 needed.
Which just so happened to be the roof. Konro didn’t want to be in the way of Benimura’s “melt down” so he left you alone with him. Thankfully there were only a small amount of flames, ones that you could easily snuff out without much concentration.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” The air, while warm from his previous fire use, was somehow crisp. You both were sitting on the edge of the cathedral, the moon shining down on the both of you.
“Don’t know, I was an outsider taken in after my parents and siblings went infernal. I was already outcasted for being someone from the empire, and even though everyone loved you they didn’t love me. So, I guess the reason was that I was scared.”
“You didn’t think I would protect you-”
“I knew you would, but I didn’t want you to throw everything away for an outsider and their kid-”
“Our kid.”
“Mommy!” You both turned to see Suna running toward you with tired eyes and a bright smile.
“Hi, my little firecracker,” You said while picking Suna up and swaddling her. “Is something wrong?”
“Tired.” She said before snuggling into your neck, her little arms finding there way around your neck. Smiling you rubbed her back and stood up, looking down at Benimura.
“I have to go, but let’s continue this talk later.” You started to walk off, but stopped before you left the roof you turned back to him. “On my next day off, I’ll see if I can bring her to Asakusa.”

The Criminal Psychology Majors, Jason Todd x Fem!Reader Part 8/?
Word Count: 1.6k
Author’s Note: Y/N - Your Name, A/N - Any Name (Your Best Friend’s Name)
This one is shorter because of the last one’s length.
Hi everyone! By the time you see this, I will probably be out and therefore cannot update the other parts with this one’s link, so don’t worry about that if you notice it.
Warnings: Swearing, Mentions of Jason’s Trauma and his Death, Lightning, no beta bitch we die like Jason Todd
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4) (Part 5) (Part 6) (Part 7) (Part 8) (Part 9)  (Part 10) (Part 11) (Part 12) (Part 13) (Part 14) (Part 15) (Part 16) (Part 17) (Part 18) (Part 19) (Part 20)
Going on day 5 of knowing each other, Jason and Y/N would spend the day apart. Why? Because they gave each other the chance to have family time, Jason got it by playing around with his baby siblings, playing Assassin.
Fluff Head canon came from frownyalfred on Tumblr, who wrote about Jason playing Assassin with his brothers
He would go running through the halls playing the game that he and Dick knew all too well, it had been the only ‘no contact’ game they were allowed to play at a summer camp Bruce had sent them to all those years ago when they weren’t adults with a bunch of other siblings, and girlfriends. But here they were, explaining the game to their younger siblings while Alfred and Bruce hung out with Barbara, who wished she could play, but was paralyzed.
Everyone missed playing games with her like they used to, but with the video game consoles in the house they did transfer a lot of their gaming to online so they could relive memories with Barbs. It was bittersweet, and everyone remembered when she became paralyzed like it was yesterday, but she always wanted them to play games like they used to, with or without her.
Jason admired his, hopefully, one day older sister for how she treated her disability, like it was a gift, not something that impacted her everyday life and made her have to hang up the cloak of Batgirl.
But running around chasing after Dick, because of course, he got Dick, the universe wanted them to play again, was something he missed so much. They hadn’t had so much of this time, family time, ever since they all became vigilantes, and they never realized how much they missed the thrill of running around with each other.
Jason ended up getting Dick and throwing him out of the game, calling it a ‘selfless act of brotherhood so you can hang out with your girl’ and they both laughed at it. Titus, Damien’s dog, ended up barking up a storm at Jason when he killed Dick, like the big dog was rooting for Dick to win the tournament.
“Down boy! It’s a game!” Jason would whisper-yell at his dog.
“Yeah! Good boy, Titus! Get him!”
“No!” Jason would yell while running throughout the house, Titus on his heels. Passing by Alfred, Bruce and Barbara, where Titus would stop and go lay at Bruce’s feet, but Jason didn’t know that.
Jason would end up coming in just 10 minutes later, with a green slash on his neck. Tim, who had pulled Cass but killed her, Cass, who had pulled Jason. Tim now had two kills in the game and both were to people who could have easily overpowered him.
“Jase! Welcome to the land of the dead,” Dick greeted him.
“God dammnit I’ve already been here,” Jason whined in a joke.
“You and your ‘I died pity me’  jokes,” Barbara said.
“It’s called a coping mechanism, Barbs. And hi dad, Alfred,” Jason said as he waved slightly at both of them, Alfred waved back and Bruce nodded at him.
“You could just to go therapy, Jase,” Barbara said, seeming concerned for someone who she considered her baby brother. She remember when he came into the Manor, she was older than him, sure . But he had nightmares and she and Dick would switch between who would sleep at his door at night, they both had terrible backs until the nightmares calmed down. Jason never knew they did this.
It also happened when he was resurrected, but the nightmares were worse and he’d wake all sweaty and upset. There were too many nights where batkids would be in Jason’s bed with him from 12am to when Alfred would greet them in the morning. The nightmares had slowed down a lot in the past few years with the introduction of his Goddaughter into his life, but they still came by to remind him of what happened.
He didn’t talk about it much. They would always try to edge him on about about really happened, but he was stubborn. It made sense, sure, trauma is trauma. But they all wanted to help him get better. It hurt them all that he was hurting and they didn’t know how to help him get through it.
--------------------------------------------------
Y/N would sit on her bed that morning and finally finished organizing her criminal psychology and regular psychology notes when she came across her printed copy of Dr. Barry Allen’s dissertation she had studied so hard. She found it so weird that she was so close to someone who she looked up to in the field while also being so far in the same breath.
She didn't dote on it for long, she stocked it away with her forensics notes in their place. This, the relationship she had with Jason that intertwined her with so many people, was something she was getting used to by the minute, but it was never something she’d get fully used to as time goes on.
She would put on a JCS - Criminal Psychology video in the background as she worked and tried to make her journal look nicer when Jason texted her,
Good morning. He said.
Good morning :)  She said back.
I just lost a game against a 16 year old.
Huh?
My brothers and 2 of my sisters were playing Assassins with me right? Well my 16 year old brother, Tim, he ended up getting the better of me and beat me.
Oh! So you suck!
What!? No, I’m literally so cool what do you mean? He said, it clearly had sarcasm undertones to it, so Y/N wasn’t worried if she offended him with saying he sucked.
Oh yeah? Then why’d you lose?
Well, I killed Dick.
Okay so you didn’t lose, Dick lost.
It started raining a little bit, the sounds of it hitting lightly against her window, and she felt at peace. It was never hard for her to feel peace when she was by herself. She only had one roommate because she liked the silence, to be alone to collect her own thoughts in her head.
Her parents said it was because she probably had underlying mental illness that they never had the money to diagnose. She agreed. But she still didn’t have the chance to do it.
Jason and her deserved so much more than what the world have given them up to this point, so when they found each other it was, in a way, the universe saying ‘I’m sorry, you deserve this’ and with each passing day it made the pain they had both felt in their lives just a little bit more tolerable.
No, I guess Dick sucks at the game more than me.
Where’d you even get the concept for that game?
Dick and I used to play it at a Summer Camp before we got kicked out.
For playing the game?
No, for being unruly children.
You seem like you were a handful back in the day.
I was, I was the worst kid to raise, my dad has a shirt that says ‘Proud parent of a kid who is sometimes an asshole but that’s OK’ and he wears it all the time.
What a dad moment. Don’t tell my father that shirt exists, he’ll get one for my mum and himself to represent my sister and I.
Were you an unruly child as well?
I was a troublemaker. Getting into arguments with my authoritative figures about dress codes, rules, why girls couldn’t carry chairs, literally anything that was unequal, I was at their throats about it.
I mean, as you should. My older sister, Barbara, and my younger sisters, Stephanie and Cassie, they would like that about you.
I feel like in someway I’ve won over every part of your family.
The rain would get more violent as time went on. Strikes and hits of lightning would strike all around the city, hitting those gargoyles on every building, she always figured they were decorative, but A/N explained that their horns were made out of copper so people wouldn’t get struck by lightning. Bruce Wayne actually made that a thing, A/N said.
Y/N got a message from the dance competition that she signed up to, turns out, California was hit with a hurricane and most people evacuated. No one was allowed in or out. She guessed weather was being funky everywhere. It sucked, but she already was wishing she could spend time at home instead of out in the world.
A feeling she hated.
She would spend the rest of the day on and off the phone with Jason while it stormed. She would go to bed early that night.
-------------------------------------------------
Jason slipped on his vigilante uniform, the Red Hood was going to be on patrol over this night, stormy or not, it was his duty and he knew that. Did he want to go? Yes. He was killing for some action and he was going with Dick. They would probably have some ‘Bro Time’ which Jason wanted.
Even if it was silence, having Dick nearby him meant enough and gave him peace of mind.
He grabbed his guns and loaded them while packing a few extra magazines in his belt, when Dick placed a hand on his shoulder, “You have to be careful tonight, Jase,” Dick said as he gulped down tears, “Just come back to me alive if you break off from me, okay?”
“Alive but bruised,” Jason joked.
“I’m serious. I can’t lose you again and tonight is going to be massively dangerous.”
“You won’t.”

You looked at Emilia as she looked around the scrapyard, looking for her favorite person, of the week. The five year old was the spitting image of you with the personality of her father. You followed after her, the sunset making the heat of the desert that much bearable, which was why you were at the scrapyard. Going further in where the clubhouse was, Emilia spotted her favorite person, Creeper.
“Tio!” She exclaimed loudly causing the Mayan men that were outside to look over at her. They all looked at one another before they groaned when she added the name. “Cree!” Creeper was not sometbing Emilia could pronounce that well two years ago and Cree just stuck.
Creeper flipped the rest of the guys the bird before making his way over to Emilia and meeting her half way.
“Hola princesa,” he kissed her cheek, making Emilia squeal in delight.
“How am I not ever a favorite?” Angel question, a pout on his face as you greeted him with a kiss and a hug.
“Your daddy, you’re always the favorite.” You knew that was partially true. Angel was Emilia’s forever favorite, but with her Tio’s it was a rotating system.
“Not true, she favors you over me.” Angel wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head.
“For this week, she’s playing us baby. Emilia knows the game.” You watched as Emilia animatedly spoke to Creeper and Riz about the latest toys she received. “She has them wrapped around her finger.”
“She has all of us wrapped around her finger.” Angel chuckled. He kissed the top of your head one more time before walking over to join them.
“Mommy!” You heard your eldest, Xavier call for you.
