Videos and propaganda under the cut!
PeopleMover: WDW Magic Kingdom, Disneyland(1967-1995)
Propaganda:
"it's the fucking peoplemover"
"Disneyland wants her back, so she has to have SOME game"
"ok but this ride is literally sooooooo cool, it goes *through* the other tomorrowland rides and you get to learn about them! also its a great place to sit down and cool off for a few minutes while still doing something"
"Well... It's like a train, but cooler, and blue and you can watch Tomorrowland and just _chillll_. And the entrance is a travellator?!? I mean come on. It is a tranquil space of theoretical public transportation. To me, it is heaven."
youtube
Voyage of the Little Mermaid: WDW Hollywood Studios(1992-2020)
Propaganda:
"It was such a fun show and the effects were SO 90s and amazing and made you feel like you were under the water. and the Ursula was freaking HUGE, i mean, MASSIVE. It closed quietly, never reopening after COVID cause of a FREAKING MOLD INFESTATION D: Tragic, no one got to say goodbye :( "

Dark Magic Kingdom au info
AU where the Disney parks funded and had their Imagineers develop a series of highly advanced walkabout animatronics to allow guests to more authentically meet their favorite characters. Inspired by @disney-android-foundation ‘s AU and the concepts behind the disney parks kinect game and the mobile game Disney Magic Kingdoms
Since I have the ability to envision the company as not a totally soulless corporation in this AU, this implementation didn’t result in all character and mascot actors getting fired. They’re now either on the repair teams, understudies (to take the place of an animatronic if it breaks down) or character handlers (the folks who keep an eye on the animatronics and make sure they A. aren’t left to just break down somewhere, B. don’t wander farther than they’re supposed to, and C. don’t cause trouble for the guests) Character handlers also sometimes have to break up character fights or arguments because they’re all programmed to act and interact with each other very authentically.
However the animatronics were built with Asimov’s first law in mind, so unless something goes REALLY wrong, they’re incapable of intentionally causing physical harm to humans. Some of them will definitely yell at your kids though.
This AU is centered around the villains but there’s hero characters too (princes, princesses, mascots, supporting characters, etc), and I would be happy to talk about them as well if requested.
I’m mostly covering Disney animated movies, but also Pixar films, spin-off cartoons of both, stuff based on the rides (PotC, Haunted Mansion mostly), and Star Wars stuff (though mostly prequel era content because that’s my main area of interest and expertise). I’m not really going to cover Marvel stuff, sorry, I’m just not a big enough MCU nerd. Block criteria is at the bottom (I don't expect everyone to read it, it's just there for like. My stance on things I think matter and an explanation as to if anyone gets blocked and doesn't get why)
Villains and their home sections
Magic Kingdom
Fantasyland
Grimhilde/The Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves)
Maleficent and Diablo (Sleeping Beauty)
Ursula (The Little Mermaid)
Madam Mim (The Sword in the Stone)
The Horned King, Gwythaints and Creeper (The Black Cauldron) / Character Handler: Carys
The Queen of Hearts (and the king) (Alice in Wonderland)
Hades (Hercules)
Gaston (Beauty and the Beast)
(Gaston can also be found roaming Animal Kingdom)
Adventureland
Captain Hook (Peter Pan)
Jafar (Aladdin)
Mozenrath (Aladdin the animated series)
Yzma and Kronk (The Emperor's New Groove)
Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribbean)
Helga Sinclair (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
Clayton (Tarzan)
Tamatoa (Moana)
(Clayton can also sometimes be found roaming Animal Kingdom)
(Because Tamatoa’s so huge, he’s mostly stuck in his meet and greet area)
Liberty Square
Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog)
Oogie Boogie (The Nightmare Before Christmas) / Character Handler: Sam
The Headless Horseman (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow)
(Oogie has a casino-themed restaurant here, he roams the whole park in the Fall but stays here the rest of the year)
(The Horseman also shows up in Main Street, USA and sometimes Frontierland. He's a night-only character and sometimes even chases the Disney Railway trains, which the guests love. Both he and his horse are animatronics because you are not going to get a live horse to do tricks like that. He leads the Halloween parades also)
Main Street, USA
Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmatians)
Professor Ratigan, Fidget and Felicia (The Great Mouse Detective)
(I know they're British, I didn't really have anywhere better to fit them and Main Street's based on Colonial America anyway)
(Cruella can also sometimes be found roaming Animal Kingdom)
Tomorrowland
John Silver (Treasure Planet)
Scroop (Treasure Planet)
Doris (Meet the Robinsons)
AUTO (WALL-E)
NOS-4-A2 (Buzz Lightyear of Star Command) / Character Handler: Carmen
XL (Buzz Lightyear of Star Command) / Character Handler: Roxie
Evil Emperor Zurg (Toy Story)
Randall Boggs (Monsters Inc.)
