SYNASTRY: Chiron

Note: Chiron can act from a place of hurt or healing depending on how much the person has worked on healing their own wounds.

Chiron conjunct Moon: This could mean that the Chiron person wants to help heal the moon person, they might share similar emotional wounds.

Chiron sextile Moon: I have this with my little nephew! The Chiron person can learn from the Moon person about their own emotional side, and maybe about their relationship with motherhood or how to nurture oneself and others. The Chiron person might heal themselves by mothering the Moon person.

Chiron square Sun: The chiron person might feel hurt for not getting the attention and validation of the sun person. It might stir up self-esteem issues from the past. The sun person might act self-centered, and the Chiron person might internalize their own insecurities about it.

Chiron square Mercury: The mercury person might struggle / avoid communicating with the Chiron person, which can hurt them. I had this with an ex who replied to my texts after hours or longer.

Also, the Mercury person might act rationally, from their mind, and the Chiron person might feel they're too cold and can't comprehend or don't care about their emotions.

Chiron square Fama might mean the Chiron person doesn't want to hear about the Fama person at all. They resist hearing or talking about them because they don't want to get in touch with past hurts.

It also could be that the Chiron person remembers the Fama person as the bad ex or the one that got away, something that hurts them or it did at some point. For example, if the Fama person was a crush that got away, when you think about them you might feel like you're not enough; it touches sensitive spots.

Chiron inconjunct Saturn: I have this aspect (applying) with a friend, and he doesn't share some beliefs with me, and sometimes when I talk about it with other people he talks down about it. It feels like being censored or limited (Saturn) which can bring to the surface wounds related to powerlessness (created by authority figures of your life).

I have the same aspect (separating) with my cousin, and I think the disciplined / hard work of Saturn shows up more. When I see how resilient and committed she is, I feel a bit jealous and called out, because I know I need to make adjustments in my own life in order to make Saturn justice. Those adjustments are related to issues with perfectionism, procrastination, discipline and consistency.

Chiron semi-square Venus: The Venus person might show affection to the Chiron person, but this one might reject it out of habit which can come from past wounds. The Chiron person might brush off shows of affection from the Venus person which could annoy them. This could cause very light friction.

Chiron trine Mars: if Chiron is a woman and Mars a man, the former might see in the Mars person characteristics or behaviors of previous men who have hurt her. For example, my ex was very emotionally dry like my father which sometimes triggered past wounds. But I think that the trine made it flow naturally, like I would just accept it.

Boda Asteroid Aspects

Boda (1487) is an asteroid discovered in 1938 by Karl Willhelm Reinmuth in Germany. It was named this way after Karl Boda. Boda in Spanish means "wedding", so it was natural for this asteroid to represent that. Boda is an asteroid we look at when we want to know more about what kind of wedding one will have. The Astrology of Fame: Jupiter and Pluto's Link to Superstardom

Jupiter expands and Pluto intensifies. When these two connect in the natal chart, something magical happens.

Note: Not everyone with a Jupiter/Pluto link is going to explode in popularity and become household names echoed around the world for decades to come. Not every star has the Jupiter/Pluto link, either. However, this is a theme I've (and others) have noticed more often than not in the charts of people who have had their breakthrough.

In the many charts I've seen, almost every single celebrity had an aspect to their Jupiter/Pluto midpoint OR Jupiter and Pluto connected through a different midpoint instead (i.e Jupiter conjunct Moon/Pluto midpoint). It seems to be a far more accurate and reoccurring marker than just a natal aspect between the two planets (though that shouldn't be ignored, either).

I believe long-time astrologer, Basil Fearrington, was the first to notice the link between wealth and the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint. Even though midpoints only tend to count when activated through a hard aspect (conjunction, square, and opposition), Basil surmised that the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint is so potent that even soft aspects should be considered.

The late and wonderful Marga, creator of Dutch astrology website "Astromarkt", took it a step further and said that the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint didn't even need to be activated. The two planets conjoining at all in any midpoint combination (or through natal aspects) was enough to generate immense potential for power and fame.

Soft aspects are not generally considered in midpoint astrology. The reasoning for that is because sextiles and trines require little to no effort. The owner of them may or may not ever put those talents to use, and thus the potential of certain aspects and midpoints may never get recognized. But I think that's underselling it a bit. We do use them, we're just not privy to honing them in the way we would a hard aspect.

Humans have a penchant for believing that suffering equals greater reward, therefore we're far more likely to try and understand then tame a Mars sq. Pluto and let the Venus trine Jupiter do its own thing in the background virtually untouched. Sometimes semi-squares and sesquiquadrates are taken into consideration in midpoint astrology, but their influence is weak. If they can get their day in the limelight, I'm also giving some to the sextile and trine. They obviously have a purpose or else the aspect wouldn't even exist.

Now if you'd like to check for this theme yourself, use Astro.com. The drop-down menu for "Chart drawing style" has two different midpoint options. Ebertin chart allows for a wider orb of up to 2°, but only shows major hard aspects. Keller has a much smaller orb, but also shows soft aspects and parallels/contra-parallels. I use both.

