May every star you wish upon And every hope you're hangin' on come true Out of everybody in the world There's no one who deserves it more than you
In some versions, the musician Linus is the son of Hermes, god of the Crossroads, and the muse Urania, goddess of Astronomy.

Emalia vs Nyx, Fight Practice Round Two
"I need to get stronger."
"You? A poor imitation, stronger?"
"I don't care what I am."
"So be it, then."
* * * * * * *
The girl huffs beneath her breath, lunging across the pitch-black field and swinging her blade at the shadow-coated figure. The figure's eyes glow a distinct pink, cutting through the dark effortlessly. The blade's edge cuts against wood, chipping into it's surface only the slightest bit. The figure kicks the girl back, dislodging the blade from her staff.
The figure chants an unintelligible phrase, and the orb at the tip of the staff releases rotating rays of bluish-green light. The figure twirls it with both hands several times over, causing a vicious wind to batter down over the girl. She slides backward, struggling to grip the loose soil beneath her feet. She slams her sword down into the ground and whips her eyes to the waysides. The nearby shrubbery isn't affected by the wind.
The girl dives out from the wind, leaving her blade behind. The figure slams the end of their cane into the ground, causing the wind to peter out, and lunges at the girl. Before she can react, she's stricken by a kick at stomach, but retaliates. She grabs onto the figure's leg and raises her dagger back. As it is thrust down, the figure vanishes, reappearing a short distance away and swinging their staff at the girl's head. The dagger stabs through the air, and the girl is quick to take notice. She throws herself backward, rolling back, and lands on her feet. She stands, and throws her dagger by it's tip at the figure.
The figure deflects it, knocking it away into the darkness, but is caught out as the girl comes raining down on her with a massive clump of ice encasing her dominant arm. The figure jumps, avoiding the girl's strike, and slams their staff down against her back. The girl is thrown to the ground and quickly rolls to the side as the end of the staff impales the earth below.
The girl spins on her hand, jumping to her feet. The ice rapidly melts and warps until it's form becomes akin to a makeshift pole, only a few feet long. The earth beneath her feet becomes soaked.
The figure's eyes narrow. They release their staff, hands out, and exclaim a new encantation. The orb burns bright with violet light like electrified flames. The figure tears the staff back out and sweeps it at the girl, releasing several thin yet wide waves of torn-looking flames that jump and spasm through the air. The chase after the girl, who sweeps back at them with her frozen pole. The ice gradually melts with each wave dissipated, until there is sparsely any few inches left. The girl growls, tossing it, too, at the figure. The ice shatters with a flick of their hand as the girl runs back toward her blade, still yet planted into the ground.
The moment her hand touches it's grip, the ground beneath erupts with blindingly bright pale green light, collapsing in on itself. The girl falls, shouting as she descends, but is pushed back as rapid, forceful waves of pressure pulse upward at her. Suspended in the air, there is nothing she can do as her body is ravaged by each wave, slowly causing her to unevenly rising back, until one final, brutal wave slams up and throws the girl into the air.
She crashes down some distance away, bouncing across the dry land like a rock. The girl groans, huffing and puffing for a moment, before turning over onto her belly and makking an attempt to rise. Her arms shake, her breathing is labored. She lacks the strength.
The clang of metal and the searing of wind begets that selfsame dagger tossed directly at the girl's head. Her eyes widen as she stares it down, only for a moment. She heaves herself, very narrowly avoiding the blade as it wizzes past her head. Somewhere in the distance behind her, shrubbery shakes. Now laid out of her back and devoid of strength, the girl huffs and puffs. The figure comes, looming over her with glaring eyes. They raise their staff, tip poised at the girl's throat. She shuts her eyes.
The gentlest tap against her neck.
"...Better. Try screaming less?"
The girl scoffs, a smile creeping across her face.
"Like mother, like daughter."
"Your 'mother' speaks too much at all."
"She's just angry."
"Hm. Up, Emalia."
The girl - Emalia - grunts and groans as she turns over and staggeredly pushes herself to her feet. A warm, gentle glow illuminates from the figure's staff, washing over the area as though the sun had risen. Their hood falls to reveal a much, much older woman with spectrally buish-grey hair and eyes of purest black surrounding pink irises. She woman does not smile, not even smirk, yet her eyes hold no malice or contempt. They are... contented.