(In my heart there's a Treasure Planet dark ride in Tomorrowland 😔)
(AUTO's pretty much confined to his meet and greet area, maybe it's inside a restaurant or something. I'm not sure yet)
(Zurg is based on his personality in the Star Command series rather than the one he has in Toy Story)
Animal Kingdom
(and either California Adventure or Adventureland in Disneyland)
Africa
Scar (The Lion King)
Zira (The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride)
Shenzi (The Lion King)
(Shenzi's hyena buddies are also around but she's the one that interacts with guests the most)
Discovery Island
Bruce (Finding Nemo)
(Bruce's shark buddies are also around, but he's the one that interacts with guests the most. They're all confined to the water)
Asia
Shere Khan (The Jungle Book)
Kaa (The Jungle Book)
Star Wars Galaxy's Edge
Darth Maul
Asajj Ventress
General Grievous
Count Dooku
Cad Bane
Hondo Ohnaka
Darth Vader
Various battle droid types (B1, Commando, MagnaGuard and Droideka)
I can attempt other characters not on this list also.
Block criteria
I don't have the time or patience to thoroughly vet everyone who interacts with my posts and I make it a rule to never publicly call out anyone blocked, but if I see you being like openly racist or ableist or some shit like that it's a block (probably a report too for hate speech). If I see you being hateful of any part of the queer community, that's a block. (Transphobia, homo/lesbophobia, biphobia, exclusionism against nonbinary/aspec/pan/"weird" labels and genders, take your pick, it's all banned)
I'm pro-choice and also antivaxxers would do well to avoid me because I am autistic and proud, I'm not gonna have you around spreading lies and treating me and people like me as though we're a fate worse than death.
Because I'm autistic and proud, folks who I see calling people having fun and being themselves "cringe" get a block too. Basically if you're pro-bullying or think bullying is okay if the target's "weird" or fat or whatever.
I do not want to be dragged into discourse, please don't come to me asking me my stance on the discourse of the week. If I haven't made my stance clear I either don't care or don't have enough info to feel confident taking a side. Or I'm actively choosing to stay out of the drama.
I generally will not block over ships or written/drawn fiction unless it ends up making me super incredibly uncomfortable. If that happens, please don't take it personally. I can't really predict what will and won't upset me really bad, but I won't call you out. If I see you suicide-baiting someone over written/drawn fiction/a ship that's a block, though. There's no reason to get like that over your uncomfortableness. If I think you might be an actual threat and not just someone with a ship I dislike, I'll just quietly block and report. No drama, no callouts.
If you think there's anything inherently morally wrong with being a furry, being a monster lover, liking villains, or selfshipping, you might as well block me because I'm shamelessly pro all of those.

Britt Robertson in Tomorrowland (Brad Bird, 2015)
Cast: George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Chris Bauer. Screenplay: Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird, Jeff Jensen. Cinematography: Claudio Miranda. Production design: Scott Chambliss. Film editing: Walter Murch, Craig Wood. Music: Michael Giacchino.
