I saw an article on my stupid phone newsfeed about how apparently terrible Venom 2 was, which I was already skeptical of. Then the reviewer lost all credibility by insulting Pirates of the Caribbean.

Upon consulting Tumblr, everyone here fucking loves it, and this seems far more valid.

Venom 2 Spoliers:

I just wanna talk about the bell scene. It was just…. So well made???

Logically i know that its basically what happened in Black Panther with the vibranium train deactivator thingies. Its the same idea of smth periodically turing off the superpower so the two have to switch to straight up fistfighting and stuff. Its not completely original.

But the BELLS. The BELLS. Made everything so cool. Plus buff symbiote to tiny manthings is a bigger jump than skintight catsuits to manthings. I’m just a sucker to cool music and the bells were *chefs kiss*

They emphasized the dramatic yelling of the humans and made it ten times more dramatic. And they were the literal reason why the dramatics were possible because the loud sound is what was disabling the symbiotes. The fact that the bells did both is so gooddddddd you guyssss

It was a really cool choice :))))

My (1NB) husband's (41M) wife (40F) keeps making noises so loud it causes me physical injury and she has nearly killed me multiple times. AITA for wanting to eat her face?