Emalia: Nyx! Fight me again, I can win this time!
Nyx stops, turning back in place. She raises a brow at the girl.
Nyx: Really? You believe yourself capable of fighting after that?
Emalia: I do. I need to get stronger, and- I can't do that by just giving up like this.
Nyx turns back and huffs. She continues forward, toward the large peninsula in the distance, pitch black against the night sky's speckled white.
Nyx: You will get your chance, girl, but not tonight. I will not beat down on a wounded child.
Emalia groans defeatedly. She drags her feet behind Nyx, abandoning her blade and dagger behind.
Focus on the mission... I need to be strong enough to kill a god. I need to get stronger...
For her.

What is a “Universal Offering/Devotional Act?”
Feel free to request or suggest deities! This list will be done in order but you can ask for me to complete one that’s further down the list.
This list is subject to change. There are probably repeat deities (deities who go by multiple names, parts of groups like the Horae or Charities who are mostly grouped together, etc.) on this list. Some deities are not on here. Some names are spelt wrong or different.

Protogenoi 8: Zeus’ Deity Daughters
With the six Olympian gods now in control of the earth, seas, and sky, Zeus and his wives and consorts produce many offspring with different powers and functions. On the following page we’ll examine the young Olympian offspring. But first, let’s look at Zeus powerful offspring deities.
Zeus and Themis, 1st wife and goddess of justice and law. Together they bear the Horai, three goddesses of seasons and natural order. Eunomia (good order and societal governance), Dike (justice), and Eriene (peace and prosperity). They also function as the guardians of the golden gates of Olympus. Hesiod also names their offspring sisters here as the Morai (fates), which he previously, and curiously, listed as being daughters of Nyx.
Zeus and Eurynome, sea goddess, give birth to the three Charites (Graces) Aglaia (Brightness) Euphrosyne (joyfulness) and Thalia (flowering); goddesses of grace, beauty, festivity, dance, and song. They become attendants of the goddess Aphrodite, and one marries Hephaistos (Olympian smith and fire god) and another marries Hypnos, god of sleep.
Zeus and Demeter bear Persephone; goddess of spring, and after being abducted by Hades, she becomes queen of the underworld. To see more detail on these characters please view my Demeter Olympian entry.
Zeus and Mnemosyne, goddess of memory, birth the nine Muses, gold crowned goddesses of creative arts who provide inspiration to mortals. They are named Cleio (history), Euterpe (lyric poetry), Thalia (comedy), Melpomene (tragedy), Terpsichore (choral song and dance), Erato (erotic poetry) , Polyhymnia (religious hymns) , Urania (astronomy) , and the leader, Calliope (Epic poetry). In my previous illustration for Hesiod, I portrayed the nine muses bestowing the poet a laurel staff; a symbol of poetic authority.

I want a sbg x pjo au SO BAD. But in my opinion.. NO ONE DOES IT RIGHT!!! (in my opinion don’t attack me)
but i want to read it not make it!!!
but here it is.. what I THINK the sbg kids cabins would be.. with explanations.
HEROES OF OLYMPUS SPOILERS??
I’ve debated about this for a while, talking to people in a discord server about it and shit like that. But in my opinion I feel like there are various routes you could take with this.
For example, say ashlyn or aiden are one of the MAIN characters. So a child of the big three. But I think they both do not fit Poseidon.
I feel like Ashlyn would be a child of Zeus, and Aiden would be a child of Hades. I don’t think I really need to explain why I think this, but wtv..
To sum it up, Zeus with Ashlyn because she took on the role as leader. And some more shit but wtv,
And Aiden as Hades because he’s edgy! /j
there’s more to it but I think you prob get my gist.
NOW TO ACTUAL HOUSES AND NOT BIG THREE!!!!
Ashlyn would be a child of Athena. I think everyone pretty much agrees with this. Her being the strategist while also being good at fighting. She make’s the groups plans and is the leader of the group. People rely on her, and her ideas.
(if this was an au I made, Ashlyn would be badass with a sword. idc what anyone says)
But I also feel like, Ashlyn gives off pretty roman vibes.