A critical and commercial flop, Tomorrowland is a little too much a film for kids to satisfy sci-fi geeks, and a little too heavy on the sci-fi to hold the attention of kids. It has a few good things going for it: the presence of George Clooney and Hugh Laurie in its cast, and nice performances from two young actors, Britt Robertson as Casey and Raffey Cassidy as Athena. (It's particularly good to see a sci-fi movie for kids with girls as the protagonists.) Unfortunately, the screenplay by director Bird and Damon Lindelof, with contributions to the story from Jeff Jensen, is dauntingly overcomplicated and more than a little preachy. The premise is that somewhere after the 1964 New York World's Fair, with its glittering images of the future, our culture took a turn toward pessimism. We no longer believe that we can progress toward a more equitable society or that we can solve environmental problems with collective application of science and technology, and this pessimism creates a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. Those of us who were old enough in 1964, after the Kennedy assassination and at the beginning of the Vietnam War, may remember the mood a little more darkly than the film posits. But even granted the premise, it seems unlikely that our contemporary malaise is going to be lightened by launching into another dimension a cyberpunk spaceship designed by Gustave Eiffel, Jules Verne, Nikola Tesla, and Thomas Edison. Keegan-Michael Key has an amusing bit as the proprietor of a sci-fi memorabilia shop who says his name is Hugo Gernsback, an in-joke for science fiction fans. (His partner, played by Kathryn Hahn, is named Ursula. As in Le Guin, perhaps?)  The special effects are elaborately routine CGI stuff.

Torre de Babel (Ursula x reader)
Tumblr media
a/n: This was part of a preference, but I got carried away and it ended up being too long for that.
🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄
Having a robot girlfriend was great! You were never bored, either by her constant strange but cute behaviors, or by her insane and terribly adorable questions. There were times when she was a strong, intimidating, and honestly sexy woman. And others where she was so confused by humans, like a little girl that was discovering the world around her. And you loved her for it.
And so you let her know. One day you simply told her that you loved her, without giving it much thought. It was one of those days when you forgot her nature. The poor woman spent the whole morning trying to understand it.
Yes, she knew the connotation of the word, she knew the etymology, the meaning of it. But she had no idea what feeling it was reflecting. She didn't know how she was supposed to feel loving someone. And that scared her.
Ursula knew that love was something important to humans, and she didn't want to fail you, she didn't want you to think that you weren't important to her, but she also didn't want to lie to you and say those same words if she really didn't know how they should feel. So she decided to do some research and take notes on the couples who visited the store.
But it didn't really help her understand it much. So she did what she always did when she didn't understand something: ask you for help.
Her perfect opportunity was when her arm was injured from carrying a box too heavy even for her, and you had to take her to the back of the store to repair it. She loved these moments, because you were so caring and sweet, and she felt you so close to her. It made her feel special.
"Human?"
"Yes, Sulie?"
"This morning...you said something that I didn't understand and I can't find a good answer...can you help me?"
You smiled and kissed her forehead quickly before promising to do your best.
"What is it now, Sulie?"
"You said you loved me" she said simply "I don't understand the whole concept of love...I want to do it"
You were silent for a moment, trying to find the right words. How do you even describe love?
"Well...it feels...it feels like something connects, like you've found something you didn't know you were looking for"
Your girlfriend looked at you confused and you sighed. It was difficult to explain, but it was important. There had to be something you could use to explain it. You looked at the arm under repair and then you smiled.
"Do you remember when you asked me to be your girlfriend? You said there was something in me that confused your circuits, something that was not in your programming, but that felt good"
Ursula nodded, not knowing where you wanted to go.
"Well, love is like that. It's looking for hands to hold yours in the middle of the night, for a heart that, even if it is made of metal, among so many languages, understands mine"
The woman seemed to think about it for a moment. She knew you made her feel special, she knew you cared for her. She loved when you held her hand and took the time to explain everything to her. She loved that even when she wasn't human, you could understand her like no one else.
"Human?"
"Yes?"
