anyone else feel like the uswnt is just lacking so much this time around? there’s basically no bond, no hype, no ‘sisterhood’, no training camp vlogs or anything to really get the fans invested :/ I feel like the 2019 branding and PR stuff was peak and it just hasn’t even been close to being replicated by this group and idk I miss it a little

Is it weird that I feel this sense of grief regarding the uswnt? I’ve grown up loving this game and this team, and I’m sure I’ll love the latter again—you can’t repress that enduring spirit of the lgbtq+ in sports for long—but I miss the way I couldn’t wait to see media content or the anticipation I felt for games.

And as i mentioned today this is definitely related to USSF doing nothing to make us feel part of the experience. The last time there was a big generational shift (or some big names were replaced or retired) the media team went into overdrive.

We got vlogs, challenges, interviews, random ass video's and basically everything else we wanted so we could get to know these new players. Right now there's just these random players no one really knows and no one truly cares about.

To make it a little easier for USSF i have compiled a list of activities they can do with players and can film. That way they can pretend they care and the fans can get excited about the team again.