So I also feel like she’d be a daughter of Bellona. She’s very set on her plans. She’s mature (for her age, ofc she still has regular 14/15 year old feelings) and responsible. She’s responsible for her actions, good at fighting, mostly a rule follower, and a lot more.
So i’m very torn between Greek/Athena Ashlyn OR Roman/Bellona Ashlyn.
Aiden would be a child of Hermes.
Due to moving around a lot during his childhood links to Hermes being the God of travelers. As well as his speed and durability, a thing most travelers need. Also Aiden being mischievous also works with Hermes.
Ben would be a child of Apollo hands down.
The healing? Hello? He’s the groups designated healer. He healed Ashlyn, heals Aiden all the time, healed Tyler in the school, and also healed Logan. Or at least he tended to them wtv, SAME THING.
Also his love for music? Apollo being the god of music? it’s perfect guys i swear.
Logan would be a child of Demeter. Obviously because of his grandparents being florists, so maybe one of them is also a child of Demeter? Idk, anyways, he also has some ancestry to Urania, one of the nine muses, who is the patron to astronomy.
Now, the twins are tricky. They both have very distinct personalities and are completely different in the way they act. Tyler being standoffish, while Taylor being extremely friendly. And lots of other traits.
I feel like these two can fit under twos gods. So maybe either one of these.
I think they’re either Hephaestus kids, OR Aphrodite.
Hephaestus kids because Taylor is known for being in the robotics/mechanics club and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. Although she’s friendly to people and is an extrovert, I think she’d fit well be a Hephaestus kid. (similar to Leo maybe? except people like her… (sorry leo))
Now Tyler. I feel like he was the handyman of the house, which can be seen in that one panel of him fixing something. So I think he’d fit under that. And even if he didn’t tinker, I feel like he’d be the “mom” of the cabin and help other Hephaestus kids, like giving them tools and shit.
And then the twins being Aphrodite. I have no clue why but they kinda give off Aphrodite. They’re both popular and well liked, (even if Tyler doesn’t seem to like being popular…) they’re not pretty/handsome, and although Tyler has trouble regulating his emotions, I feel like he’d give pretty good emotional advice.
basically it for my sbg x pjo rambling… thanks for reading if you did :D

Reactions to Days Gone By, Days Yet to Come
Tumblr media
Here are my reactions and thoughts about the encore side story from Tales From The Dawn, which you can read HERE before proceeding under the cut. Beware: MAJOR Endwalker spoilers ahead! Keep in mind that I’ll be discussing my own headcanons with my Azem, so if you don’t care about that, feel free to move along.
So I want to just say that this was the absolute best side story they’ve ever written so far! And because it’s also the one that the community voted on, it makes it even more special. I’ve re-read it twice already and I’m so beyond happy to have read this. I’m still crying from reading it and processing it all. In fact, they gave us so many little details about all our favorite Ancients that I’m eating it up!!
First of all, I LOVE that this is all from Hyth’s POV. It’s fantastic. Anyways, next we get a detail about Azem talking to Hyth about the fourteenth in a series of concepts helping with travel, and I NEED to know more!! What is it?? I have many questions about this one thing in particular. Then we have a brief appearance from Byregot himself in the form of Hyth’s secretary trying to stop him from leaving but I giggled at the fact that Hyth just ignores him and goes to do his own thing. This has such gremlin energy that is so perfect for Hyth, but I also giggle at the fact that this is exactly what Urania would do as well. The sibling vibes are over the top here and I love it.
Then we get a huge lore drop that I wasn’t expecting at all: Mitron is a woman!! Which means that Mitron and Loghrif are both women and with the tons of hint drops we have throughout the canon, I’m here to say I’m celebrating the lesbians today! In my head this is Mitron x Loghrif as confirmed as a lesbian couple as we are ever going to get, and I’m soooooo happy.
Next we get another lore drop, this time with Lahabrea and Igeyorhm, and we have confirmation that they are cousins! This makes so much sense now, as we already knew about them working closely with one another and then they joined together in their fight against WoL in Azys La. I was never a Lahabrea x Igeyorhm shipper, so having them be cousins makes way more sense to me. Nice to see someone scolding Lahabrea for all of his Pandaemonium shenanigans.
