What is your HCs on Vampire and Blackberry?

Ooo!! HC questions yeSS, I’ll do a few separately and then both of them together — Vampire Cookie and Blackberry Cookie !👇

🍷 Vampire is actually pretty smart as oppose to what other cookies think. He likes playing dumb to get reactions and for the record he’s too lazy to think. (Not to mention he’s also intoxicated half the time) That’s why he’s pretty good at chess and math. Its mostly because he was previously trained in alchemy way before Alchemist herself was born.

🍷 Vampire is a tough cookie to crack as he isn’t necessarily phased by most things. It’s pretty hard to embarrass him to be honest and for anything he’d be like “I mean you’re not wrong lol” or “I thought it was obvious ?? -7-“. The only thing that could provoke him for the most part are cats. He shits himself when Sparkling’s petsitting his dad’s cat, Constable Whiskers. (Theres angst on how he failed as the family prodigy in alchemy and leeching off his parents but im not gonna get into that 👀)

🍷Vampire tends to be annoying, on purpose. /lh Catch him whining and moping around the bar counter, Herb’s lawn, Mint and Oreo’s piano (bonus points if he start slamming his hands on the keys) or BlackBerry’s work desk when he’s bored and wants attention.

🕯BlackBerry is actually very good with children, mostly due to a loss of a younger friend of her’s in the past. Despite her tough exterior, she had plans for wanting a kid in the future and give them the care she wasn’t able to for her childhood friend. But sadly she’s too busy tending for Adventurer’s mansion to be able to settle down.

🕯Blackberry is Cherry Blossom’s manager and co-worker since she hired her to help tend for the mansion as well. Like Vampy, she’s unphased with most things like the creepy paranormal activity going around the estate. Blossom is scared shitless however, especially when Blackberry likes to joke (yes she can do that sometimes) how she can speak to the dead. The girls are frequently getting hit on by Addie lmaoo.

🕯Blackberry may have an insight in different mansions, whether it’d be Adventurer’s or Vampire’s, but her sense of direction is god awful in certain public places LOL.

🍷🕯 Vampire’s and Blackberry’s dynamic may come across as mean or harsh (with Vampire teasing and annoying BlackBerry and him getting bonked with a mop by her and the like) but to be honest a lot of their gestures are all light-hearted. Vampire likes to rest his chin on her head while wrapping her in his coat and Blackberry occassionally likes to scratch his head or the back of his ear when they relax on the couch. <3

🍷🕯 Vampire is pretty good friends with Adventurer Cookie but if he’ll especially spook or prank him if Addie ever makes a pass at BB. Vamp won’t take it too seriously unless he REALLY is pushing it. Sometimes he likes camping out in Addie’s Mansion on the ceiling or in a darker area for a nap until BlackBerry’s on break.

🍷🕯 When either one or both are having a rough time, they like to cuddle in silence. On the couch, or in Vampire’s cloak. Or their dates on the roof. <3

just stumbled upon your page and i love your work! any tips for overcomming mental block/ fear of creating? I've struggled with this since i quit art school but i really want to create again at my own pace. Also where do you get your inspiration from, im in love with your style!!

hello thank u for ur question! it's funny bc the other day i was literally asking some artists i admire the same thing... having people see my work is still pretty new and scary, but i try to remember that the only thing i can really do is keep making , keep working to close the gap between where i am + where i want to be. 

i make so much work that i’m not proud of and get really down on myself, but i know that if i stop making things, nothing will change. it’s more important to fail than to be stagnant . good work to me, means having courage and then courage again to make “bad” art. it can take a lot of bad art to get to some good ones (this graphic is one of my favorite reminders). i hope that doesn’t sound too grim... but making bad art doesn’t have to be miserable and agonizing, it can be fun and ugly and weird and whatever you want it to look like. as long as you’re making things <3

as for your experience with art school - that’s totally valid... it’ll b so refreshing to make things on your terms + hopefully you can reignite your passion for creating! i am rooting for you!
