Some follow up messages from my previous anon and posts
I would like to point out that sometimes being hit by a car IS a quick death. If an animal gets hit head on, sometimes they’re lucky enough that the brain trauma just kills them almost instantly.
However, once again, I would like to stress (and so would all these other people) that getting hit by a car is usually not a good way to die and therefore using it as a reason to let your cats outside rather than keeping them in (see previous anon on my blog) is absolutely ABSURD.
It finally happened! Someone showed me a photo of their neutered male’s erection and asked why he still has balls if he’s been neutered

Mad respect for surgeons who use laparoscopic instruments in surgery. I got to practice with one in our simulation lab, and heck, it’s the grabber claw game on “Maximum Difficulty and Struggle” mode
I mean, fun to learn, but that takes some serious skill!

Say hi to Bob 👋
20/10- Bob’s a rescue who had a nasty fall at the start of lockdown ( A cat??! Falling??! 🤷) and now is paraplegic. But he’s such a good boy even when I’m squeezing his bladder and guts out( He needs someone to help him go pee pee and poop because he can’t do it himself ❗) and giving him oral meds( which he needs to relax his bladder walls and to prevent any infection from urine being stored in there) Spent the last week petsitting this guy and I never knew cats could be this patient ❤️
Gambá fêmea de aproximadamente 2 meses resgatada. A única sobrevivente de uma violência cometida por pura ignorância das pessoas.
Já se passaram 2 ou 3 semanas desde essa foto, ela continua firme e forte e sobreviverá.
❤️ i love my job
Okay so I get this a lot. Probably more than anything else I’m sporadically asked 😅
Sometimes I don’t answer them, sometimes I respond privately, sometimes I dance around the topic.
But that’s only because… I’m not entirely convinced you want to know? Like do you really want to know the grizzly details? Of animal injury, death or suffering?
Also there’s a good few that jump to mind for different reasons so like, ‘worst’ as in… trauma/injury? Upsetting for me? Owner reaction? A specific case? Abuse?
I don’t know guys, some of things we as vets and nurses/techs see are truly horrific and I’m not sure you really want them described in detail?
weirdest use for equipment you’ve ever seen/done? ill go first:
