Nothing seemed amiss, though his white beard was a tad scragglier in these later seasonal months. “Percival, darling, how are you?” He shrugged, brow crinkled at her odd immediate concern, “Fine. What has you so worried, Vex’ahlia?” She stood up on her tip toes and asked in a whisper only audible to him, “It’s just the reveal of that horrid mask that gave me quite a fright. Does a demon have possession of you again? Orthax or-or Ipkesh?” Gods, her husband had a wretched penchant for making deals with creepy dwellers in numerous levels of the Hells. Percy vowed, “The sole beings, who are allowed to have possession of my heart and soul are your and our children, Wife. I swear to you.”

Okay, but Vax'ildan becoming a well-known character in Exandrian history after passing on to merge with The Champion of Ravens.

Stories, songs, poems, carvings, sketches, paintings, plays.

Everyone knows of the pale man in black who captured the heart of nature's voice and who shadowed the champion of dawn itself.

Children whisper his name in alleyways, pretending to be ravens or the "Raven Prince" himself.

Temple goers pray to him for luck or long life, leaving offerings of snowdrops and daggers behind.

Professional mourners stand at memorials of him, weeping over his loss and the consequences that his passing has wrought.

Scanlan Shorthalt goes on to base a musical off of Vax's story, no embezzlements or rehashing, just straight facts told in songs.

Whitestone opens an orphanage and homeless refuge in his name, Byroden and Emon following suite.

Zephrah adopts the raven as their representative animal, snowdrops as their representative flower.

Schools teach of him, using his sacrifice as a warning and as inspiration to their students.

Every chain in the Gilmore's Glorious Goods franchise has a small shrine to him somewhere, black silk adorned with colourful beads and tall white candles, snowdrops and raven feathers scattered around a small picture of the late rogue who had captured the sorcerer's heart.

Murals popped up in places he had once visited, the art becoming protected landmarks.

Tal'Dorei decalres ravens as a protected species of bird, snowdrops a protected species of flower, and a national holiday gets penned in the Tal'Dorein calendar.

Elaina gets a proper burial at last, a urn of her son's ashes buried in her casket alongside her remains.

Then, a child unlike any other is named after him; Vax'ildan Frederick de Rolo is born with an uncanny resemblance to his uncle.

Vax'ildan is never forgotten.

Fanfiction Recommendations: Camp Wildemount by cashewvesh

A very cute summer camp AU where the mighty nien are the teenage camp counselors and the bells hells are the campers! So far it only has one chapter but I think it's really cute so I think it is still worth checking out even if it's never updates.

There's also some small shipping even in this first chapter and it stays very sweet about it. The only Trigger Warning (Spoilers ahead) I would put is that there's some small transphobia that's mentioned and that Trent Ikithon is mentioned in one line. After that it's all fluff really.

so the cr fandom created "vax'ildeux" to differentiate vex's brother (vax'ildan vessar) from her son (vax'ildan frederick de rolo). its a pun because deux means two in french ^_^ its like saying vax'iltwo but deux just sounds better