You turned to face your eight year old and he ran straight to you. A chuckle escape your lips as he wrapped his arms around you, careful with your portruding belly.
“Hi baby sister.” He softly patted your belly, you smiled as you felt the baby kick. You were six months pregnant and you were ecstatic to be pregnant again. You and Angel always wanted a big family, but you knew after these two, you were done. You just haven’t told Angel you were having twins.
“How you know it’s a baby sister?” You wrapped an around around his shoulder as you both make your way to Emilia who had Angel, Creeper, Riz and Bishop all around her.
“It’s big brother instinct.” He proudly told you.
Xavier was the spitting image of Angel with a mixture of yours and his personality. The quiet, mild tempered eldest was everything you and Angel could dream of as a big brother. He dotted over Emilia and did whatever his baby sister wanted.
‘As long as she’s smiling then that’s all that matters.’
Your little man was too wise for his years, it was the reason the other members always messed with Angel that it didn’t seem like Xavier was his kid. But they just didn’t know the mature side of Angel. He was always goofy, but Angel could be as wise as Coco and Ezekiel when he wanted to be. He just decided to fit the mold that was carved for him, it made him feel unpredictable, except with you. The way you read him so well used to frustrate him, but now, he saw the benefits. It still annoyed him especially when you what to do to get him out of his funk. Sometimes he wanted to stay in his funk, but you wouldn’t let him.
‘We’re a team. Pout all you want by expect you outside in twenty minutes ready to spend the day with me and the kids. Club business is club business. In our home, we matter most. Club business stay outside.’ Then you would pause a mischievous smirk on your face whenever you two would have this talk. ‘But if you want to take out your frustrations on me in the privacy of our room, then we can do that too daddy.’
He would be a goner and this was why you were pregnant with baby #3.
You and Angel have been together for over ten years and married for four. Angel could never admit why it took so long for him to pop the question. It was the age at first, too young to marry, even though you two had Xavier two years in your relationship. Then being in danger came to play. Being almost kidnapped almost tore you two apart, but before it could become permanent, Angel snapped out of his stupor and stayed put. Emilia came then.
When she turned two, on your anniversary, Angel popped the question and the rest has been history.
“Xavi!” Emilia broke away from Creeper and went to her forever favorite, her big brother Xavier. You’re not sure how you two were so lucky that Xavier and Emilia were as close as they were, but you never questioned it. The two were inseparable and they both had such a hard time whenever Xavier had to school and two year old Emilia had to say goodbye to her older brother for a few hours.
“Mia,” he fondly wrapped his arms around her. Mia was his nickname, no one else’s, not even daddy or mommy could call her that. It was for Xavi alone.
“Xavi, I invited daddy, Tio Creep and Tio Riz to our tea party!” There was no need to invite Xavier, he was always there, no matter what. Everyone else was invited to their tea party. “Mommy, you can come too.”
“Why thank you for inviting me Emmy.” You laughed.
“What about me sweetheart? I don’t get invited?” Bishop crouched down to be Emilia’s eye level.
“Daddy said you’re too old to have a tea party with us.”
Everyone held back their laughter as Bishop looked up at Angel.
“Kids, say the silliest things.” Angel chuckled nervously as he steered Emilia away from Bishop. “I think she misunderstood, I said you have important matters to attend to prez.”
“Yeah, okay dipshit.” Bishop smacked Angel upside the head.
“Jar!” Emilia yelled out.
No one was allowed to swear around Emilia. It was a rule made since she absorbed everyone’s words.
Every. Single. One.
“How was the OB appointment?” Angel questioned, caressing your belly.
“Good, the baby is doing well.” You corrected babies in your head, but you kept it to yourself. You wanted to keep it between you and Angel, you wanted to tell him when you were all home.
“You really don’t want to find out what we’re having?” It was a hoax deal you made with Angel. You knew what you two were having, but again, you wanted to surprise him.
“Babe, don’t you like the element of surprise?” You wrapped your arms around Angel’s neck, giving him your infamous pout that Emilia inherited from you.
“Oh fuck no baby, not the pout.” Angel groaned. “Fine, happy wife, happy life.”
“I knew you would see it my way.” You kissed him, hearing your kids groan.
“Hey, when you get your first girlfriend, mama and I are gonna be groaning like that too.” Angel warned Xavier. He turned to his little princess and shook his head. “No relationship for you, girl or boy.”
“Angel!”
You were cooking dinner for the night, your house was a full house once again. Once a week, your home was basically the center location for the Mayans to have dinner. You loved hosting your second family and you knew the kids loved having their family over, especially Emilia since before dinner, they all had a tea party. It was always amusing to see some of the Mayans men gathered around her coffee table, playing with Emilia.
“You need help mommy?” Xavier broke away from the group, making sure you were good. Ever since you became pregnant, Xavier was your little shadow while Angel was your big, sometimes annoying shadow. Pregnancies were difficult for you, but Angel could be over the top. Your little man tried to give you your space as much  as he could, but whatever you needed, he got for you.
“I’m good baby boy, go back to the tea party, Emmy doesn’t like being away from you.” You advised him.
“It’s okay, daddy and the other tio’s have been occupied.”
You gave him an odd look before closing the oven door and walking over to the technically divided living room and kitchen. There on the floor all around the table was Angel, Creeper, Riz and new one Bishop, who was being taught proper tea etiquette.
Bishop ran Templo, but Emilia Marisol Reyes ran this Reyes household, followed after you of course. You could see the other members holding back their laughter as Emilia shook her head vehemently when Bishop just tried to drink from the tea cup without holding it properly.
Angel tried to mask his laughter with a cough, but Bishop shot him a look.
“Tio Ish! You’re not paying attention to me. I’m the princess and this is my royal tea party.” The pout on her lips made Bishop sigh.
“Sorry princesa, Tio is new at this.” Bishop held his hand out so that Emilia could put his hand on his. “Lo siento.”
“Okay, since you’re my favorite.” She smiled such a bright smile, Bishop felt accomplished for the day.
“Hey, wait a minute, I’m her favorite!” Creeper interjected.
“Be quiet, I’ve never been the favorite.” Bishop glared at the Mayan’s road captain who immediately zipped his mouth.
Angel looked over at you, giving you a wink. You playfully rolled your eyes and continued cooking.
“When you drink, you have to lift your pinky up like this.” Emilia proceeded to demonstrate for Bishop. “And you have to drink slowly since it’s hot.” She turned to Angel and scooted closer to Bishop. “Daddy always burns himself because he mostly pays attention to mommy when we play.” It was a failed attempt at whispering that made the men at the table laugh.
Angel excused himself from the party and let Xavier take his seat. He walked over to you, his muscular arms wrapping around you, his hands resting on your stomach.
“Hey mami,” he placed a kiss on your neck, nuzzling you.
“Hey,” you leaned your head to the side to touch his.
“You good?”
“Angel, don’t make me strangle you.” You threatened Angel at least twice a day. It didn’t matter to him since it was endearing.
“Like with my head in between your thighs?”
You laughed, playfully elbowing your husband. “See this is why I’m pregnant.”
“And? I told you, basketball team.” He turned you to face him. The smile on Angel’s face always got you in trouble, but there was no other partner in crime you would choose to get in trouble with or to be in love with.
“Unless you start popping babies, I might be all tapped out after this one.” You truly were. Twins were going to be crazy and the last thing you needed was another bundle of joy after them. You love having kids with Angel, but you had to be mindful as well.
“Come on mi amor, at least two more.”
You laughed in your head. After he finds out you’re carrying twins, he may not feel the same.
“Daddy! It’s my time, mommy is cooking! You said not to bother mommy while she cooks.” You both heard Emilia call out.
You and Angel looked at one another and laugh. He kissed you once again before placing a kiss on your stomach. He walked over to Emilia and sat beside his little princesa.
“As a new member, you must tell us your favorite person.” It was a rule Emilia made up. Anyone new who joined the tea party had to tell everyone who their favorite person was, and there was only one answer.
Emilia.
Bishop chuckled. “Of course it’s you princesa.”
The smile on Emilia’s face was priceless. As soon as Emilia came in this world, everyone knew that the Mayans men were going to be suckers for her. And they were right. Emilia was not bratty and for such a young child, knew her boundaries. She pushed it from time to time, but you and Angel always put your foot down when she did.
“You’re my favorite too! Forever and ever!”
All the men shared a look, they knew that the statement was valid, until Taza came back from visiting family.
Her one true favorite who braided her hair and gave her anything she wanted. She may have a new favorite every week, but Taza would always be the person she was drawn to.
“Mommy said that we should all wear tiara’s,” she paused for a moment and looked at you as you peaked over at them again. “Headbands as it is proper, hair wear for tea parties.”
The men looked at you and you held your hands up. “Head wear baby. And don’t look at me, we’ve seen several tea parties and a majority of them the guest wear head wear. It’s fancy after all and, Emilia is your princesa.”
“Baby, some tea parties don’t have it. You don’t want to mess Tio Riz’s beautiful hair.” Angel pointed out.
Emilia turned to Riz, those puppy dog eyes of hers immediately encapturing him.
“Anything for you,” Riz put on the the tiara that she referred to as head wear.
The men followed suit and the tea party continued. Dinner went off without a hitch and now, you were leaning against the headboard with Angel massaging your aching feet.
“Baby, you’re so good at this.” You threw your head back, loving the feel of Angel’s fingers against your feet.
“Sometimes, I feel like you married me because I got the magic fingers.” The mischievous smirk on his face hinted that his meaning was anything but innocent. “My fingers always got you moaning.”
“You’re too much at times.” You laughed, throwing a pillow at him.
Angel easily dodged it and joined in with your laughter.
“Thank you.”
You looked down at Angel and raised an eyebrow at his thankfulness. “For what?”
“For our family, for accepting my family.” Angel always wondered why you decided to stick by him.
“What? Of course. Angel, we’ve been together for so long. I know why you tried to push me away, but you’re lucky I’m sure a wonderful and forgiving woman.” You blew him a kiss and he smiled.
“I’m lucky to have you mi corazon. You’re the love of my life.” The way his eyes softened as he looked up at you, you returned his gaze with the same softness.
“You’re the love of my life too.”
Angel crawled over to you, kissing you. He was on his side, your face turned towards him. His hand was on your belly as it always was when you were pregnant. Angel loved it when you were pregnant. Knowing you two created something together, it always made his heart swell.
He was a man who never thought he deserved anything, but everytime he looked at you and your two kids, he knew that this was made for him, he was where he was supposed to be. He may be a bastard, but God was forgiving.
“Did you really not find out what we’re having?” Angel found it peculiar since you didn’t want to be surprised. You wanted to know so you could plan. And he went with whatever you wanted.
You hit your lip and placed your hands on top of his that we’re resting on your belly.
“We’re having a boy.” The smile that spread across his face was just priceless. You loved seeing Angel’s smile, you always made it your mission to keep that smile on his face. “And a girl.”
“Another boy, guess we’re out numbering you. Wait we’re tied cause we’re having a girl.” Your words finally sunk in and he looked at you with the most confused face. “Bring that back one more time. We’re having a boy and a girl?”
You’re eyes welled up as you nodded your head. The disbelief, yet the happiness on Angel’s face was unmistakenable.
“Baby, holy fuck.” He looked down at your six month only belly. “Twins? Fuck, my Olympic swimmers are champions.”
“Angel! You’re such a dork.” You wiped the few tears that came down, you blamed hormones but Angel always said you cried easily.
“Don’t lie baby, all of our children was like one shot done.” His ego impressed you, but also annoyed you. But you also loved this big goof. “Baby, twins, fuck. And you want to stop after them?”
“Let’s give it a few years, let’s revisit.” You kissed the tip of his nose.
“Emilia was with you, I’m surprised she didn’t shout it out.” Angel then began to worry. Emilia was used to being the only girl. He didn’t want his baby girl to feel replaced, just like how he felt with EZ. “Shit, what if Emmy doesn’t want a baby sister?”
“Doesn’t want a baby sister? She’s already planning their shared room. Emilia is going to be a great big sister, just like Xavier is such a good big brother. You want to know why?”
Angel looked at you, waiting for your answer.
“Cause they see how much their daddy loves their Tio EZ. They loved seeing you two together and I do as well.”
Angel began to tear up then, burying his face at the crook of your neck. Emilia already had the MC at the palm of her hands, another girl? It was going to be a sweet disaster for the MC.
You couldn’t even think of what would happen once Emilia and your unborn baby girl was going to bring home boyfriends, when tea parties would no longer be their go to but actually parties.
“Shit, more tea parties.” Angel broke you away from your thoughts.
You laughed. “Shut up, you know you secretly love them.”
And he did. Angel wanted to cherish the moments the Emilia still wanted to be a daddy’s girl. He wanted to cherish the moments where it was still cool to hang out with daddy. He knew eventually that won’t be the case, but he tried not to think of that.
“Can we have a baby every few years, just so we can always have a full house?”
“Again, unless you’re popping them, that’s a no for me.”
If you were being honest, Angel would eventually get you to agree. You wanted a big family and honestly, with the support you had, there was nothing wrong with having a big family.
More tea party guests.

Chicago fire imagine Herrmann + Daughter reader imagine for - @jayxuptons
Tumblr media
Laying in a hospital bed is not the way I thought I'd be spending my Friday evening, but hey, that's the life of a firefighter right? Growing up with a fire fighter for a father I knew the dangers that I was going to be up against, the fire, the smoke, half collapsed buildings and heights that would make most peoples heads spin. But being stabbed in the leg by a freaking out meth addict was not even on the top 100 things I was worried about.
I sighed as I rolled my head to the side to see the clock on the wall, hissing as I jolted my leg slightly, a groan leaving my mouth as I realised the doctors had left about 10 minutes ago, which meant that any second now the storm was about to rip its way into my room. Closing my eyes I took a deep breath and replayed the afternoons events in my head.
"Y/N, Otis, you take the basement, Kidd, Mouch, take the ground floor, Herrmann, you're with me up top." Casey began yelling as soon as we pulled up outside of the burning house, a young woman and a small boy sitting over by Ambo staring up at what I'm assuming was their home.
"Any idea what happened cap?" I asked as I followed Casey and the rest towards the smoke spilling door.
"Mum said the place just went up in flames, the dads still in there but she doesn't know where, keep your eyes peeled." He nodded towards me, sending him a quick nod back before we entered the building and went our separate ways.
Carefully feeling our way around through the smoke me and Otis made our way down to the basement, the smoke thickening the further we descended into the dark space.
"Fire department! Call out!" Otis yelled as he led the way, his flashlight only finding dust covered boxes and a plastic Christmas tree sitting in the corner.
"Fire department! Anyone down here?" I yelled, listening to the sounds of the fire crackling above before a small scuffle caught my attention. "Hello? Call out if you can here me!"
Following the sound I slowly rounded a desk that was sat against the wall, I half expected to find some kind of wild animal, a raccoon or a squirrel, what I was not expecting was the burning pain that erupted in my thigh and the knife that was lodged in place.
"Otis!" I screamed as the guy who was hiding behind the desk jumped up pushing me out of the way, causing me to fall to the side smacking my head against the corner of the desk before I landed on the floor with a thud, surrounded by darkness.
By the time I had managed to open my eyes again I was lying in a hospital bed with Jay and Will Halstead by my side. Jay had explained that the guy in the basement was actually the father to the small boy I saw waiting outside when we first arrived at the scene, he'd been using for a few months and the mum was planning on leaving which is why he had set fire to the place, but Otis had caught him and called for backup as soon as he had heard me yell. Leaving Will to explain that other than a scar, an aching leg and a banging headache I would be just fine and ready to return to work in a few weeks.
"Where is she?!" I heard him before I saw him, his voice floating through the ED, the once loud talking of people in the hallway dwindling down to nothing but a murmur.
"Herrmann, calm down, she's fine." I could hear Casey, his voice growing in volume as I assumed they came towards the door.
"Don't tell me to calm down when my daughter is lying in hospital!" His voice louder now as him and Casey came into view through the glass doors.
Leaving Casey with one last hard look he turned and came into the room closing the door behind himself.
"Hi dad." I smiled small, waiting to see a change in his face to reveal just how pissed he was about it all.
"Don't 'hi dad' me." He muttered, shaking his head slightly before flopping down in the chair besides the bed.
"Dad I-"
"No! Do you have any idea how scared I was when I heard Otis through the radio? When I heard that you were stabbed and there was nothing I could do about it?" He said, voice deep and eyes hard like they used to be when I'd done something stupid as a teenager.
"I know but-"
"No! You don't know! You don't know what it's like to have to sit and wait to be told whether or not your daughter is gunna survive after being stabbed by some jacked up asshole?!" He was almost yelling now, little bits of spot flying from his mouth as he tried to keep his temper in check.
"But I do know dad! I know what it's like to be the one sat in the waiting room, waiting to know whether my dad was gunna be coming home at the end of the day! Sitting next to mum, holding her while she cries about how she doesn't know how she'll be able to keep the family going without you! I've sat there hundreds of times with my mind running round in circles because I don't know what the outcome will be!" I started to yell, my voice falling with every word as tears started to slip down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry, I uh, I didn't think about all the times the table was turned." He sighed sadly, reaching out and taking my hand in his.
"I'm sorry too, I didn't mean to scare you, I mean, I didn't even see the guy till after the knife was in my leg." I breathed a laugh, trying to ease some of the tension.
"Not funny." He deadpanned before a small smile appeared on his face. " I'm sorry I yelled, I was just so scared when I heard what had happened." He said softly, squeezing my hand slightly.
"I'm sorry that I scared you." I offered a small smile.
"I'll let you get some rest, I've gotta call your mum and keep the house updated, Otis has been blaming himself since it happened." He chuckled slightly, liking how his work family had accepted his daughter as one of their own, although they'd already known her for years before hand.
"Tell mum I'm fine and I love her, and let Otis know that it wasn't his fault, but next time he can go investigate the noises." I smirked with a giggle as dad narrowed his eyes at me.
"Yeah, yeah." He shook his head as he stood up placing a small kiss on my forehead before he made his way towards the door, stopping with his hand on the handle. "I love you kid." He smiled softly.
"I love you too dad." I smiled back, watching as he gave me one last smile before leaving.
Turns out the storm I was expecting was nothing more than a bit of rain and whole bunch of sunshine.
-----
I hope you enjoy! I had no idea where I was going with this and wrote this out all in one as the ideas came to me!

Y/n's POV
"What the hell hyung-" Jungkook hissed at the older.
Taehyung rose up, moving to stand aside as the younger replaced his previous spot kneeling down beside you.
"What happened?? Why is y/n in here like this??" The males brows knitted together as he rolled up the sleeves of his dark grey sweater, reaching down to pull the drain emptying the tub.
You were weak, you could still feel a slight dizziness in your head, and your cheeks were flushed.
The white cream colored baggy long sleeve you wore stuck clinging to your body, your black shorts dripped with excess water that had soaked into the now heavy material.
Surely you couldn't tell either of them or anyone else what had really happened just yet- you wouldn't even know how to explain it yourself.
Sighing at the continued silence that followed after his questioning, Jungkook then lifted you into his strong arms with ease, holding you only for a moment before he grabbed a towel to dry you off.
"Well?"
Hearing the tone in Jungkook's voice, you couldn't help but feel a little worried since he was the overly jealous type.
And after all, you and Tae probably looked a little too close for comfort without a proper explanation in his eyes..
"She was overheating- and her head was in pain so I had to cool her down"
Tae spoke smoothly, tucking his hands into the pockets of his slightly oversized pale-tan khaki pants.
"Why didn't you call for me. I could've helped her" Jungkook said lowly, earning a slight eye roll from the older.
Sensing the tension, you let your hand cup Jungkook's cheek to make him face you. "I said not to- I didn't want to worry you.."
You felt bad having to lie, but you would've felt worse if your current state had caused any more friction between the two older males.
After all, Taehyung was one of Jungkook's closest hyungs-
Feeling your touch seemed to put the worried male at ease as he gave a slight smile your way, to which you returned.
Taehyung cleared his throat with a hum, running a hand through his hair as he let himself slowly back out of the bathroom.
"You should get her changed into something comfy, maybe one of my silk shirts, she does love rolling around in them" he chuckled with a slight smirk before disappearing out of the room.
Your eyes widened slightly and you already felt the familiar heat rise to face.
'Aish Taehyung..'
"Oh really?"
You glanced back to Jungkook, feeling his arms that held you somehow pull you in closer against his firm warm chest.
"I- That was when I was a kitten of course-" you laughed nervously trying to avoid any further talk on the matter.
"Well, you're still my kitten"
Yoongi's POV
"Hyung are you sure this is the place?" I looked to Jin as he stepped out of the passenger side of my car.
We had to drive nearly to Incheon to get here, we were basically at the western edge of Seoul.