Then we get Elidibus and I just know all the Elidibus shippers are screaming with joy. Whether you are a Themis x Erich or a Themis x WoL shipper, you’ve been fed, and I’m happy for you all.
Skipping over the part where I’ll blab about forever (ahem Hermes and his existential dread ahem), we get yet another Emet smile as Azem departs on their journey!! Ahhhhhhhh my heart!!! I am so full of emotions with how Hyth talks about Emet here, and in the parts following this scene. No matter if you read Hyth x Hades x Azem as platonic or romantic, or if you romantically ship only one part of them or none at all, you can just feel how deeply Hyth, Hades, and Azem all love each other. I can feel the love coming out of the words and it’s absolutely tragic and beautiful. Especially when you find out that Emet was the one holding out till the last minute to not summon Zodiark until they received word from Azem. God my heart just shattered right there.
And we also get confirmation that Azem left the convocation in order to find the cause of the Final Days and to stop it without the sacrifice to Zodiark. This was my headcanon and it’s probably a headcanon many of you shared, so to see this confirmed as canon sparks joy. It’s absolutely perfect for Urania, although with the new information about Emet trying to have the Convocation wait until they heard from Azem, I will have to reconsider her departure from Amaurot and her feelings towards Hades and Hermes now that we have this new information.
Another tiny piece of detail also confirmed a headcanon I’ve held for years: Hyth and Hades are childhood friends! I’m so happy to see this be confirmed as canon.
Alright, I think I’ve held off long enough. It’s time to talk about Hermes.
So, overall I’m so goddamn happy that we got to have more Hermes in this short scene. Every little bit of him I can get I will gladly take it. And I especially love that we are getting to see the man who lived through the Kairos mind wiping and what he was like after all of it went down. And yet… I feel completely devastated for him.
He looks like a wreck, he’s buried into his work, and he’s also deep in mourning with no one around to understand him. He thinks he has killed Meteion and says he “murdered her”, and it is so upsetting to see him like that. He also I believe is discovering the beginnings of the Final Days and I think he somehow knows that there’s something else wrong, something that he should know and doesn’t remember, and it’s tearing him up. But it’s even more tragic when Hyth mentions that he and everyone else talks about the Kairos incident and the “death of Meteion” as an “amusing anecdote”, and mentions that no one talks about familiars as people, so it truly shows how utterly alone Hermes really is. My heart broke when Hyth says that after the loss of Meteion, Hermes never made another flying creation ever again, and god I just want to cry.
I do like how Hyth is trying to be a friend and get Hermes to rest, and he’s doing what he thinks will help him. But even with Hyth’s caring soul, he just can’t understand what Hermes is going through. And it’s such a tragedy. It reinforces that even Azem couldn’t help Hermes in his time: it’s not until the WoL can offer the answer to Amon of “next time we will find the answers together” that he finds a true friend that understands him. And yet Amon is only the sundered reincarnation of Hermes, not Hermes himself. And I’m sobbing in my room on a Thursday morning over it all.
Now more than ever do I want to write more for Hermes. Not just in the tragic canonverse, but for the Modern AU that I have brainworms for, and quite possibly in a Happy Ending AU for him… with maybe Hali shipping with him??? It’s just a thought.
Anyways, I think I’ve rambled on long enough. If you’ve survived reading all of this, I commend you and thank you wholeheartedly for doing so! If you have any further questions for me about any of my reactions, feel free to send me an ask or a message!! 🥰💖

Hades: This is my wife Persephone and this is her primordial girlfriend Nyx and their olympian girlfriend Athena. Persephone is also with Minthe and Aphrodite. Aphrodite is married to Hephaestus and her boyfriend Ares. Aphrodite is also with Demeter, Hecate, and Nyx. Hecate is also with the fates Clotho Atropos, and Lachesis. Nyx is married to Gaia and is dating Erebus. That is my sister Hestia who is dating Circe and is with Agalia. My worker Thanatos is with Tisiphone, Alecto, and Megaera. Hypnos is Thanatos brother and is dating Hermes. Demeter son Dionysus is with Ariadne. My sister Hera is married to Zeus and dating Maia, Leto, and Metis. Letos son Apollo is with Ares. My favorite neice Athena is married to Artemis and Medusa and is with Medusa's sisters Stheno, and Euryale. Stheno, Medusa, and Euryale are with Arachne. My mother Rhea is with Gaia. Artemis is with Callisto. and finally Hebe is with the 9 muses Clio, Euterpe, Thalia, Melpomene, Terpsichore, Erato, Polyhymia, Urania, and Calliope. Demeter: Please do not have a stroke reading that

A Guide To The Utter Mess That Is The CJRP Hellenic Pantheon!
