Indeed, the present figure served as the prototype for a likeness of the Virgin in a depiction of the Holy Family. The iconography of the melancholy young woman with long hair streaming down her shoulders also suits images of Mary Magdalen; intriguingly, an early biographer tells us that Van Dyck once depicted his sister Susanna in that guise. This person is wrong and evil. Fighting back against this horrid joyless rhetoric. I can’t take it anymore. Kitchenaid whiskey jones deserves better than this slander.

Also it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth cuz you know damn well ppl are applying this to more black sounding names they think are “ridiculous” and unserious. So easily you all forget about doctor Marijuana Pepsi Vandyck and her entire dissertation.

Also I don’t care if you’re thinking of some white woman naming their kid katlynn in a weirdly spelled way. I might laugh but it’s actually fine and you’re all crazy if you think I don’t want to normalize weird names. I’m literally transgender get with the fucking program and stop acting like bullying ppl over their names is ok if it’s “weird” enough and you pretend it’s the parents you’re ridiculing. How do you think that feels, to have someone tell your parents that your name is so ridiculous and stupid that it’s basically child abuse to call you by it.

Shawn and Niall's public dating history doesn't match the themes and narratives of their songwriting

Mannn… if you actually take the time to look at Shawn’s and Niall’s dating history…. Where are these passionate songs coming from if you buy into the general public narrative 😭 Shawn’s literally supposedly dated 2 people 😭

And it didn’t start until 2017 😭 which albums are typically written A YEAR AT LEAST before they are released. Shawn Mendes Self Titled was released on May 25, 2018. Illuminate was released on April 20, 2017.

And then he’s singing about hoping someone will be by his side and being with someone “who cares if they approve”…. The media and fans were wanting him and C to get together… where are these obstacles of being together 😭

Niall’s dating history is so weird, like, don’t even get me started. It’s so full of PR and short bursts of being with someone?? Women who have even issued statements and denied when asked that they were anything romantic??? Where are all of these passionate songs coming from?? Who is he showing up at their door soaking wet? Where are these obstacles??? Wedding song???

Why is he needing to tell someone there’s “no judgement” (it’s romantic with a “mate and… you know”. No, it’s not about Harry please stop?) when they’re together??? Who is he missing so much he needs a “new angel”?? This Town: Who is he saying “if the whole world was watching I’d still dance with you” about”?? Why wouldn’t anyone he’s been with be accepted???

There’s so much that begs to be said about all of this. Shawn invalidating his whole discography (saying it’s all about Camila???) in his documentary still makes me so incredibly sad. That doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t all line up, nor do the themes match up with his life history with her. Please 😭

Make it make sense. 🤨😭 whomever made him say that had no idea what they were doing. They expected the fans to just blindly accept what came out of his mouth.

I have talked with his fans who believe that he was writing so many songs about her… and to believe it, you have to think that he’s just sitting on the sidelines for years just pining away for her while she’s with other guys??? That doesn’t even match with his songs???

I know I’m going back and forth between the two but there’s so much of Niall’s that don’t make sense either. It starts with Barbara Palvin, who was starting out her modeling career who was connected with Niall in 2013-2014. If you don’t think he stunted, then what’s this?

Amelia Lily (yup another Amelia) 2011-2012. There’s later an article about her DENYING anything went on and that she was actually dating an electrician dude.

He was connected briefly with Ellie Goulding who would greatly benefit from the clout boost in Aug-Sept 2013. Meh. Standard music industry stuff.

Melissa Whitelaw, an Australian student, Feb-June 2015 so says a DM article. There’s papwalks complete with the weird backseat photos. Her looking out the window while Niall is awkwardly trying to cope with what he’s being subjected to, see below.

And there’s Celine Helene Vandycke, yet another student. This time she’s Belgian. They show up at events with his arm around her shoulders. They’re only together about a month or two in 2016. Again, here’s the customary car backseat photo published in DM.

And then there Hailee Steinfeld, in 2017-2018. Niall never confirms it but there’s really awkward (while walking across the street?? Like??? Wtf???) kissing pics that exist. She wears his merch. She shows up to a m&g during his tour. They “breakup” then the narrative is she released a song called “Wrong Direction” but denies it’s about him. (Great PR move, Hailee.)

Then it brings us to Amelia Woolley, pandemic lockdown lady. Met in Apr 2020, UK lockdown started in Mar. Dramatic story how they met in tabloids. Niall tore her away from her electrician boyfriend. They now do papwalks and she shows up at golf and events. Everyone forgets about her.

