Hi y’all, WELCOME BACK!!!!!
ETA: for some reason, mobile seems to be murdering links today, so my links to the rest of the screen time might not be working for you. I’m working on fixing it, but I’m not sure how it’ll go since everyone’s been reblogging it w the bad links. In case of emergency, there’s a link in the bio of my blog to all screen time, so if you want to find something, you should be able to find it or another working link to it there! Thanks so much to everyone for their patience 😊
I can’t tell you how happy I am to finally be able to be posting screen time stuff for y’all again! I really missed taking new data, I will openly admit.
Comments from me to you!
Despite Maddie having such low time in both episodes, she’s actually still sitting at a higher total than any of the regulars! (Okay to be fair, it’s BARELY. But I’m counting it 😂) She’s already falling way behind everyone else though, so honestly, I’m expecting to see her fall in a weird category all on her own at the end of the season, where she’s clearly not a regular, since she should get lots more towards the end of the season, but this beginning will hurt her total so it should be a p. visible difference from the other mains.
I cannot. express how much screen time the freaking alpaca call was. The way it was shot, it almost ALL counted for Bobby and/or Hen, which is SUPER rare for a call, and that plus Hen’s talk w Chim and Bobby & the heart pushed them up over Eddie.
Re: why Hen is above Eddie for ep 2 even though they got the same amount of time. Bc well, they actually didn’t! I round to the nearest 15s just to make the data nicer and easier to look at, but I keep exact records of what time everyone actually got, and when making graphics, I put whomever had more time in reality over the other. In this case, Hen actually had 4:22 and Eddie had 4:12, so she won the race!
Honestly at this point, I’m expecting Athena to lead the third episode as well, just based on where the plot seems to be heading. Assuming I’m right, I’ll have a little more to say on it at that point in terms of the effects on the season’s screen time, I just don’t want to get into it now in case I’m wrong 😂 I’m hoping Bobby will be up there again though, esp after last season when he got a lot less.
Small note regarding the future for May - while it’s been confirmed that May is going to take over the role of “the face of dispatch” until Maddie is back, I am still not going to add her to the mains chart - her calls so far have been much shorter than a typical call for Maddie would be, so she’s still getting “regular” treatment rather than “main” treatment. Last season she had some pretty big episodes and stories, and it still wasn’t more than 18m total, and I expect to see that sort of trend continue, just either more evenly spread out over the season than in s4, or really front heavy and then a lot less when JLH is back. So I don’t want to add her to the charts and then have to remove her later.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions at all, my inbox is open to you, and see you sometime next week for the ep 3 graphic otherwise since I should be able to keep up with a regular schedule now 😊
Lots of love!