If you’re involved in the cjrp, you know that a majority of the blogs I run are based off of deities/figures in Ancient Greek Polytheism. The thing is, they’re very very loosely connected to the original myths. Like, very loosely connected. This is because, lore wise, ancient poets would change what truly happened when writing their epics (so the mythology we know today is wrong and was fabricated by the poets). The out-of-lore explanation is sticking strictly to the Hellenic myths would be impossible to do in an rp like this. I don’t even consider most of this a retelling because like. It’s not retelling stuff, it’s reshaping it. Anyways, this guide will be updated as time goes on so I will reblog it when it does! I put it under the cut because it’s looooong.
@calliope-splitintwo
Calliope: Originally the Muse of epic poetry, became a mermaid to escape duties since poets wouldn’t listen to her, died and was split into both a constellation and the goddess of deceit (killed Apate so she took her place upon death). Goddess of deceit Calliope was causing too many issues so Nyx turned Constellation Calliope into the new goddess of deceit. Was in love with Thetis and Fuse prior to death, slowly falling in love with them again after losing memories.
Nyx: Personification of the night, in love with Erebus, mother of Apate. Despises Calliope for murdering her daughter.
Erebus: Personification of darkness, in love with Nyx, father of Apate. Despises Calliope for murdering his daughter, less involved than Nyx.
Apate: Personification of deceit, daughter of Nyx and Erebus. Killed by Calliope.
Urania: Sister of Calliope, Muse of Astronomy. Despises Calliope after she abandoned her sisters to be a mermaid just because she couldn’t handle her job anymore (the rest of Calliope’s sisters, notably Erato and Clio, feel similarly). In love with Anteros.
Anteros: Lover of Urania, took the place of Aphrodite in the pantheon after her death.
@thetis-thegoddess
Thetis: One of the 50 Nereids, minor goddess of the ocean, mother of Achilles, grandmother of Pyrrhus, and unwilling bride of Peleus. Lived in solitude until she helped Calliope become a mermaid. Almost Constantly grieving something. In love with Calliope prior to death, slowly falling in love with her again.
Other 49 Nerieds: Sisters of Thetis. Thetis became distant from them due to isolating themselves and constant mourning. They’re still there for Thetis on some occasions.
@persephone-thegoddess
Persephone: After her abduction by Hades, her and her mother plotted their revenge and ended up killing him. Became the sole ruler of the underworld. Fell in love with Minthe, her second in command. Could not marry her because of Demeter’s fear of backlash from the rest of the pantheon. When Calliope (being forced by Nyx because Nyx wanted her son to marry Persephone) killed Minthe, Persephone disguised herself as Minthe and made the body look like herself so she could say that Persephone died and Minthe still lives. Only Hecate knows.
Minthe: Second in command to Persephone, as well as her lover. When Calliope killed her, her body was disguised as Persephone’s by Persephone herself.
Rigani: So Rigani is actually an original character, and he’s the brother of Minthe. Became second in command after “Persephone’s” (actually Minthe’s) death.
Demeter: Goddess of the harvest and agriculture, and mother of Persephone. Helped conspire with Persephone to kill Hades. Didn’t let Persephone marry Minthe upon fear of backlash from the rest of the Pantheon. Held off Persephone’s suitors so she could be with Minthe. Thinks Persephone died when in actuality it was Minthe.
Hecate: Goddess of liminality, crossroads, and witchcraft. Best friend of Demeter, and the only one that truly knows that Persephone is alive and Minthe died (because everyone else thinks it’s the other way around). Permanently changed Persephone’s form to look like Minthe so she could keep up the lie.
