study tips for age regressors~
🍼 use fun highlighters and pens! whether they’re pastel or bold, pick your favorite colors!
🦄 listen to an agere friendly instrumental playlist! there are some great ones on youtube and spotify!
🍼 give yourself a small treat (such as a piece of your favorite candy, for example!) for finishing a chapter or other small activity, such as answering a certain amount of questions!
🦄 if you go to school on a campus, it’s perfectly okay to bring a stuffie with you! as long as it doesn’t go against your syllabus, disturb your classmates, your teacher/professor, or yourself, i’d say it’s perfectly okay!
🍼pretend your stuffie is learning the subject too! make flash cards and quiz yourself and your stuffies for fun!
🦄 if you have a lot of reading to do, try reading it to your stuffies! make sure to try to absorb the information as you read it aloud!
🍼 use stickers in your notebooks and planners!
🦄 use cute stationary and notebooks!!
🍼 wear a chewable necklace! i know they make these for small children who are teething, but there are ones available made for grownup teeth that look like actual jewelry! they’re very handy ( ◠‿◠ )
🦄 buy cute erasers in the shapes of cute animals, such as pandas or dinosaurs, and play with them! (make sure to stay focused on learning though!)
🍼 don’t be afraid to ask your teachers or classmates questions if you need to! there are no silly questions, and i know it can feel embarrassing, but anyone who gives you a hard time for trying your best to learn isn’t worth your time anyways!
🦄 write little notes to yourself on sticky notes or in the margins of your notebooks! positive affirmations are great; if you have something that you’re nervous about coming up (such as en exam) you could write something like “i will do well on my exam!!” and let them motivate you!
good luck with your studies everyone! i know school can be difficult, but you can do it! just take it one day at a time, and one assignment at a time, and try to keep telling yourself you can do it, because you absolutely, 100% can 💕

If you go out and protest:
LEAVE YOUR PHONE AND SMART WATCH HOME. These devices can track your location. Discuss meeting places and stuff beforehand, preferably face to face or only by encrypted means.
DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS/VIDEOS, this can put people in danger.
Bring easy to transport snacks, water, any meds you need and first-aid kits.
If it’s very hot weather, bring drinks like Gatorade that replenish electrolytes.
Don’t forget sunscreen.
Wear nondescript clothes that don’t have giant logos or memorable images or patterns on them. This includes shoes and socks. Look as boring and plain as possible.
The same applies to your COVID mask, keep it plain or buy some you’ll only wear when protesting.
If you have identifiable piercings, take them out and put in a spacer if you can’t leave it out, or put in jewelry you can afford to discard afterward.
Cover up tattoos.
Take off your nail polish or paint your nails a neutral color. You don’t want somebody identifying you via your Hello Kitty nail art on Facebook.
If your hair is dyed an unnatural color, is very long or styled distinctly (ie locs, braids, fades, etc), find a way to cover your head and hide your hair.
Get cheap sunglasses and ONLY wear them to protests, nowhere else.
If you use mobility aids and they have distinct stickers, find temporary ways to cover them up. Remove spoke covers from wheelchair wheels or buy ones that only go on your wheels during protests and nowhere else.
The goal is to be as nondescript as possible and not stand out much from a crowd if some goofball forgets the no pictures/video rules.
Other advice:
Tear gas canisters are hot, you’ll need thick gloves if it’s necessary to handle one to throw it away from you or a group.
Make sure you or someone in your group is trained in first aid.
If you have a seizure disorder like epilepsy, make sure the people in your group know the right seizure first aid for the types of seizures you have. Make sure they know where your rescue meds are if they have to give them to you during an aura to stop it from progressing. Make sure there’s an escape route they can take you through after a seizure.
Diabetic people, make sure you or someone with you knows how to administer emergency insulin, sugar, or can adjust your pump if something happens to it.
Carry whatever tools you need to repair something like a wheelchair if it gets damaged.
Canes may be broken or damaged, so bring one you can afford to lose. (I know that may be very difficult!)
Blind long cane users should carry extra cane tips and perhaps even an extra folding cane in case the one you’re using is damaged or broken.
Make sure someone in your group that you trust can wrangle service animals and take care of them for you if you’re detained.
Autistic people with sensory issues, make sure any ear defenders and stim toys you bring are as plain and nondescript as possible. A black chewable necklace is going to blend in with black clothes. Try not to have toys that are bright colored if you can avoid it. Bring stim toys you don’t care about losing, because they might get lost.
If the cops come for any of you, ask “am I being detained?” and ask for a lawyer. After that, give them nothing. That means shut up!

