Anidala Fic Recs
I got asked for fic recs for these. NSFW will be in a private post (that I’ll make later GOING THROUGH YOUR AO3 HISTORY IS TEDIOUS) for easy DMing purposes. All recs under a read more.
So first for authors:
Just about anything by SkywalkersAmidala and Gemma’s Writing (@gemmaswriting)
Everything I’ve read by them is absolutely fantastic, and believe me, I’ve read pretty much everything from them. Multiple times in some cases. They’re just very good. SkywalkersAmidala in most cases writes more silly lighthearted AUs and Gemma’s Writing does a bit of everything, all of which are good.
Padme Lives/Anakin Doesn’t Fall:
(Anything on my Vaderdala fic recs list, you need Padme alive for Vaderdala)
Precipice by Shadowsong26
An AU in which Anakin Skywalker does not follow Mace Windu and the others to Palpatine’s office after they leave to arrest the Chancellor. As a result, he doesn’t get that final push over the edge, and doesn’t Fall.
(Padme returns to the Senate with Luke, Anakin to lead the Rebels with Leia. Things get better is the absolute best way to summary this one.)
To These Memories by KatieRoseFun
After Darth Sidious is defeated, everything changes. Some for the better, others not so much. Mostly better though. (Or: Anakin becomes a dad. Rex rehabilitates clone troopers who no longer want to be a part of the army. Ahsoka gets a call from an old friend. And maybe Obi-Wan finds out it’s not just his enemies who don’t stay dead. Basically, everyone gets the happy ending they deserve.)
Pocket Full of Sand Verse by Philthestone
Anakin goes missing, Padme is captured, and this causes Leia Skywalker and Luke Amidala to meet.
Clash of Fates by AliceBDS (In Progress)
Sometimes, the course of life is changed with one decision.
When Ahsoka Tano requests the help of her former master in liberating Mandalore, a twist of destiny sends them to Coruscant to rescue Chancellor Palpatine instead, altering the course of galactic history forever.
When Dead Men Walk by Ellapromachos
Anakin hesitates just a few minutes longer, and the entire galaxy is better for it.
or; Anakin is at the Temple for Order 66, but not as Darth Vader. And when Palpatine comes for him, he plays his cards just a little bit better. He digs his heels in, and prepares for the long con.
My Loyalties Lie by Stranestelle (In Progress)
When Anakin initially rejects Palpatine's offer to 'help' him, the Sith Lord, in a rare moment of hastiness, ships him off to Kamino to have a control chip implanted.
Nobody Needs to Know by Elizaham8957
The twins are born in the middle of the Clone Wars, and Anakin and Padmé try to continue hiding the fact that they're married and now have two children.
Nobody buys it. Like, seriously, nobody.
Hunter by Zinoviev
Leia is offered a chance to escape Bespin when Boba Fett enlists her help to prevent Luke from falling into Vader's clutches. She has plenty of questions, however. Who is this mysterious bounty hunter, and what does he want with her friend?
The Bantha in the Room by Estrangedlestrange
concept: anakin sitting in the council room bouncing baby luke on his knees as he adamantly denies having children or attachments
Time Travel:
Stand the Hazard of the Die by KeelieThompson1
Baby Luke is sent back in time by Obi-Wan to the prequel era. Needless to say, things change.
Just One Wish by LadyVader23
On a trip to Dathomir, Anakin Skywalker finds a spell that will grant him one wish. Anxious to return home, he wishes for a way to end the war. As a result, he ends up accidentally kidnapping his future children...moments after they've escaped Bespin. Luke is quite done dealing with his mess of a father, and Leia is convinced telling the future Darth Vader about the future will only make it worse. Desperate, Anakin calls in the only person they might listen to: Padme Amidala. Too bad Padme has a surprise of her own...
Temper With the Stars by Pipionem
After being pulled through the World between Worlds, Ahsoka finds herself in the final days of the Clone Wars, on a Separatist ship holding the recently kidnapped Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Saving the galaxy from the horrors to come is a lot to get done in a week, but Ahsoka has lost everything before - this time, she won't let that happen. Of course, that doesn't mean it's going to be easy.
Skywalker Family Fics:
Skywalker Family Values by Ariel_Sojourner
Camp Chippewa is proud to be the Empire’s foremost camp resort for privileged young adults. Located on the picturesque forest moon of Endor, your child will have the opportunity to participate in wholesome outdoor activities and socialize appropriately with their peers. We invite your offspring to join us for the experience of a lifetime and a bright future in service of the greater glory of the Empire.
On opposite sides of the galaxy, on opposite sides of a civil war, Darth Vader and Padme Amidala unwittingly send Luke and Leia to the same camp during school break. Chaos naturally ensues.
Mild AU:
Desideratum by Sithanakin (In Progress)
As a young Initiate in the midst of a childish crush, Padmé had always dreamt of Anakin Skywalker becoming her Master. But she was to turn thirteen too early for that to be possible.
Then, at sixteen, she loses her Master in the battle of Geonosis. In the confusion of all her grief, she does not expect newly-knighted Anakin Skywalker to offer to take her on as his Padawan.
The Wise Thing by Stranestelle
Warning: Very dark, not happy ending.
Padmé Amidala may not be all she seems. Anakin Skywalker wears his heart on his sleeve. People have crushes every day, it’s not the end of the world. Is it?
or, if you will, a sith!Padmé AU
Bonded by Betts
(Okay I’ll out myself slightly with smut but just one on my mostly SFW recs.)
Padmé had always been better at the mental half of the Jedi code—coercion, manipulation, meditation. Anakin had always been better at the physical half—beating shit up with his lightsaber.
Heirs to the Empire by Aldojlc
Alternate Universe. En route to Endor, Luke, Leia, and Han during the events of ROTJ find themselves transported into a different universe and a different Empire, with a different Vader.
Heavy AUs:
(it’s not so bad) being dead like me by Estrangedlestrange
Recently deceased Anakin Skywalker (killed in an taco truck explosion) finds himself not in the after life but recruited as the newest member of the undead, he’s become a grim reaper. He’s told that it’s his destiny but really he thinks it’s just rotten luck. Rotten except for the fact that one of his fellow reapers is Padmé Amidala, the most beautiful woman Anakin’s has seen, dead or alive. As he struggles to come to grips with his death and his new role in the universe, Anakin finds that taking souls isn’t the easiest job out there, he also finds himself falling in love.
Skyborn by Silverdaye
Senator Padmé Amidala enjoys spending her time in a bookstore, one made of real flimsi books where each one costs a small fortune. It is there she meets a strange man, Anakin Skywalker, who is searching for long forgotten planet, Kesh. 4,500 years ago a ship crashed on Kesh. The survivors told the natives they were their gods, the Skyborn. Anakin is one of them.
For Even the Very Wise Cannot See All Ends by UncorrectGrammar
When people think of Anakin Skywalker, they think of the Chosen One, the Hero With No Fear. They think of an accomplished duelist, of the best flyer in Hogwarts, of the prophesized savior of the wizarding world.
They don’t think of gardens diligently kept or dirt under fingernails.
Or: Anakin Skywalker and his legacy. Hogwarts AU.
General Prequel Era (Non Anidala Centric, but still contain Anidala)
Like Fire In Our Bones by AcuteNeurosis
With all of the most important things in the galaxy literally exploding around her, Leia is given the chance to go back and help keep a promise she never personally made.
But then, for Skywalkers, saving the galaxy was always a family matter.
Well It Goes Like This by Corde_and_Dorme
At the end of it all, the thing is: Palpatine breaks his heart.
(or the one where Anakin makes the hard choice, the right choice, the other choice. Then he keeps making it.)
Vode An by Epsiloneridani
There are millions of lives on the line, clone and Jedi alike. Every second brings them one step closer to the chip's activation - one step closer to the endgame. The truth is shrouded in secrecy and clouded by doubt. The clock's ticking down.
It's a race against time.
Fives is gone. Echo finds the courage to ask why.
Bonus: ObiAnidala
For We Are A Woven Thread; Find the Strand by Shadowsong26
The night before Obi-Wan was to leave for Utapau, he and Anakin and Padme agreed that, regardless of the Council's orders, Anakin should go as well. They split up over the course of the battle--and when Order 66 is given, they cannot find one another in the chaos; Padme, on Coruscant, is left with the knowledge that neither of them is coming back.
This story covers the next four years in their lives; how they survived and coped with the loss; how they began to fight back--and how they found their way home.

Recommended Text for Meditation:
Liber AL vel Legis sub figura CCXX, Cap. 3
The Book of the Law Liber AL vel Legis sub figura CCXX
as delivered by XCIII = 418 to DCLXVI
III
1. Abrahadabra; the reward of Ra Hoor Khut.
2. There is division hither homeward; there is a word not known. Spelling is defunct; all is not aught. Beware! Hold! Raise the spell of Ra-Hoor-Khuit!
3. Now let it be first understood that I am a god of War and of Vengeance. I shall deal hardly with them.
4. Choose ye an island!
5. Fortify it!
6. Dung it about with enginery of war!
7. I will give you a war-engine.
8. With it ye shall smite the peoples; and none shall stand before you.
9. Lurk! Withdraw! Upon them! this is the Law of the Battle of Conquest: thus shall my worship be about my secret house.
10. Get the stele of revealing itself; set it in thy secret temple -- and that temple is already aright disposed -- & it shall be your Kiblah for ever. It shall not fade, but miraculous colour shall come back to it day after day. Close it in locked glass for a proof to the world.
11. This shall be your only proof. I forbid argument. Conquer! That is enough. I will make easy to you the abstruction from the ill-ordered house in the Victorious City. Thou shalt thyself convey it with worship, o prophet, though thou likest it not. Thou shalt have danger & trouble. Ra-Hoor-Khu is with thee. Worship me with fire & blood; worship me with swords & with spears. Let the woman be girt with a sword before me: let blood flow to my name. Trample down the Heathen; be upon them, o warrior, I will give you of their flesh to eat!
12. Sacrifice cattle, little and big: after a child.
13. But not now.
14. Ye shall see that hour, o blessed Beast, and thou the Scarlet Concubine of his desire!
15. Ye shall be sad thereof.
16. Deem not too eagerly to catch the promises; fear not to undergo the curses. Ye, even ye, know not this meaning all.
17. Fear not at all; fear neither men nor Fates, nor gods, nor anything. Money fear not, nor laughter of the folk folly, nor any other power in heaven or upon the earth or under the earth. Nu is your refuge as Hadit your light; and I am the strength, force, vigour, of your arms.
18. Mercy let be off; damn them who pity! Kill and torture; spare not; be upon them!
19. That stele they shall call the Abomination of Desolation; count well its name, & it shall be to you as 718.
20. Why? Because of the fall of Because, that he is not there again.
21. Set up my image in the East: thou shalt buy thee an image which I will show thee, especial, not unlike the one thou knowest. And it shall be suddenly easy for thee to do this.
22. The other images group around me to support me: let all be worshipped, for they shall cluster to exalt me. I am the visible object of worship; the others are secret; for the Beast & his Bride are they: and for the winners of the Ordeal x. What is this? Thou shalt know.
23. For perfume mix meal & honey & thick leavings of red wine: then oil of Abramelin and olive oil, and afterward soften & smooth down with rich fresh blood.
24. The best blood is of the moon, monthly: then the fresh blood of a child, or dropping from the host of heaven: then of enemies; then of the priest or of the worshippers: last of some beast, no matter what.
25. This burn: of this make cakes & eat unto me. This hath also another use; let it be laid before me, and kept thick with perfumes of your orison: it shall become full of beetles as it were and creeping things sacred unto me.
26. These slay, naming your enemies; & they shall fall before you.
27. Also these shall breed lust & power of lust in you at the eating thereof.
28. Also ye shall be strong in war.
29. Moreover, be they long kept, it is better; for they swell with my force. All before me.
30. My altar is of open brass work: burn thereon in silver or gold!
31. There cometh a rich man from the West who shall pour his gold upon thee.
32. From gold forge steel!
33. Be ready to fly or to smite!
34. But your holy place shall be untouched throughout the centuries: though with fire and sword it be burnt down & shattered, yet an invisible house there standeth, and shall stand until the fall of the Great Equinox; when Hrumachis shall arise and the double-wanded one assume my throne and place. Another prophet shall arise, and bring fresh fever from the skies; another woman shall awakethe lust & worship of the Snake; another soul of God and beast shall mingle in the globed priest; another sacrifice shall stain the tomb; another king shall reign; and blessing no longer be poured To the Hawk-headed mystical Lord!
35. The half of the word of Heru-ra-ha, called Hoor-pa-kraat and Ra-Hoor-Khut.
36. Then said the prophet unto the God:
37. I adore thee in the song --
I am the Lord of Thebes, and I
The inspired forth-speaker of Mentu;
For me unveils the veiled sky,
The self-slain Ankh-af-na-khonsu
Whose words are truth. I invoke, I greet
Thy presence, O Ra-Hoor-Khuit!
Unity uttermost showed!
I adore the might of Thy breath,
Supreme and terrible God,
Who makest the gods and death
To tremble before Thee: --
I, I adore thee!
Appear on the throne of Ra!
Open the ways of the Khu!
Lighten the ways of the Ka!
The ways of the Khabs run through
To stir me or still me!
Aum! let it fill me!
38. So that thy light is in me; & its red flame is as a sword in my hand to push thy order. There is a secret door that I shall make to establish thy way in all the quarters, (these are the adorations, as thou hast written), as it is said:
The light is mine; its rays consume
Me: I have made a secret door
Into the House of Ra and Tum,
Of Khephra and of Ahathoor.
I am thy Theban, O Mentu,
The prophet Ankh-af-na-khonsu!
By Bes-na-Maut my breast I beat;
By wise Ta-Nech I weave my spell.
Show thy star-splendour, O Nuit!
Bid me within thine House to dwell,
O winged snake of light, Hadit!
Abide with me, Ra-Hoor-Khuit!
39. All this and a book to say how thou didst come hither and a reproduction of this ink and paper for ever -- for in it is the word secret & not only in the English -- and thy comment upon this the Book of the Law shall be printed beautifully in red ink and black upon beautiful paper made by hand; and to each man and woman that thou meetest, were it but to dine or to drink at them, it is the Law to give. Then they shall chance to abide in this bliss or no; it is no odds. Do this quickly!
40. But the work of the comment? That is easy; and Hadit burning in thy heart shall make swift and secure thy pen.
41. Establish at thy Kaaba a clerk-house: all must be done well and with business way.
42. The ordeals thou shalt oversee thyself, save only the blind ones. Refuse none, but thou shalt know & destroy the traitors. I am Ra-Hoor-Khuit; and I am powerful to protect my servant. Success is thy proof: argue not; convert not; talk not over much! Them that seek to entrap thee, to overthrow thee, them attack without pity or quarter; & destroy them utterly. Swift as a trodden serpent turn and strike! Be thou yet deadlier than he! Drag down their souls to awful torment: laugh at their fear: spit upon them!
43. Let the Scarlet Woman beware! If pity and compassion and tenderness visit her heart; if she leave my work to toy with old sweetnesses; then shall my vengeance be known. I will slay me her child: I will alienate her heart: I will cast her out from men: as a shrinking and despised harlot shall she crawl through dusk wet streets, and die cold and an-hungered.
44. But let her raise herself in pride! Let her follow me in my way! Let her work the work of wickedness! Let her kill her heart! Let her be loud and adulterous! Let her be covered with jewels, and rich garments, and let her be shameless before all men!
45. Then will I lift her to pinnacles of power: then will I breed from her a child mightier than all the kings of the earth. I will fill her with joy: with my force shall she see & strike at the worship of Nu: she shall achieve Hadit.
46. I am the warrior Lord of the Forties: the Eighties cower before me, & are abased. I will bring you to victory & joy: I will be at your arms in battle & ye shall delight to slay. Success is your proof; courage is your armour; go on, go on, in my strength; & ye shall turn not back for any!
47. This book shall be translated into all tongues: but always with the original in the writing of the Beast; for in the chance shape of the letters and their position to one another: in these are mysteries that no Beast shall divine. Let him not seek to try: but one cometh after him, whence I say not, who shall discover the Key of it all. Then this line drawn is a key: then this circle squared in its failure is a key also. And Abrahadabra. It shall be his child & that strangely. Let him not seek after this; for thereby alone can he fall from it.
