I can’t quite believe it! When I created this blog about a month ago I was not expecting anyone to follow it. It was simply a place for me to try and find some motivation and sometimes record my own study habits.

what are you studying? 

currently taking extension two mathematics, advanced english, chemistry, and biology 

after graduation, what’s next?

hoping to get into psychology at university! have yet to figure if i want to do a double degree, possibly business or marketing? also hoping down the track (far far down) to open a small cafe once i’ve established a stable career 

are you a morning or night person? 

i am a morning person! i’ve recently gotten into the habit of sleeping around 9pm, but occasionally do stay up if i’m hooked on a show or have too much homework 

best feedback from a teacher/professor? 

before my last exam block, my english teacher told me to ‘trust your instincts in an exam, rather than panicking and overthinking your arguments’ and i think that really helped me remember to have a little more faith in my own ideas 

best study tips?

for me, i struggle with focus when i study, and really like to sit down the night before and sort of block out which parts of the day i have time to study, and where and when i will feel most comfortable doing a certain task- for example, last night, i planned to annotate some poems this morning rather than do math homework, because i think best in the morning and would have more insightful analysis in the morning, and math for me is something that can be done more on ‘autopilot’ later in the day when i feel less motivated- so my tip is to figure out your most productive times of day, and prioritise your tasks based on that! (also get a good night’s sleep and stay hydrated) 

three fun facts (this one is also for the lil game i was tagged in from @inkxcloud <3)

1. my favourite drink is an iced mocha, closely followed by jasmine pearl milk tea 

2. the reason i want to open a cafe is because i love the idea of having regulars and becoming friends with them, as well as coming up with my own drink menu (i also just love talking to people) 

3. my favourite flavour of gum is spearmint
