I decided to take a creative breather amidst my two projects (Doctor Who playing cards and my children's book), as I felt a burst of inspiration to bring to life a drawing I had in mind for a while. 🙈 I drew Kara as a tribute to the incredible Valorie Curry and the captivating stories of Detroit: Become human (No spoilers, but I can't stress this enough, please protect Hank at all costs! haha) 🌃
Valorie's portrayal of Kara has touched my soul, and I could truly feel the motherly love between her and Alice. 👩👧🥺 I chose Kara's moment of becoming #deviant, as it marks the starting point for all the storylines, making it the most important one. Plus, we didn't get a front view of this scene! 🙈
I have followed Valorie's work and have seen everything from the 'Kara' demo and 'I love you like crazy' to 'Blair Witch' 2016 and a really lovely short film 'Bus stop' from 2014 (that one was so adorable!) to her more well-known work. 🙈 I also love her as a voice actress, with a very calming and comforting voice. Oh my, I wish Valorie narrated audiobooks! 💗 I also wish I could meet her in person, as she seems so very nice. I'd be starstruck, haha, but I get the feeling she makes everyone she's talking to feel comfortable and welcome, at least based on the interviews. There are so many amazing people I'd love to have a conversation with! 🙈
Can't wait to see even more of her work!
