why would poison be baron and aces last comeback? are they leaving the group?

I waited a few days to answer this because I was hoping A Team would release more information but they haven’t 😪

Poison was most likely Baron’s last comeback (not too sure about St. Van or Ace) because he will be enlisting in the army soon. Yes, he’s leaving the group, but it’s only temporary. When a male idol leaves to fulfill their military service, their contracts get put on hold and resume when they return.

There are a few articles that quote Baron saying the same thing so I only included one of them. What I don’t understand is that the journalists all use the plural “members” when speaking of who will be joining the army yet only Baron has confirmed that he’s going. My best guess is that Ace is the other member who will be going because they were both born in the same year.

Anyway, I used to date someone born and raised in South Korea who had already fulfilled his military service before we met. Here’s all I know about the service itself.

Mandatory Military Service:*keep in mind that this info’s from 2013, it may have changed by now

lasts at least 21 months

the first five weeks of enlistment are spent training

men can be excused due to certain medical issues (it’s possible that Baron has already passed the initial physical examination though, Baron did say his enlistment is already planned)

men can also be excused if they have too many tattoos (as far as I know, St. Van is the only VAV member who has tattoos)

Jacob said that they depart for their Europe tour this Sunday and A Team hasn’t said anything about any members being unable to go; I assume all members will still be present for that. But after their Europe tour? Who knows.

Let’s just make sure to remain supportive and respectful of all of VAV. Going to the army is considered to be an honor in Korean culture. We shouldn’t tell them not to go or press them for more information.