"I think -...No, I'm sure...now I am" she smiled at you "I love you"

favorite of the four wdw parks - epcot
least favorite of the four wdw parks - animal kingdom

favorite holiday overlay - the only holiday overlay i’ve been on is haunted mansion holiday but i don’t love it
favorite disney memory - i have so many i don’t know how you expect me to choose but a good memory from my last trip to wdw was when me and my little sister were just SO excited about our first day in the park early in the morning that my mom got annoyed with us and gave us a few dollars to go down to the hotel arcade and we just talked about all the things we were going to do and also i think we broke the air hockey machine
attraction everyone loves that you hate - i don’t care for the country bear jamboree
attraction everyone hates that you love - i like frozen ever after i never had that much attachment to maelstrom

Tokyo Disneyland Development New Details Unveiled for Tokyo Disneyland Expansion Opening on April 15, 2020
URAYASU, CHIBA — Oriental Land Co., Ltd. has announced new details for the expansions coming to Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland on April 15, 2020, as part of the largest expansion since Tokyo Disneyland® Park opened. The details include descriptions of attractions, theater entertainment, merchandise and menus that will allow guests to feel like they have entered a Disney film as they meet their favorite Disney Characters and listen to well-known music. This new experience will immerse guests in the world of Disney like never before.
The additions to Fantasyland will bring Disney’s Beauty and the Beast film to life through the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction, shops and food facilities. Also in the new area will be Fantasyland Forest Theatre, an indoor theater featuring performances of the new show “Mickey’s Magical Music World.”
Tomorrowland will see the opening of The Happy Ride with Baymax attraction and a shop specializing in popcorn. Toontown will see the addition of a new Disney Character greeting facility called Minnie’s Style Studio.
Fantasyland
New area themed to Disney’s Beauty and the Beast This area stretches from the village where Belle lives to the forest where the Beast’s castle is secluded. At the entrance to the village is the home of Belle’s father: Maurice’s Cottage (Disney FASTPASS® machines are located here). Inspired by the film, a fountain dedicated to Gaston can be found at the center of the village. La Taverne de Gaston restaurant and Village Shoppes, including one themed to the bookstore that Belle frequents, line the street. With music from the film playing, guests will feel as though they have stepped right into Belle’s world. Leaving the village behind, guests enter the forest where Beauty and the Beast Castle looms. Inside the castle, guests can experience Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction.
Exterior of Beauty and the Beast Castle
ATTRACTION Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast Rising to a height of nearly 30 meters, Beauty and the Beast Castle houses the major attraction, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. Guests board magical cups that “dance” in rhythm to the animated film’s well-known music as they take guests through scenes depicting the story of Belle and the Beast.
Guests step into the Beast’s castle located deep in the forest to experience the “enchanted tale.” In the first scene, the beautiful Belle encounters a prince who has been transformed into a beast by a powerful enchantress.
Aboard enchanted cups that move and turn as if they are alive, guests travel through various scenes to experience the world of the film. There’s the banquet where they “dance” together with the dishes and cutlery to Lumiere’s singing; the snow-covered garden where they glide over the ice as Belle and the Beast find themselves growing closer. The castle is filled with magical moments and surprises, so guests will discover something new each time they visit.
Will Belle and the Beast find love and thus break the spell before the last petal of the enchanted rose falls? Guests can look forward to the magical romance of Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast.

Interior of Village Shoppes
SHOPS Village Shoppes Inspired by the shops in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and filled with ornamentation and other details created by the artisans of the little village where Belle lives, Village Shoppes consists of La Belle Librairie, Little Town Traders and Bonjour Gifts. This trio of shops provides a delightful, one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
La Belle Librairie is designed like the bookshop that Belle visits in the film. Guests may recognize many details from the film, including the rolling ladder to reach books on the high shelves and Belle’s favorite book. Little Town Traders is the shop where village craftspeople sell their wares. Guests will find hand-made toys, candlesticks and dishware decorating the shop.