3 Ways to Prevent or Ease Out of a Panic Attack - REAL TALK
Originally posted to www.onlyfunthings.org on March 19, 2018
Tumblr media
Ciao lovelies! Today’s post is mental health centered- 3 Ways to prevent/ease out of a panic attack.
DISCLAIMER- I am not a mental health professional. These tips come from my own personal experiences with anxiety and panic attacks. If you have frequent panic/anxiety attacks, please seek help from a mental health professional.
That being said, let’s get into the tips.
#1- Stimming!
I find stim items to be especially helpful in avoiding/getting out of a panic attack. If I can distract myself with a stim item, I can sometimes stop from panicking altogether. Some of my favorite stimming items for this purpose are:
-          Slime. I find that watching the slime slowly moving around in my hand or stretching the slime is relaxing. Plus the coldness of the slime on my hands helps perk me up and out of bad head spaces.
-          Squishies. Sometimes you just really need to squeeze something to stabilize yourself or just to get out anger or anxiety. Squishes are great for that, plus they’re trendy right now so you can find them just about everywhere.
-          Chewing Necklace/jewelry. I used to bite my nails a lot when I was stressed out, but that’s not good for your health or nails. Plus I used to bite down to the painful nerves when I was having panic attacks, which led to pain and discomfort. Chewing jewelry is more accessible now than ever before, and is great for stopping self-harm and nail biting due to anxiety. You can find chewable jewelry here, https://www.stimtastic.co/stim-jewelry/?category=Chewy+Jewelry
For those unaware of what stimming is, please check THIS post. For more about my fave stim items, check THIS post.
#2- Grounding Exercises
When I have panic attacks, sometimes my main problem is my brain just stops being aware of where and when it is. One of the main ways to fix this is by using simple grounding techniques. Grounding is when you realign your brain back to reality. Some good grounding exercises are:
-          Have someone remind you (or remind yourself, if you’re able) WHERE you are, what year is it (WHEN), and WHO you are.
-          Pick something around you and describe it. Describe how it looks, smells, feels, and, if it’s safe, like food, how it tastes.
-          Run your hands under cold water to snap yourself back to reality.
#3- Distraction
The last way that I keep myself from having a panic attack is to distract myself. Often it’s with stim toys, as mentioned before, but sometimes I simply watch videos on youtube that are calming and gentle.
Some good YouTube Channels for distracting from a panic attack are:
RRCherryPie
MosoGourmet
MyFroggyStuff
TroomTroom

20+ years of struggling with dermatillomania... last week I was ordering chewable jewelry for a child and I suddenly realized no one was going to stop me from getting some for myself, and bam, problem solved. really crazy how often our problem is not knowing that a solution is out there or that we're 'allowed' to use it.

Can we get some info/ facts on TR! Whit and TR! Charles?
Also on a random note, would TR! Whit use chewable jewelry? It just that chewing was listed as his habit, and I thought it was a cute head canon
TR!Charles is kind of jealous about TR!Whit, since he's very open about his sexuality (even though TR!Charles is still questioning)
TR!Whit doesn't knows how to confess & no one goes to him to confess, that's why he never been into relationships
Also he doesnt wear chewable fidgets out in public but he does have one! (it's heart shaped) ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶!! hopes that answers your questions

Welcome To ArtisXan!
About:
ArtisXan is a small business owned and operated by queer, disabled, neurodivergent, trans individuals. We sell a wide range of items, including discreet and fun chewlrey made of body-safe silicone intended for use by teens and adults.
Xan has been crafting since they were in middle school. They shifted focus from knitting to digital art. The chewelry business started when Xan found that having a body-safe silicone necklace was a great way to help them stop biting their nails, but could only find bulky designs that stood out. They used their own style to start assembling necklaces that were subtle and matched their aesthetic while still providing the physical stimulus of the larger designs. Since then, they have expanded from necklaces and bracelets to keychains, zipper pulls, and pens.

