i actually just FINISHED THE 54 FISH SERIES earlier today, how cool is that??? it's been such a fun project... it's helped me build a lot of confidence in rendering proportional semirealistic animals, and i even learned a few cool new ways to color fish both quickly and accurately. i've split the final ones into 6 queued posts. i already uploaded some to my redbubble as stickers and shirts, but i'll be adding more later, including the poster design i'm putting together for my dad!

My print shop, but with a backstory

So… a funny thing happened.

Since I started to post my experimental Emeritus portraits I’ve had some requests to make them available as prints. Actually I have been working around this idea but I had a hard time finding the right way to make them available. I am still unsure about Redbubble for many reasons.

Anyway, now they actually are (find a quick posters menu below):

I have tried a couple of print-on-demand websites but I wasn’t sure of them because I thought the shipping costs were too high and it wasn’t worth it, one of these website is Redbubble. I had set up the shop and all but just abandoned it there, sure nobody would notice.

After dropping Redbubble, I had taken into consideration the direct selling (me personally printing stuff and shipping it through Vinted or Etsy) but while I was still deciding what to do, without a single shred of expectation, the items I had uploaded on Redbubble started to sell. Like people actually started buying my stuff while I was almost forgetting having a shop there. Funny. At that point I just said “ok, so let’s roll with it.”

I can't decide the actual price of the items but only my earning margin, which I have lowered to keep prices affordable. Nice to mention that Redbubble keeps the 90% of earnings.

Now, I have never bought on Redbubble so I have no idea of the print quality, but I have just ordered a bunch of my own stuff (posters, magnets and stickers) to test it. Please don’t kick my little scared ass if the quality isn’t top, write to me and I’ll sort it out at best of my possibilities.

Bear with me, this is the first time I do something like this.

I am currently in the process of setting up a Redbubble store, featuring all the digital art I’ve been posting over the past month. It’s taking longer than I thought it would—because I am a Perfectionist(TM)—but I expect to have the store all set up and open to the public by the end of this week. So keep an eye out for that!

A few Q&A, to keep this simple:

Q: How many designs will there be in the store?

A: Approximately 35. Most of them feature hobbits, Gollum, and/or Beregond.

Q: Will all the digital art you posted be available in the store?

A: Not yet. Things like In The Van are a bit too small to make good products, so I’ll have to redraw that sometime in a higher resolution. (I also plan to redraw Perfect Satisfaction sometime, since it turns out it’s too small an image size to be a proper poster.)

Q: Will you be adding more designs to the store in future?

A: Absolutely! Currently I’m a little under halfway through my stockpile of sketches that I want to turn into digital art. As soon as I finish those, they will be going into the store!

Q: I requested something for the store a long time ago. Will it be there?

A: Eventually. ;-) Patience, my friend.

Q: Are the Field of Cormallen and Scouring of the Shire posters available?

A: Nope X-D Sorry. Haven’t gotten to those yet. But they will be! And in the meantime, I will have both versions of the Horn of Rohan poster available, if that strikes your fancy.

Q: How many designs do you have uploaded in the store right now?

A: I estimate I’m about a third of the way through. If I continue at the same pace, it’ll take me another couple of days to get everything uploaded and set up.

Q: Will going back to your day job affect your posting schedule?

A: Yes it will. The building where I work has been under renovation for the whole month of June, but they just finished, and I’m going back to work tonight. That means I’ll have less time for digital art. But I’ll continue to chip away at it when I can!

Q: Can we have a preview of the store?

A: Maaaaaaybe.

Oh yeah I might as well post this here for the 2 people who follow me and aren't already in discords with me,

I'm doing this:

In an attempt to improve my art, I started out just doing it for the sake of drawing something almost every day but now I think I'm gonna save these for whenever I feel I've made an improvement. Each day I am doing a different OC and I'm trying to lean towards having each character in an outfit I wouldn't normally draw them in

#1 was done with Orpheus Valor from Paragons

He was pretty fun to draw because I don't do masc characters very often. Also doing him for the underwear post was good because my GM, Gracie, and I had previously joked about him having scars where top surgery scars would be and just fully not being trans (there are other trans characters in Paragons I feel like we get to do a little bit of queerbaiting) so he was mauled by a bear.