48. Now this mystery of the letters is done, and I want to go on to the holier place.
49. I am in a secret fourfold word, the blasphemy against all gods of men.
50. Curse them! Curse them! Curse them!
51. With my Hawk's head I peck at the eyes of Jesus as he hangs upon the cross.
52. I flap my wings in the face of Mohammed & blind him.
53. With my claws I tear out the flesh of the Indian and the Buddhist, Mongol and Din.
54. Bahlasti! Ompehda! I spit on your crapulous creeds.
55. Let Mary inviolate be torn upon wheels: for her sake let all chaste women be utterly despised among you!
56. Also for beauty's sake and love's!
57. Despise also all cowards; professional soldiers who dare not fight, but play; all fools despise!
58. But the keen and the proud, the royal and the lofty; ye are brothers!
59. As brothers fight ye!
60. There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt.
61. There is an end of the word of the God enthroned in Ra's seat, lightening the girders of the soul.
62. To Me do ye reverence! to me come ye through tribulation of ordeal, which is bliss.
63. The fool readeth this Book of the Law, and its comment; & he understandeth it not.
64. Let him come through the first ordeal, & it will be to him as silver.
65. Through the second, gold.
66. Through the third, stones of precious water.
67. Through the fourth, ultimate sparks of the intimate fire.
68. Yet to all it shall seem beautiful. Its enemies who say not so, are mere liars.
69. There is success.
70. I am the Hawk-Headed Lord of Silence & of Strength; my nemyss shrouds the night-blue sky.
71. Hail! ye twin warriors about the pillars of the world! for your time is nigh at hand.
72. I am the Lord of the Double Wand of Power; the wand of the Force of Coph Nia--but my left hand is empty, for I have crushed an Universe; & nought remains.
73. Paste the sheets from right to left and from top to bottom: then behold!
74. There is a splendour in my name hidden and glorious, as the sun of midnight is ever the son.
75. The ending of the words is the Word Abrahadabra.
The Book of the Law is Written
and Concealed.
Aum. Ha.
Love is the law, love under will.

tarot cards as foster the people lyrics 🌿✨
*based on the waite tarot deck
I've wanted to do this to better understand the relation of the cards with one another and I thought it'd be a good idea to post it here!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i. aces, the magician & justice
—houdini
“rise above, gonna start the war!” / “well, and eye for an eye, and an ‘f’ for a fight” / “well, you got what you want and what you never knew, perfect gift from me to you” / “focus on your ability, then they can’t get what they want to steal”
the aces have an aura of beginning, the spark of an idea, oportunity, birth. however, the magician is the “trigger” of that change, he controls it, activates it. he’s the architect and alchemist that has the ability to make use of each suit as he pleases. with justice, as we see, this power comes with a responsability. you get back what you give. and because the magician is also an illusionist, a liar and a thief, justice needs to be there as a reminder of what happens when you abuse magic.
ii. twos, high priestess & the hanged man
—shc
“you’re a secret, that’s worth keeping, and now i’m keeping my mouth shut” / “well, i’ve been sleeping waiting for something, but to feel nothing at all, avoid the call” / “when i’m alone, there’s a ghost the keeps talking, and i know there’s gotta be more, for sure”
the twos are a symbol of alchemy, and this can be clearly seen in the cups with the caduceus of hermes on the background. the high priestess is the master of occult knowledge, she channels cosmic knowledge through intuition, thus creating a bond, an exchange of energy within her and the universe. the hanged man needs meditation and contemplation in order to decide what’s next, what’s real from what’s an illusion. he urges stillness in order to recover, much like the two of swords.
iii. threes, the empress & death
—fire escape
“my spine is made of iron, my heart pumps out old red paint” / “I see the seasons change, all the young faces come and replace the dying ones” / “i’ve watched the dreamers find their legs, and i’ve seen the ones that come get reduced to bones and rags”
this procesion of cards illustrates the importance of cycles. the threes combine pain, sorrow (swords) with recovery, harmony (cups), planning (pentacles) with action (wands), conveying the message that one simply can’t exist without the other, for the presence of the other is what gives one its importance, its core definition. they’re light and shadow, much like birth (empress) and death.
iv. fours, the emperor & temperance
—coming of age
“you know i try to live without regrets, i’m always moving forward and not looking back, but i tend to leave a trail of dead while moving ahead” / “just like an animal, i protect my pride, when i’m too bruised to fight, and even when i’m wrong i tend to think i’m right. well, i’m bored of the game, and too tired to rage”
the emperor is the giver of stability, as we can see in four of pentacles and four of wands. he provides a stable foundation to build a home, he’s a father. meanwhile, the four of cups and four of swords portray temperance; they’re about patience, balance, and meditation. the emperor, as a leader, needs to balance the responsability of his power out with temperance, or else he will become a tyrant, ruled by fire.
v. fives, the hierophant & the devil
—pay the man
“say what you love, it’s alright don’t be afraid to find your light, embrace the day, at night we’re here to fight, we all go wild again” / “climbing up my own tree, hoping it can hold all the things i’ve seen but i’ve chosen to ignore. well, i said, well i believe i’ve been well fed but the wolf’s not dead” / “lift up your name, seasons change, you know that it'll never be the same, we'll see the sun again, and before it fades, i just wanna say that i love you”
this procesion is very deep. it speaks of the spirit on a level that no other procesion of cards does in the entire deck. because the hierophant is combined with the devil, i feel like it unites opposite religious concepts: heaven with hell, purity with dirt, wisdom with madness. this alchemy of the soul is pretty much a product of dionysos, and that’s why he’s often identified with both major arcanas. the fives, now, are the middle point of each suit; they mark a transcendental point in the path of the fool. they speak of poverty, sadness, confusion and conflict. this is the event that leads to the tower; the failure, the longing for illumination, the unmasking of the lies and illusions that have ruled one’s life until now. the unity of darkness and light, the highest power, thrice-born and divine, with the lowest impulses of nature, the satyrs and maenads that lure you into their orgy. the devil here demands to be payed back, he wants retribuition, while the hierophant presents himself as the saviour, the guide, that happens to also be incredibly biased. i think it’s very useful to view this procesion as a representation of dionysos, he who initiates us into the journey of self-discovery through mysteries and shadows.
vi. sixes, the lovers & the tower
—the truth
“well i’ve been trying to relearn my name, it feels like a thousand years that i’ve been out of frame and i surrender, the truth is what it’s what i’ve needed from you, cause i’ve been floating within your walls of opinion, and i’m tired. i only want the truth” / “a blinding call to prayer has touched my feet, like the call of the prophets, a purpose is needed before you know that you know, to never wonder what you are, and not forget where you’ve come from” / “is it really love you’ve been speaking of?”
the lovers and the tower have a closer relation than what i thought at first, and the verses of this song really show it. the lovers is, finally, the resolution of the devil and the hierophant: it is the unification of duality, the yin and yang, and its lust is still present in the devil; the impetus and dichotomy of human emotion. but the tower and the hierophant are both events of immense spiritual enlightment. they represent freedom. the sixes are about charity, change, escape, and victory.
vii. sevens, the chariot & the star
—doing it for the money
“just close your eyes, we’re gonna run this blind, we live our lives, we’re not wasting time, maybe we lost our minds, we’re gonna get what we can” / “i said it doesn’t matter where i go, i am calling all the poets into battle, i am shouting to the world let them know that we won’t be afraid to step into the fight when we can’t see the light” / “there’s no retreat and no escape if we keep dreaming while we’re wide awake”
dreams, hope, courage and art. this is a creative procesion of cards. after the breakdown of the sixth procesion, the seventh brings bravery forthward. there’s no time to waste and we’re now purified, convinced of our worth and what we need to do in order to achieve what is needed. we’ve accepted the situation, the nature of our uncontrolling emotions and the will of fate. the sevens take action, a bit impulsively, but still they trigger a necessary change after the depression seen with the lovers and the tower.
viii. eights, strength & the moon
—a beginner’s guide to destroying the moon
“and now i’m staring at the moon wondering why the bottom fell out, been searching for answers and there’s questions i’ve found” / “we’ve been crying for a leader to speak like the old prophets, the blood of the forgotten wasn’t spilled without a purpose, or was it?” / “you’ll never be whole until you lose control, and think freely to smash the wall of apathy, stop your self-importance and lift the weight off somebody else”
there’s a very pretty picture on the eight of cups in the ethereal visions illuminated tarot deck, because the moon is full, shining enormously over a deep blue landscape, and that perfectly illustrates the relation of this card to the major arcana of the moon. this procesion for me is about confidence. change is never easy, even when we’ve finally surrendered to the fate of circumstances, even when we were the ones to trigger it. eight of swords and eight of cups are not easy cards to gaze at, but we must remember that the moon is a mother, it is nurturing, it reminds us of the quality of nature to be cyclical, that things are always moving and flowing, and emotions don’t last forever. it’s also a card of illusions; it yells at us to remove the blindfold from our eyes and rediscover our worth. strength is about taming the beast, keeping on working, effort and struggle. so this tells me; no matter how much it hurts, keep going, be a leader, be the lion, make the blood you shed worth it.
xix. nines, the hermit & the sun
—pseudologia fantastica
“don’t be afraid of the knife, sometimes you gotta cut the limb to survive” / “you got to love the madness of the feeling, don’t have to rush the freshness of beginning, you got to get back up and face your demons, don’t ever be afraid of starting over”
the nines follow the archetype of the hermit and continue their path through the sun. when we’ve worked hard enough, when we’ve compromised to facing our shadow self, when we’ve retired to truly know ourselves, admiting what we’ve done, what we’re worth, and retreated into silence, then there’s a comeback filled with joy, music, light. the nine of swords is a necessary dark night of the soul leading to a definitive awakening.
xx. the tens, wheel of fortune & judgement
—iii
“and i wont be afraid, it’s true we’ll never know, when the night will come and take us home, and people change, we fade from youth, and evolve into eternal life” / “wake the sleeping from their dreaming, we all want more, we all want more saints will sing and hearts are beating, saying we all want more, we all want more”
there’s still much to learn in the ten of swords already, but because life is an ouroboros and our purpose is to return to having full control of all the suits and making use of that power faithfully and wisely, it doesn’t matter. in the tens, we admit that we can affect certain situations but there’s always something that escapes our sight; fortune acts alone. wheels turn again, endlessly, for eternity. we want more; the ten of cups portrays a couple with kids new life, new paths, a new story that is, again, yet to be unfold. ten of pentacles passes down its knowledge and experience to the youth; ten of wands continues with its struggle, in the conviction that the nine will come back. ten of swords, however, looks defeated. it ain’t. it’s finally the death of the past self. ten of swords is, actually, the scene of the moment the knight defeated his adversaries. it is a card of victory; but the knight is yet to become a king.

Fate Knows Nothing
@coralreefskim i.love.you.
first comission ever; the greatest show man Klance au. 3k+ so, long post.
Disclaimer: Voltron doesn’t belong to me and neither does the movie.
It comes from the other side.
Slow and shapeless but it shifts as soon as blue eyes settles down on his own. Beautiful stands short to describe the man in front of him; dark tanned skin, bright deep blue eyes, vivid purple bangs on each side of his face, faintly touching the golden glitter on the edge of his eyes.
Keith blinks once and then he’s gone.
“Who’s that?” Keith whispers, smacking his lips together, suddenly aware of how dry his mouth feels.
His top hat hangs loosely on his fingers as he watches the show below them, his dark eyes following the shape of the man from a second ago as he lets go of the trapeze bar and allows himself to fall only for his partner to catch him effortlessly in mid-air, her lean dark arms being stronger than they look.
“That’s Lance and Nyma; best trapeze masters you will ever get the chance to meet.” Shiro says proudly behind him. The older man steps forward, squeezing his shoulder and pulling him back to backstage, away from the show. “Now come, we have a lot of things to do.”
Keith follows quietly, stealing one last looking behind him to catch a glimpse of Lance’s flying.
His breath isn’t stolen, it’s given.
He gets a chance.
“Ah, Nyma, Lance! Just who I wanted to see!” Shiro cheers, grin wide and excited because of the developments of the night, “I wanted to introduce you to our newest member; Keith Kogane.”
“Pleasure to meet you,” Nyma says kindly, pushing her blonde hair back as she pants, chest still heaving slightly with adrenaline.
Keith nods back at her, straightening his vest as Shiro finally let’s go of him. “Yes, ah, pleasure.”
His eyes are quick to fall on Lance’s just as the brunet is quick to look away.
“And what is your act, Mr. Kogane?” Lance asks casually, a silent challenge hidden on the back of his tone as he looks over his bandages carefully, slowly untangling them before looking up at Keith with an arched eyebrow.
“I, I don’t have an act.” Keith replies slowly, voice faint and he feels the way his entire face heats up at Lance’s amused smirk.
“Everybody’s got an act.” Lance says confidently, the amusement lingering on the edge of his lips as he walks by. Keith follows him with his eyes until his silhouette is lost among the crowd and then he sighs in awe.
“Careful there, Mr. Kogane.” Nyma says slowly, bringing him back to the present. She hugs her middle as she presses her palm against her cheek and she stares down at Keith with her unique violet eyes, “Lance might be the bark, but I’m the bite.”
There’s a threat in Nyma’s voice, clear and loud for everyone to hear and Keith doesn’t dare to miss it.
Luxia’s singing holds the entire theater’s breathe but Lance holds his.
Keith stands tall and straight on his spot, surrounded by the peculiar people he has grown to respect, and then he shifts, swallowing the lump in his throat as Lance stands next to him, neither of their eyes looking away from the stage but not really watching.
Keith sneaks a glance, catching the glimpse of Lance’s face. His fingers rub against each other anxiously, heart beating unnaturally so as his hand twitches.
“Take my hand, would you share this with me.”
He reaches out, his cold pale skin touching a tanned warm one, and he sees the way Lance’s breathe hitches. Keith waits and then Lance seals their hands, a silent confession made for the both of them.
It’s warm, strong, comforting.
It’s home.
“‘Cause darling, without you…”
There’s a bubble of excitement inside Keith, pulsing hard against his chest and he recognizes it as the one he got the first time he saw Shiro’s show. The first time he saw Lance.
Keith holds tight to the feeling and he smiles, teeth biting down his lower lip to dim the grin that threatens to sneak its way to his face.
He makes the mistake to look away from the stage and meet a stranger’s eye.
Disgust is clear in their eyes, in the way they scrunch their nose and how they scowl in disapproval. His stomach sink and old shouts from the past ring inside his head; bastard, mistake, unloved.
Keith pulls away before he acknowledges his own actions.
“Never be enough.”
He swallows in shame when Lance lets a shuddering breath quietly and then turns and leaves without a word, Luxia’s singing left behind along with Keith.
“For me.”
His hand turns cold.
Keith watches from above.
There’s passion on every move and word that is sung. There’s life, determination and a feeling that drives them further up, pushing them forward at every verse but Keith’s eyes are on Lance only and he sees what’s inside him.
“I’m not scared to be seen.”
There’s a fire surrounding Lance’s sea.
“I make no apologies.”
Then Lance’s eyes locks with his own, feet stomping hard against the ground below him, surrounded by his family of everything but blood and speaks clear and loud enough for Keith and himself.
“This is me.”
Keith doesn’t look away, he owes Lance that much.
Keith gets his head out of his ass and fixes his mistake.
“You think you’re so smart, huh, Uptown?” Lance says, eyebrow arched in challenge at the held out tickets in front of him but his eyes dance with mischievousness. It calms Keith’s hurricane inside him.
“I like to believe so, Monkey.” Keith smirks, adding a playful wink at the end and chuckling when Lance snorts at his tactics. “Come on, the play’s about to start.”
It’s a date, an official date. No hiding, no secrets between them and their feelings are real and known. It really can’t get better than this.
Keith should have known better.
Less than ten minutes inside the lobby before he’s calling out Lance’s name as the brunet steps out and leaves the theater. Keith burns with anger and snaps at his old colleagues, sharp words hitting harder than any punch could.
“May God save you if I ever, ever, hear you speak to him like that again.” Keith growls, face a breath away from them before he steps back and chases after Lance.
It’s not hard to find him.
“Can’t stay away from the sky, huh?”
Lance snorts, rolling his eyes as he wraps his hands with worn out bandages. “More like from the ceiling. It’s still a long way ‘til the sky.”
Keith hums, hands shoved inside his pants’ pockets as he walks towards the brunet on the stands. “If there’s anyone who could achieve that, it’s you.”
Lance sighs, tired and exasperated as he lifts his head and meets Keith’s earnest eyes. “What do you want, Keith?”
“Not what.” Keith says softly, taking a seat next to Lance, trying to catch once again his eye when the brunet looks away, “I want you, Lance.”
Lance closes his eyes, squeezing them tight before he seals roughly his bandages and stands up. “Keep it to yourself, Keith.”
