Okay I understand where people are coming from with the "emotional suppression in Vulcans is learned not genetic" talk re: "Charades" but, consider......... the emotional suppression is muscle memory, and the aliens took away the mental muscles that remembered how to do it. It's a crude metaphor on my part, but that was the way I saw it.
Also consider: it's a sci fi show using extremely high-concept bullcrap science on a weekly basis and maybe nitpicking it is a fruitless endeavor because none of it is going to make sense otherwise and enjoying the ride for what it is is a much more enjoyable way to engage with this franchise. Sometimes you need to shrug and let dumb things happen and laugh.

i KNOW i said i'd draw putt putt branch but i cant control the vibe and the vibe rn is feral clay
he vaguely remembers floyd. vaguely. he knows floyd was...there. at some point when his mind was whole. but he cant see where he'd be. a lot of his past memories were pushed away to make room for survival instinct, so his memories mostly consist of good ones with (Sp)Bruce and the night he left, the argument with JD mostly
floyd's kinda be pushed to the back of his mind, so its like meeting someone new. Clay smells death on him. Decay. But he stands and talks like a living creature.
Floyd confuses Clay. He calls him Pink. He'll remember his name eventually.

This isn't a headcanon but I'm dying to know why you know so much about starfish and how you've had to use it
The reason is that my first ever summer job required me to dissect one starfish per week, a responsibility that I was informed of three days before having to do so (thank you management). I taught myself using YouTube. :) While I've never actually been in a situation again where I've needed to dissect one, I do keep stumbling across conversations where people have oddly specific starfish questions that nobody expects me (Not At All A Biologist) to know the answer to, so I guess the skills remain useful somehow!

The white lab coat was worn commonly by doctors in 1889 and onwards, and was created a few years prior. Before that, doctors and surgeons would wear darker coats or frocks (usually black) when conducting their procedures. This dates back to around the 1300s or even before with barber surgeons.
In conclusion, THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR DR HENRY JEKYLL TO NOT BE WEARING PROPER LABORATORY ATTIRE WHEN DOING HIS SCIENCEY SHIT

I’ve been thinking about the Eighth, for “My brain really wants to do something fanficcy with Silas Octakiseron backing himself into a fatal contradiction” reasons, and so I got to thinking about the planetary set-up, and the general conclusion that it’s probably on or around Uranus. And, well, I’d never really looked at a picture of Uranus, you know? Not a photograph. I’d seen illustrations, and models, and so on, but I’d never really looked at a photo of it. And now I have, and I’ve got just one question:
Why do you have such a baby planet, one the color of mayonnaise?

Posting my bullshit AU while gods not looking-
Give a warm welcome to the BLACK MESA SCIENTISTS! As a team they’re hanging on by the skin of their teeth but by god they are GOING to play splorts if it’s the last thing they do. As it very well may be.
I’m new to Blaseball so big thankie to @goldpilot22 for being my technical consultant for the statblocks. If I fucked anything up it’s their fault. This includes fucking up Bubby’s pronouns. (/j)
Inspiration is I saw https://at.tumblr.com/melonsharks/baseball-baseball-baseball-baseball-baseball/jvjbaxzvex67 <- this sickass drawing and for a good moment drove myself crazy because HLVRAI BLASEBALL REAL? But it wasn’t real, I was just stupid. It is real now though. Just what you always wanted, maybe. Or not. Who cares.

❝ Isn't this neat?! One could make the joke that even the universe has questions !! ⸺⸻ Those bound to Earth would not see scientific phenomena without the aid of the James Webb Space Telescope, it's a super cool invention! ❞
[ FUN SCIENCE FACTS WITH NADIA -> The James Webb Space Telescope works through using infrared light, which cannot be perceived by the human eye. The telescope has four scientific instruments scientifically designed to capture infrared light. The range of wavelengths on the electromagnetic spectrum range from visible red to mid-infrared. The wavelength coverage is from 600 to 28,500 nanometers, or 0.6 to 28.5 microns. 1 micron is one millionth of one meter. ]
[ MORE FROM NADIA -> The four instruments that the JWST uses is collaborative of the the Canadian-made NIRISS, NIRCam from NASA, NIRSpec contributed by the European Space Agency or ESA for short, and the MIRI from NASA and ESA! Isn't it so exciting to know the scientists around the world are friends and make cool things like the JWST together! ]
