That was so fast :')) I haven't played it in quite a while I'm afraid. I think I tried getting back into it around the last big update, got like two dozens of hours in, and then something else grabbed my attention. Before that I put like a hundred hours in it around the start of Covid I believe, and it was the first game I played past my bedtime in my room, it was great fun being a teen and realising I could stay up until 3am to do 'just one more day'.

Right now there isn't enough room on my PC to install pretty much anything (BG3 takes up so much space...) so I don't know anything about the last update, but I did like it a lot when I was hugely into it! I was trying really hard to get Maru to love me, and I was almost there with the community center, it was great.

#genuinely no idea of what's in the latest update except from what i've been seeing on my dash (vaguely) #my mom isn't playing it either because she lost her steam password haha #she was the one who did like. so much of that tropical island #i never stepped foot on it because i made a new farm to try it out and didn't reach that part #sorry for the false hope #wow i have an asks tag now

Descole battled Loosha with his spectre robot because Loosha stood in his way of finding the Golden Garden and she was defending the town, but Des seems to take so much vicious joy out of attacking her…

You could chalk this up to Des’ hatred of all things Azran (Loosha could have been a creature from Azran times and she was born in the Golden Garden), but what if Des had another hatred— and fear… of the Loch Ness Monster?

What if a certain Scottish butler unintentionally instilled a fear in young Desmond with his bedtime stories— old folk tales of a beast in Loch Ness? Poor Des is so traumatised (though, of course, he never tells Raymond this!) that he almost bails on his plans when he gets to Misthallery and this GIANT LAKE MONSTER IS WAITING FOR HIM. It squares up to Des’ robot with a haunting wailing cry… (“EEEEEEEEEEE!”)

Des barely sleeps. He can still hear the monster in his dreams, long after he has fled from Misthallery. He wakes up on Ambrosia in a cold sweat. He is so relieved when he gets to Monte d’Or because it’s a desert, and there’s no way on Earth another Azran water cow could be here. Right? Right…?

But while he’s in Misthallery, Des steels himself— He needs to find Golden Garden before Targent!—and he goes out to face Nessie, and his childhood demons. Raymond will be so proud of him…

Raymond is, actually, horrified when he finds out what his disaster of a son has done.

“I may have lost the Golden Garden, but at least I vanquished the beast!”

“Well done, Master… but did you really need to put the poor creature through so much pain?”

“You don’t understand, Raymond— it was the Loch Ness Monster! The elusive monster from your stories that has terrified Britain for eons! We’re finally rid of it!”

“…”

“Desmond… You do know the Loch Ness Monster is a just a legend, don’t you?”

My husband fucking hates Azula (fair) but meanwhile every time we see her I just think about how much a foil she is to Zuko and how they much they reflect the parents that “chose” them.

Ursa and Iroh were clear parental figures to Zuko from a young age, not really developing a close bond with Azula. Meanwhile, Azula was groomed by her father to be his perfect tool, where he was the one constantly encouraging her.

Zuko has several flaws, most of which stem from the neglect and abuse from his father, but he is good at his core and he has Iroh to guide him. Meanwhile, Ozai encourages all of Azula’s flaws, pushing her further into villainy.

• it's the 16th so it took me 3 ingame days to get it

• i tested the "better fertilizer better chance to get big crop" theory and the one with the basic fertilizer grew first

• i didn't plant pumpkins anywhere else so maybe that helped
