Just because someone interprets something in a show you watch in a different way than you do, doesn't make the person wrong. Especially when the showrunners have gone out of their way to be deliberately vague about possible shippyness.

Saw someone use a cake comparison to excuse the blandness of the marketable star we got in the movie, so don't mind me doing the same in Star Boy's defense.

For starters, I don't hate the marketable Star for his design and (annoying) cuteness, I hate him because that's the ONLY thing his ENTIRE character is (I find it hard to even call him a character, he's more like a "living" tool), so of course I wouldn't hate him if it was attached to Star Boy from the concept art.

Coming back to the cake comparison, I'd say it's more like if Star Boy also had the marketable design (since he was supposed to be a shapeshipter) being like a frosted cake, and the marketable star we got in the movie is literally just the frosting and nothing else.

Now, tell me, which one would you rather eat, a properly decorated cake with multiple layers and ingredients or just sticky liquid sugar? Yeah, I thought so.

There is somebody with the worst take about the Owl House and a major platform and I wish I could hit him with my laser eyes.

This person complained about the lack of gay male representation in the show and how he didn’t like that Gus and Hunter can’t be a couple because of their age gap. And complained about how there’s no gay single characters. When. Everyone on the Isles is queer. And Darius is literally a single guy and so is Perry. And Alador is single later in the series. And all of these men are queer. 

It’s like. I can tell you watched the show and was like. Where am I in the show as a privileged white, gay man. Shut the hell up.