FAQ
Who is this good for?
These are especially useful for people who need items to fidget with, pick at, chew, squish, pull, or stretch! All the chewelry is made using materials that can be cleaned and are body-safe. Any item can still be a choking hazard, so these are not intended for young children or individuals who may be at risk for swallowing objects.
Are these chewable?
Yes! All of the beads we use on the fidget chewelry are made from food-grade silicone and can safely be chewed!
Where can I buy these?
You can find all of them on Xan's Etsy store! It is under the same name as their TikTok and Instagram (ArtisXan)! Their work is also in physical stores in Wisconsin.
Can I use these even if I'm not diagnosed, or am not neurodivergent?
Absolutely! Chewelry is not limited to any specific need or diagnosis. You can wear it just because you like the way it looks, or feels!
Do you make the beads yourself?
With two exceptions, our beads come from other suppliers. We don't have the facilities to make our own beads. We buy them from a combination of distributors and also directly from manufacturers. However, we did run a kickstarter to make two custom beads in collaboration with an artist who works with body-safe silicone! These are the morel mushrooms and the moon phase beads.
Are the other designs yours?
Yes! The stickers, art prints, pins, and other items are designed by Xan!
Can you make custom pieces?
We can customize some of our items, yes! We are happy to work with people to make pieces they'll be happy with, such as personalized pronoun chewelry! We are restricted to the beads we have and the prices may vary but we will always do our best to find what works best for you!
Will you ever make [insert bead shape here]?
We work hard to find pieces that suit Xan's brand and what people request! But we can only make things that manufacturers have created so we have a somewhat limited scope of options. However we are always looking for new beads and frequently find ones that hadn't been out before!
Why is [insert piece] more expensive?
Some of the beads we use are more expensive than others and so to offset the price we have to adjust the price a bit! We do our best to make sure that all the pieces are still within an affordable range for as many people as possible! And we do weekly giveaways to give more people a chance to get pieces even if they can’t afford them.
Can you make it without the small bead at the bottom or string it differently than shown?
Absolutely! Feel free to leave a note when you purchase to let us know you'd prefer a knot at the end, or for the main bead to be strung sideways without a knot or bead below it!
Why are are some of the pride necklaces different than the flags?
Some flags use so many colors, or so many shades of the same color, that we can't get enough of the beads to make the flag exactly, or to make the flag at all! For the Sunset Lesbian Pride and Aromantic pride, we have not been able to find body-safe beads that match the rest and come in different shades of orange, pink, and green, so some colors get combined for those designs. We keep an eye out for bead colors though!
Why don't you have a pride flag/pronoun necklace for [blank]?
Either we haven't had anyone request them, no one bought them when we did sell them, or they are ones we can't feasibly make. For example, we love the Progress Pride Flag but if we tried to make it we would run out of space for all the colors and it would be way too expensive for people to buy! (We do have a Progress Pride focus bead though!)
You can always contact us if there is a pronoun you want to use, or to ask if we could make a flag. We are willing to try!
What kind of bead should I get?
It depends what you want to use it for! The higher durability beads are best for biting and can take more heavy-duty fidgeting. Squishy beads are better for twisting and pinching. Textured beads are good for picking and rubbing.
How often do you make new designs?
We release new items and themes on a regular basis. Patreon and Discord users can get previews of what is coming out soon, and even suggest ideas. The chewelry depends on what we can source, but we continue to look for new beads. Xan designs stickers and other art frequently, and now that we have had a successful kickstarter we are open to the idea of making more unique beads.
Just a few of our items for sale:

Note
Chewable jewelry is made out of silicon, so it's not easily damaged, but it won't hurt your teeth! So, would you like some?
- stress/anger relief anon
Well, I suppose I could hide it inside my coat when not in use... assuming it comes in a necklace form, of course.
You really believe it could help? Fine, then.