So….. I repeat…. where’s the kind of longterm love along the ways that’s sparked their work and matches the themes of their songs??? Please let me know if you find it???

And yes I know there’s some typos, the timeline also isn’t exact. But that’s the thing about these “relationships” that are arranged. Dates are messy because no one actually knows them. 😂

In this, one of the most marvellous works by the famous Flemish painter Anthony van Dyck, the compact composition creates an impression of trusting closeness and agreement between the married couple, seen with their daughter seated on the wife's lap. In the woman's flourishing, rosy face and her open, welcoming gaze, we can see intelligence, a sense of her own merit and a certain independence. In the man the artist emphasised restraint, modesty and seriousness. Van Dyck's early portraits demonstrate a strong link with the national traditions of Flemish portraiture, found in the lack of any idealisation of the sitter, in simplicity of composition, in the static poses and virtuoso depiction of texture. Van Dyck carefully depicted the fine lace ruff and sleeves of the man's attire and the tightly starched ruff of the woman.

fine morning F64° at 9 50 breakfast at 11 25 – pothered with our old Valet de place yesterday – took boots at 12 ¼ this morning merely to shew us the way – the picture gallery shewn from 10 to 11 – but admitted and saw the pictures as well as the glare of light upon them would permit – very few of the Italian school, but those few good – did not see one Raffael – some fine Rubens, and Rembrandts and Vandycks – a fine Cleopatra by Titian and 1 ditto smaller and not so by Julio Romano, I think – a valuable collection but sadly ill lighted (sadly too much glare) at this hour (between 12 and 1 p.m.) – pictures should have the light thrown in from the top – difficult to light them tolerably from side windows – then to the bain de marbre – really very handsome – a large handsome bath under a marble canopy, in a magnificent marble hall, full of good sculpture – the orangery here – Everything wants paint or repairs of some sort – the oranges larger than those in Paris and full of fruit – looked over the Kattenbourg, the shell of a castle built up to about the floor of the premier by the last election, and thus left – looking like the wall round some intended prison-court – the palais de la Residence a handsome looking Ionic porticoed otherwise plain red sandstone building – walked round the 3 stories of the maison foraine

the highest merely for shoes, and full of them tho’ few people there – the 2 other stories for all sorts of things – linen drapery silks, cloths, horlogerie toys etc. etc. but no temptation to spend our money – not one single thing worth our buying – a mere country concern – back at the Inn at 1 ¾ - somehow not comfortable here – a large handsome looking house, and probably where all the English would go, but our apartment might not have been occupied for several weeks, and the bed hardly felt dry and comfortable even at the last – no curtains to our beds – and instead of this very dear Gasthause Zum Preussichen Hofe, I would rather try the less handsome but comfortable well aired looking König von Preussen - Off from Cassell [Kassel] on the Fulda (about 18000 inhabitants a very handsome very dull town) at 2 ¼ - fine country – corn, and wooded upland – at 3 ½ pass the borne into Hanover – fine corny country – no corn some seeming quite green – we had hardly entered Hanover before it began to rain – about ¼ hour over the high land then from about 3 ¾, beautiful drive thro’ a fine beech wood into rich, green, lovely beautiful valley watered by the fine river Fulda to the very nice picturesque good old town of Münden close on the river – charmed with the scenery – one of the loveliest valleys I ever saw cutting the after grass (fog) – some in cock – turn right at a little distance out of Münden and leave the valley of the Fulda, but still drive along another fine valley (tho’ without river) to Dansfeld at 6 33 – a nice enough little old town – still fine country but could not see much beyond D- at Gottingen [Göttingen] at 8 5 - stopt at the Couronne - went upstairs to look at rooms an 3me - the house full - luckily for I felt a persuasion there would be nothing there not dear - drove to the King of Prussia - nice people - pestiferous smell of smoke in the rooms (so where was at the other house) but otherwise comfortable and quiet - settled here at 8 ½ - dinner at 9 ½ to 10 ¾ - fine day till between 3 and 4pm afterwards more or less rainy for the rest of the day and evening – F64° at 11 ½ pm

The child supports himself on his Mother's breast, with a touching, natural gesture, grasping the fabric of her dress with his hand. It is one of van Dyck’s most famous religious compositions. It was created shortly after the painter's return from Italy and is clearly inspired by the paintings of Titian. Van Dyck painted as many as three original versions of the Madonna and Child.
