For since each hand hath put on nature’s pow'r, Fairing the foul with art’s false borrowed face, Sweet beauty hath no name, no holy bow'r, But is profaned, if not lives in disgrace.

i drown
i drown
i drown
in the mist, that is me
in the ocean, that is you
in the coldness of your touch
i drown.
a reflection in your eyes;
it does not smile back at me.
i cannot take it so i disguise
the unfaltering despise
and in my pretense,
i drown.
for the burning ashes in you,
i watch the fire rage.
for the smoldering embers in me,
an arson that i killed;
in the heat, i drown.
the red of you
the grey of me
in the black within us
in the white between us
i drown.
father taught me to swim
mother said fight back
and yet, as i sink
i close my eyes
and in myself,
i drown.

Corrupted!Verse:
Esaias has finally lost to his powers- the fight all Seers eventually lose, the fight for their grip on reality.  Esaias has all but lost his ability to see Reality and is near-permanently stuck viewing nothing but the nonsensical shapes of information that make up everything in the world.  He knows almost everything the moment he Sees it, but makes up for it in being completely bat-shit insane.  Nothing if not very little of his previous timid personality remains.
Celia, her pet and anchor having lost his grip on the world, has lost herself as well, and has gone back to simply devouring anything that doesn’t please her.  Esaias’ brief periods of lucidity keep her from simply destroying everything she touches, but even more than before, anything that threatens Esaias becomes food for her shadows.
Future!Verse:
Esaias is a fully functional adult, having finally found a means of hiding his eyes, but his grasp on his powers hasn’t improved much.  While he’s learned to interpret some of what he Sees to his benefit, the vast majority of the time it’s still too much, and he comes off as a chronic migraine patient.  Due to the number of healthy relationships he’s built before and since his ‘incident’, he has a much more healthy and hearty appearance, and while he’s still socially paranoid, but he’s not quite as nervous when walking around.
Celia hasn’t changed much if at all.  If anything, she’s even more prideful since her ‘pet’ has gained several accomplishments.
Sub Verse || Sun!Verse:
Esaias has long passed, and now is the era of his descendants.  Celia is somewhat like a family God, and is treated less like a nuisance or companion and more like something to be revered and worshiped as a result of her species being Legendary in nature.   Ypóloipo  is the youngest of the current generation of descendants at a whopping 8yo, but, while he’s rambunctious and far more energetic that her ‘pet’,  Ypól  is the one who resembles Esaias the most- treating her more like an equal rather than a God.  He catches a lot of flack from his family for it, but they’re just jealous because she likes him best.
Sub Verse || Resurrected!Verse:
An extension of Sun!Verse, Esaias has been reborn as one of his own descendants over 1,000 years after his death.  He claims the new name Anastasios (or Stasi for short) though and vehemently denies having any memory of his former self.  He’s determined to live a life untouched by his old one, but Celia and Balia seem to have other ideas about that.
Sub Verse || Idol!Verse
Three years have passed since Esaias’ violent incident, and, through his sister, has managed to get scouted for an idol duo.  He’s gradually learning to live as a normal person with normal relationships now that Erebus can provide him an illusion that helps him pass as ‘normal’, but he still struggles with controlling his ever-growing abilities.  He works hard to keep his abilities and past a secret, and that in and of itself can be stressful for him, but overall he’s a lot happier.
Sub Verse || Detective!Verse
Six years have passed since Esaias’ violent incident, and while he’s still doing work as a musician, he’s also been brought in to help INTERPOL with some of their cases due to his abilities and familiarity with the criminal underworld.  Eventually, they took to giving him cases of his own, and it’s now somewhat of a real job for him.  Esaias is completely out to the public with his abilities and past, and although he’s back to being involved with the black market, it’s in a much more satisfying role.
Alternate Universes:
Sub Verse || Story of Seasons:
In reality, it’s more of a branch off of Sun!Verse- Esaias, Miguel, and Balia have all been trapped in a dream- a blissful dream where they can live out the lives they always wanted but never had.  Balia owns a farm, having adopted Esaias who has taken on a much more normal appearance, and they live together with Miguel and Mika.  Mika and Esaias attend school together and get up to shenanigans, and Esaias finally experiences getting to be normal (if not a bit too smart for his age).  It’s only a matter of time before that dream comes crumbling down around them though...