With the clerical info out of the way, let's gain more insight into the Jupiter/Pluto energy itself. Astrologer John Sandbach describes it as such:

A tremendous desire to learn and to grow, and to acquire power, be it of the more intangible, mental sort, or worldly in nature. Driving, unstoppable enthusiasm. A relentless urge toward excess. The ability to transform how things are organized. To have big ideas and far-reaching aims. Going to great extremes. The persistent urge to do whatever is needed to overcome problems. Grandiosity. Religious fanaticism.

Jupiter/Pluto promises a larger than life persona with strong intellect and passions to stitch it all together. Think not of just musicians, models, and actors, but of cult leaders, gourmands, CEO's, luxury jewelry salespeople, and even fine art collectors who amass the rarest of paintings. There is a salient and recognizable power and privilege. Clearly fame isn't the only highlight here.

But if you are fixated on fame, what kind are we even talking about? 15-second TikTok fame? One-hit wonders and Meghan Trainor's of the world who have a shelf life of 2 years then respawn 10 years later because of a viral tweet? Absolutely not. These are the stars you never forget who cannot be compared to others. Rather, others are compared to them. They set the standard and are known everywhere, even outside of their home country. They amass wealth, power, respect, and create a legacy.

From all of the midpoint combinations, Moon/Jupiter/Pluto was the most prevalent. For this post I personally combed through the midpoints of about 45 celebrities total with 30 making the cut here. The other ~15 did not have an active Jupiter/Pluto midpoint nor an active midpoint combination with them. What they did have was a natal aspect between the two planets in their chart, or Jupiter and Pluto both made an aspect to either their Sun, Moon, ASC, or MC within 7°.

If I had to speculate on short-term fame aka "fast rise, even faster fall", I'd wager those kinds of viral sensations have a transit hitting their Jupiter/Pluto midpoint instead, and the lack of natal support can only push it so far. This is something I have to do more research on.

in this aspect, the planetary bodies are in conflict with one another. venus represents our desire for pleasure and harmony, in both love and everyday life. it rules the arts, aesthetics, luxury, as well as subjects, professions, and material items that are traditionally feminine. it’s also indicative of our sense of femininity, and the type of woman/femme-presenting person we’re attracted to, or the lighter/yin-like qualities we exhibit ourselves and are drawn to in others. mars represents our motivation, libido, and assertiveness, and how we navigate our aggression and anger. it rules war, violence, and accidents, as well as things that are deemed traditionally masculine. as venus’ counterpart, it’s indicative of our sense of masculinity, and the type of man/masc-presenting person we’re attracted to, or the darker/yang-like qualities we exhibit ourselves and are drawn to in others.

Transiting Venus enters Libra

Wednesday, November 8 - Monday, December 4

The good news is, Venus rules Libra, and she’s very happy to be home for a while. The bad news is, she’ll have a lot of challenges. Style over substance, “going along to get along” and refusing to take a stand when it’s necessary, being manipulative - things like that. And the hopeful news is that, if we can remember and adhere to Libra’s higher ground, we can spend this time making real progress.

How this could manifest in Venus’ various areas:

Art - as any music lover will tell you, “popular” doesn’t necessarily equate to “good.” If it did? As an example, Bruce Springsteen has never had a #1 hit song in the US - granted, he was competing against Prince in 1984, but what about the rest of the years?

Beauty - I remember reading a review of “Prizzi’s Honor” which described it as a conflict between “pretty” (Kathleen Turner) and “beautiful” (Angelica Huston). If we tend toward pretty, we’re missing out on depth of character.

Love - seeking personal validation through having a particular spouse (like wanting to date the most popular kid in high school), rather than a true partner. And then doing whatever it takes to acquire that “validating” spouse.

Money - blowing it all on makeup and disposable fashion. Or, we buy something because it’s impressive and not because it has any particular meaning for us.

These are the non-lunar aspects Venus will make. Give them a day or so on either side.

Wednesday, November 8 - Venus/Libra inconjunct Saturn/Pisces, 0°31’. Right off the bat, we have a difficult adjustment to make. Remember that Saturn is exalted in Libra - we’re being asked about our standards of justice and fairness.

Monday, November 13 - Venus/Libra (6°03’) sesquiquad Uranus Rx/Taurus (21°03’). Frustrations; “all that glisters is not gold” springs to mind.

Tuesday, November 14 - Venus/Libra square Vesta Rx/Cancer, 7°00’. We may turn ourselves off, sexually, if we think it will get us something we want.

Wednesday, November 15 - Venus/Libra inconjunct Jupiter Rx/Taurus, 8°45’. More “all that glisters;” with perhaps a little of “your eyes were bigger than your stomach.” Taking on toi much, or realizing it’s a much bigger and more difficult task than we anticipated.