“You know I want you.” Keith exclaims, eyebrow furrowed as he sees Lance’s figure walking further away from him, “It’s not like I have been hiding it, Lance.”
Lance slows down, pausing to untangle the rope against the pillar before he shakes his head. “Just go home.”
But he is home. “I know you want me too. Stop saying we don’t get a say in this because we do.”
“We don’t, Keith!” Lance says sharply in between, his grip around the rope turning white as he moves towards the middle of the stage, “It’s in the stars. There’s nothing we can do so just give up already.”
“Stars?” Keith echoes softly, tilting his head to the side, eyes narrowed.
Lance nods, sighing sadly as he brings down the trapeze ring from the ceiling and sits on it tiredly. “Not meant to be. Fate made its choice, way before we even came to be.”
Keith stays silent, eyebrows furrowed together in confusion before he hums and steps forward, crouching down until he catches Lance’s eyes with his own.
“Then we rewrite them.” He says firmly, eyes vivid and fierce as they stare down at the brunet.
Lance blinks. “Rewrite the stars?” He echoes dumbly and snorts when Keith nods confidently, “That’s not possible.”
“I say it’s possible.” Keith says eagerly, “Who’s fate to stop me if I decide that you’re my destiny?”
Lance furrows his eyebrows in bewilderment, mouth open in surprise but something in his eyes lights up. Keith grins and leans closer, hands grasping the top of the ring.
“What if we rewrite the stars and say you were made to be mine?” Keith whispers quietly, heart hammering against his chest when Lance’s breath hits his lips, “Nothing, and I mean nothing could keep us apart. You know why?”
“Why?” Lance whispers softly, eyes falling from Keith’s eyes to his lips in a split of a second. It sends his heart to race.
“‘Cause you’d be one I was meant to find.” Keith says before yelping when Lance’s sighs and falls back, hands and knees hooked on the ring as it goes up, leaving Keith on the ground. “The world could be ours, Lance!”
“You think it’s so easy, Keith.” Lance chuckles humorlessly, legs spread down far from him as he brings himself down and stops mid-air, hooking his legs around the edge of the ring before he falls and ends up upside down. “I know it looks that way within these walls, but you gotta wake up and see the world outside. Then you will understand that it is hopeless.”
“We don’t need anyone’s approval.” Keith mumbles softly, neck stretching up to meet Lance in the middle when the brunet brings himself down. “No one can say what we get to be.”
Keith swallows heavily, staring right at Lance’s eyes from his place on the ground. Lance’s lips twitches, hand reaching out to touch Keith’s face before it backs out and pulls at the ring, taking him back up to the ceiling.
“The world doesn’t work that way, Uptown.” Lance says sadly, hands tracing the curve of the ring as he moves, “There are mountains and doors we can’t walk through; it’s just reality.”
“Reality is overrated.”
Lance snorts, shaking his head tiredly as finally disposes of the ring and holds tight the rope above, swinging himself towards the other side of the room and walking on the second floor’s rail. “Might be but it doesn’t change a thing.”
Keith frowns and doesn’t answer, lips pursed in determination as Lance continues to fly above him and Keith maps it out in his head, carefully following Lance’s pattern with his eyes before he nods and runs towards the nearest wall, climbing up fast.
“What are you doing?” Lance shouts, eyes blown wide at the sight of Keith climbing over the pillars.
Keith shrugs innocently, a smirk in place as he grabs on the edge of the second floor’s rail on the other side of the stage. “Rewriting the stars.” He says easily, eyes moving along with Lance’s figure until it’s close enough from him and then he jumps.
“Keith!” Lance gasps, arm wrapping itself around Keith’s waist immediately as he pulls the man closer to his body.
There’s a warm chuckle against his neck and Lance pulls his face away, blue eyes widen with shock as Keith’s own shine with mischievousness.
Lance blinks owlishly before he smiles, relief filling his heart.
“And you call me ‘monkey’.” Lance mumbles, warmth spreading through his chest when Keith laughs and nuzzles his forehead against his own. Lance sighs, enjoying the touch as he closes his eyes and swings them both in the air.
“Is it possible?” Lance whispers then, hesitant to hope.
Keith nods. “It’s up to you and me. No one else.”
Lance beams, bright and happy before he smirks and pulls at the rope, bringing them further up. “You and me, taking the world to be ours?”
Keith laughs, arms around Lance’s neck as he holds tight and trusts Lance blindly. “Tonight! And the next one and all of them to come!”
“You’re crazy!”
“Comes with the job!” Keith shouts, adrenaline filling his veins as they keep swinging across the stage. Lance laughs softly, carefully pulling at the rope once last time to bring them down before they safely land on the ground.
Keith stays quiet and waits, for Lance to seal the deal one more time. For Lance to reach out and grab his hand. The spark in Lance’s eyes when their eyes meet gives him hope.
Deep blue eyes say ‘I want you’, openly and fearless.
“I’m sorry, Keith.” Lance whispers instead, words barely a breath away from his lips and sending a shiver down his spine, spark dimming and laughter ceasing.
Lance hand hovers shakily against his cheek, aching to touch and feel, before a small sigh leaves his lips and then it falls limply against his side.
Keith’s not quick enough to catch it and that costs him to stand alone under the spotlight.
Lance’s heart races when he sees his entire family outside and safe from the raging fire inside the only place he has dared to call home.
It quickly exits his body when he doesn’t see Keith among them.
“Lance!” Nyma shouts, throwing herself at her partner and holding him tight, “Oh my god! You’re okay! Lance! Keith went - !”
“Keith!” Shiro shouts and Lance’s attention quickly falling on him as the older man starts taking off his coat, screaming his own partner’s name, “Keith!”
Lance follows his gaze and a hollow feeling falls deep into his stomach when only fire surrounds his vision.
“What?” Lance whispers quietly, pulling hard against Nyma’s grip, “No, no, he wouldn’t – Nyma! Nyma, where’s Keith?”
Nyma whimpers, arms wrapping around his chest from behind when Lance starts to struggle. “We couldn’t stop him; he went inside looking for you and we couldn’t - we....” She chokes up wetly, hiding her face in his dirty hair, “I’m so sorry.”
“Shiro, don’t!” Allura screams then, pulling their attention back to the scene and it’s barely a blink before Shiro’s silhouette disappears behind the flames. It’s barely a blink before the entire ceiling falls down and Lance feels himself fall to the ground along with it.
“Please, no.” Lance whispers brokenly as he stares at the flames in front of him, “Please, don’t -”
It’s a lifetime before a shapeless shadow appears at the entrance and Lance sobs out when he catches Keith’s body hanging limply on Shiro’s arms as the older man takes them both to safety.
Shiro’s barking orders, pulling close his own family as he makes sure the volunteers check on Keith properly, quickly pulling him into a stretcher but Lance’s ears hear nothing.
The world’s on mute as he stares at Keith’s dirty face, red angry burns on the edge of his jaw and right side of his eye.
Lance’s just a few feet away; he could just reach out, push away the dark patches of smoke that glue themselves into Keith’s pale skin that hides underneath it all and they could pretend that they are within their walls again, just the two of them and Keith would open his eyes, the stars that once needed to be rewritten already done so in them.
The chance is stolen from him as Keith’s taken away and the noise comes back to Lance like a punch in his gut.
The broken pieces left behind of the building lay at their feet, and with a heavy regretful heart, Lance realizes that the building itself wasn’t home.
His home is the man who now lies between two worlds once again, repeating their beginnings all over again and Lance makes a choice right there and then.
He’s not doing the same mistake twice.
The stares do nothing to him and Lance finds himself surprised at how powerful the fear of losing someone you love makes you feel strong enough to push aside all that once brought you down.
He sits at the edge of the bed, taking in the sight of Keith. White bandages wrapped around his head, neck and arms, small patches of red and brown spread through them. Breathing shallow and slow, enough to make him stay among the living but sounding fragile enough to take him away without warning.
Lance lets out a shaky sigh, his lip caught between his teeth as he slowly reaches out and holds Keith’s unresponsive hand. The lack of reaction makes him sniff wetly, but the warmth and steady beat that proves eases his heart.
He loses track of the time; sun setting down, moon rising up and then the sun’s comes back out. Lance hardly notices.
He focuses on Keith only and that wins him the chance to witness what once had been called impossible.
