Yamaha OX99-11
The Yamaha OX99-11 was configured as a two-seater, but not in the traditional sense of the word. The pilot sat in front of the passenger, in tandem. Its chassis was made of composite materials, with extensive use of carbon fiber in a monocoque very similar to that used in the competition car. The engine was a self-supporting structural element, just like in the Formula 1 car. The aerodynamics were top notch, and it was housed in a voluptuous handcrafted aluminum bodywork. It was a Formula 1 bodied, with a full fairing and aerodynamic spoilers as striking as the front, the intake above the passenger compartment... a spectacle on wheels. The party was right behind him. It was a naturally aspirated V12 with a displacement of 3.5 liters and 400 hp. It might seem underpowered, but it was necessary to ensure minimal reliability and durability in its street setup. The naturally aspirated V12 retained its high engine speed, so its 400 hp was reached at 10,000 rpm, figures more worthy of a sports bike. With a weight of 1,150 kg, it was capable of doing the 0 to 96 km/h in 3.2 seconds and its top speed was estimated at more than 350 km/h. Goodyear Eagle F1 tires mounted on 17-inch wheels - 315 mm section at the rear axle - ensured optimal grip on the ground.
