How you meet.

You look completely fuckable in your outfit, and he’s not the only one that’s noticed it. There’s guys that stop mid-conversation to follow your movements as you walk by, childish wolf whistles like you’ll come on command (and maybe you will, but not like this Dabi thinks) or the ones that make an absolute fool of themselves by trying to talk to you. Those ones piss him off even more, because they think they actually have a chance with you. Dabi is far more subtle, and even with absolutely no game he’s still better than all these fuckers.

What’s worse is they always try and do it during a set, trying to shout in your ear over the loud riffs of music that blast through the speakers. Not that you’d want to talk to them anyway, but they could at least have some fucking etiquette right?

Dabi wasn’t jealous, he never got jealous— or at least that’s what he was telling himself as he decided to cut in. Crushing his plastic cup beneath a steel-toed combat boot as he made his way over to you. He was just doing his community service for the day, being a real philantophist— he was a fucking saint.

You stumble in shock as a guy twice your size barges past you with no regard, knocking your— very expensive— drink to the ground with no care. You’re already prepared to cuss the asshole out for having absolutely no manners a tatted hand reached out to grab his forearm.

“Better watch where you’re going, asshole.” Dabi speaks smoothly, his voice carries even over the loud music as the guy, who was preparing to fight, takes one look at him before backing down.

“What were you drinking, sweetheart?” Dabi motions to the plastic cup that now lay empty and lifeless between you as you tell him your drink of choice, “And I’ll take a beer since you made me miss the last fuckin’ song.”

You can’t hide that you’re grateful, even if you could’ve dealt with that guy yourself this was certainly much quicker. The drunk loser didn’t seem to know how to take no for an answer, even though your pretty much told him to fuck off it seemed far more affective coming from the broody male standing beside you now.

But what you don’t expect, is for the large, hulking brute of a man to actually come back with two drinks in his hands. Handing them off to the tatted guy before practically scampering away.

The guy hands you the drink with a smirk as he continues to stand beside you while the band plays, at least having the common courtesy not to interrupt their set.

And that’s how you find yourself waking up in your hotel room with a complete stranger and your fishnets ripped. And it works out for Dabi too because he scored a pretty girl, and he definitely didn’t book a hotel room.😭

when i was reading your info, i noticed a lot of softer qualities and a lot of deep and insightful thoughts. literally iwaizumi was the first person who popped into my head because truthfully, i think he would absolutely adore you (let me dive into this)

we all know iwaizumi is dependable. he’s shown time and time again that he can pick up the slack for seijoh when oikawa needs it. he also grows up to be a sexy athletic trainer which means his job is literally caring for people.

i think when he meets you, iwaizumi would genuinely be fascinated by you. i feel like you’re the type of people to have a class together and are paired up for group work simply because of seat proximity. you share some small talk and work on projects and slowly get to know each other. when you open up to him and start rambling about your interests, he’s a goner and he’s in love.

He finds your clumsiness quite endearing. So long as you’re not getting hurt, of course! But Halsin just can’t help but find you rather cute when you unintentionally fumble whatever you’re holding or stumble over something that most people wouldn’t. He thinks it’s probably the shocked or frustrated expression that appears on your face, and the startled gasp or the grouchy grumbling that follows. He’ll step in and help you out if needed, but don’t be too surprised if he stifles a chuckle and smiles warmly at you all the while. Once he picks up that you’re chronically clumsy, he finds himself subtly moving things out of your path that you might trip over, keeping areas a little less cluttered so there’s less for you to bump into or tip over.

He supports your desire to be part of something bigger than yourself. He even relates to it, in a way. Yes, it’s important to enjoy the simple, day-to-day things in life, and to value what you as an individual have accomplished, whether you’ve accomplished great things or not… But you live in a world that is full of other people, and you will leave a mark on history and this world some way or another. For Halsin, he’s been dedicated to fixing everything that went wrong with Moonrise Towers and the surrounding area since he felt partially responsible for what happened. He’s willing to take part in correcting this for the sake of other people and for the sake of healing the land. Perhaps it won’t affect him directly, perhaps he won’t be around to see everything heal, but it’s still important to him. And if you have a goal of some sort to contribute to the betterment of current society, future generations, or the land itself… He can’t help but admire that.

Halsin is actually really fond of your tendency to give gifts. He never really considered himself a big fan of gifts - he appreciates them, of course, but he never wanted others to feel obligated to gift him anything. But when they’re coming from you, he can’t help but melt, no matter if they’re just small "I thought of you" gifts or ones with more sentimental significance or purpose. He is also happy to return the favor! He’ll try not to overwhelm you with little wood figures that he’s whittled, but he loves making them with you in mind and seeing your face light up when he says it’s for you.

Halsin is relieved how open-minded and down-to-earth you are, despite your high elf culture and noble background. He has no quarrel with the various races of Faerun and tries to be mindful of stereotypes, but sometimes he can’t help but feel a bit of trepidation when thinking of larger cities and the more city-minded folk. Though high elves and wood elves have some similar traditions, they tend to have different cultures (especially for high elves raised in cities and wood elves who have largely spent most of their time in smaller communities surrounded by nature). But Halsin relaxes a lot when he realizes that you don’t hold the prejudice that some might, and that you’re willing to meet others on their level.

He is quite interested in your magic prowess and draconic bloodline. Halsin is no mage or sorcerer, but he obviously makes regular use of magic as a druid. He loves how versatile your magic is, ranging from destructive magic in the midst of battle, to practical spells that make life a bit more comfortable while traveling, to fun little spells that you cast with a flourish to entertain your companions. He’s also fascinated by any draconic features you might have as a result of your bloodline - he loves tracing the patches of scales that decorate your skin, and they always catch his eye when the sunlight hits them.

Halsin is useful to have around for any chronic health issues you have. You feel bad relying on him sometimes, and you don’t want him to feel obligated to care for you… but you’re important to him and he wants to help you. And considering how he’s well-known as a healer, he clearly has the ability to. With his knowledge and experience treating others, he is fully aware that chronic conditions can be difficult to manage and it’s extremely likely that you’ll encounter flare-ups despite your best efforts. He would never want you to feel bad for relying on him and he’ll make it clear that he’s doing this because he wants to, and that he’d care for you regardless if you were his partner or simply a friend. He can’t magically fix everything that ails you, but he’s happy when you let him take care of you.