It’s faint. So faint that Lance almost missed it, but then it comes again and again. Keith’s thumb rubs Lance’s smooth skin almost shyly, testing the water with a strong beating heart and Lance wants to break down in relived tears at the hesitation in the Keith’s half lidded eyes.
He brushes Keith’s uneasy hesitation away with a gentle squeeze from their intertwined hands before he leans down and drops his chin on top of them, sneaking a quick kiss there with a watery smile.
Keith gasps softly, voice hoarse and dry but the mere whisper of his name falling from the mouth of the man he loves is enough for Lance to know it’s mutual.
No more words are needed and Lance throws away any hesitation from the past to cup Keith’s face with his free hand and kisses him slowly.
Lance melts against the warmth and gentle touch of Keith’s bandaged hand stroking the side of his face, as if he was something precious he has ached for a long time.
And maybe he was. They both were.
“We will come back home.” Lance chokes out quietly when they pull apart, bringing their hands up until it rest against is chest, right above his beating heart. “Home again, I promise.”
“We are home.” Keith mumbles, his lip twitching upward when Lance beams and nuzzles his forehead tenderly.
“Yeah, guess we are, amor.”
Passion stands short to describe the show.
There’s life and emotions on every word and dance move. Cheers and music blend together behind him and Keith takes a deep breath as Shiro drops his top showman hat on his hands, a proud grin and brotherly squeeze on the shoulder giving him the right push to step outside and join the stage.
It’s a feeling like no other, being part of a family and performing together as one. Moving effortlessly with each other as they climb higher and higher to the top and Keith stands right next to them all.
A hands sneaks its way to his own and Keith beams brightly as the sight of Lance next to him, smile matching his own before he laughs when Keith twirls him playful, bringing him closer until they are chest to chest.
“Look at that, the impossible came through.” Keith whispers quietly beneath the commotion and then yelps when Lance dips him down, face a breath away from his own.
“It is the greatest show after all.” Lance hums softly before he smiles warmly down at Keith and locks their lips gently in front of thousands of eyes.
There’s no hesitation left in them.

Will Jesus Return on Jewish Festival?
George Ogden Notes:
Scriptures: Deuteronomy 12:11, 21; 14:23-24, 16:2, 11; 2 Chronicles 3:1
Spring feast fall in March or April (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits)
Pentecost fall in May or June (The Church age, out pouring of Holy Sprite)
Fall feast usually around September or October (Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles)
Passover                                Christ’s Crucifixion           Our Justification
Unleavened Bread                Christ’s Sinless Life          Our Sanctification
First Fruits                             Christ’s Resurrection       Our Glorification
Pentecost                               Holy Spirit, Church born  Our Infilling
Acts 2:1-4 New King James Version (NKJV) Coming of the Holy Spirit 2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come; they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Trumpets                           The Rapture                      Enter our Rest
Day of Atonement             The Tribulation                 Entering Work’s Judgment
Tabernacles                       The Kingdom                   Entering Kingdom on Earth
Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16:29)
One was tacked to the temple door.
One was on the neck of the goat representing (sacrificed goat Jesus).
One on the horn of the one called Azazel (scapegoat Barabbas)
When they through the scapegoat off the cliff. That is when the red thread would turn completely white. The high Priest would say, “it is done!” This is important because in the book of Revelation 16:17. There is a major earth quake. Then…
Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken 17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”
Summary of Jesus standing before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who had already declared Jesus innocent of anything worthy of death (Luke 23:15). Pilate knew that Jesus was being railroaded and it was “out of self-interest that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him” (Mark 15:10), so he looked for a way to release Jesus and still keep the peace. Pilate offered the mob a choice: the release of Jesus or the release of Barabbas, a well-known criminal who had been imprisoned “for an insurrection in the city, and for murder” (Luke 23:19). The release of a Jewish prisoner was customary before the feast of Passover (Mark 15:6). The Roman governor granted clemency to one criminal as an act of goodwill toward the Jews whom he governed. The choice Pilate set before them could not have been more clear-cut: a high-profile killer and rabble-rouser who was unquestionably guilty, or a teacher and miracle-worker who was demonstrably innocent. The crowd chose Barabbas to be released.
When Jesus came the first time he Fulfilled Passover. Which was the time of his crucifixion 1 Corinthians 5:7-8. He fulfilled The Feast of Unleavened Bread . When Jesus was wrapped in the cloth and concealed in the burial tomb. He fulfilled The Feast of FirstfruitsMatthew 28. He was seen alive on the first day alive by Mary. Mary, lingering at the tomb weeps and is fearful. Peering into the tomb she sees this time two angels who wonder why she weeps. Jesus then approaches her from behind. Not looking directly at Jesus, she supposes him to be the gardener. Then he calls her by name, and Mary, recognizing his voice, turns and sees him. Filled with joy she clings to him. (APPEARANCE 1) (Jn 20:16). So as the Lamb Jesus fulfilled the first three Festivals.
The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) is were we are right now (2017). The order of the Feast you have Passover, The Feast of Unleavened Bread, The Feast of Firstfruits, and then you come toPentecost. The Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost Acts 2:1-4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” The Law of Moses (Exodus 20) was received at Pentecost and the church was born at Pentecost.
The book of Ruth is read at Pentecost.
There are three main characters:
The Hebrew word for guardian-redeemer is a legal term for one who has the obligation to redeem a relative in serious difficulty (see Lev. 25:25-55); also in verses 3, 6, 8 and 14.
Jesus fulfilled the first three feast in his sufferings as the Lamb of God. Jesus will fulfill the last three of the fall festivals as the Lion of Judah. Which is alluded to in the book of Revelation 5:5. The last three feast of the fall festivals are 1) Rosh Hashanah called The Feast of Trumpets, 2) The Day of Atonement (occurs just ten days after the Feast of Trumpets), 3) The Feast of Tabernacles is the seventh and final feast of the Lord and took place five days after the Day of Atonement.
We are presently in the dispensation of the Mercy and Grace of God Ephesians 3:2 “you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles.” We have not seen major wraths of God presently. Like Revelation 8:10-11 “And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.” Also Revelation 16:17-21 “And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.” Because we are in a period of God’s Mercy and Grace. God visits in Mercy and Grace before he visits in Judgement. We have not entered into the time of tribulation. None of what’s mentioned in Revelation 6 and Isaiah 13 has happened yet. This is also called the church age. The church’s responsibility is to declare the good news gospel of Jesus Christ and save souls for the Glory of God. We are in the time of the end. Because the gospel is being preach around the world. Matthew 24:14 “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.”
Is the Rosh Hashanahcalled The Feast of Trumpets a sign of Jesus’ return?
Rosh Hashanah (referred to in the Torah as Yom Teruah) is the first day of that month according to the Hebrew calendar. On this day forgiveness of sins is also asked of God. According to Jewish tradition, God inscribes each person’s fate for the coming year into a book, the Book of Life, on Rosh Hashanah, and waits until Yom Kippur to “seal” the verdict.
The Jewish new year is celebrated on the first day of the seventh month and was to be a “day of trumpet blast” (Numbers 29:1) to commemorate the end of the agricultural and festival year. There are 100 trumpet blast that occur on that day. Judaism signifies the resurrection of the dead, the coronation of the king, and signifies the wedding of the king.
Some suggest that the feast of trumpets will be when Jesus returns. Because Jesus is coming to gather a bride. That bride is going to heaven with him. There will be a marriage supper in heaven with the bride Revelation 19:7-9. Some may say, “What about the scripture! no man shall know the day or the hour” Matthew 24:36.  In the day of Jesus you would have to start the festival when the silver sliver of the new moon appeared. There is a 48 hour window and you do not know the exact day or hour when the festival would began. I am of the of the opinion related to the order of the feasts. That the Feast of Trumpets is when Jesus returns. God has a divine order. Which he cannot change the order of the festivals. You can not move them around. Which is the real key to understanding the Rapture and the returning of the Lord Jesus Christ.
While the four spring feasts look back at what Christ accomplished at His first coming, the three fall feasts point us toward the glory of His second coming. The first is the source of our hope in Christ—His finished work of atonement for sins—and the second is the promise of what is to come—eternity with Christ. Understanding the significance of these God-appointed Jewish festivals helps us to better see and understand the complete picture and plan of redemption found in Scripture.
The plan of God ages past, ages present and ages to come. We have seen, are seeing, and will see signs of the time of the end. Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple, The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age, The Great Tribulation, The Coming of the Son of Man, The Parable of the Fig Tree, No One Knows the Day or Hour of Jesus return and The Faithful Servant, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.” and the Evil Servant, But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 24.