Bonjour Gifts is themed as the shop of the village’s talented clothier and hatmaker. Guests will find dresses and the clothier’s tools in the shop.

Interior of La Taverne de Gaston
FOOD FACILITIES Restaurant: La Taverne de Gaston
Seating around 200 guests, this counter service restaurant is styled after the tavern in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
The interior of the tavern proudly displays trophies celebrating Gaston’s many accomplishments. There’s even the large portrait of Gaston above the fireplace as seen in the film.
This restaurant serves hearty fare themed to Gaston. Guests can enjoy the ambience of the Disney film while enjoying a sausage in a croissant, a sweet-and-savory French toast sandwich with cheese, or a soft drink version of Gaston’s favorite brew.
Note: Sets include French Fries and Soft Drink.
LeFou’s Churro (Apple-Caramel) 400 yen each
Restaurant: LeFou’s
Opening next door to La Taverne de Gaston will be LeFou’s, a small snack shop named after Gaston’s sidekick. Served here will be apple-caramel churros, a new flavor for Tokyo Disneyland.
Popcorn Wagon: Le Petit Popper This little popcorn wagon in village where Belle lives serves up freshly popped corn. Note: Menu items are subject to change without notice and only available while supplies last.
Fantasyland Forest Theatre
ENTERTAINMENT VENUE Fantasyland Forest Theatre Deep in Fantasyland, in a fairytale setting, lies the immersive Fantasyland Forest Theatre. This is the first indoor theater at Tokyo Disneyland.
With half-timbers, tree forms and pillars, both the exterior and interior design of this theater were inspired by the forest. The chandeliers, which appear to use candles, are rustic as well. The theater is decorated with beautiful tapestries and murals which celebrate the forest and the woodland creatures from Disney animation. Presented here will be the musical “Mickey’s Magical Music World.”

King Louie and others from The Jungle Book together with Timon from The Lion King put on a powerful jungle-style performance. a/n: I'm in love with this robot and I'd do anything for her
💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
You sighed as your brother started to sing that stupid song again! You knew you should be happy for him, but it was so annoying to hear him singing it all day, especially when you...when you couldn’t.
In a world where people can hear a special song that connects them to their soulmates, you haven’t been able to find yours. You asked your brother how it was, what were you supposed to feel or hear. He said it was like hearing a voice in your head that made your heart race.
You didn’t know what that meant but you appreciated the help...for small it was.
You started to feel a little desperate when your brother heard his song and started to sing it at all times. It was a cute song and you knew his soulmate was singing it too, even if he was the only one who could hear it. But still, it hurted that you haven’t heard yours.
After a while, you started to think you didn’t have any soulmate after all. It was rare, but there were stories about people whose souls were already full and didn’t need their other half. It didn’t feel like that to you, you felt like there was something missing, but since you couldn’t hear your song, you were worried you might be one of those few people.
________________
You groaned when your friend Janice started to put her strange medical things on your chest. She had told you what their name were, but you really couldn’t care less. It was enough that you were still accepting to be her fake patiente when she had medical practice for her school.
“Y/N…” Janice said and you didn’t like her tone.
Usually, you were just there for her practice and she would praise you about how healthy you were. But this was the first time she asked to do an electrocard-... electrocardi...whatehever the fuck they did to check your heart. You were sure it was fine...but her tone and facial expression were making you nervous.
“What? Is my heart too small? Does it have ice?” you joked
“It’s your heartbeat” she whispered.
“What about it?”
“Remember that class I took about code morse?” she asked suddenly. You frowned, totally confused, but nodded. “Y/N...I- I think your heart is...There’s a name in code morse on your heartbeat” she said quickly.
You blinked and didn’t say anything for a moment. You were sure you passed out at some point.
________________
Ursula Gernsback.
You read the paper on your hand for the fifth time, wanting to be absolutely sure this was the right address. It was hard to find who the fuck this woman was, and you doubted she’d be able to give you answers. But you needed to know why her name was in your heart...literally.