Friday, November 17 - Venus/Libra (10°06’) semi-square Mars/Scorpio (25°06’). People in sexual relationships may feel this especially acutely. One partner may (as with the Vesta square) “turn off” or, conversely, be more demanding.

A “two-fer” with minor aspects from Lady Asteroids, on Sunday, November 19:

Venus/Libra semi-sextile Juno/Virgo, 12°11’

Venus/Libra (12°40’) semi-square Ceres/Scorpio (27°40’)

We’re trying to coordinate between demands of our partners (Juno) and our families (Ceres).

These are rather more serious than what we’ve experiences so far - as are the remaining aspects. Even if we’ve been as tactful and graceful as we can manage, it isn’t enough. It’s important to really listen to what other people have to say. They get to have free will, too.

Sunday, November 26 - Venus/Libra inconjunct Uranus Rx/Taurus, 20°32’. A difficult adjustment. If we overindulged, it’s coming back to bite us in the butt.

Tuesday, November 27 - Venus/Libra opposite North Node/Aries, conjunct South Node/Libra, 22°39’. An opportunity to examine (at least) those Libra ways we mess ourselves up.

Wednesday, November 28 - Venus/Libra opposite Eris Rx/Aries, 24°19’. What did I say? Other people get to have free will, too. And if the shoe is on the other foot, and we find we’ve been manipulated, this is the day we could fight back.

Thursday, November 29 - Venus/Libra inconjunct Neptune Rx/Pisces, 24°54’. Taking those rose-colored glasses off, or having them removed for us.

Sunday, December 3 - Venus/Libra square Pluto/Capricorn, 28°33’. We’re aware that we haven’t done Venus or Libra very well (not just this transit, but in our past). We’ve seen that our past machinations were unfair - that our cowardice and complacency haven’t served us well - so, either we resolve to fix it during Venus’ imminent trip through Scorpio; or in Steven Forrest’s words, “we fail to look at ourselves; we imagine the issue to have its sole origin in the other person’s intransigence.”

Painful, I know. The higher Libra traits include justice and fairness; valuing other people; tact and diplomacy. We just need to be more consistent about expressing them - and we need to use them to reach out for the higher Aries traits, as represented by the North Node.

with Venus closest to the Earth out of these planets, when describing aspects it's typical to say both "Venus is square Saturn" and "Venus is square Jupiter", regardless of what sign each planet is in.

this helps simplify aspects between planets while we're talking about them! below are some quick descriptions of the aspects pictured above;

conjunction: the conjoining of two or more placements, typically about 5º or less from each other, where their energies are blended and nearly indistinguishable from each other the closer they are together. a major aspect

semi-sextile: placements are 30º, or one sign, away from each other, where they are constantly forced to learn from each other. often given the term of "too close for comfort", you know that you have to interact with them... but there's something that just irks you... a minor aspect

semi-square: placements are 45º from each other, where they seem tethered together but an invisible string. this is more of an outwardly experienced aspect, so something in your life affects your internal processes, generally in the form of tension of competition/combat, the solution is compromise. a minor aspect

sextile: placements are 60º from each other, and living their best lives together. this aspect is extremely harmonious because the different elements and modalities between the two signs is balanced by the fact that they're either both diurnal (fire/air) or nocturnal (earth/water) signs! working together is a breeze and a good time, a major aspect

quintile: placements are 72º, or 1/5 of the zodiacal wheel, away from each other. a combination of creativity, imagination, and action, this aspect points to talents and skills and being able to truly make something out of them. a minor aspect

square: placements are 90º from each other, forming one side of a square. these placements are literally always fighting and need to learn how to compromise, they will have the same modality (unless it's a strange case and a wide orb) so they go at things the same way, this is an internal struggle. a major aspect

trine: placements are 120º from each other, forming one side of a triangle. these placements are cut from the same cloth, being the same element and all, and work with each other so easily its actually effortless. in the past, this aspect was compared to the devil, because it made things so easy that it encouraged 'laziness'. a major aspect

sesquiquadrate: placements are 135º apart, or a square and a half. this is a much easier to ignore aspect in life, making it's lesson even more persistent and difficult, leading to stubbornness when in avoiding what's the true cause of the issue. again, its about compromise, as is both the semi-square and square aspects. a minor aspect

bi-quintile: placements are 144º apart, or one side of a pentagram. this aspect depicts an extreme interest or innate talent of the combination of placements involved, this energy can be used to drum up solutions to persistent issues and is generally a really good thing! a minor aspect

quincux: placements are 150º apart, giving it a very similar vibe to the semi-sextile, even as far as their symbols! uncomfortable and typically unpredictable, this aspect depicts two pieces of the chart that rarely come together, if at all. however, the signs of the placements involved may be more similar than previously thought... a minor aspect

opposition: placements are 180º apart, half of the chart. this aspect can be both good and bad, the placements involved are the in signs that are same modality, and are both either diurnal or nocturnal, however they are different elements, and so they're oriented towards different aspects of life. very confrontational, always manages to come up, divisive in nature. a major aspect
