Geez! The way Kaine’s “birth” is both described and later shown in Spider-Man: Redemption #2 & #4, you can’t help but feel incredibly bad for the poor Spidey clone! And as much as I despise the Jackal as a character, J.M. DeMatteis portrayal of him as an abusive father haunting Kaine’s memories really works well!
Also, this vision a dying Kaine experiences in the Web of Spider-Man (2009) #1 anthology (also written by DeMatteis BTW...) is similarly incredibly top-notch!