“Well...at least this seems to be a cool place” you thought, as you entered the store.
_________________
You didn’t know what you were expecting. Maybe some fireworks, or a heavenly light from the sky, or perhaps that damned song. But instead, you got red cheeks and a tangled tongue as you looked at the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen.
“Can I help you?” the woman in front of you asked. Her eyes kept roaming your body, as if she tried to find something specific.
“I- uh...are you” you stuttered. You cursed yourself as she raised an eyebrow before you cleared your throat “I apologize if this is weird, ma’ am, but...Are you Ursula Gernsback, by any chance?” you asked.
The woman blinked and frowned. You were afraid of her reaction and only then you thought about the fact that you didn’t have a plan. What were you going to do? Say “Hey! I don’t have any idea of who the hell you are and you don’t know who the fuck am I, but I have your name on my heart in code morse, do you think you know why?” God, you would be lucky if she didn’t call the police.
“I am” she said after a moment “And you are?”
“Oh, uhm...I’m Y/N Y/L/N” you smiled.
The woman’s face changed suddenly and before you knew it, she was taking your hand and dragging you to the back of the store. What the hell did you get yourself into?”
_______________
“Wait, wait, wait” you said for the millionth time “Let’s go back to the part where you are a robot”
“Let’s go back to the part where you’re not” she answered and you sighed.
In the five hours you had been in the store cellar, there have been a lot of questions and few answers. For both of you. Ursula was so confused (and almost angry, which was scary) for the fact that you weren’t a robot as she thought (which had been the reason she showed you her true self without second thought, to your horror), and even more so for the fact that it didn’t make any sense.
She believed you when you told her you found her because her name was in you, because she herself had been listening to it. You had been calling her name all this time, and she listened, but never knew how to find you, no matter how many times she looked up in her system.
And now, you were here, afraid, alone, confused and so...so human. It didn’t make any sense!!! Why would a human be able to use code morse with her heart and why would you be calling her if you didn’t know her?
“Ursula?” you asked softly
“Shhhh, let me think, human” she said. But you had an idea...or perhaps a hope.
“Do you robots...do you have a soul?” you asked.
“What?” she blinked
“Do you have a soul?” you asked again “I- I don’t know if I’m crossing a line here, but...I’m sure you have heard about soulmates?”
“The songs you humans like to sing all the time?” she frowned.
“No...well-” you sighed “the songs are the way to find your soulmate, the soulmate itself is...I don’t know. I’ve heard it is a person who compliments you, a person you’re supposed to spend your life with...your other half”
“And what does it have to do with us?” she asked
“I-...I’ve never been able to hear my song” you admitted “And I’ve been trying to all my life”
“And you’re telling me this, because?”
You sighed. She had told you that human behaviour was still strange to her and she didn’t understand some things, which was cute for you, but you really needed her to be on the same page as you in this.
“Because I think we might be soulmates” you blushed as you said it.
The woman frowned again and she did look adorable and cute, but you wanted to smack your head against the wall at that moment.
“Think about it! I’m a human who could never hear the song. You’re a robot who could never find the origin of the call...But your name’s in my heart and mine’s in your code...what if it is because we’re soulmates, but since you’re a robot...rules are different for us?”
She looked at you for a moment before she looked down. You could see her thinking about it, so you stayed quiet until she looked up again. You didn’t want to admit it, but these hours felt...special to you. As if you had found something important, something you never knew you needed. If she wasn’t your soulmate, she was totally your crush.
“I don’t know” she said suddenly
“what?”
“You asked me if I had a soul” she said, stepping closer to you. Her beautiful eyes stared at yours, as if she was looking for something again “I don’t know if I have one”
You felt your heart breaking, but didn’t say anything. She took your chin carefully and lifted your head to make you look at her again. Her touch was soft and warm and her scent felt like home...all of her, felt like home. The woman caressed your cheek with her thumb and it made you tremble.
“I don’t know if I have a soul or not” she said “but if I do...I’d like it to belong to you, little human”
