Restaurant Phantom

Danny as a restaurant owner in Gotham or something similar The thing is that, as Danny's customers are mostly villains, they are immortal beings. From Ra's al-Ghul, Vandal Savage, and even Queen Hippolyta and few others. For Vandal and Ra's, it was to taste things they had not eaten for hundreds of years and to taste the original flavor that doesn't exist anymore.

And Hippolyta saw the restaurant as she visited her daughter in man's land and didn't know why but ate in it in the end. It had been a long time since she ate those good old traditional ancient Greek dishes.

So Danny's restaurant with his assistant Dani became a pretty famous place for people who are older than you think. And with them, other people joined: Ra's group, Vandal Light, Hippolyta Amazons, a few Greek gods, and even Dr. Fate and Klarion with others.

It was more or less a neutral zone for them to just eat and maybe chat. until JL found out about it.

Danny just had fun to cook the food for them, it was fun to cook things he learned in the Ghost Zone, he was surprised people even knew the names of it.

He had no idea how Mr Savage knew it was Mammoth Meat.

Meat Marionette Thoughts

Y’know what villian I am rotating for this who isn’t technically one of Gotham’s rogues but the Justice League’s and other team’s? Vandal Savage. For those not in the know or are unfamiliar with him, Vandal is a 50,000+ year old caveman who has been several different people throughout history including Black Beard, Vlad the Impaler, and Genghis Khan among so many others. And in canon he’s been defeated and plans thwarted several different times by Bruce while he was trapped outside of his own time. Now I am just saying that from Vandal’s point of view, every once in a while this creature- similar to him in the sense it’s intelligent, very much so, but also animalistically violent, almost instinctively so- emerges from somewhere in the world. Where it comes from, he doesn’t know, or even if it’s just one being or multiple. Sometimes the bat appears months later, sometimes centuries. But then there’s nothing for a few thousand years. No sign of it. But then, but then, this happens:

Now this isn’t Bruce’s father (See screenshot below) but an ancestor all the same. But that’s not important at the moment.

No what I want to focus on is the fact that suddenly, in Vandal’s point of view, the bat is far more active in the following years. It’s suddenly awake and out all the time in Gotham, almost nightly. And suddenly, the bat isn’t alone and has something. Suddenly there’s several little bats running around, all focused on the surroundings of this single city. Suddenly, he has a good idea of where the beast disappeared to.

Because it waaaaaaaas~ And! Thanks to a Certain Episode That Shall Not Be Named, we know that meteors and other space rocks CAN be Ecto-ranium!

Which!! Suggests OTHER Ecto-Elements may be floating about in space! Not in large amounts, but! Absurdly rare does NOT mean they never land on earth! Consider the various kryptonites! Rare! Still land on earth. Not all are immediately harmful to Kryptonians.

So? What other Ecto-Elements could land on earth? Perhaps one that... unlike Ecto-Ranium... that hurts Ghosts and Limnals? CREATES them?

Imagine if you with? You are Savage. Tired. Sore. Cold. The glowing rock... is WARM.

FEELS warm... deeper even then your skin. Like... like a blessing. Like the Sky Gods have sent you warmth and safety. Chosen you. You are so tired. The rock calls to you. The night is cold. Your body heavy. The light... so... so soft and pretty...

You wake up... Different.

Stronger. Smarter. More AWARE.

As though power has been poured into your veins. You no longer age. Are the ONLY of your kind. Wouldn't it be easy to make assumptions? For Obsession to twist your mind and time to alienate you from humanity? They are infants compared to you.

Isolation HAS been PROVEN to drive humans insane. And in so many ways? He is Isolated. Trapped without access to the Zone, the Realms Infinite. He is the only Man in a sea of violent, gibbering, ever repeating zygote. Thoughtless repetition of history's mistakes, played out before him, like Humanity itself is smashing it's head against a wall again and again and AGAIN.

Nothing new under the sun. Alone, decade after decade after century after millenia. Hungry for the presence of other people, their EMOTIONS and LIFE, but equally unable to bear them. Starving slowly.

Every war, each battle, a feast of SOMETHING that fills his stomach for years. The extreme emotions and sudden ends of Death releasing SOMETHING into the air he can not explain. Can not name. It fills him.

He is Chosen.

He is insane. An inherently social creature driven mad by social isolation. A ghost trapped in flesh, slowly warped by the filters of human perception and prolonged starvation. But... not alone... not forever...

A little town.

In that country built on mass Graves, that thinks so very highly of itself. Founded by witches. A town of CHILDREN. Stumbling and new. Like HIM.

Some stronger then others, as tends to be the case, some clever and sure footed. So many will not stand the tests of Time. They are too weak. But... BUT! Oh~ LOOK At Them! A Tribe of Children.

They will live FOREVER.

They must be protected. As he walks amongst them, he can see them struggle to understand themselves. To hide their greatness from the reactionary masses. Already the children have drawn the attention of some governmental branch of this or that. Were too inexperienced and without leadership.