Incarnations & Other Characters
Bownes & Ribbons/Ribs (@bownes-anon & @ribbons-anon): Aphrodite incarnation. After Aphrodite killed Ares, Athena, and Hera in the Trojan war in a fit of rage, she was condemned by Zeus to constantly have to live life as a mortal over and over and over again, constantly being reincarnated. Before she died, she managed to kill Diomedes too. Each reincarnation rises out of the sea fully formed. Bownes was killed by the Athena incarnate Francesca after he turned the the Pallas incarnate Odessa into a flower in self defense. Ribs arose from the sea after his death. Neither are aware of their places as the Aphrodite incarnate. Bownes took in Iphigenia after she wandered into his home.
Francis/Francesca (@storybookdiner): Athena incarnate. Athena was killed (alongside Hera and Ares) during the Trojan war by Aphrodite. After coming back as Francesca, he made it his goal to get his sister back and kill the Aphrodite incarnate. He succeeded in killing Bownes at the cost of his sister. She can also shapeshifter into an owl.
Odessa (@storybookdiner): Pallas incarnate. Pallas was killed accidentally by Athena while they were sparring. Came back as Odessa. She worked alongside Francis, the Athena incarnate, in a bookshop/diner combo and helped her find the Aphrodite incarnate, Bownes. Was turned into a flower by Bownes.
Iphigenia (@iphigenia-thewronged): Daughter of the king and queen of Mycenae, Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. After her father offended Artemis, she was sacrificed by him for fair winds to Troy. She appeared in headspace after her death and was taken in by Bownes.
Euryale (@euryale-thegorgon): Gorgon sister of Medusa and Stheeno. Was killed by Tyrant and had her snake cut off. In of the snake became a young girl and took the same name as her once home, Euryale.

WoL Think Thonkers
#6 Who was their Azem? What were they like, and were they different from your WoL? Who were their family, friends? Or, if you don't care for the Azem angle or went in your own direction for their past self, how so? How does your WoL feel about their Ancient identity?
Tumblr media
Tsuna's Azem was Urania (yoor-ay-nee-a), named for one of the nine muses. She was the goddess of Astronomy and the stars.
I don't have much for her, actually. So as I ramble on in this post not all of it is set in stone.
Her personality was definitely something coquettish and coy. She's teasing, mysterious, and enjoys the quiet, hence her preoccupation with the stars. She embodies The Sun tarot of being optimistic and warm, which canonically has drawn others to her. There may be a motherly aspect to her to fit the 'abundance' trait.
No family of note, but outside of the convocation she worked heavily with Alkaios and Maira. Of the convocation, she got along best with Hythlodaeus (of course), probably had a complicated relationship with Hades (of course of course), and posssssssibly Themis was a love interest.
Hermes and her probably would have gotten along well as she shared his love for life and the stars, but he's a fucked up little guy and was shown to be cagey during his time in the convocation.
Tsuna was plagued by intermittent dreams of Urania ever since she was a child, not knowing why she dreamt of a life she had never known. There's not so much of a contempt for her, but definitely a feeling of being haunted by some manner of ghost.
I suppose the idea of reincarnation wouldn't be foreign to her as a Hingan, as i could see it being involved in their belief system in the same way Buddhism and Shintoism interact. Still, it would be a difficult pill to swallow for her as if there were expectations set for her before she was even born.
In relation to Emet-Selch, he only adds to the frustration by looking at her as if he knew her well before. Compound that with the contempt she feels for him only ruins her day more.
(Would love to see a scene of her confronting him about it but that would mean I'd have to write him... ewie.)

Sonic Storybook but it's Greek mythology. Which characters are which gods?
ask @birdsareblooming she's working on it but i'll do my best
and also NOT taking into consideration familial/romantic relationships bc hot damn:
ZEUS (sky, storms) – Sonic. i mean... lightning, "knight of the wind", all that jazz. Alt: Surge.
HERA (family, marriage) – very few sonic characters are married so we should focus on the family aspect. Vanilla, then. Alt: Aleena
POSEIDON (ocean) – logistically, Chaos, BUT there's also a greek god literally named Chaos so, well. Other answer, Marine or Kitsunami.
HADES (underworld) – obvs answer but probably Shadow
DEMETER (earth, harvest) – hmm... perhaps Mighty
ARES (war) – OMEGA. do i even have to? Alt: Amy
ATHENA (strategy, wisdom) – Knuckles is probably an unpopular opinion but i think he'd fit. otherwise, Blaze or Sally.
