Prompt #623
“Are we seriously having this conversation now?” [Hero] asked, stunned as they lowered their fists slightly.
“I’m just saying you should let your kid decide for themselves what they want to do, and who they want to be.” [Villain] frowned disappointedly at them.
“I do!” [Hero] scoffed.
“You’re forcing them to be a hero.” [Villain] stated, but the accusation was heavy in the air as it landed on [Hero].
[Hero] barked out a laugh, “I’m not forcing them to do anything! They want to be like me, they’ve always said they wanted to be like me!”
“Did they now?” [Villain]’s disapproval deepened their frown, “and did they say that before or after they learned what being a hero really meant? And how many times have they said it afterward?”

Gotham Incorrect Quotes Pt 36
Oswald, on the phone: Smash his kneecaps and he'll talk, okay?! I'm at a parent teacher conference! *hangs up phone*
Oswald: Anyways, you said Martin's enjoying finger painting, that's great.
-----------------------------------------
Ed: I may not be a saint, but I'm not horrible either. I've never found a wallet outside an IHOP and thought about returning it but saw the owner lived out of state so just took the cash and dropped the wallet back on the ground.
Lucius: The specificity of that makes me think you definitely did do that.
----------------------------------------
Jim: We said no shenanigans!
Oswald: It was a single shenanigan.
-----------------------------------------
Ed: I think murdering transphobes is perfectly alright, actually.
Oswald: In fact, I personally enjoy it!

Wrath, Chimera, and Rafi 2
Wrath didn’t particularly know what to expect when they arrived at the lab in question. A reinforced door was located in the corner just blocked from a common observer’s view by servers on one side and a bookcase on the other.
Chimera and Wrath studied the door for a second before Chimera attempted the same feat that broke down many of the more unfortunate doors in Void’s base. She blinked in surprise as her hand glanced off the door instead of it crumpling under her fist. After trying several more determined and varying forms of physical violence to break open the door Wrath finally stopped Chimera as she was about to launch a stool at the metal slab.
Wrath didn’t bother their own attempt; if Chimera couldn’t do it they’d change to a different tactic.
They radioed to the soldiers in the comm and control rooms requesting a mechanical technician to assist them. A minute later a latina woman who looked to be in her late twenties or early thirties jogged over with her tools. It was hard to tell. She’d been with them for a while if Wrath recalled correctly. They thought her name was Mia, good in hostage situations. Once a complaint had been sent to Chimera and Wrath by one of their more… distasteful employees about her always have snacks and eating anywhere at any time over her. Wrath had dismissed the complaint because it had never bothered them unless she forgot trash.
Mia examined the identification pad to the right of the door before selecting a screwdriver. The pad had three parts, the first was a hand scanner, the second was to verify an identification card, and the third was a keypad to enter a passcode. She pried the hand scanner off the console and shined a light inside. Neither supervillain could follow what she was doing as they waited.Ten minutes in, Wrath requested progress reports from every team currently assigned a task. Twenty minutes in, Chimera began checking her text messages. Almost two hours of waiting later the door slid open. Mia bowed to them and gave a dramatic flourish to the hallway beyond the mysterious door.
Chimera rushed in without acknowledging Mia and drew her gun. Wrath nodded and followed at a more relaxed pace. More labs with see-through walls greeted them. Wrath noticed rooms clearly meant for testing explosives and others clearly meant to hold chemicals. Chimera had stopped halfway down the hallway and was staring into one of the rooms. Wrath came up beside her and saw what she was staring at. A man, caucasian with dark hair, had a plant growing out of him. Wrath first thought he was dead, how could he be alive? But they noticed a heart monitor hooked up nearby slowly beeping away.
A quiet gasp sounded behind them interrupted their horrified reverie. Both whirled to see Mia had followed them. Chimera’s eyes were narrowed, Wrath didn’t particularly want her to tail them either. Mia didn’t seem to catch on to their feelings as she spoke,
“What did they do to him?” Chimera snorted,
“Don’t tell me you’ve never heard the rumors? You know, Void's extremely inhuman experiments on people he doesn’t like?” Mia looked down to the ground.
“I didn’t expect… I didn't think they'd be this bad.” Chimera snorted again and Wrath Turned away. Mia clearly decided Wrath was the safer option when she turned to follow them. Behind the Wrath heard Chimera calling this in.
Luckily there were no more human subjects as they continued.
Chimera waited until she was relatively sure Wrath and that girl couldn’t couldn’t hear her before she let out a shaky breath. This was a lot. She had thought she knew what they were going to face. Torture was one thing, this was a whole other ballpark. Poor guy, she’d have to make sure to break even more of Void’s toys.
She waited another moment to collect herself before rushing after the other two. Wrath was taking their sweet time and the girl was looking wide-eyed at everything. Chimera silently vowed to kill every one of those ‘scientists’.
Again it was Chimera who found the next victim. This one couldn’t really be older than twelve, maybe fourteen at most. Chimera wasn’t around enough kids to be able to identify their age. A small body with something light pink on and wrapped around them was curled in a corner of a sterile white cell. It took Chimera several seconds to realize the pink covering was hair. The girl tapped on the glass and it startled up. One second it was curled up sleeping, the next they were already on all fours baring fangs. Their fluffy hair appeared to go almost to their waist. What looked like tails were fanned out behind it.
“Open it.” Wrath was looking at the girl. She snapped out of a daze and nodded. She quickly went to work on the door. Soon it was open. Chimera was first into the room.
The child hissed at her and lunged. If it weren’t for chains holding them back, Chimera had no doubt they would have gone for her throat. Now that they were close, Chimera could see the blown up pupils in the child’s eyes and their quivering muscles.
Against her better judgment Chimera crouched down and extended a hand. She heard Wrath pulling a clipboard out of a plastic container just in the door. The child attempted to lung again to bite her but Chimera kept her hand still. Their fangs dug into Chimera’s glove but couldn’t reach her skin, Chimera’s gloves were ridiculously strong. Behind her Wrath turned on their comm but Chimera couldn’t hear them. The child didn’t either, it seemed.
Suddenly Wrath crouched beside her and pulled off their jacket.
“Mia, close the door.” Both women stared at them.
“What?” Chimera shared that sentiment, Wrath only glanced at her.
“We’re taking him with us, and he’ll probably attempt to run the second the shackles come off.”
“He?” Mia asked. Wrath looked like they were silently judging both of them but pointed to the clipboard they’d held earlier. They shook their head and turned to Chimera.
“When I break the chains, subdue them and don't let him bite you. Mia, I already told you what to do so close the door.” When they were in position Wrath signaled to them and suddenly broke the chains holding the child. Chimera yanked him forward by his still-lodged teeth and wrapped her other arm around him. A muffled yelp rewarded her before they started struggling. He broke his hold on her as they started writhing. Chimera was halfing a hard time holding on. Wrath was approaching her when the kid tore out of her grip. They cast a wild eye around the bare room before darting for the door. Mia stood before the entrance and the kid was on her in a second. She raised her arm to shield her and the kid’s jaw clamped down on it. If she’d been a second later his bite would have landed on her shoulder.
For some reason Chimera’s only thought was that the kid had large, pointy, and fluffy cat ears.
A strangled cry tore from Mia’s throat. Wrath was on her in a second pulling the kid off her.
“The Jacket!” They managed. Chimera grabbed Wrath’s discarded jacket off the floor and together they wrapped the kid in it. The jacket pinned the child’s arms against his sides while he struggled. This time Chimera was ready. Wrath rushed over to the girl and snapped their fingers next to her ear. Finally they sighed and pulled out bandages to cover the puncture marks.
“This is why I told you not to let him bite you. His file claims he can paralyze people with his bite. Did you think I was being dramatic when I said ‘don’t let him bite you’?” Chimera rolled her eyes, Wrath hated it when things didn’t go as planned.
“Really? Chimera raised an eyebrow, “You really should give people reasons why not to do things.”
“I shouldn’t have to.” Wrath ground out, they lifted Mia into the air. “We should leave, there isn’t anymore for us to see. Unit five and seven will comb over everything and twelve will take all we need from here.” The now four retreated to the trucks ready to go. Wrath handed the girl off to a medic and turned to Chimera. The kid had stopped struggling, now they lay with half-lidded eyes in Chimera’s arms. Another medic jogged over and asked if they wanted to hand over the kid or if they should test for drugs in their blood. Chimera shook her head while looking at the child.
“Get a transport ready back to the base.” Wrath ordered. The three were led to a truck ready to go and they went inside. The child was completely asleep when Chimera sat down. She couldn’t lie, the kid was cute.
Wrath was doing something on a tablet when Chimera spoke.
“We need to give him a name if we’re keeping him.” Wrath didn’t bother looking up at her when they answered.
“At first I only planned to take them because they seemed important. Our soldiers might have lost him if we hadn’t. You saw how hard it was to subdue him in the first place.” A moment later they finally looked up and frowned, “Where would we keep him anyway?”
“I can’t believe you.” Chimera shook her head. “You always have a plan in the works, just call in and have a room prepared for when we arrive.” The two lapsed into comfortable silence, haveway to base Wrath broke it.
“We could name him ‘Rafiel’, I had a brother named that.” They didn’t look up from their tablet. Chimera nodded thoughtfully,
“‘Rafi’ for short. It’s cuter. We can yell ‘Rafiel’ if he gets in big trouble.”
“Rafi it is.” Chimera smiled to herself.

~
Ghosts gather near the place where something bad is going to happen,
Danny with his ghost sense tends to notice before anyone else and tends to react outwardly before the danger even happens, gaining a reputation of seeing the future,
Ghosts also tell Danny things, causing Danny to know more about situations and the people around him, it comes of as suspicious.
~
Danny pulling away a snack from his coworker: "Careful your allergic to these ingredients!"
Coworker: "How the hell...I've never mentioned that to anyone."
~
Danny on a phone call with his friends while doing his nightly walks in Gotham: "Yeah so apparently the second Robin who is now Red Hood has very personal beef with the clown here cuz he got killed by him after being sold out by his bio mom, which really sucks for the poor guy."
Oracle who has been keeping an Eye on Danny cuz he's very suspicious from an outsiders pov: "Hey B, I think we have a problem."
~
Danny notices that the ghost in Gotham tends to gather where something bad is going to happen, the more they are the worse the situation will be: *glowing smoke leaves from his mouth* "Yikes! Very bad vibes here, nope!"

"Mr. Fenton, please explain to me again, why are you here?"
Danny leans forward with keen eyes, downright murderous. "My godfather who owns VladCo. Hates Wayne enterprise and hopes to surpass them in this years competition, so I took it upon myself to make sure you're winning, Mr. Wayne."
Mr. Wayne massages his forehead with a sigh.
"What are your motivations?"
"To see that man realise I helped bring his doom, to know that I am the reason he's going down. Maybe some tears too?"
(This was, of course, only after the proper interview where Danny had revealed his connection to VladCo.)
(Bruce was going to hire the boy anyway, but now? Now he will make sure danny doesn't turn into a villain either.)
(If danny saw Mr. Wayne put his file into the 'suspect villain' folder from the reflection of the glass behind him. He simply shrugs and deals with it later. Really, he should have expected that.)

Badger the Thief
Danny x Cass
Bruce x Selina
It all started as Vlad, out of spite, named Danny as he stole something from him:" The Badger Thief!"
As his parents found out, he was a "thief." The first thing was that they were proud that he was a villain, just like they were before they retired.
And he got a suit to go and have fun... Well, they are the Fenton family.
And if his parents don't get angry! Well, he wanted that moonstone he saw in the museum.
It had been a matter of time before he met the heroes of the world.
And he got his own animal-themed hero in Black Bat, who tries to capture him all the time.
Bruce had a talk with his daughter about dating. And that led once again to him and Catwoman.
Cass:" At least mine steals only space-related stuff!"
Bruce:" He stole the GLOBE ON THE DAILY PLANET!"
Cass:" Not his fault. That they use a "Globe"!! "