No Father to guide them. No patriarch.

The best they have is a floating child. "Phantom". Children guiding children, truly it is madness.

As he stands on the steps of the halls of their little town's government hall. Do you think Vandal Savage smiles? Pats the head of a passing child, after he catches her, to keep her from stumbling? Is he the very picture of a pleasant, gregarious man?

How trustworthy.

Vladimir Masters must look up from his work, at his overly ornate desk, and meet the eyes of something far, FAR worse then himself. Know in that instant, as like recognizes like, that a monster has stepped foot into his office. What choice does he make, I wonder?

When his instincts scream this... this is likely it. You have no escape. This thing will go through you, continue on, consume and control until it has it's fill. You are an obstacle it seeks to... Remove.

What does he do then?

In that moment... does he think of the Family his Obsession cradles so dear? The woman he loves, unknowing of this danger? The children, the SON, no doubt first to be targeted after he falls?

I imagine he does.

He cares little for Jack Fenton. But Vladimir Masters, in his own twisted way, does love Jack's family dearly. He sits at his desk, brought from home, bought with stolen wealth, and smiles a businessman's polite smile. Let's his hand brush the decorative bobblehead of to the side. Slips his finger, intangible, just beneath the surface of the plastic...

Three phones light up, dispite having blocked his number. The screen fills with simple messages, repeated and bold.

RUN. GO NOW. I'M ALREADY DEAD.

RUN. RUN. RUN.

In some episodes he appears with black nails and in others its nude, does our Lord of chaos gets manucures? 💅🏻✨

Eobard spectating on historical events as a hobby is a concept that gives me life. Vandal Savage, who was a key player in many historical events, recognizing Eobard when he pops up and realizing that this fucking weirdo is an Omen that things are about to go very right or very wrong, also gives me life.

i like to think klarion just. stole a house and put it in his own magic pocket dimension or something.

either that or vandal just kinda got him a house so hed stop waking up in the morning, walking into the kitchen to get some coffee, only to be greeted with the sight of klarion dead asleep face down on the couch, teekl on top of the kitchen counter licking a brownie, and the kitchen looking like masterchef if masterchef allowed you to put grenades in the batter

also lowkey like the idea of klarion just. not living anywhere. once hes done doing chaos in one place he moves to another place and does chaos there, and never actually stops anywhere for long, at most around the time it takes to steal food from someone and eating it before youre caught or possibly taking a catnap. hes chaos personified, he doesnt really need magic artifacts or spellbooks to do chaos or magic, so he doesnt really need anywhere to store that stuff. if he needs something he takes it from wherever and leaves it wherever. altho def think klarion enjoys theft and stealing stuff just cus he wants it so it would make sense hes got like a lil nest of stolen shiny stuff hidden somwhere even if he doesnt live there

the point is, vandal does not allow klarion into his kitchen unsupervised (not that that helps since klarion refuses to listen) and hes NOT eating anything klarion cooks (could be poisoned) (definitely has cathair in it) (vandal knows that because he SAW teekl put her paw in the batter) (theres hazelnuts in the brownies) (vandal doesnt like hazelnuts) (or cathair)

3 Year Old Lian Harper Breaks Vandal Savage's Thumb

What Happened?

So I just love this moment because it's where an imposing villain get knocked down a peg by a small child fresh off her nap. More importantly, the villain has been terrorizing that same small child and her family, so it's cathartic.

After clockwork allowed Danny to use his time portals, he started to have fun with them.

Danny was playing with time, or better yet, just making the time line how it was supposed to be.

Like

Danny is in the past and meets Hippolyta and the Amazon while in a battle against Hercules and the monsters of Hades.

Hades was on vacation; let Hercules take care of the Underworld. (Never TRUST A CHILD OF Zeus. ONLY WHEN SHE IS YOUR wife.)

Or the times he fought against Blackbeard (Vandal Savage) or helped Genghis Khan as a Ghost tried to kill him. (Again Vandal Savage)

He trained under an old man after he was saved from a cage in the desert for many years too, with his dead wife inside of it with him.

Or the time he worked with Martian Manhunter, Dr. Fate, and a few others against an invasion by Darkseid in the past.

So back in the present, Danny notices the painting he saw a few days ago and thinks it's similar to him: It Was Actually Him The Whole Time.

Danny had not changed to a different time line; it was the original time line.

Clockwork explained it to him: Danny changed the past; it was the whole time. He is outside of it, but not fully; it happened after his fight with Dan.

Well, someone should have told Dani about the kind of Chaos her Genetic donor had caused in the past. So she wouldn't be on such a run from so many people! After they only met her once!

Many people Danny has met in the past are very interested as they saw and meet Dani.

Short.

Clockwork pulls absolutely favor Danny and Dani over the rest of beings. So they are part of time, like him.

Something like that Vlad would never get away with, and other ghosts would have been just erased or, worse, hunted down by time hunters.

Like a Hound of Tindalos.

I like them; they are cute.