APOLLO (sun, poetry, healing) – Silver. He's got the desire to heal the future, and, well. Solaris
ARTEMIS (moon, the hunt) – Whisper. personally i think Artemis is aroace but the lesbian interpretation is p good too so! let's go
HEPHAESTUS (construction, invention) –Tails. obviously. alt: Wave, Eggman
APHRODITE (beauty, love) – Rouge, not bc of her looks but bc of her love of pretty things. Alt: Breezie
HERMES (messengers, thieves) – probably bokkun let's say Charmy. Alt: Ray, Omochao, Rouge
DIONYSUS (drunk ppl and theatre kids) – Vector would be really funny lol
HESTIA (the hearth, home) – Blaze
PERSEPHONE (spring) – YOU KNOW IT'S COSMO. YOU KNOW
IRIS (rainbows, light) – Tikal
HYPNOS (sleep) – Big
NEMESIS (justice) – Espio.
NIKE (victory) – Jet. that hypercompetitive bitch? yea. Alt: Honey.
HEBE (youth) – Cream, w/ bonus Cheese lol
TYCHE (luck) – Tangle. i dont have a reason just the vibe
HECATE (magic) – AMY. absolutely Amy. alt: Nicole, Merlina, Ebony, or Infinite if u wanna go dark.
PAN (the wild) – STICKS.
BOREAS (north wind, winter) – Dulcy. she breaths ice y'all
ZEPHYRUS (west wind, spring)– Bean the Dynamite. he seems like the type to accidentally kill a guy he had a crush on
NOTUS (south wind, summer) – Wave
EURUS (east wind, autumn) – Storm, Eurus is seen as a Storm god
and then the muses:
CALLIOPE (epic poetry) – Aleena. Alt: Elise
CLIO (history) – Gold the Tenrec
ERATO (lyric + love poetry) – Mina Mongoose cause why not. Elise is also an alt for her, also Breezie.
EUTERPE (music) – Sonia
MEPLOMENE (tragedy) – Void (Sonic Shuffle)
POLYHYMNIA (sacred poetry) – Coral the Betta
TERPSICHORE (dance, choral music) – not a lot of sonic characters are dance-based– however, Manic could work, he's musical and quick lol
THALIA (comedy) – Lumina (Sonic Shuffle)– gotta match her twin
URANIA (astrology) – Amy would fit good here too lol, but I think we should go with Maria/Merlina.
and OBVIOUSLY Kronos is Mephiles like who are we kiddin

Character ask: The Muses (Disney's Hercules)
Tumblr media
Favorite thing about them: The great songs they sing.
Least favorite thing about them: Well, they're not the most developed characters.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I like to sing.
*I have dark hair.
*Like Thalia, I'm heavyset.
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm not a goddess.
*I'm not very good at singing gospel music.
*I don't wear dresses that show off my legs.
Favorite line:
The lyrics to "Zero to Hero" and their lines in "I Won't Say I'm in Love"
brOTP: Each other. In crossover-land, I might also like to see them meet Crystal, Ronette, and Chiffon from Little Shop of Horrors, since they're clearly Expies of those three, and not by coincidence since they share Alan Menken as a composer.
OTP: None to speak of.
nOTP: Hades, Pain, or Panic.
Random headcanon: The other four muses from Greek mythology do exist in the Disney-verse, they just didn't join the group for the story of Hercules because their art forms didn't suit it. To clarify, the five who appear in the movie are Calliope (muse of epic poetry), Thalia (muse of comedy), Melpomene (muse of tragedy), Clio (muse of history), and Terpsichore (muse of dance) – all of their arts are present onscreen. Euterpe (muse of lyric poetry), Polyhymnia (muse of hymns), Erato (muse of erotic poetry), and Urania (muse of astronomy) didn't quite suit the tone they were aiming for, so they chose, or possibly were asked, to sit it out.
Unpopular opinion: I don't think I have one.
Song I associate with them:
"The Gospel Truth"
youtube
"Zero to Hero"
youtube
"I Won't Say I'm in Love"
youtube
"A Star is Born"
youtube
Favorite picture of them:
