Antique Late Victorian English Sterling Silver Perfume Flask & Fitted Case

A fine antique English sterling silver perfume flask. With a tapered spiral form body and a conforming lid. Made by Gourdel, Vales, & Co. Together with its original fitted leather case. Simply a wonderful Late Victorian perfume flask! Date: 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. The lid retains only part of its original cork stopper so it likely no longer has a tight seal. The leather case has some losses (particularly one panel section at the base), some small apparent re-glues, and shows wear throughout. Otherwise, there are some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Maker: Gourdel, Vales, & Co. Marks: Struck with hallmarks for 1884 / Birmingham / Sterling / Gourdel, Vales, & Co.

Measurements: Length: ca. 143 mm Width: ca.29 mm Depth: ca. 25 mm Weight: ca. 37 g
