The octagon line is a translation problem? Really?

in the original japanese version of the game, the octagon is still called the octagon. like in english. so it’s like someone asking “hey what’s a cuadrado?”

english isn’t exactly hajime’s first language, so he’s probably not gonna be able to make that translation on the spot. plus, i think the japanese word for an 8 sided shape is 八角形 / hachikakukei. not exactly close to octagon, y’know? it’s kind of a hard connection tbh