important notes: this is my about and my main verse, v. free woman, and because I am canon divergent I have to ask you to take the time to read at least the bolded parts of ‘before and during the trilogy’ and all of ‘after the trilogy’ so you know what to expect. I’m not happy with her canon finale, so I will not be writing her raising Will’s child as a single mother, and characters from following movies would have to interact with Elizabeth after a bit of plotting/changes in timeline, thank you.   There are other verses all of you can check out at the bottom, to explore different aus/canon divergences/what ifs scenarios, knowing that everything can be changed/plotted so that your muse doesn’t feel goodmodded..
Tumblr media
BEFORE AND DURING THE TRILOGY
Elizabeth's mother, Rose, was happy with her ordinary life as a lady, mother and wife. She was also curious, a day-dreamer, who encouraged Elizabeth to dream too, and to learn whatever her heart wished, as long as she would keep in mind that she’d have to follow society’s expectations when older, at least enough not to bring them shame. Rose also loved traveling, so whenever it was possible and appropriate she'd visit new places with her family - which was led her to an early death at sea. This is one of the reasons Elizabeth, who took a big interest in pirates, was allowed to read every book on the subject she could find, to the point of knowing pirate songs by the time she moved to Port Royal; that and her father being so loving and soft to her. Her mother is still a big influence in her life, a drive to do what she thinks is right and not only what she's told, and Elizabeth has warm memories of their life as a child and of how much her parents loved each other. Which is also why Elizabeth does not hate everything about her life as a 'lady': she did show genuine happiness at the sight of the new dress her father gifted her (until she tried it on and it was too tight), there is no reason why she shouldn't like social events involving dancing, or for some decorum to not be appreciated. On the other hand, a woman living in those times had limited options, too limited for Elizabeth, who expected Will to address her by name and not titles, who finds intimacy in breaking protocol, who does enjoy the freedom that comes from ignoring rules that mean nothing to her and have no real use (and of course in following her own rules and morals, for example waiting until the wedding night to be with Will despite clearly wanting it that badly). She enjoys adventures, swordfighting, leaving propriety behind in favor of honesty and closeness.
For these reasons Elizabeth never got close to other ladies growing up, feeling they wouldn't understand, and why I believe she never truly saw James Norrington for what he was, the qualities of him she could have appreciated, or not until it was too late.
After the Curse Of The Black Pearl, Elizabeth and Will find out that they have too many communication problems to work, not sharing their deepest thoughts and pains, not knowing how to end fights - defensiveness, leaving the room in the middle of an argument. So they end up 'breaking up' before they ruin their relationship entirely. This sends Elizabeth down a spiral of self-doubt and self-discovery, because something she believed certain was gone so easily, and because she found herself unable to lean on the man she thought she'd love forever. Who was she meant to be? Could she be good and rebellious, true to herself and happy, but also make her loved ones happy? Once Beckett arrests them, things progress the way they do in the movies except for her and Will being romantically together, and any deviation from canon beside that will depend on our threads. It’s unlikely that Jack and James would know about the breakup before she tells them.
AFTER THE TRILOGY
If everything has gone like in canon, and our threads are set after, Elizabeth has taken her belongings from her father's house, which she can't inherit because she's an unmarried woman and will go to her cousin. He'd be willing to let her have it but she can't imagine living in it without her father, so she uses her pirate king title to get a smaller place on an island nearby, from where she can be given a ride to Shipwreck Island when needed there.
Thing is, Elizabeth's idea of freedom feels limited as pirate king too, since she has to stomach horrible acts the other pirates do, and would find no happiness in attacking people who haven’t attacked her first. She has only been able to give a new rule: to leave women and children alone (unless the women are warriors attacking them). Anything more, like asking pirates to leave good people alone, is just not possible without a mutiny. Teague supports the king and most are terrified of him but there is only so much that can be imposed, and Elizabeth has to ignore other bad acts to keep his 'subjects' appeased enough to follow the few directions she gives.
So now Elizabeth is having little adventures there and then, involving secret treasures and legends, nothing to do with pillaging innocent villages, and trying to find compromises that will let her sleep at night, while also refusing to start a new life as a lady somewhere else, because she'd be suffocated by expectations and protocol. She will still do whatever it takes to survive, she’ll scheme and not even involve other people in her plans unless cornered or due to exceptional reasons, but she will still despise the idea of leaving someone behind if there is another choice, of not trying everything to save others, to be honorable even at personal risk. She certainly does appreciate affection and some gentleman acts in her direction, she just doesn’t want to be bothered with the “coldness” that comes from being proper.  And yes, she still intends to wait until married to have a ‘wedding night’, her moral compass matters to her no matter what people expect of her as a pirate or as a woman. And her moral compass says she must keep fighting until she feels she has found the perfect balance between everything she wants and what life will give her.
little headcanons: -her father has a brother in London, who married and had two children, Mary and Anthony. Anthony is the older cousin who approved of Elizabeth’s ‘odd’ behaviors when they were kids and is now married to a woman who would also like her. For this reason he would help her with money and shelter if ever needed. Mary is determined to be proper and quite judgy, and will embarrass her to death if given the chance. -Elizabeth loves dancing, walks, reading, watching plays and playing boardgames.  -she has some pretty mundane wishes when it comes to her future family
OTHER VERSES
v. mrs turner. for will rpers only: they don’t break up after the first movie, and events can follow the next movies or be completely different in threads. Point is they stick together and navigate this new relationship - which after all is a big change after years of keeping proper distance.
v. hold on. she doesn’t break up her engagement with James Norrington even if she does help Jack escape his hanging - whether because not in love with Will or because Will never confessed his feelings. In the second movie she’s likely looking for James in Tortuga on top of wanting to free Will, and ends up joining Jack anyway.
v. follow the compass. threads about random plots like ‘soulmates au’ and the like. The events of the movie can or cannot happen depending on what we’ll decide.
v. fine woman. threads where the movies haven’t happened (or not yet and will happen later than in canon), and Elizabeth is living her life as a lady and growing sadder, longing for more. The stories will start from there. This includes threads with Will or James where their relationship develops in a different way (slightly younger Elizabeth etc.)
v. bring me the horizon. threads where the movies haven’t happened or not yet but one way or another she runs away looking for adventure. May or may not be kidnapped and brought to Tortuga. Her reputation ruined, she has to make a life there.
v. gilded ship. after the events of the movie, regardless of other differences from canon, she can’t return home because she has been ‘outed’ as pirate in most lands, being the king and all, and has to adapt to a pirate’s life and/or look for other options because she doesn’t want to be trapped that way either.
v. captain. one way or another, it’s Elizabeth who succeeds Davy Jones. Threads can be set before, maybe during, and of course after, when she comes ‘home’.

Verses page
It’s a start.
Main: This verse runs anywhere from the Kalm Incident to just before he ‘retires’. This can cover any sort of interaction and if you have a specific point in time within this timeline that you want to do, let me know!
Before Kalm: Before Kalm runs from the Kalm Incident to Veld first forming the group which would later come to be known as the TURKS. If you want young, new Dad Veld who’s not bitter and jaded yet, this is for you.
Pre-ShinRa: Mercenary Veld! Before he was Director Dragoon, he was a sword for hire in Wutai with his three best friends, protecting noble young ladies and assassinating clan leaders.
Retirement: Don’t let the one arm and white hair fool you. He may be 70 and older but he can still kick your ass. Living in Wutai once more, Veld continues to run an intelligence gathering operation because he doesn’t know how to relax. That being said, you’ll find him playing checkers and drinking tea every Saturday morning in a tea house with all the other old people (or showing some young fool how to do one armed push ups).
Mafia: Director Veld Dragoon of the CIA leads something of a double life; he’s also the head of the Dragoon family mafia. Not much different from the TURK verses really, just set in New York City.
Jedi Master Dragoon: Star Wars crossover! Set mostly pre Duel of the Fates. A master in exotic weapons and probably walking the line of being a Gray Jedi, Veld struggles with doing what he believes is right and what the Counsel believes is right, and the loss of his Padawan. Being of similar mindset and ideas, he's good friends with Qui-Gon Jinn

About & Verses
Name- Gabriel. Age- Far, far older than the Earth. Name Used Upon Earth- Gabriel Christian. D.O.B Used Upon Earth- 25th, December, 1971.
Verses
Gabriel will be portrayed within 1 of the following verses- Verse 1- Gabriel still spends the majority of his time in Heaven, attempting to handle the mess that was caused by the War not happening. He does, however, venture down to Earth often. Sometimes to keep an eye on Aziraphale & Crowley & Sometimes out of curiosity as to why the two wanted to protect the people of the planet. Verse 2- Unhappy with how Gabriel acted and how he handled everything involved with the War against Hell, God banished him down to Earth. At least temporarily. He now has to attempt to blend in and forge a life. Which is not as easy as the Archangel had expected it to be. Verse 3- As in Verse 2, Gabriel has been banished down to Earth but, in this verse, his memory of who and what he truly is has been wiped and he has no idea who he is or where he came from. Only the name Gabriel is in his mind but he has no idea why. //Biography In Progress. Verses May Be Subject To Alteration.//

Ruby: Verses
Tumblr media
DEFAULT VERSE: Double-Agent And Aid To The Winchesters (Ruby)
Ruby approaches Sam Winchester with the promise that she can save Dean from Hell. Slowly but surely, she builds an alliance with the two hunters. The alliance only strengthens, when Dean dies and Ruby ‘aids’ Sam through his grief. She promises him that she can help him uncover powers, which he can use to murder Lilith, who Sam makes responsible for Dean’s entrappment in Hell. What Sam does not know, is that Ruby has her own agenda. She is loyal to Lucifer and prepares the rise of her master.
SURVIVOR VERSE: Still Alive (Ruby)
When Dean stabbed Ruby in her lower abdomen, the demon knife should have murdered her. But Ruby, always being a few steps ahead, has hidden a hexbag in her inner jacket pocket. That hexbag contained a spell, which dampened the affect of the demon knife. While Ruby didn’t die, she was near fatally wounded and had to go into hiding. Because of her involvement with the Winchesters, Hell branded Ruby as a traitor. As if that is not enough, Crowley, now the King of Hell, is cracking down on the Lucifer Loyalists. Ruby finds herself confronted from all sides: Heaven, Hell and Hunters. But Ruby is anything if not a survivor and master escapist.
WITCH VERSE: When Praying Doesn’t Cut It Anymore (Ruby)
Germany, approximately 1350. The town of Munich is in the claws of the plague. A young woman, having already lost her younger sibling to the dark disease, decides to sell her soul to the demon Astaroth in an attempt to guide her family through the darkest hour, Europe has ever seen. While she has to handle this toil, ‘Ruby’ also gets familiarised with some of the darkest secrets, known to man.
YOUNG DEMON VERSE: Raise A Little Hell (Ruby)
After her death, the woman gets placed on the rack and tortured by Astaroth, until her soul corrupts and she becomes a demon herself. This demon goes by the name of Ruby. Serving under Astaroth, she gets introduced to Azazael and Lilith, where she leaves a vital impression upon the high ranking demons in Hell. Ruby gets introduced to the cause of freeing Lucifer. Something, she quickly becomes attached to as it brings order into the mess, that is hell.

Verses
Thomas’ primary verse is canon divergent & details can be found on his about page. As this is his primary verse, it will not be tagged.
BEFORE SAILS
This verse will cover all events & interactions that take place before the events of the series.
DURING SAILS
This verse will cover any events & interactions that take place during the canon version of what happens to Thomas during the events of the series.
AFTER SAILS
This verse will be set after the canon version of what happens to Thomas during the events of the series.
LIFE OF PIRACY
Thomas befriends an orderly during his time at Bethlem and after 2 years have passed since he first arrived, the orderly tells him that he can get him out and onto a ship away from England. Not wishing to endure any  more of what he had experienced, Thomas accepts the mans help.
The orderly smuggles Thomas out of Bethlem and to the docks. When introduced to the Captain of the ship, he gave the only name he had in his mind that he could want - McGraw.
Thomas quickly learned from the crew how to operate the things on board the ship. It didn’t take long for him to realise that the crew were in fact pirates. What surprised him about the realisation was that he felt comfortable amongst them. None of them judging him for anything about who he was within himself.
They taught him multiple things over the years and Thomas quickly found that he was rather adept at sword fighting and a fine shot with a pistol.
He rose up through the ranks until he became Quartermaster. Developing a reputation for only taking a life when necessary but being cunning and completely ruthless when the time called for it.

about & verses (or my hot take on Elizabeth Swann). Read at least the main verse after the about if you skip this part, to know what I’ll write by default.
about my Elizabeth (again, you can skip to the next section)
I write Elizabeth as clever, opinionated, bold (but without being too scandalous unless it’s truly necessary). But I don’t see her as hating everything about her regular life, I see her as wanting adventure, freedom, which women in her world pretty much lack if they aren’t criminals, but also as genuinely wanting to be married as soon as she feels she found the one so she won’t have to compromise her values, and wants to have a ‘safe place to go back to’ whenever her curiosity is sated, which can be one person too; she would find being always at sea a limitation too because she must have choices. She won’t hate all women’s clothes but only the ones that are uncomfortable, won’t hate the social events as much as the formalities and boringness that comes from most of the people invited, and could enjoy them in the right company and forgetting some unnecessary ‘proper’ ways to behave. Will not calling her by name despite having known each other for years ends up insulting her, after all.  She’s ready to do anything to get what she wants, like kissing Jack to distract him when she wants to chain him to his ship or agreeing to a proposal in the heat of the moment, but also as someone with enough heart and ability to feel guilt Elizabeth will try her best to make amends after, even if she doesn’t often apologize nor explains her reasons until cornered. I do believe that for a moment there, when convinced things wouldn’t work with Will, she saw James Norrington as a viable option for a husband even if she didn’t love him, simply because he is a fine man, someone she clearly got along with (once past the awkwardness). He wasn’t fully her type, he was formal, he followed all the rules without complaint, but after all she clearly intended to follow what was expected to her too, even if she wanted more. But at the same time her yes to his proposal, while not given lightly, was not as unconditional as she claimed when first made, it gave him a reason to follow her requests, and after she could turn it unconditional and claim the truth only because she knew the commodore wouldn’t take his word back either.
Basically: she will not compromise her morals (however what’s acceptable to her might not be to others) or take the easy way out, to her it's unthinkable to leave everyone behind and running away if the option to fight and save them exists, but at the same time when it's a lost battle she does expect a brave sacrifice (see Jack and the Kraken) or she will make it happen. Not all that is proper is bad or boring, the problem is the limitations she has to face as a woman, and daughter of a governor at that, and her father never actually discouraged her from following her heart if it wasn't actively hurting her (including pointing out Will as a viable option too). She wants a good man with a rebellious and adventurous streak. She adores her father. She feels good being the pirate king and at ease around pirates, she definitely enjoys learning everything she can, and she’d want to find a way to work and keep herself occupied regardless of how her life goes - as much as possible in her situation, but would not want to be a pirate for love because of all the things that the job entails in reality and her wish to be able to choose what to do and when to be on land. I also see her as having serious communication problems with Will that need to be solved (he didn’t share his worries about her being in love with Jack, she didn’t share what she had done or how she felt, and the first time they addressed it in ended in her leaving the room). Whether I write with a Will rper and they are together or they broke up, that’s something to be solved if we want a ship.
 She’s a mix of traits because her world is too small for her before the first movie, but I also doubt she’d want to live as a pirate for long with everything that it entails in reality. I will come up with more personalized headcanons here.
two (admittedly norribeth) metas have inspired me to explore her character in general, here and here. Not a must read, only if you are curious.
verses - note that I will not impose my headcanons about her relationships with a character on people who play said character, but only allow her to express them with others:
v. free woman. main verse. she and Will break up before the wedding due to their communication problems (and more reasons) and that will cause a certain amount of insecurities and soul-searching. She will fight to free Will just as much and follow the rest of the main plots. Obviously threads will explore the differences from canon, but it wasn’t romance the driving point of the next two movies and we can assume they looked for Davy Jones’ heart, she gave Jack to the Kraken, etc. If you don’t play Will and the thread is set in the second movie, your muse might need to be told they broke up. If you play Will you can ask for v. mrs turner as default. If threads are set after the movies she’s keeping Will’s heart safe regardless of their relationship status and trying to build a new life (maybe away from Port Royal or maybe not, details are thread-dependent) while also dealing with random Pirate King’s duties, very likely having more adventures every now and then with Jack, since with him she won’t have to commit or condone horrors that she would never accept. She’d also get to slowly deal with the constant traumas and losses starting from her father’s death.
v. mrs turner. for will rpers only: they don’t break up after the first movie, and events can follow the next movies or be completely different in threads.
