Do you guys have some kind of personal tagging system (maybe in ao3 bookmarks or something?) that helps you remember what happens in what fic? I very often find myself thinking I can help answer a request but then I just can't find the fic I was thinking of. So how does everyone else keep track of them all? Thanks everyone!

I usually go off memory/frantically searching keywords the most, but I do have basic tags like Time Travel, Cloud Recess era, Modern AU, Single Parent LWJ/WWX, Oneshot...etc... I especially add them if i think it would fit in a certain comp.

I've noticed a lot of people write summaries/quotes in the notes section of their bookmark that helps remind them what happened in the fic, maybe that may help you?

He reached forward and ruffled Fred’s hair with a huge grin on his face.

“Congratulations! And not just on the baby.” Percy said with a subtle wink.

Fred looked at him confused, “What else?”

His older brother laughed, “On not making her go through teenage pregnancy.”

Audrey playfully smacked him on the arm, “You don’t have to be so mean.”

My husband laughed, “I’m glad to see you joke Perce. But maybe we have to work on your jokes sometime.”

The news of my pregnancy still hung in the air as our friends and family chatted with each other.

Fred absent-mindedly fiddled with the loose thread of my blouse.

Molly stepped forward handing me a glass of water.

“I remember when Arthur and I first had Bill. He was an angel.” She said, smiling fondly at the memory.

“Then when Charlie and Percy came along, they were just like Bill.”

Before continuing, she jokingly pointed a stern finger at Fred, “But when you and George came along. You were absolute nightmares.”

Fred gasped, placing a hand over his chest, feigning offence, “What are you talking about mother dear? We just like to keep you on toes.”

Molly rolled her eyes before turning her attention back to me, “For your sake Y/N, I hope the baby is like Bill. And for your sake Fred, I hope the little one is like you. An absolute nightmare.”

She then turned her attention to Victoire who was trying to show her something.

Fred rested his chin on my shoulder while he rubbed his hand over my stomach.

“I still can’t believe it.” He said quietly.

“Believe what?” I asked.

“That there is a tiny human being inside of you. One that’s a little bit of me and a little bit of you.”

Where you post: my AO3

Most popular one-shot: Midday, Midnight, which is the best thing I’ve written and was a joy to write. I’m still surprised it’s my most popular fic, because it’s based on a somehow unpopular headcanon (the Prank didn’t have lasting consequences). 

Most popular multi-chapter: I only have 2 multichaptered fics and both of them have only 2 chapters; I’m more comfortable with writing one shots. The most popular is The light that blinds my eyes - another sweet, light, romantic fic. 

Favorite story I’ve written so far: Eh. It’s not an easy choice. There are three or four I’m particularly fond of, but maybe Roma is amor spelled backwards has a special place in my heart. It’s very self-indulgent and writing it gave me solace during a very frustrating time (re: lockdown). 

Fic you were nervous to post: Hic sunt dracones. I’m not sure how much I want to explain 😅 let’s just say that I’ve read a few fics where make-up was used as a plot device in ways that weren’t... working for me, so I wanted to try and write something different. 

How do you choose your titles: Oh, dear. I’m terrible at finding titles and most of my fics are titled like this: “Lie low at Lupin’s food fic” or “Graveyard sex fic” until the moment I hit the “post” button on AO3. Then I panic, bug my poor Beta and/or friends, and then I choose something that most of the time has little to do with the actual content of the fic but at least sounds cool. 

Do you outline: I do, most of the times at least, and always with stuff longer than 4/5K. I outline by hand, in my cute red notebook, by now filled with quotes, snippets of dialogues, descriptions, keywords, lists, references, etc. I remember writing 5 full pages for my Big Bang fic. 

Complete: All my fics are complete because I am an anxious mess and I can’t stand unfinished fics 😂 I don’t post them, don’t usually read them, avoid them 😂

In progress: uhhh I started something last night but it was on a whim and without planning anything. I don’t know if I’ll end up writing it, even though I think it could be an interesting idea. 

Coming soon: I just finished a short Christmassy fic that I will post very soon 🎄

Prompts: I like prompts even though I’m a very slow writer and I can’t fill them all. I wrote three fics based on some lovely prompts my friends left me and I had so much fun 😍 I loved coming up with ideas and thinking what they might like the most.