"Yoongi, I may be old but I'm pretty sure I know where I got my car towed" Jin retorted as he stepped out shortly after me.
Locking the vehicle, I put my keys into my coat pocket and stepped forward looking up at the small, worn out building.
"G.E.- "
Huh, their signs missing a letter- this place looks like it hasn't had any business in years-
"This doesn't look like a place were they keep towed cars"
The other let out a sigh, once again taking out the small crumpled piece of paper to show me.
"Yah, I'm aware of that, but this is the address on the receipt they gave me so wether it 'looks' like a place where they keep cars or not this better be where my car is" Jin huffed shoving the paper that he had previously been waving in my face back into his pocket.
I knew I should've let Jimin drive him here instead of me-
Without any further complaints, I followed the older up the short flight of steps and walked inside the establishment.
It was cold inside, slightly dim but the flickering of a single light on the ceiling provided some light.
At least the sun was still up by the time we got here, already I got the sense I definitely wouldn't wanna be in this place at night-
The interior was painted a dull white that probably only became dull with age, along with matching marble tiled floors.
Potted plants were neatly placed at each corner of what appeared to be a waiting area, with only two black leather furnished chairs against the right side wall from the entrance.
"I guess we just wait here-" I spoke taking a seat as Jin gave me a glance after he himself finished eyeing around the room.
"Wait hell, I want my car and I'm not waiting in this creepy room for longer than I need to-"
"Ah, you're finally here. And you've brought a friend excellent"
The both of us looked forward to the front of the room where a large desk counter was placed, watching as a slightly smiling man stepped out from the door behind it.
"Hyung you know this guy?" I mumbled under my breath, getting up from my seat as I kept my eyes on the stranger as he headed towards us.
"No-" Jin replied quickly tugging on my coat sleeve, as if to help me get up quicker.
The man looked older than us, his hair was black and appeared to be gelled, no grey hairs so maybe in his late thirties or early forties.
Oddly he was dressed nice, despite his outfit being all black.
He wore a dark black dress shirt, black pants, and some nice matching leather shoes of which I'm sure were from an expensive name brand.
One wouldn't get the impression this guy worked at a place that handles cars- more of an office type place.
"Kim Seokjin I presume? You're car is out all ready to go, and you are?"
I narrowed my eyes and looked down at the mans hand that extended to me, finally deciding to reach out, I gave it a shake.
"I'm with him" I responded vaguely before clearing my throat.
"And you are?" I repeated the mans words to him causing him to chuckle.
"Hanseong"
It sounds familiar but I couldn't imagine anyone else having that name.
"My father was into historical figures so I'm sure if you know anything about the Joseon dynasty you'll understand its meaning" he responded after seeming to notice my thinking.
He sounded almost prideful.
Guess I'll have to do some digging on that with Jungkook later.
"If you don't mind, we've got a bit of a drive back so, my car?" Jin bowed his head respectfully and took out his wallet.
"Oh there won't be any need for that it's already taken care of" Hanseong waved his hand as he started walking right towards the way we entered.
"But-"
Quickly, I smacked Jin in the chest with the back of my hand, causing him to stare at me with his eyes wide and mouth agape as if he was about to snap.
"If this weirdo says you don't have to pay then you DON'T HAVE TO PAY" I  whisper yelled raising my brows at the other before I followed behind the stranger.
As we all exited, there was Jin's car, parked perfectly right beside mine.
I looked over at Hanseong, who stood outside the doors of the building watching as Jin inspected his car, who then nodded at me signalling everything was alright.
"Everything in order Mr. Kim?" The older man questioned tucking his hands into his pants pockets.
He nodded getting into his car and closing the door.
"Yes- thank you- you were very quick and professional, I'll be sure to give you 10 stars on yelp" Jin chuckled nervously to which I just rolled my eyes.
Following Jin, I got into my own car and gave him an annoyed glance as I started the engine after he did.
Raising my head, I looked one last time to the smiling older male through my windshield before he spoke.
"Sounds good, have a safe drive back. Mr. Kim, Mr. Min."
He waved turning on his heel only to disappear into the building as we pulled out of the buildings driveway, and began to head back home.
As I drove following shortly behind Jin, it took me maybe thirty minutes after going through all that had happened for me to realize.
The last thing Hanseong actually said.
"Mr. Min"
I never told him my name.
A/n: Please excuse my late update, they will be that way for awhile due to health reasons, I was supposed post this back in September but unfortunately I had to go to the hospital. Please be assured I'm recovering and it's hopefully nothing too serious. As always I hope you enjoyed~

Chapter 11: Voulez-Vous pt. 2
Annie can not believe what she was seeing.
One minute, she was sneaking away to the bar despite the awkward interaction with Erwin earlier. The next minute, Hitch (no surprise) drags Annie to the courtyard. Now here she is, watching Niccolo's bachelor party looking at Sasha's bachelorette party like prey while said party screams their butt off.
She really needs a drink after this.
Annie watches as the girl's screams increases as the males swing down to the courtyard. She watches Mina and Hitch magically make their way to their respective partners based on their squeals and jumps of excitement.
She watches her friends pair up, unaware of the male landing behind her. She feels someone tap her shoulder and her instincts kicked in.
Annie immediately turns and kicks the male's side hard, causing him to fall to the ground.
She moves in a defensive stance, ready to strike again when the male removes his mask—Annie gasps in shock.
"Armin?!"
"Hey, Annie," he replies weakly and groans with pain.
She leans forward to pick up her boyfriend off the ground. "I am so sorry, Armin! I did not know." she apologizes and blushes with embarrassment.
Armin laughs and waves her off. His face winces slightly. "Hey, it's ok, Annie. It's my fault for surprising you like that."
He extends an arm out for her to take. "You can pay me back by dancing with me."
Annie smiles, forgetting her initial plan to let loose and have fun. "Of course."
---
Mikasa stares at the male in front of her. She is too focused on paying attention to her friends pairing up and beginning to dance around her. She knew who he was even before he took off the mask covering his emerald green eyes.
She runs into his open arms.
"Eren!" She says gleefully as she jumps into his hug.
Eren chuckles and spins her around, careful enough to not have Mikasa accidentally hit anyone nearby.
"Mikasa!" He sets her down and looks down at her with admiration.
"What are you doing here?" she asks with shock. First, Sasha's dads appear and now Niccolo's bachelor party! Today is just full of surprises.
Eren laughs at the look on Mikasa's face. He admires her surprised look and everything about her. Of course, Eren had a crush on Mikasa ever since they first met.
She is so cute
"Well, this was all Niccolo's idea. Everyone else joined in to prank the girls, but I wanted to see you again." He confesses bashfully and rubs the back of his neck in embarrassment.
Mikasa grins at Eren's bashfulness.
He is so cute
"I'm glad to see you, too."
This causes Eren to blush and look away from Mikasa's eyes. It was then when he realizes what he needs to do next. He extends his arm out to Mikasa and bows slightly.
"Do you want to dance, my lady?" he grins boyishly and with a terrible British accent.
Mikasa laughs and places one hand on top of his. "With pleasure."
Eren grins as he leads Mikasa to the dancefloor.
---
"Rico is not here at the moment. Sorry about that lover boy, you're stuck with me." Hanami glances around the dancefloor in search of Rico. She should have been out now, so Jean can dance with her.
"Hey, it's ok." Jean smiles and takes off his mask. It's a good thing Hanami didn't freak out and recognized him immediately. It was probably from his facial hair.
(It was actually from their height difference)
"Let's dance for a bit, ok?"
Hanami smiles. "Ok."
She starts by twirling first, followed by Jean. They both place one hand on the other's shoulders and the other on the other's waist. Both of them move their hips to the beat.
"You're not as stiff as before. You have improved." Jean compliments Hanami's dancing.
She chuckles and winks at him. "That's because I had a good teacher."
They continue dancing until Hanami notices Hange and her friends enter the scene. She excitedly grabs Jean's shoulders, causing the both of them to stop dancing. She points to where Rico was.
"Jean, look!. Rico is here! Now is your chance to go speak to her!" she says with excitement in her eyes and starts pushing him in Rico's direction.
However, Jean did not share the same sentiment. He does not move and looks at her worryingly instead.
"What about you?"
Hanami stops and frowns a bit. "What about me? I appreciate your worry but worry about yourself right now. Your plan is almost done, Jean!"
She searches his face to see if he was convinced. He is not.
She sighs. "Look, I got this under control. Go and have some fun with Rico." She places a hand on his shoulder reassuringly and looks into his golden-brown eyes.
"I'll be fine. I already talked to Colt earlier, so I'll have a dance partner."
Jean sighs, finally giving in. "Ok. I trust you, Hanami." Hanami chuchles in relief.
"Thank you. Now go have some fun." Hanami grins, and Jean smiles as well.
He leaves Hanami to go search for Rico. It is part of the plan, after all. He only turns around once to find Hanami getting swept away Colt and back to the dancefloor.
---
Rico watches everyone while Hange and Nanaba go their separate ways. She watches like a hawk watching its prey. She is searching for one man ever since the big revelation from Hange.
Her eyes scan for Erwin since she last saw him in the crowd. Her eyes widen when she spots his disheveled blonde hair and the woman laughing next to him.
Does she know who she is sitting with?
Does she not recognize him?
Rico laughs to herself and crosses her arms across her chest. Of course, Marie does not notice who Erwin is. The Marie she knew back in university would go guy hunting with Rico, but it seems she grew out of it now. She does not keep up with the "Most Handsomest" magazines anymore.
She smiles at Erwin and Marie's interactions. She is happy for her, really. Although, Rico wants to talk to Erwin at least once during this trip.
"Ahem."
Rico turns to the source to find the same male from earlier at the bar. Ah, it's Jean.
"Hey," he says nervously.
"Hey to you too," Rico smirks and uncrosses her arms.
Jean shuffles nervously in his spot, causing Rico to laugh. She places one hand on her hip.
"Are you inviting me to dance with you?" she points her nose to the courtyard where everyone is dancing.
Jean rubs the nape of his neck and nods his head. He then extends a hand out for Rico to take.
"Yeah, so do you want to?"
Rico smiles. She will let Jean entertain her for a bit.
"Of course."
She takes Jean's hand and lets him lead her back to the dancefloor. The two get into position and begin moving to the beat.
"You're an excellent dancer, Jean," Rico compliments after he twirls her.
Jean chuckles. "Learning and teaching dance can do a thing or two for someone."
Little did Jean know about the two pairs of eyes; briefly look at him in shock as he laughs with Rico. The two did not notice a third pair watching the other two with suspicion on her face.