#2 was done with Rabbit Leporidae from Thyrasylo.

Rabbit is normally dressed in either a suit or a frilly dress despite the fact that her name stems from the fact that her original design was wearing a bunny suit. Her shirt is a gag stolen from Thrilling Intent, I think it's funny for the most powerful spellcaster in my world to be wearing a spelling bee shirt. This was also cool because I got to draw her tattoos. Neither of her previous tokens really showed them off much so I thought I could use this opportunity to draw them. They don't have any real significance as of right now but I might ascribe some to them later.

#3 is with Ivy Blackleaf from Thyrasylo

Ivy is very fun to draw, this prompt made me finally design a logo for her Mom's cafe. I think I made it a little too close to the Olive Garden logo. Otherwise this was a fairly straightforward one, I did get to practice expression a little bit.

#4 with Roxanne De'Rulo from Crescent King

Messy hair Roxie is really fun to draw. I forced myself to make this a full body to try and practice feet, I don't think they look all that great. Her hand is a little bit fucked up but I am glad that I drew it at all, practice is important. Otherwise the only thing of note with this one is that I lost the original TRIPWIRE band logo and Redbubble doesnt let you redownload your uploaded designs which kinda blows.

#5 with Jayden Valekrave from Paranoia and Evi Halloran from Macrocosmos

The first one with a backdrop. This one was also voted on by a whole 37 people who took time out of their day to vote on my silly little Google form. Evi is in the background because she was the runner up and I probably wouldn't draw her anywhere else. I also think I didn't do justice to all the people who voted for Jayden. I super didn't have a reference pulled up and I am not skilled enough to draw from my imagination yet. Jayden's halberd, Dawnbreaker, having sunglasses on is the best part of this image. She is so silly. I also started drawing the eyes without having lineart on them here. Idk how I like it, we'll have to see.

#6 with Vernidaius Yxerei from Decent Into Avernus

Compression kinda fucked this one up a bit, but the name of the game with this one was experimenting with brushes. I kinda tried to get some of the texture that I really love out of Jackson FrameDodge of The3rdWheel's work. Unfortunately I dont really know how to shade properly so it's kinda all over the place, and harder to see on the skin, oops. This one had a pose reference initially but the legs ended up being too difficult for me to do so I just sorta covered one of them. I also super forgot to draw Vermi's scales here. The line-less eyes are still something I'm on the fence about. I think this background is a good bit better than the previous one, the only part of the previous one that I really ended up liking is the clouds.

Hi there, I love your art & have been looking at grabbing something off your Redbubble! I’ve noticed that your “angel of the lord” & “chilling on a cloud” designs have little slivers of white around the border, which can look a little odd on transparent stickers, cotton tote bags, non-white clothing, that sort of thing. If you’re able & so inclined, I was wondering if you would upload one that’s got transparent edges? All good if not of course and sorry if this is coming off as rude at all! Well xD Okay so I have this problem (“problem”) where I’m developing the backstory for a character and as soon as I think about in-universe fiction that may have influenced that character, I end up spending way too much time thinking about it like its own thing.

So this is Captain Artemis! Basically a parody of magical girl anime like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura, and something from Kiida’s childhood that influenced her to become an archer during her military training. I’ve had some character designs going along with this too, but I got the logo done first so here you go lol

It’s been a while since I made a polished logo design so this was fun! Enjoy :) Apparently Redbubble has gone down the toilet but I’ll upload these there for now until I figure out what I’ll do next.

About me :D

hi, hello! to start this blog off I think it would be nice to introduce myself a little, so here go a couple of basic questions about me...

What's your name? I go by Daisy in English (cause it's way cuter and easier than my original name in Polish lol and I really like flowers). But let's say my initials are MP, that's why I sign my artwork with it :D

What are your pronouns? She/Her

How old are you? I'm 22 years old, living that early 20s crisis lol

Do you have a degree in art? Nope, I went to uni for Romance Philology, cause I really enjoy languages, literature and different cultures too. But I've always liked art too as a side project!

