Is there a reason you only reblog from the same blogs? Do you have a criteria for upstead content or is the upstead fandom this small?

The OC fandom in general is small, at least compared to other fandoms. And there's not many content creators around anymore, I know some people stopped creating stuff because their work was being reposted without credit... that's very frustrating and discouraging.

And no, I don't have any criteria. I track the #upsteadedit and #upsteadsource tags and I reblog stuff from there. I have a queue (so if you or anyone is waiting for a specific post, it will show up eventually).

Hey Upstead friends! A couple days ago, I posted another Upstead one-shot on AO3! It started as one thing, turned into something else, and then kind of went back to what I had originally intended. Essentially, 9x18 was missing a domestic moment, and I needed to write it. Let me know what you think!

Summary: Hailey and Jay talk about Torres, and they both get some reassurance.

Hailey tossed her damp towel over the arm of the chair in their bedroom. It was a bad habit, she knew—especially when the towel rack was right there—but it was pretty low on the list, and she was too tired to care. She ran a hand through her wet hair as she flipped off the light, and she yawned as she turned on the small bedside lamp on her nightstand.

Jay was flopped on his stomach on top of the covers, his head on his arm, his eyes closed, and his freckled skin bathed in warm light. His sweats rested low on his hips, and she ogled him a bit—she was allowed, the ring on her finger said so—as she climbed onto the bed. She settled cross-legged next to him, close enough that her folded knees bumped his back. He hummed a bit when her movement jostled him, but he kept his eyes closed.

Hailey began trailing her fingers over his bare back, tracing long-familiar lines between his freckles with a feather-light touch. He hummed again, goosebumps breaking out over his skin in the wake of her fingers.

“Did you find out anything?” she asked quietly.

ONE CHICAGO APPRECIATION WEEK!

In response to the anonymous message that was floating around in several of our inboxes about organizing our own One Chicago Day for the date of the premiere, I decided to go ahead and organize a little something to celebrate this year’s season premieres!

But, instead of just one day...I thought it’d be fun to dedicate the entire week to the franchise leading up to premiere night!

Information and prompts are below the cut.

As someone who writes and makes gifs, I find that prompts hardly ever work for both writers and gifmakers, so I created a list of prompts intended for gifmakers/editors/etc., and then a separate batch of prompts for writers to use.

For giffing/editing/etc., each prompt coordinates with a day. Of course the idea is to post your creation the day of, but if you post early or late, that’s totally cool, too!

Prompts are as follows:

Saturday, 9/17: Favorite Episode

Sunday, 9/18: Favorite Ship
