I went to 📌 Oslo in winter🧣. And I think I couldn't had chosen a better time to see another side of this amazing city.
The atmosphere is hard to be described through photos or words. They probably speak 10% of what reality is.
It's such a friendly city that no matter the season, Oslo fills you with joy: lots of cafés and restaurants when people sit outside even in November, some of the most weird art installation in Europe, free cultural museums and galleries to visit.
Plus the legacy of the mighty Vikings ⚓ and troll folklore stories that surround Oslo in pure enchantment. This is a short list of things to do in Oslo, even on a budget.
Hi Ces. I hope you don't mind me asking, pls don't feel inclined to answer. I'm planning a solo trip as I'm really in need of getting away from my friends & fam tbh! I'm not really a beach holiday person and much prefer a city break. I'm thinking of coming to Oslo for a couple days. I've had a real google and it seems like a very modern city, but are there any historical sights / buildings etc to see? Would you say it's worth a 4 night trip or you would recommend elsewhere over Oslo? Thank you xx
That depends, are you thinking of going now?
A 4 night trip is good for Oslo. Yes, there are other places I'd recommend in Norway over Oslo in terms of nature and sights, but those work better in the summer time so if you want a city break, then Oslo is the best choice. 😌 As for historical sights and buildings in Oslo, you have the Opera House, Vigelandsparken. Barcode, the castle perhaps, City Hall, the Munch museum - we don't really have that many architecturally amazing buildings here imo 😝