There will be a return of the lord for the overcoming believer. There will be a set time called the Great tribulation. That will be followed by the return of Jesus to rule and reign for 1000 years. Based on Revelation 20 Satan is Bound 1,000 Years, The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years, Satanic Rebellion Crushed at The Great White Throne Judgment.
Are we in the time of the end? Yes! One of the reasons we now we are in the time of the end. First Israel has been re-established as a nation. That event occurred officially when United Nations petitioned Palestine to give them a state that would be called the nation of Israel Jeremiah 16:14-16.
David Ben-Gurion (Hebrew: דָּוִד בֶּן-גּוּרִיּוֹן‎‎; pronounced [daˈvɪd ben gurˈjo:n], born David Grün; 16 October 1886 – 1 December 1973) was the primary founder of the State of Israel and the first Prime Minister of Israel. On 14 May 1948, he formally proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel, and was the first to sign the Israeli Declaration of Independence, which he had helped to write.
The second thing that had to happen according to the Scriptures. The Jewish people have returned from all the other nations on the earth. God’s Will has Restored Israel, For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers Jeremiah 16:13-15.
The third thing that had to happen according to the Scriptures. The Jewish people have to fly back to Israel from all over the world and they did that. Isaiah gave a really unusual prophecy. When he said the Jewish people shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west Isaiah 11:14. The Ben Gurion Airport is located in the ancient territory of the Philistines. If you look at an old map of the Philistines there is actually a little notch up in the corner. That little notch in Hebrew is called a shoulder. So the Jewish people came back literally on the shoulders of the Philistines. Just like Isaiah prophesied.
The fourth thing that had to happen according to the Scriptures. Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit Isaiah 27:6 and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose Isaiah 35:1. That is literally happening right now (year 2017). So are we in the time of the End? The answer is Yes!
In the Jewish faith you have a suffering Messiah. Jesus comes as a lamb Psalm Chapter 22. Psalm 22:1 This psalm was prayed by Jesus when He was on the cross. It begins with, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?” and ends with a thought of finality. The psalm is quoted in Matt 27:46; Mark 15:34; and alluded to in Matt 27:35, 39, 43 and John 19:23, 24, 28 as being fulfilled at Christ’s crucifixion. Isaiah 53:9 His grave was assigned with the wicked. Psalms 22:16 For [a pack of] dogs have surrounded me; A gang of evildoers has encircled me, They pierced my hands and my feet. But He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth. Psalm 22:18 A prophetic reference to the long, seamless shirt-like tunic worn by Jesus as an undergarment. Isaiah Chapter 53 you have Jesus as a Suffering Servant.
In the Jewish faith you have a ruling Messiah. Jesus comes back the second time as the Lion of Judah and setup a kingdom on earth Zechariah 14:16-17 everyone who is left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts. The phrase Lion of Judah appears in the New Testament in Revelation 5:5: “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” The Lion of Judah is the symbol of the Hebrew tribe of Judah (the Jewish tribe). According to the Torah, the tribe consists of the descendants of Judah, the fourth son of Jacob. The association between Judah and the lion, most likely the Asiatic lion, can first be found in the blessing given by Jacob to his son Judah in the Book of Genesis.
Here is a brief summary of the spiritual significance of each of the seven Jewish festivals or feasts. It is interesting to note that the first three occur back to back, almost simultaneously. The Feast of Unleavened Bread starts the very day after Passover is celebrated. Then, on the second day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Firstfruits begins.
The Bible tells us that the Israelites were to eat only unleavened bread every year during Passover as a commemoration of the Exodus from Egyptian bondage. Since the children of Israel left Egypt hastily, they did not have time for the bread to rise, so it was made on that very first Passover without leaven, also known as yeast. In describing this bread and why it was eaten, the Bible informs us of the following: “Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste—so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt” (Deuteronomy 16:3). Further commands regarding the eating of unleavened bread are found in Exodus 12:8; 29:2; and Numbers 9:11. To this day, in Jewish homes, the Passover celebration includes unleavened bread.
According to the Hebrew lexicon, the term “unleavened bread” is derived from the word matzoh, which means “bread or cake without leaven.” The lexicon also states that matzoh is in turn derived from a word which means “to drain out or suck.” In referring to this second Hebrew word, the lexicon states, “In the sense of greedily devouring for sweetness.” So it is quite possible that unleavened bread, while it may have been heavy and flat, may also have been sweet to the taste.
In the Bible, leaven is almost always symbolic of sin. Like leaven which permeates the whole lump of dough, sin will spread in a person, a church or a nation, eventually overwhelming and bringing its participants into its bondage and eventually to death. Romans 6:23 tell us that “the wages of sin is death,” which is God’s judgment for sin, and this is the reason that Christ died—to provide a way out of this judgment for sin if man will repent of his sins, accept Christ as his Passover sacrifice, and have his heart changed so that he can conform his life to what God commands.
Whenever a little bit of sin in a person or a church is permitted, overlooked, and compromised, it works much like leaven in bread. It will eventually leaven the whole lump, affecting the whole church or the whole world (Galatians 5:9). This permitted sin will lead to other sins and will eventually draw a person or church completely outside of the will and favor of our Father, and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Described in Leviticus 23, The Feast of Weeks is the second of the three “solemn feasts” that all Jewish males were required to travel to Jerusalem to attend (Exodus 23:14–17; 34:22–23; Deuteronomy 16:16). This important feast gets its name from the fact that it starts seven full weeks, or exactly 50 days, after the Feast of Firstfruits. Since it takes place exactly 50 days after the previous feast, this feast is also known as “Pentecost” (Acts 2:1), which means “fifty.”
Each of three “solemn feasts”—Passover, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles—required that all able-bodied Jewish males travel to Jerusalem to attend the feast and offer sacrifices. All three of these feasts required that “firstfruit” offerings be made at the temple as a way of expressing thanksgiving for God’s provision. The Feast of Firstfruits celebrated at the time of the Passover included the first fruits of the barley harvest. The Feast of Weeks was in celebration of the first fruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast of Tabernacles involved offerings of the first fruits of the olive and grape harvests.
Since the Feast of Weeks was one of the “harvest feasts,” the Jews were commanded to “present an offering of new grain to the Lord” (Leviticus 23:16). This offering was to be “two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah” which were made “of fine flour … baked with leaven.” The offerings were to be made of the first fruits of that harvest (Leviticus 23:17). Along with the “wave offerings” they were also to offer seven first-year lambs that were without blemish along with one young bull and two rams. Additional offerings are also prescribed in Leviticus and the other passages that outline how this feast was to be observed. Another important requirement of this feast is that, when the Jews harvested their fields, they were required to leave the corners of the field untouched and not gather “any gleanings” from the harvest as a way of providing for the poor and strangers (Leviticus 23:22).
To the Jews, this time of celebration is known as Shavuot, which is the Hebrew word meaning “weeks.” This is one of three separate names that are used in Scripture to refer to this important Jewish feast. Each name emphasizes an important aspect of the feast as well as its religious and cultural significance to both Jews and Christians. Besides being called the Feast of Weeks in Leviticus 23, this special feast celebration is called the “Day of the Firstfruits” in Numbers 28:26 and the “Feast of Harvest” in Exodus 23:16.
The Feast of Weeks takes place exactly 50 days after the Feast of Firstfruits. It normally occurs in late spring, either the last part of May or the beginning of June. Unlike other feasts that began on a specific day of the Hebrew calendar, this one is calculated as being “fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath” (Leviticus 23:15–16; Deuteronomy 16:9–10).
Like other Jewish feasts, the Feast of Weeks is important in that it foreshadows the coming Messiah and His ministry. Each and every one of the seven Jewish Feasts signifies an important aspect of God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.
Jesus was crucified as the “Passover Lamb” and rose from the grave at the Feast of Firstfruits. Following His resurrection, Jesus spent the next 40 days teaching His disciples before ascending to heaven (Acts 1). Fifty days after His resurrection and after ascending to heaven to sit at the right hand of God, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit as promised (John 14:16–17) to indwell the disciples and empower them for ministry. The promised Holy Spirit arrived on the Day of Pentecost, which is another name for the Feast of Weeks.
The spiritual significances of the Feast of Weeks are many. Some see the two loaves of leavened bread that were to be a wave offering as foreshadowing the time when the Messiah would make both Jew and Gentile to be one in Him (Ephesians 2:14–15). This is also the only feast where leavened bread is used. Leaven in Scripture is often used symbolically of sin, and the leavened bread used in the Feast of Weeks is thought to be representative of the fact that there is still sin within the church (body of Christ) and will be until Christ returns again.
On the Day of Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks, the “firstfruits” of the church were gathered by Christ as some 3,000 people heard Peter present the gospel after the Holy Spirit had empowered and indwelt the disciples as promised. With the promised indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the first fruits of God’s spiritual harvest under the New Covenant began. Today that harvest continues as people continue to be saved, but there is also another coming harvest whereby God will again turn His attention back to Israel so that “all of Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26).
The Feast of Trumpets marked the beginning of ten days of consecration and repentance before God. It is one of seven Jewish feasts or festivals appointed by the LORD and one of three feasts that occur in the autumn. The Feast of Trumpets began on the first day (at the new moon) of the seventh month. Its name comes from the command to blow trumpets (Leviticus 23:24; Numbers 29:1-6). It is also called Rosh Hashanah, which means “Head of the Year,” because it marks the beginning of the Jewish civil calendar. During this celebration, no kind of work was to be performed, but burnt offerings and a sin offering were to be brought before the Lord.
In the Leviticus passage, the words trumpet blasts are a translation of the Hebrew word teruah, which means “a shout” or “a blowing.” It appears that the shofar (ram’s horn) was to be blown at this time, as it was on the other new moons (Psalm 81:3). Jewish tradition indicates that both the ram’s horn and the priestly silver horns (hazozerah) were used in the Feast of Trumpets.
The Feast of Trumpets was important for several reasons. First, it commemorated the end of the agricultural and festival year. Also, the Day of Atonement fell on the tenth day of this month, and the Festival of Booths began on the fifteenth day. The blowing of the trumpets on first day of the month heralded a solemn time of preparation for the Day of Atonement; this preparation time was called “Ten Days of Repentance” or the “Days of Awe.” The trumpet sound was an alarm of sorts and can be understood as a call to introspection and repentance.
The Feast of Trumpets, along with the other six festivals of the LORD, foreshadowed certain aspects of the ministry of Jesus Christ. The prophets linked the blowing of trumpets to the future Day of Judgment: “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand” (Joel 2:1; see also Zephaniah 1:14, 16).
In the New Testament, we see that the Lord’s Second Coming will be accompanied by the sound of a trumpet (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Each of the judgments in Revelation 8-9 is also signaled by a trumpet. Just as the shofar called the Jewish nation to turn their attention to the Lord and ready themselves for the Day of Atonement, so will the “trump of God” call us to heaven and warn the world of coming judgment.
The Feast of Tabernacles, also known as the Feast of Booths and Sukkot, is the seventh and last feast that the Lord commanded Israel to observe and one of the three feasts that Jews were to observe each year by going to “appear before the Lord your God in the place which He shall choose” (Deuteronomy 16:16). The importance of the Feast of Tabernacles can be seen in how many places it is mentioned in Scripture. In the Bible we see many important events that took place at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles. For one thing, it was at this time that Solomon’s Temple was dedicated to the Lord (1 Kings 8:2).
It was also at the Feast of Tabernacles that the Israelites, who had returned to rebuild the temple, gathered together to hear Ezra proclaim the Word of God to them (Nehemiah 8). Ezra’s preaching resulted in a great revival as the Israelites confessed their sins and repented of them. It was also during this Feast that Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37–39).
The Feast of Tabernacles takes place on the 15th of the Hebrew month Tishri. This was the seventh month on the Hebrew calendar and usually occurs in late September to mid-October. The feast begins five days after the Day of Atonement and at the time the fall harvest had just been completed. It was a time of joyous celebration as the Israelites celebrated God’s continued provision for them in the current harvest and remembered His provision and protection during the 40 years in the wilderness.
As one of the three feasts that all “native born” male Jews were commanded to participate in, the Feast of Tabernacles is mentioned multiple times in Scripture, sometimes called the Feast of the Ingathering, the Feast to the Lord, or the Feast of Booths (Exodus 23:16; Deuteronomy 16:13). As one of the pilgrim feasts (when Jewish males were commanded to go to Jerusalem), it was also the time when they brought their tithes and offerings to the Temple (Deuteronomy 16:16). With the influx of people coming to Jerusalem at that time, we can only imagine what the scene must have been like. Thousands upon thousands of people coming together to remember and celebrate God’s deliverance and His provision, all living in temporary shelters or booths as part of the requirements of the feast. During the eight-day period, so many sacrifices were made that it required all twenty-four divisions of priests to be present to assist in the sacrificial duties.
We find God’s instructions for celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles in Leviticus 23, given at a point in history right after God had delivered Israel from bondage in Egypt. The feast was to be celebrated each year on “the fifteenth day of this seventh month” and was to run for seven days (Leviticus 23:34). Like all feasts, it begins with a “holy convocation” or Sabbath day when the Israelites were to stop working to set aside the day for worshiping God. On each day of the feast they were to offer an “offering made by fire to the Lord” and then after seven days of feasting, again the eighth day was to be “a holy convocation” when they were to cease from work and offer another sacrifice to God (Leviticus 23). Lasting eight days, the Feast of Tabernacles begins and ends with a Sabbath day of rest. During the eight days of the feast, the Israelites would dwell in booths or tabernacles that were made from the branches of trees (Leviticus 23:40–42).
The Feast of Tabernacles, like all the feasts, was instituted by God as a way of reminding Israelites in every generation of their deliverance by God from Egypt. Of course, the feasts are also significant in that they foreshadow the work and actions of the coming Messiah. Much of Jesus’ public ministry took place in conjunction with the Holy Feasts set forth by God.
“What does it mean that Jesus is the Lamb of God?” Answer: When Jesus is called the Lamb of God in John 1:29 and John 1:36, it is referring to Him as the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for sin. In order to understand who Christ was and what He did, we must begin with the Old Testament, which contains prophecies concerning the coming of Christ as a “guilt offering” (Isaiah 53:10). In fact, the whole sacrificial system established by God in the Old Testament set the stage for the coming of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect sacrifice God would provide as atonement for the sins of His people (Romans 8:3; Hebrews 10). The sacrifice of lambs played a very important role in the Jewish religious life and sacrificial system. When John the Baptist referred to Jesus as the “Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29), the Jews who heard him might have immediately thought of any one of several important sacrifices. With the time of the Passover feast being very near, the first thought might be the sacrifice of the Passover lamb. The Passover feast was one of the main Jewish holidays and a celebration in remembrance of God’s deliverance of the Israelites from bondage in Egypt. In fact, the slaying of the Passover lamb and the applying of the blood to doorposts of the houses (Exodus 12:11-13) is a beautiful picture of Christ’s atoning work on the cross. Those for whom He died are covered by His blood, protecting us from the angel of (spiritual) death. Another important sacrifice involving lambs was the daily sacrifice at the temple in Jerusalem. Every morning and evening, a lamb was sacrificed in the temple for the sins of the people (Exodus 29:38-42). These daily sacrifices, like all others, were simply to point people towards the perfect sacrifice of Christ on the cross. In fact, the time of Jesus’ death on the cross corresponds to the time the evening sacrifice was being made in the temple. The Jews at that time would have also been familiar with the Old Testament prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah, who foretold the coming of One who would be brought “like a lamb led to the slaughter” (Jeremiah 11:19; Isaiah 53:7) and whose sufferings and sacrifice would provide redemption for Israel. Of course, that person was none other than Jesus Christ, “the Lamb of God.” While the idea of a sacrificial system might seem strange to us today, the concept of payment or restitution is still one we can easily understand. We know that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and that our sin separates us from God. We also know the Bible teaches we are all sinners and none of us is righteous before God (Romans 3:23). Because of our sin, we are separated from God, and we stand guilty before Him. Therefore, the only hope we can have is if He provides a way for us to be reconciled to Himself, and that is what He did in sending His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross. Christ died to make atonement for sin and to pay the penalty of the sins of all who believe in Him. It is through His death on the cross as God’s perfect sacrifice for sin and His resurrection three days later that we can now have eternal life if we believe in Him. The fact that God Himself has provided the offering that atones for our sin is part of the glorious good news of the gospel that is so clearly declared in 1 Peter 1:18-21: “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.”