---
Nanaba excitedly leaves Hange's side in search of one man, Mike. She knows Rico would scold her for even looking for him. She just wanted to catch up with him.
Yeah, catch up.
Mike is Nanaba's first love. It was more than love at first sight or the face that Mike owned a yacht. She fell for his personality, charm, and his quirks. He was the ideal man in Nanaba’s eyes. She never told him her feelings since her eyes were focused on Hange. She's not mad about that, though.
Luckily for her, it does not take her long to find him. He was heading in her direction (Hange is a few feet behind her).
"Mike!" she calls out and waves her arm to get his attention. It breaks Mike out of whatever he was in earlier to look at Nanaba. His eyes widen with recognition as he walks up to her.
"Nanaba. I didn't expect to run into you." He chuckles. He notes how she still smells the same as before.
Nanaba laughs and looks up at Mike.
"I see you're still tall as always." Her eyes scan the rest of Mike's body. His clothes looked slightly wrinkled compared to when she saw him earlier.
"Did you get jumped while I was away?" she teases him and places her hands on her hips. She leans forward a bit to examine him.
"More or less." Mike and Nanaba laugh.
Both of them turn to the crowd where everyone dances. Mike turns to Nanaba and notices how she watches the group with a longing look. He extends a hand out to her.
"Do you want to dance? Miss Best Selling Author?" he smirks, and Nanaba looks at him with shock.
"I didn't know you knew about that," she blushes and places a hand on top of his waiting one.
"Of course I know. You’re pretty famous and your books always sell out before I can get my hands on a copy." He and Nanaba get into position and begin dancing with everyone else.
"I'm proud of you." he quietly adds for only Nanaba to hear. Everyone else is too busy dancing to even listen to what Mike said.
Nanaba swears that moment was the moment where she could not stop blushing. She also prays that Mike could not hear her heart pounding in her chest.
---
"Sasha!" Everyone yells as Sasha faints from all the pressure.
Hange pushes the nearest person away and runs towards her daughter. Luckily for her, Niccolo was fast enough to catch Sasha before she hurt herself. Hange sighs in relief, but she still had a frantic look on her face.
"Everyone, make some space," she calls and turns to Niccolo.
"Niccolo, check to see if Sasha is breathing or look for a pulse."
She turns to Sasha's friend's nearby and points to the males first.
"You, prepare Sasha's room and get a lot of water and some food for her. Niccolo, you go with them too."
Niccolo nods and sets Sasha down with Historia, who sat next to him. He follows the rest of the group back into the hotel.
She points to the females next. "You all can reposition Sasha and check on her breathing to make sure she is ok. You do know what to do, right?"
The girls nod in understanding.
"Good."
The girls run off to do their duties. Hange stands up and turns to the crowd, who was watching in silence.
"The party is officially over. I want everyone to go back home and rest for the big day tomorrow."
She turns to Rico and Nanaba, who is standing nearby. "Go escort everyone out of the hotel safely."
Rico and Nanaba nod along and head off to their respective station.
Hange turns to her ex-lovers with an angry face. The aura around her changed from tense to cold. She points to them, causing the men to flinch.
"I want to talk to you three. Alone," Hange says in a calm but chilling tone. The men shiver in fear.
She walks away from the trio and starts heading out to a private area. Hange stops and turns around when she notices that the men were not following her.
"C'mon. I don't have all day."
She gestures for them to move, and so they did. Mike gulps in fear. Levi sighs and guides Erwin along. He has experienced Hange's anger before, and Erwin is too drunk to make any comments.
The group walks away from the crowd, unaware of the pair of eyes watching them worryingly.
---
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING" Hange yells, shocking Erwin and Mike. Hange had stopped walking once they were far away from the party. She let out her anger the moment she decided she walked far enough.
"Could you three not tell that my daughter was stressed. I don't know your goal, but stop being selfish and open your eyes for once! She was fine before you three decided to show up!"
Hange huffs from her yelling, and a moment of silence pass between all of them. The trio was too intimidated by Hange to say a word. She begins pacing around and running her fingers through her hair, making her hair even messier than before.
Erwin, being a brave soul, decides to speak up first.
"Hange, We're sorry for-"
Hange's head shoots up and glares at Erwin. Levi notices the stress and the tears threatening to fall down on her face. Levi steps in and grabs Erwin's shoulder before Hange decides to yell at them again.
"Erwin. I think it is time for us to take our leave."
Erwin and Mike look at Levi with astonishment. Why is Levi trying to stop them? Meanwhile, Hange taps her foot anxiously, waiting for Levi's response.
"But Levi. We should at least apologize to her."
Levi nods in agreement. "I agree, but trust me. Hange is in distress right now, and we should not be selfish. Besides-"
He points to Moblit, standing off to the side watching the scene. Moblit flinches from Levi, noticing him, and he moves his stance to show that he is ready to intervene.
"Hange is in good hands."
Erwin moves his mouth to argue but stops after seeing the look in Levi's eyes. Levi looks down at the ground with sadness and defeat. Erwin understands what Levi was dealing with.
"Ok." he nods. "Let's go."
Erwin and Mike begin heading back to the yacht, with Levi following a few feet behind. His head was down, and his bangs cover his eyes. Yet, Erwin and Mike make no move to ask. They both understood with one look.
Moblit immediately jumps in and checks up on Hange, asking if she is ok or needs anything. Hange nods and begins heading back to the hotel.
Levi stops and turns to watch Hange's figure get smaller and smaller, his heart aching from sadness, guilt, and defeat.
---
Erwin, Mike, and Levi walk back to the yacht in silence. They were almost at the dock but stop when they hear the sound of footsteps running their way.
"Erwin! Stop!"
Erwin knew that voice from anywhere. "Marie?"
Levi and Mike stop and look at Erwin in shock.
"You know her?" Mike asks.
Erwin nods, his shock never leaving his eyes.
"We met at the party." He says. His eyes never leaving Marie's figure, getting closer to them every second.
Marie stops running once she is in front of the trio. She stops to catch her breath before speaking.
"I saw you all leaving with Hange. You don't have to tell me what happened, but I want you three to listen to me."
The three nod their heads, and Marie smiles. Suddenly, her happy demeanor changes to a stern one.
"I don't know what you guys did to make Hange mad, but you guys better not think about leaving this island with your tails tucked between your legs."
She walks up to Erwin and looks at him deep in his blue eyes.
"Apologize to Hange, separately." She jabs a finger on Erwin's chest
"If she ends up the same way as Sasha earlier-"
She brings her finger in front of one side of her neck and quickly moves it to the other side as if she is cutting something: the trio, especially Erwin, shivers in fear.
"I will not hesitate to make your trips end terribly. Do you understand?"
The trio nod in agreement, and Marie smiles. She stands up straight and sighs in relief.
"Anyways, I am parched from all of this running. Can I get some water before I head back to my hotel room?"
Mike and Levi look at her in shock. To them, Marie was like a rollercoaster. She started off sweet, then went to threatening them, and now she is back to being sweet. They look up at Erwin to see if they share the same opinion. Apparently, Erwin did not. He looks at Marie like she is Aphrodite herself.
Erwin clears his throat and gains back his composure.
"Of course. We have some on the yacht. I can also walk you back to your hotel room after." Erwin smiles at Marie with his charm that impresses both Mike and Levi. Erwin extends a hand out for her to take.
"I can take you there now."
Marie looks at Erwin's hand and then back at Erwin. She smiles and nods in agreement.
"I would like that," she says as she grabs his hand. Erwin leads her back to the yacht, and Levi can swear she can see a pink cloud forming around their bodies.
Mike chuckles at the potential new couple walking away. Levi watches them leave while silently wishing it was him and Hange in their place.
"Look at Erwin growing up. Earlier this morning, he was hesitant to take risks, and now look at him. He is now becoming more spontaneous every hour."
Mike grins like a proud dad and turns to Levi. He notices an imaginary storm cloud forming on the tip of Levi's head. An idea forms in his head, and he elbows Levi.
"How much do you want to bet that Erwin is getting laid tonight?"
Levi looks up at Mike with disgust. "Get your mind out of the gutter, Mike. Let's call it a night before I have to clean you as well."
Levi begins walking back, and Mike laughs instead. "You never answered my question, Levi. Do you want to put in 100? 500? 1000?"
Mike continues to list numbers while Levi continues his trek back to the yacht. The couple is now long gone to hear Mike's antics. In reality, Levi is ready to jump or push Mike into the sea. Either one works for him. At least it slightly suppressed his depression from earlier.
Yet, Levi can still hear Hange's words and see Sasha fall replay over and over in his head.

©: This is where I insert all rights reserved stuff. This story belongs to me. Do not modify or republish. Hanami is my OC and she belongs to me.
I originally intended for Nanaba to stop the trio, but it would not make sense so I switched her for Marie.
I added the Annie part to give a realistic POV of what would happen if some guys randomly crashed a party.
The plot will move quicker next chapter! We will even get to see Pieck and Porco!

Falling For You (Spencer Reid x Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Reader
Word Count: 3,901
Warnings: fluff, angst, cussing, suicidal thoughts, kissing
Author’s Note: I’m so excited to be starting another series, especially one with Spencer. I apologize for this one being so long, but I just couldn’t find a place to break it up. I’m going to try and update every couple of days!
***
“What do you think it’ll be like when we’re in love with someone when we’re older?” you asked your best friend as the two of you lay in the bunker, smoking a joint. You were only 12 at the time but at that moment, you felt as nothing in the world could bother you. You felt content and at ease with your best friend by your side.
You heard her giggle and felt her nudge you to hand the joint back over. “Well Y/N/N, I bet it’s going to feel amazing and nothing like we have felt before,” she spoke quietly, looking over at you with a look in her eyes you’ve never seen before.
“What are you thinking about Kitty? You look like you’re going to eat my face,” you laughed but before you could say anything else, you felt her lips on yours. It was a surprise for you and stopped her immediately.
She looked at you with hurt in her eyes and anger. You’ve known the things she has been through, you looked down at the bruises on her arms. She only told you about the way her Dad hurt her and you felt awful rejecting her. “I’m sorry Y/N/N…” she trailed off for a moment but then continued, “I’m so sick of being rejected though, Y/N/N, by men. And hurt by them. They’re fucking pigs.” She began to sob through her words.
You pulled her into you, hugging her and stroking her short brown hair. “I’m so sorry Cat, I wish there was something I could do. I will always be there for you.”
