Vicious reacting to falling in love

Let's be honest, when he first met you, it wasn't love at first sight. 

He doesn't believe in that, and even if he did, a long time ago, he got his heart broken because of it.

But one thing, he does notice, are your tenacity and persistence because somehow, you crawled your way into his heart.

If you do catch his attention, you're strong and witty. 

And if your personality is bubbly combined with sarcasm, then he actually starts to pay attention. 

Because of his past relationship, I feel Vicious would go for someone who's younger, a tomboy, and someone who's more childish and free. 

 For the relationship to start, you are going to make the first move. Even then, the man will reject you. 

Thus the chase begins. 

Frankly, Vicious doesn't get what you see in him. Deep down, he knows he's a hard pill to swallow and if you do become something, he'll let you down. 

He is an ambitious man, who doesn't care about killing and always gets what he wants. 

Everyone who knows you're in love tries to convince you otherwise. And while everyone might see his personality traits as negatives, you actually admire them. 

Whenever you strike up a conversation, he is cold and indifferent, but deep down, both of you know he's actually listening.  

To Vicious, Julia is an ex-lover; to Spike, she is a soulmate. So when you do enter into Vicious life, he desperately hopes you are his soulmate.

I really liked your cowboy bebop Headcanons. i wanted to ask a question, though, and you dont have to answer if you dont want to, but do you think Vicious also has self-harm scars but on parts of his body where it would be harder to notice also do you think this makes him a little bit more afraid of intimacy because he would have to show his scars? (If he isn't already scared of intimacy since he would have to trust others), I just wanted to know your thoughts on this.

I'll slap my response under a "read more," since we're wading into darker waters

(tw for discussions of self harm, maladaptive coping mechanisms and Vicious being vicious)

I don't think that Vicious would self-harm. While he would wear the scars of his punishments by the Syndicate and the fights that he's survived as trophies, I do not think that he would necessarily want to harm himself.

Vicious' life is the Syndicate. Anything that he would perceive as weakening his body and therefore could potentially damage his position would not be something that he would engage in.

In terms of intimacy, I don't think that Vicious has any problem with the physical act, but rather him losing his sense of control.

To bear your body to another means that you have to, in some degree, be open with them. Vicious cannot bear another person knowing him and he doesn't allow anyone to get close. It's why it was so easy for him to wrongfully accuse Gren and ruin his life.

It simply did not matter to Vicious. Other people aren't important to him.