So why this blog? Well, I don't really know what I want to do in life, so I decided to make this to start taking it more seriously as a possible actual job or just a way of having a place less chaotic than my insta to show the art I'm proud of sort of like a portfolio (and maybe even some behind the scenes I never shared...)

And what would you like to work in? I feel like a creative space would be cool. Maybe like editorial work, maybe designing stuff for books... idk, but I like the idea of being able to work on many different things instead of doing the same for years on end...

Do you do original art or fanart? Both. I have many ideas, sometimes I get obsessed with a show or something and want to try making fanart for it, but I have many original ideas too!

Is it traditional or digital art? Well, I enjoy both immensely. Because I sort of moved to Poland from Spain I don't have many of my supplies, so I'm resorting to digital more. I use the XP-Pen Deco 01 V2 tablet to draw. The program I use is Medibang Paint (and I am thinking of buying Clip Studio in the future when I have more resources at hand, cause I heard it's really good!) Unfortunately, my laptop is not great at colours, so I really like Medibang for letting me upload to the cloud and letting me deal with the colours on my phone :D (none of this is sponsored btw, I'm just sharing my experience)

How would you describe your art style? "I'm just trying" lol. I don't have one, I just try new and different things and supplies and programs as I feel like it. Many times it depends on what feeling I want the piece to have, so that makes me try and learn new techniques and I really enjoy doing that :D

Do you do commissions? Maybe a store? No, I don't. I'm not ready for something like that yet. Maybe down the line uploading stuff to pages like redbubble could be an option, I don't know much about how any of this works, I'll be figuring it out slowly

Can I message you? Please do, for anything! You wanna be mutuals and share with me silly posts or about a fandom we share? Go ahead! Do you need advice or vent to someone? DMs are open :D

What fandoms are you in? Well, I was in Sanders Sides for a long time, but I don't really go there anymore, maybe when we get more content I might just jump back in, though I still follow Thomas and check his content when I can cause I still enjoy it! I do enjoy figure skating and follow a bit on Yuzuru Hanyu, mostly Then we have my most recent fandoms I am kinda obsessed with: MDZS and BTS. Yeah, wild stuff. Have I drawn anything about them? Not yet really, I do have one MDZS sketch I'm working on, and a couple based on BTS songs, so maybe soon I'll share those here cause I feel quite proud of them so far :D I do enjoy many other series and films, but I don't think I'd be able to just list them cause it's so random. You can always ask if you need a friend to whom you get to be weird to, no judgement, we all be like that! I ranted about BTS to my bestie who knows basically nothing about them for almost a year now and they still love me nonetheless hahahah

I want to make a Redbubble. The economy in my home has been a bit difficult, and after analyzing all my options, asking for some advice, and seeing what other people were doing, I saw that the Redbubble was a good option.

So, during this time I'll be working on some designs, Danny Phantom and Transformers mainly.

Santa's coming to town-- wait, someone else is instead! With a driver and someone checking the list, they're making their way across the sky with a flying reindeer at the lead. Unlike the other YCH with a more simple background or prop with the use of assets or 3D models to help, this one is completely hand drawn with no assets to assist me in drawing the sleigh or chibi-fied reindeer, along with facing my challenge: perspective.

For this YCH, you can also choose the color of the sleigh and reindeer and any little patterns you wish to see that'll fit your characters of choice. Also! If you want the reindeer to be changed to another four legged steed, the price does increase for the adjustments.

🎄 Society6 Shop Closing on January 6, 2023 🎄

After a long time consideration, I decided between RedBubble and Society6, that I would prefer to keep my RedBubble store open and shut down Society6 instead. Mainly because it's much easier to upload new works onto RedBubble without creating dozens of copies so it could fit into Society6's products and Society6 really does limit you on what or where you can upload your artwork on, including cropping your work on their products. I will keep Society6 open for the holidays and it will be closing on January 6th, 2023.

I have used RedBubble more often and bought my own works to test their quality, from stickers, mugs and shirts especially that brought a great impression. They turned out really good! Here's a photo of two RedBubble shirts I bought with my artwork on! (Sorry for the bad picture quality and setup.  I'll do a better one next time.)