***
That was years ago. You were now in your late twenties and still living in the same town that you guys lived in, but one day, Cat was taken from her father who finally got sent to jail for the abuse and other charges. She was then put with an adoptive family, which seemed to be good at first and the two of you sent letters back and forth for a while. They slowly stopped, receiving and sending less and less, until one day she sent me a letter stating that she was going away for a while, that she killed her adoptive father because he was doing the same thing to her as her biological dad. That was the last letter you ever received from her. You tried to search for your friend throughout the years without any avail. Until one day you saw her on the news.
You were surprised, but not entirely, especially with what she revealed in the letters and the way she acted when you were kids. There were things that Cat did and acted as a child and teen that really threw you for a loop, but you just chalked it up to her abuse at home. Now, as a licensed professional, you knew differently. Trauma has a significant effect on the brain and a child’s psyche. Many individuals who are children do “bounce back,” what is called resiliency, but there are others who unfortunately continue to struggle and develop further mental illnesses.
You looked at the TV screened again, focusing on Cat’s face. It broke your heart, even though you heard of what she did. You felt that guy feeling that you needed to see her one last time. No one should ever really be alone, even though she is a prolific serial killer.
***
You had gone to see her and it was just about what you expected, but a little worse. She was quiet, she looked disheveled, she was more cunning, more manipulative than she used to be. The only thing that was the same was the moment she saw you, there was that look in her eye. It was the same one that she had the night she had kissed you all those years ago.
“I’ll always be there for you Kitty. You know that,” you walked over and kissed her head before you got yelled at by a guard and left.
***
When you got to your apartment, you didn’t realize how emotionally taxing that experience was for you until you felt like you were going to pass out, throw up, and didn’t even hear Walter, your German Short-Haired Pointer dog barking at you.
“Calm down buddy. I know, it’s been a rough day being a dog, huh?” you smiled patting his head.
You knew you had to get yourself in check before it totally consumed you. After you lost Cat as a teenager, you had a really difficult time with your best friend gone. You were depressed, anxious, and couldn’t handle her being gone. There had been nights where you felt as if you had lost a piece of yourself. You loved her, but not in the way that Cat seemed to feel about you.Eventually, you got into therapy yourself and one coping skill you learned to help yourself, was running.
“You want to go for a run boy?” The dog started barking like crazy, running around in circles, grabbing his toys, throwing them in the air. You couldn’t help but laugh at his antics as you changed into your running clothes and shoes.
“Alright Walter, let’s go buddy!”
When you got to the park you and Walter kept at steady pace as the audiobook in your ear played. You were listening to a crime series that had captured your attention from Denmark, but translated in English. You looked around and noticed a tall, lanky, but good looking man sitting down at a bench, you nodded at him as you were about to pass him, but the next thing you know, you lost your footing, and Walter was chasing after a squirrel.
Spencer’s POV
He had been out of jail for a few days, not even, and he had to take time off. Yet, he couldn’t get out of his mind that his mother was kidnapped and that he couldn’t do a damn thing about it. And it was all because of Cat Adams. She was a main center piece for his rage.
Emily Prentiss, his boss and colleague, told him as much as she wanted to have him on the case, he was too close. She also made sure that the last 3 days he had been receiving therapy services to help him cope with everything. One thing the therapist made him realize is that he doesn’t have any friends outside of work, which he was mostly okay with, but that he also hasn’t had a conversation that wasn’t entirely work related as well.
With that said, he decided that he would go to the park and try to “free” his mind, as the therapist said. Anyone that had known Spencer, knew that “freeing” his mind was nearly impossible. The man was a genius with an IQ of 187 and could read 20,000 words per minute. Not your average man. Spencer instead did what he does best, watch people. He’s always found it comforting and relaxing. He immediately noticed a woman and her dog jogging, she had nodded her head at him, and he waved to her. He noticed quickly how pretty she was and seemed to be enjoying herself, but also on alert as she ran.
Almost as soon as he turned his head, he saw her fall straight in front of him as her dog ran off after a squirrel. He ran right over to the woman to help her.

Reader’s POV
“Shit!” you yelled out. “Walter get back here!” you screamed again. Reaching down to your bloodied leg and knee, and then your ankle that throbbed. When you looked up, the man that you had noticed moments prior came over to you in a hurry.
“Are you okay?” He asked with concern in his voice. You noticed how his curly, brown hair hung over his face and how his golden brown eyes had stared down at you with worry.
“Yeah…” you trailed off, wincing at your ankle when you touched it. “I just need to get my dog. So much for being loyal.”
“Well, actually, in the list of the top 10 most loyal dogs, German Short-Haired Pointers are not on that list. In fact, most believed that Golden Retrievers would be on the list but they didn’t quite make it, actually being voted at number 11. However, German Short-Haired Pointers are one of the world’s most accomplished hunting dogs.” The man continued to ramble as he looked at your ankle, touching it in different places. “Well, it doesn’t seem to be broken so you should be okay, but those gashes on your leg really should be looked at.”
You laughed through the pain saying, “What are you? Some sort of doctor.”
“Actually, I have three PhDs in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Engineering…” he stopped himself when he noticed you were looking at him, smirking but also with a cocked-head in almost confusion.
“But you weren’t actually asking. I’m sorry.” He offered you a hand and helped you up.
“Thank you for helping me…?” you paused, hoping he would catch your drift in wanting to know his name.
“Spencer.. Dr. Spencer Reid.” He smiled as you grabbed his arm, holding you up.
“Well thank you Doctor, but now I need to find my dog if you don’t mind.”
“What’s uhm, your name? If you don’t mind.” He stuttered.
Was he nervous?
“Y/F/N Y/L/N.” you smiled, pushing your bangs behind your ears, taking out the last earbud and putting it in your pocket.
“I can help you find your dog if you’d like and you should probably go to the ER for that. It could probably use some stitches,” he said as the two of you walked a few steps until Walter came running up to you with a dead squirrel in his mouth, wagging his tail as if he just brought you the best present in the world.
You couldn’t help but giggle, “Ew” more giggles, “Gross.” Spencer and you both laughed.
“I told you they were accomplished hunting dogs,” Spencer smirked looking at you with a look that lasted just a little bit longer than you expected. Spencer kindly bent down and grabbed Walter’s leash.
This man is incredibly handsome and I could look at him for days. Stop it Y/N, he’s just being kind and helping. Sometimes you had a hard time separating kindness from something more.
“So how about I get you a ride and make sure you get to the ER for your leg,” he asked again as you held his nice strong arms, Stop Y/N, toward the street, out of the park.
“No, no. I can’t do that, I really should get back home,” you let go of him trying to walk as you grabbed Walter’s leash, but nearly fell all over again. Spencer was quick to catch you before you fell to another impact, possibly making the wounds worse.
“What are you? A ninja or a cat with those reflexes,” you couldn’t help but laugh at his mannerisms and behaviors. He was an interesting person and you were just wanting to get to know more about him.
“No, just something I do everyday. But honestly, I’m a pretty clumsy person,” he admitted with a hidden smile.
Between a few more words, you and Spencer agreed to let him buy you an Uber to take you and Walter home. The Uber man was not particularly happy about the dog part, but you guys had bribed him with extra cash due to the situation.
The ride wasn’t long and soon you were back to your apartment, Spencer helping you out of the car and getting Walter.
“Shit. Of course, the one time I really need an elevator, I don’t have one. Guess I’ll crawl,” you groaned with irritation.
“Or, I could carry you up. Nothing weird, I’ll just give you a piggyback ride,” he shrugged as he looked at you.
At first you thought he was joking but no, this man was serious. Carrying you up three flights of stairs wasn’t too bad, but it seemed like a lot to you. You huffed out in defeat and gave in to his offer. He bent down so you could get on his back. He was careful to not touch your leg or ankle so he didn’t hurt them.
“You ready?” he asked.
“Up, up, and away!” You yelled with a hint of playfulness. He giggled and you gripped on tight. Luckily, Walter knew where the door was and he ran straight up. You only hoped that’s exactly where he went. Obviously he had a track record of not listening to you.
As Spencer carried you, there was no way that you could ignore the fresh smell of shampoo in his hair and how his toned arms and shoulders felt under yours.
“Did you just smell my hair?” Spencer laughed as he continued up the stairs.
“I absolutely did not just sniff your hair that smells like flowers,” you lied with a snort.
Just before you could say something else, you guys were at your door, with Walter waiting right in front.
“Thanks for doing one thing right today,” you sighed with a smile, patting your dog on the head. You opened the door and smiled to Spencer, “Thank you again for helping me out again, Spencer. I appreciate it. Also, you haven’t told me what you do but from what I understand you’re the combination of a cat and ninja.”
“Let’s just say I work for the government and I’m used to this stuff,” he pushed his hair back.
You noticed immediately the form sweating on his forehead and the way he licked his lips unintentionally. Get a grip Y/N.
Snapping back to what was in front of you, “Spencer, please let me thank you by ordering some food for you and get you something to drink… As long as that doesn’t seem weird.”
Spencer hesitated for a second, looking down, letting his locks of brown and curls fall in front of his face. He looked up with a gentle smile and agreed.
“I’m going to hobble my way into the bathroom and take a shower and then try to deal with the bandages and cleaning up my wounds. There’s a folder in the top drawer to the right of the refrigerator with restaurants that you can choose to order from. I’ll be done in like 15 minutes, tops. Please make yourself at home, seriously. Mi casa es su casa,” you smiled and began to hobble just down the hallway.
After 15 minutes, like you said, you got out of the shower and realized that you didn’t grab any clothes. Shit. You groaned out loud to yourself. Why wouldn’t you grab clothes before you went to take a shower when there’s a hot man standing in your living room? You grab the towel and walk out in the hallway, hoping that he doesn’t see you, but as soon as you walk out, you run straight into Spencer’s chest.
“Ope! Shit!” you jumped with startlement.
Spencer immediately covered his eyes, “I’m so sorry! I was just coming to knock on the door and check on you.”
You gained your composure and blurted out, “Quit it. You act as if you hadn’t seen a woman in a towel before.” You walked away into your bedroom, wondering where the hell that confidence and flirtatiousness came from. Sometimes you surprise yourself.
Back out in the living room, you had noticed that he had fed Walter, and you finally sat down on the couch. “Thanks for feeding Walter. How did you know where his food was?” You had it in a particular cabinet, not where you figured most would keep it.
“You’d be surprised how many individuals’ kitchens are similarly put together and organized,” he spoke with confidence.