Some Ways To Emotionally Regulate Yourself
(Note That Everyone Is Different And Regulates Differently. You May Have A Way That Isn't On This Post Or Conventional But If It Works For You Then That's All That Matters)
!! Tip: Implementing Your Regulation Techniques Into Your Life Regularly Even When You Don't Need Them Can Help Them Feel More Natural And Comforting !!
⚠ First Steps ⚠ (Most Important Steps!)
The Very First Thing You Should Do Before You Regulate Is To Try To Get Yourself In As Safe Of A Situation As You Can, This Means A Safe Physical And Social Environment. IF This Cannot Be Readily Available, Do What You Can By Excusing Yourself Or Having A Reliable Person Around You To Help
Make Sure, If Possible/Safe, To Let Yourself Feel!! You Cannot Expect To Regulate Yourself If You Don't Give Yourself A Little Time To FEEL!! I Have Previous Posts On How To Safely Let Yourself Feel, I Do Not Mind Tagging Anyone In That Post Or Making A New One If Anyone Would Like/Need ♡
Some Physical Techniques:
Focusing On What Parts Of Your Body Are Holding The Bad/Stale Feelings And Getting Rid Of It (Imagining Yourself Taking The Feeling And Throwing It Away, Imagining It Turning Into Butterflies And Flying Away, Shaking The Energy Or Feelings Out Of You, Ect)
Stimming (Fidget Tools Can Be Useful But If They Are Not Available Or Helpful You Can: Rock In Place, Press Your Finger Pads Together, Palm Tracing, Slowly Going Through Each Part Of The Body And Releasing Tension In That Area)
Finding Something To Do With Your Hands Such As Coloring/Drawing, Sculpting Or Using Putty/Playdough, Fidgeting, Knitting/Crochet, Writing, Origami, Anything Safe That Keeps Your Hands Busy
There Are MANY Different Breathing Techniques, It May Take A Few Tries To See Which Ones Work For You, If You Decide To Use A Specific Technique, Sometimes Just Breathing On Your Own Without A Technique Is What You May Need.
Chewing On Gum Or "Chewlery" (chewable jewelry)
Tapping On Pressure Points Such As The Face, Hands, Feet, Thighs, And Shoulders
Some Other Techniques:
Grounding Techniques Such As Naming Things You Smell Or Finding Things That Are The Same Color Or Counting Things In Your Surroundings
Mindfully Eating Or Drinking A Safe Food/Drink Or Eating/Drinking Something That Has An Interesting Flavorful That You Can Focus On
Isolation May Help You Regulate And Is A Perfectly Valid Technique When Not Overdone, Be Sure To Communicate In Some Way With Those Who May Need Be Aware Of Your Isolation And Be Sure Not To Overly Rely On Isolation As It May Not Always Be An Option. You Should Always Have Backup Techniques, Especially In An Emergency Situation
Focusing On Or Stimulating Your Senses (Visual: Watching Something, Auditory: Listening To Music Or Specific Sounds, Touch: Stimming Or Using A Textured Sensory Tool, Ect)
Venting (IF/WHEN SAFE TO) Venting Your Emotions Verbally Can Be Very Useful But Has The Potential To Be Harmful If You Are Not Safe. Be Sure That You Are Safe With Whoever You Vent To And That They Are Willing To Be Vented To. If You Are Not Safe To Vent Verbally/Through Text Then Vent To Yourself, A Journal, On An Anonymous Site Or A Site Like "Scream Into The Void", Tell Your Stuffed Animals Or Toys, Your Pets, The Sky, Anything That Will Listen!
( With Love, Cupid ♡ )

'm sad n jealous cuz can't get a paci but really need one... :( can't get one from shops either i don' think.. :(
🌈💕 Sending Comfort and Understanding Your Way! 💕🌈
I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling sad and jealous because you're unable to get a pacifier. It can be difficult when we desire something that brings us comfort but are unable to obtain it easily. Remember, you're not alone in these feelings, and there are still ways to find comfort and solace.
🍼💖 While physical pacifiers may not be accessible to you at the moment, there are alternatives you can explore. Some individuals find comfort in using chewable jewelry, soft plush toys, or even candy. These alternatives can help provide a sense of comfort and soothing.
💕🌸 It's also important to remember that age regression is not solely reliant on physical objects. Embracing your little side can be achieved through activities such as coloring, cuddling with stuffed animals, engaging in imaginative play, or finding comfort in cozy clothing. The essence of age regression lies within your imagination and the freedom to nurture your inner child.
💖🌼 Lastly, remember to be gentle with yourself and practice self-compassion. It's understandable to feel sad or jealous when we desire something that is currently out of reach. Allow yourself space to process these emotions, and seek solace in the activities and hobbies that bring you joy and comfort.
🌸💕 You are valid and deserving of finding comfort in your age regression journey. Keep exploring and experimenting with different ways to nurture your little side. Together, we can create a community of understanding, support, and love. 💕🌸

Sick Day Ep 3: Alex x D.T
Last part! Ft. Grumpy Alex using xe/xem(cause I should really mix up what pronouns I use with him)
------------------------------------
As soon as D.T entered the kitchen, he knew something was wrong with Alex. Xe was standing at the counter, pouring SALT into xer morning coffee. D.T walked over. "Pup, can I have that?" Alex seemed confused. "The..... sugar? Sure, don't know why you'd want it." D.T studied the shaker as Alex handed. Alex had very poor eyesight when xe didn't have xer glasses on, so D.T had custom labels for everything. The label's typing was raised, so Alex could just trace the letters to figure out what the contents were. Dash and Bash like to swap the labels around every so often to mess with their father, but they hadn't done that. The label still read 'salt', in large, bold letters. "Are you feeling well?" D.T asked. "Why wouldn't I be?" "Alex." Alex look at xer husband. "Yes?" D.T sighed. "This isn't sugar. It's salt." Alex grumbled to xemself, pouring the salted coffee down the drain. "Doesn't matter. I'll have coffee when I get to work." Alex grabbed xer crutch and started to get ready to go to Steamworks. "You're not well, aren't you?" D.T had picked up on Alex's behaviours after nine years of marriage. When Alex was sick, xe would become avoidant of people xe knew cared about xem, as xe knew that if xe was around them, xe would accidentally reveal xe wasn't feeling well and would get coddled for the rest of the day. "I'm fine D.T. You should get ready for work too." Alex grumbled, grabbing xer bag. D.T intercepted xem before xem got to the door. "You're staying home today."
It took nearly an hour for D.T to get Alex to rest. Xe fought him every step of the way, and even now, while sitting on the couch, Alex was giving D.T a death glare every time he passed. At least xe wasn't trying to sneak away, like xe did six or seven times prior. This time, when D.T walked towards the couch, Alex was missing. D.T cursed himself for not paying attention and went to go look for Alex.
Alex hadn't left the house. Xe was in a spare room that xe had taken as xer rec-room. Well, it wasn't really a rec-room. It was a sensory room, but calling it that would cause confusion, so Alex just called it xer rec-room. Alex was sitting, wrapped up in a cotton blanket and chewing on a peice of chewable jewelry. It was a necklace with silicone beads and a large silicone fox pendant. Alex kept this one in the freezer of the mini fridge, which xe used to chill water while xe was in there. The cold chew felt nice in xer mouth. Being sick stressed Alex out. It wasn't that fact xe was sick, it was the fact xe couldn't do much. Alex had to stay home and rest. Xe felt like a burden when xe had to rest. A relationship has a balance between give and take and while Alex was sick, xe couldn't help around the house, interrupting the balance. Alex hated when things got interrupted. So, here xe was. In xer sensory room, trying to make xemself feel better about staying home to rest.
D.T sighed, shutting the door to the master bedroom. He couldn't find Alex anywhere. He glanced at the last room, Alex's rec-room. The light was on inside, so that was his best bet. D.T opened the door to the rec-room and there was Alex. Xe was asleep on the floor, wearing a necklace made out of silicone beads and a large fox pendant, which was hanging out of Alex's mouth. D.T smiled, sat down next to Alex and place xer head on his lap.
At least D.T knew how to get Alex from trying to work while sick now.

How about a male reader who has a oral fixation with moira? Like her fingers in his mouth or similar things. Please and thank you!
"Use My Fingers Instead"
Fandom: Overwatch
Pairing: Moira O'Deorain x Male!Reader
Rating: Lime [🟢] (Equivalent to PG-13)
Warnings/Mention Ofs: Nail Biting Mention, Overeating Mention, Oral Fixation, Suggestive Method, Gagging, Finger Sucking
Word Count: 504 Words
Author's Note: Overall, I just looked up a couple of articles and such about oral fixation, so this may not be an accurate representation of having oral fixations.
Tumblr media
Moira’s definitely familiar with the terms “quirk” and “quirky”, meaning peculiar or unexpected traits that characterize an individual, as Moira has some of her own. Therefore, it doesn’t surprise Moira whenever she starts noticing some of (Y/N)’s own quirks, especially his seemingly favorite one: oral fixation. It wasn’t much of a concern to Moira at first, (Y/N) usually being found either biting his nails or overeating. Something that wasn’t much of a hazard to (Y/N) as long as he was careful, knowing his limitations. He reassured Moira that he knew of his limitations, that he was sure to keep only safe things going and being in his mouth. Yet, Moira discovered that to be untrue when stumbling upon (Y/N) chewing on a hefty amount of paper strips.
Being discovered, especially after having told Moira that it was nothing that she needed to be worried about, (Y/N) feels embarrassed and ashamed to an extent. He explains that he’s had the oral fixations for as long back as he can remember, but not exactly sure how the fixation to be. He’s done some research, but didn’t think much about it, and eventually forgot about continuing on with discovering the source of it. After listening to (Y/N), comforting him and reassuring him that she’s not disgusted or ashamed of him, Moira suggests that they possibly look into seeking out a therapist, or looking further into the source and seeing what could be done about it.
Until there’s a decision made about the options Moira suggested, the two start to discover ways to distract (Y/N) from the urge of oral fixation, or more safer alternatives for (Y/N) to use. After some time they discover some items called “chewelry”: jewelry with chewable silicone pieces. Another option that was discovered was to incorporate harder-to-chew foods to (Y/N)’s diet, foods that make the jaw really work and tire out. Lastly, which definitely caught (Y/N)’s interest, was to use Moira’s own fingers. It would be something that (Y/N) would be aware of what he would be putting into his mouth, and that he would have to limit what he could actually do with it.
After discussing the method, they decide to try it out. (Y/N) opens his mouth, sticking out his tongue, Moira slowly and cautiously placing a couple of fingers into his mouth. It becomes a suggestive activity between the two: Moira’s fingers exploring the depth of (Y/N)’s mouth, making him occasionally gag whenever she would end up going too far into his mouth. He lets out soft groans, tongue brushing against her fingers, the sensation being strange, yet almost internally pleasurable. (Y/N) also finds himself enjoying the faint salty taste on his tongue from the activity. It’s eventually something that gets used within the bedroom, but the two will admit that since they’ve started this specific method, (Y/N) hasn’t had to worry about something possibly hazardous to himself in his mouth.

Um I have a question:
What do do when ur little isn't talking to you?
How you coach them to talk to you about anything?
What's some good games to play with your little?
How you deal with negativity from people outside that sees you and your little outside just having fun?
My brother is famous for having bad communication. He can go days without talking with me when he's upset. Especially if its something I did. I usually just tell him that I'm avaliable to talk and that I'm worried and if he needs support I'm there to help find a solution.
Theres no way to force anyone to talk with you about something. Until they're ready really all you can do is tell them you're there for support and that you're willing to listen and be there for them.
My brother used to get so embarrassed and upset being little in public. He still sort of is but he's been getting better. I slowly introduced him to public places. We started with using pacis and toys in empty playground then we would go for small trips to stores and letting him use chewable jewelry. He even got comfortable enough to bring stuffies to school! Try making it more discreet for them? Like chewable jewelry, cute waterbottles instead of sippy cups, masks to hide pacis.
I try and distract him as much as I can when we're in public and sometimes it helps. Breaks could help too if they get overwhelmed. Sorry this was kinda long ^^" I hope it helps!