“People are creatures of habits,” you both said at the same time and looked at each other and giggled. You felt the red on your cheeks rise up and almost the same for his. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a therapist, you recognize people’s body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice.
While you sat down, you attempted to verbally direct Spencer through your apartment to find the medical box you had of bandages and stuff to clean your wounds. Luckily, he was incredibly smart and able to understand your horrible direction. After a few curse words, tylenol, and an ice pack later, you thanked him once again for putting the bandages on you and began to talk about where to order. The two of you both agreed to get chinese, oddly enough ordering pretty similar orders.
The two of you sat on the couch, him sitting next to you, your shoulders touching lightly, as your leg up on the coffee table to keep it elevated and iced. Both of you agreed to watch some Disney movies to pass the time, talking about what you did, telling him that you’re a therapist. He seemed to be understanding when you talked about what you do, how you love helping people but that it is exhausting.
“I couldn’t agree more. Burn-out is real and people sometimes forget to take care of themselves. That’s my favorite part of my job too,” he rambled on.
For a while, the two of you fell into a pattern, eating, talking about the movies that were on, laughing about the things that each of you have experienced in life, and sometimes just enjoying each other in silence.
You learned that he found it funny that your dog’s name was Walter because his middle name was Walter. He learned that you have lived in this city your whole life. Also, that the both of you have never been out of the country. You found each other holding each other’s gaze a little bit longer than usual, like at the park, but this time more comfortably. You also learned this man was walking genius. Which had you interested in anything he did or said. Having an eidetic memory could be a curse and blessing, from what it sounded like.
***
You don’t know how much time had passed, but you realized that you had fallen asleep. It must’ve been hours later. You noticed that there was a large figure behind you and an arm around you as well. You almost freaked out until you realized that the man who had helped you yesterday had stayed the night by accident and was near you. Spencer. You thought to yourself. You turned slowly to see his face. He seemed calm and his breathing at a normal pace.
Without trying to wake him up, you looked down and saw that Walter was asleep at the other side of the couch. Oddly enough for a dog, he didn’t like mornings. You attempted to move your way into the kitchen behind you, noticing that your leg wasn’t hurting as bad as last night, but still some pain. You looked at the clock, it was 5am, and you instinctively began to make some coffee. Not trying to be creepy, but you watched Spencer as he slept, moving a little bit here and there.
You grabbed the coffee cups and miraculously made it back over to the couch without falling or spill, and almost as if the smell hit his nose, he was awake.
“Hey,” you whispered to him, handing the coffee to him.
He smiled and grunted out the word hey, taking the coffee and sipping it slowly. “Thanks, I can never turn down a cup of coffee.”
The two of you sat there in silence but Spencer was the first to talk. “I’m really sorry about staying the night. I hope that didn’t bother you.”
You put your hand on his hand, “absolutely not. Seriously. I really had an awesome time getting to know you last night and hanging out. You’re seriously hilarious and great company,” you blushed as you said it. I probably sound like a freaking idiot. Good one Y/N, you’ll probably scare a nice person away. Although you were a therapist, you had a lot of self-doubt about yourself, something you really struggled with, but sometimes there was that confidence.
“Me too. It was... normal,” he said with intention and obviously using his words carefully. “My life is not really what most would consider normal.”
“What is normal anyway?” You questioned with a smirk and partially a rhetorical question.
Before Spencer could answer, hsi phone began to ring. He grabbed it and immediately you saw fear and maybe some anger in his eyes.
“I… I-I- have to take this, sorry…” he trailed off, getting up and going down your hallway, as if he knew the place. You were concerned because that was the first time you had really seen Spencer, in the last 24 hours that you’ve known him, seem defeated almost. You weren’t trying to eavesdrop but you still couldn’t hear him.
Spencer’s POV
“Hey JJ, what’s going on? Did you guys find my Mom? I should be there..” he spoke trying to calm himself. He was still frustrated with the fact that he couldn’t be part of this. He wanted to find her. After all of what Cat Adams has put him through, she had to go and hit him where it hurts the worst. Having his Mom kidnapped.
“I know Spence, I’m sorry,” JJ stayed quiet for a moment then stated “One big thing we found out is that Cat and Lindsay, aren’t just a partnership, they were lovers. Well, for Lindsay they were or are lovers. However, we found out that Lindsay is in love with Cat, but we don’t think that’s the same for Cat.”
Every time he heard her name, he felt this anger build up more and more inside of him. One that he never really had before prison. People say prison changes a person and Spencer had always found it to be a saying people would use to rationalize their behaviors, but now, he believed it. He would never kill Cat Adams, but he sure wouldn’t feel any different if she died.
“Spence? Are you listening to me?” JJ brought him back to reality.
“Yeah, sorry. So Lindsay is in love with Cat… Cat is manipulative, she will do whatever it takes to get control and achieve her goal,” he said with that anger slowly starting to build up. He began to breathe slowly, to calm himself. He couldn’t let it get the best of him.
“They recently got into a fight, somehow, they had connection with one another in person, we’re thinking that Lindsay pretended to be someone else to get into the prison and bypass security or there’s a mole allowing this all to happen. All we know is that it caused a riff between Cat and Lindsay, making this a possible way to break the connection between the two. Unfortunately, Lindsay is still being loyal to Cat. Love can do some weird things to people.”
“So we’re nowhere closer to finding my mom?” his voice broke.
JJ stopped speaking and then he heard Emily speak, “Hey Spence, I know it’s Sunday morning, but something just happened. I need you in here this morning. We’re transferring Cat Adams back here. She’s agreeing to talk. On one condition,” she trails off, Spencer knowing where this is going.
“If she talks to me..” he spoke quietly. He rubbed his eyes and hair, “I’ll be there soon.”

always (part six) | harry holland series
summary: you finally give birth to your little angel, reveal her special name to harry and let the holland family hold her
word count - 3.3k
warnings - language? , mentions of birth
Being 9 months pregnant was ridiculously difficult. You yourself felt like the child, rather than the one you were carrying, at this point. You couldn’t do anything without someone else to help you. The Hollands had been utter angels to you, helping you with every little thing to make sure you were completely prepared to give birth.
“How you feeling today, mama?” Tom teased as you entered the kitchen to fulfill, yet another craving.
“Tired, and huge.” You whined, pouting at the oldest Holland. He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and hugged you.
“Not long now, then you’ll have your adorable little girl.” You nodded your head, smiling at the thought.
“Feels like it’s taking forever.” You complained.
“Why don’t you go take a nap?” You nodded, thanking Tom before heading upstairs to Harry’s room. You weren’t sure where he was, assuming he was doing something with either his twin or his little brother.
Little did you know that this sleep was not going to be as peaceful as you originally hoped.
A sharp pain in your lower abdomen woke you from your sleep, jolting upright and cupping your large belly. You took deep breaths, letting your eyes adjust to being awake before checking the time on the clock next to Harry's bed.
You convinced yourself it was nothing, pushing yourself out of bed to use the bathroom before you’d go back to sleep like nothing happened.
However, another sharp pain followed by a gush of water made you panic.
“Harry!” You shouted, not knowing where in the house he was. He ran into his childhood bedroom with a scared look on his face, finding you standing in the middle of the floor, cupping the bottom of your belly standing in a puddle of water and squeezing your eyes shut in pain.
“Hey.” He placed his hand on your lower back, the other lifting your chin to look at him. “What happened?” You panted as the contraction wore off.
“I-I think my water just broke.” His eyes widened, yelling for his Mum.
For the last few weeks of your pregnancy, you’d been staying in the Holland household just in case anything were to happen. It also meant you had Nikki’s help when you finally went into labour, just like right now.
“What’s wrong?” Harry looked at his mum in fear.
“Her water broke.” He simply stated. Nikki nodded, refusing to show any sign of panic as she made her way over to you.
“We need to get you to the car, Harry can you-“ He nodded, taking your hand and being careful to walk you downstairs, stopping halfway to help you wait out your contraction.
When you were finally in the car you noticed Sam was now driving, giving him a tight lipped smile and a thank you.
“You’re doing so well, y/n.” You laid your head on Harry’s shoulder, squeezing his hand as you took deep breaths to try and calm the pain.
“So proud of you, bug.” You smiled, looking up at him.
“You haven’t called me that in years.” Truthfully, Harry stopped calling you that after he met Nate. there was one time where he let it slip, like a habit in front of him and he didn’t react too kindly about it.
“It just kinda slipped out.” You tucked your head into his neck again.
“I like it, don’t worry.” The drive felt as though it was never going to end. You wanted nothing more than to make it to the hospital and get your baby out of you so this pain would stop. Every few minutes you’d squeeze the life out of Harry’s hands, crying out in pain.
“We’re here.” Sam announced. You were helped into the hospital where you were led to a private room, your contractions growing closer together and, arguably more painful, as time passed by.
“Harry.” You whimpered, clutching his arm as another contraction shot through your body. “I don’t think I can do this.”
“You can, you’re one of the strongest people I know.” He said, pressing his lips to your head to try and calm you down.
“It hurts.” You looked up at him with tears threatening to fall from your eyes, his heart shattering as he had to witness the pain his favourite person was going through.
“You can do this, I know you can.” Half an hour later you were giving birth, one of the most painful, and if not, the most painful experience of your life. Harry stayed with you the whole time like he’d promised you all those months ago, letting you squeeze the life out of his hand. All while he’d whisper words of encouragement and praise to you.
“One final push, y/n.” You panted like a dog that needed water, listening to the doctor countdown from 10. The final push was the most relieving one of all, your baby girl finally being brought out into the world, her hearty wails echoing around the hospital room.
You leaned your head on Harry’s chest while they cleaned her, utterly worn out. The tiny girl was placed on your chest, a small sob slipping past your lips as you stared down at her.
One by one the doctors started to leave the room, checking you and baby were okay first.
Once you, Harry and your girl were left alone, you finally grinned widely.
“I can’t even believe she’s real.” You said.
“Did you decide on a name?” He asked, bending down to be closer to your height. You nodded with a grin, taking his hand into yours.
“What is it?” You turned your attention back to her.
“Happy birthday, Lily rose y/l/n.” You kissed her head, tears running down your face as you stared at your perfect creation. Harry grinned, tearing up slightly as he put it altogether.
“Roses for Lily?” You looked at him and nodded.
“My way of honouring you for everything you’ve done for me.” He leaned down and hugged you, trying to not let you know that he was secretly crying over the sweet gesture.
“A december baby, just like Paddy.” You giggled, nodding your head. You stroked her cheek as gently as you possibly could, feeling too emotional and filled with adoration to even speak. Her tiny, bright eyes fluttered to a close, feeling content enough with being in her mother’s arms to fall asleep.
You and Harry didn’t speak for a while, scared that even a quiet noise would wake up your precious angel. This continued until Harry eventually broke the silence, just to tell you how amazing you were.
“ ‘m so proud of you.” Harry stroked his fingers through your hair, disregarding that you were a sweaty mess as you finally held your little girl. She slept soundly as the two of you admired the little bub.
“Thank you Harry, really.” You whispered. He furrowed his eyebrows.
“For what?” He asked.
“For helping me through this, all of it, I wouldn’t have survived the last 9 months without you.” You told him, tearfully.
“You don’t have to thank me, I would never make you do this alone.” He kissed your head, a small smile permanently glued to your face. Both of your attentions were directed back to Lily.
“She’s absolutely perfect.” He confessed. You nodded in agreement.
The little bub started to blink open her eyes, her sleep not lasting very long, showing you the gorgeous orbs that were the same colour as yours.
“Hi pretty girl.” She let out a yawn, the unknown action scaring her, you watched as her face scrunched up and she began to cry.
“Oh no, you’re okay, was just a yawn.” You nuzzled your nose against her head, gently placing your lips against her skin to soothe her.
“I know, it was scary hm?” The little one calmed down after a little while, entranced with Harry who sat in her eye line.
“That was the cutest thing ever.” You giggled, motioning for Harry to take a seat on your bed. He carefully leaned over and traced her cheek with his thumb, tearing up when her tiny hand wrapped around his much bigger thumb.
You smiled at the sight, laying your head against his chest. You didn’t want to kill the happy mood, but you couldn’t help but let your mind drift off to thinking about Nate.
“Should I text him, just to let him know?” You wondered aloud. Harry looked down at you and noticed the uncertainty clouded in your eyes.
“Did he ever respond to your last text?” You shook your head. Even though he said he wasn’t ready to be a father, you’d still sent Nate updates every now and then, sometimes pictures of sonograms, or sometimes if she was kicking, just to let him know his girl was doing okay.
“Just leave it, he clearly doesn’t care.” You nodded sadly, glancing back down at your bub, you noticed the discomfort on her face before she began to tear up, quickly turning into a heart wrenching wail, your own heart aching not knowing what was wrong.
“Y/n?” You lifted your head and glanced at Nikki standing in the doorway of your hospital room. “The midwife said she might need feeding, she should be in soon.” You nodded, cooing at the baby to try and stop her cries. You motioned for Nikki to come inside, letting her take a spare seat beside your bed, looking down at Lily with a watery smile.
There was a knock on your hospital room door a few minutes later, opening just slightly for the woman to pop her head around and announce her presence.
“Hi y/n.” You looked up, spotting the nurse and giving her a warm smile. “Are you ready to try and feed her?”
You nodded your head, Harry’s eyes widening when he realised what was happening and that you would have to partly undress.
“I’ll wait outside.” He offered, trying to be a gentleman.
“Oh, are you sure?” You didn’t mind Harry being here while you fed Lily, but you respected that he might feel uncomfortable. He kissed your head before leaving the room, going to update his brothers on how everything was going.
Feeding Lily for the first time was a strange experience, but you were glad you had Nikki and the midwife by your side to tell you it was completely normal and you would eventually get used to it.
After feeding, burping and rocking the girl to sleep, Harry came back in, switching with his mother to take the place beside your bed. Nikki kissed your head in a motherly way and decided to leave to let you sleep.
“Nikki, if you want to go home, you can.” You said, feeling bad to make the family wait with you.
“Are you sure, we can always stay?” You smiled and nodded.
“I’ll have to stay here until tomorrow anyway, i’ll come straight to you.” She nodded, bidding you, Lily and her son goodbye.
You and Harry both sat in silence for a few minutes, just watching the baby in your arms sleep peacefully. Harry was, once again, first to break the silence.
“Why don’t you get some sleep, in the nicest way possible, y’look exhausted.” Harry commented, stroking his fingers through your hair as your eyes fought to stay open. Lily sleeping calmly in your arms.
“Don’t wanna miss a second.” You whined, looking over at Harry with a pout he found adorable.
“I'll watch her, I promise.” You nodded reluctantly, Harry carefully took the baby wrapped in the fluffy, white blanket into his arms, listening to your instructions on how to hold her properly, then assisting you in getting comfortable on the hospital bed.
For the next few hours, Harry stayed mesmerised with the newborn in his arms, while you got some well deserved sleep after an extremely long day.
———
Harry drove you to the Holland house before driving you home from the hospital the next morning, watching you be completely entranced with your little creation. You were so careful with every movement you made, trying not to scare or overwhelm her.
She was properly introduced to each of the Holland siblings, giving the boys the chance to hold her and just talk to her. The whole thing turned out to be a lot more chaotic than you would have originally anticipated.
“Where does my hand go?” Tom asked frantically. You guided one to the back of her head and then the other to hold her back. You told Tom he was doing perfect, calming his nerves slightly.
Paddy was much less of a nightmare than Tom, not even needing the help to position his hands. He looked in awe of the tiny human that was staring up at him, his heart all fuzzy and excited.
Sam was a pro, clearly having held many babies in his lifetime, probably because of all the Holland siblings he could be trusted the most with a human life. “She’s gorgeous, y/n.” Harry and Tom nodded, Paddy still not taking his eyes off the girl in his brother's arms.
Nikki cried while getting to finally hold Lily, her heart swelling with pride. You were practically a daughter to her and she couldn’t find the words to explain how proud she was of you. Harry watched your eyes grow heavier and heavier, deciding it was time to take you back to your own home now. They were all reluctant to let you leave, making you promise you’d be back as soon as possible, which of course you were more than happy to do.
Driving back to your own home, you were filled with the excitement of the idea of introducing Lily into the place she’d grow up.
It didn’t take long to get there, Harry helping to carry your stuff inside while you cradled your babygirl.
“This is your home Lily.” Harry watched you both, practically with heart eyes bulging from his head. You showed Lily around some more. You were fully aware that she didn’t understand anything you were saying, but you were hoping that just your voice was capable of soothing the girl. Harry was carrying your hospital bag with him as you led him to the nursery.
You had some hesitations about leaving her in a separate room from you, knowing that she’d need you multiple times in the night anyway.
“Would it be too much trouble to put her crib in my room?” You asked him, hoping he’d be able to move it for you. He shook his head no, taking your bag to your room first. When he came back with the crib you could see he was visibly struggling to get it through the door. You felt bad for laughing, but watching Harry struggle like this just seemed to crack you up.
“I’m glad you find this funny.” He muttered sarcastically, pushing his curls out of his eyes.
“I’m sorry.” You muttered through your giggles, rubbing Lily’s back.
The crib was rolled into place a little space away from your bed, letting you lay your baby girl down on the soft fabric of the blanket inside.
“There we go.” You watched the girl quickly fall asleep in her new crib, your heart warm and happy. Harry sat beside you, shoulders and thighs touching you were that close.
“How are you feeling?” He asked.
“Incredible, I never thought i could love someone so much.” He couldn’t help but smile at you, you looked perfect to him right now. The dopey smile never left your face, the same giddy feeling sitting in the pit of your stomach since the night before. A small yawn escaped your lips, Harry thinking it was the cutest sound ever.
“You tired?” He asked. You nodded, laying your head on his shoulder.
“Come on.” You furrowed your eyebrows, tilting your head like a confused puppy.
“What?” You asked, rubbing your tired eyes.
“Get some sleep, you’ve had a long day.” He kissed your head. You checked on Lily one more time.
“What if she needs me?”
“She doesn’t need you right now, at least get some sleep while you still can.” You sighed before you climbed into bed, already in pyjamas. You pulled your covers up over your body, right up to your chin and almost passed out as soon as your head hit the soft pillow, not realising you were this unbelievably tired.
“Will you stay?” You asked quietly, the idea of being without him seeming to scare you slightly. Harry smiled, nodding his head, laying down beside you. You cuddled into his side, resting your head on his chest comfortably.
“Sweet dreams y/n.” You hummed, nuzzling your face in his warm hoodie.
“Love you, Harry.” You mumbled. He blushed, a silly smile spreading on his face.
“Love you more.” He mumbled, right as you drifted off.
Just as you had suspected, Lily needed you sooner than your body appreciated, seeing as from the time on the clock you’d only been asleep a couple of hours. You woke up to the sound of her cries from the crib, pushing yourself up out of bed and shuffling over to her.
“Oh no, you’re okay.” You hadn’t realised that you’d woken Harry in your haste to get to Lily, the male stretching his muscles, confused himself about when he had fallen asleep.
“She okay?” He asked, voice raspy and full of sleep.
“ ‘m not sure.” You’d already checked her nappy, finding it clean, your next thought being that she was hungry.
“Do you mind if i try and feed her?” Harry was slightly taken back, eyes wide, reduced to a stuttering mess as he thought about you having your bare chest exposed in front of him.
“No, of course, s-she needs to eat, go ahead.” He turned his head away to give you some privacy, finding anything else to put his focus on. He heard you huff, a small whimper coming from you as well.
“Everything okay?” He asked, hearing you sniffle.
“She won’t latch on.” You complained, pulling your shirt up and cradling Lily to your chest. He knew you well enough to know you were getting stressed, not knowing how to help her.
“Can i try?” He asked, noticing the tears welled up in your waterline. You nodded your head, assisting Harry in taking Lily into his arms.
He cooed at the small baby, shushing her and holding her head just under his chin. It didn’t take long for her cries to begin to quieten down, Harry’s scent or presence must have had a strong effect on her because she was calm again in a few minutes.
You didn’t have the energy to be sad or mad that Harry was able to handle her better than you already. You simply rested your chin on his shoulder, kissing his cheek as a thank you.
“You go back to sleep, I'll hold her just a little bit longer.” You nodded sleepily, climbing back into your bed and falling to sleep with the knowledge that Lily was in perfectly good hands.
“You’re okay, aren’t you?” The girl blinked up at him, her eyes curious as she watched the curly haired man talk. She obviously didn’t understand a word he was saying, but that didn’t matter now that she was calm and happy.
“Goodnight Lily.” He carefully placed her down in the crib, watching over her until she drifted off. Harry climbed into your bed as quietly as he could, trying his hardest to not wake you with all the movement.
He froze when you rolled over, accepting your warmth as you cuddled back into his side like you were earlier.
“Is she okay?” You asked, half awake.
“She’s perfect.”
