I recall from one of your previous postings that you are particularly fond of cats, and am interested in your opinions on other animals commonly kept for human companionship. What are your thoughts on dogs? Horses? Rodents? Birds and reptiles?

I would assume that last one would have interesting twofold connotations given your status as a law student, due to these creatures' association with the legal profession - the epithet of "legal eagle" on the positive side, and all the jokes about snakes and crocodilians' show of professional courtesy on the negative. As an enthusiast of all things reptile related, I feel it is a reputation undeserved by these misunderstood, scaly creatures... as well as those aspiring to take on careers in law, very important for society...

But I digress. Lastly, I would also take it that, for rather obvious reasons, you don't really like fish, the way they remind you of a certain someone...

Thank you for the kind words and inspiring thoughts.

Despite, as you noted correctly, being fascinated by cats, I am not that fond of most domestic animals, and my liking for cats is simply an amusing exception. However, there are still some species that I could call charming and interesting in ways different from keeping them as pets.

The first animal that came to mind was a graceful black panther. Ever since I was a kid, I thought of panthers as majestic, powerful guardians, trustworthy leaders, and dangerous vigilantes. They might not represent justice in the traditional sense of court cases and hour-long debates, but if one crosses their road, they should be wary of seeing their eyes shine in the dark when the night falls.

On the other hand, I could never resist swift, elegant antelopes' beauty. As someone who has always strived for success and improvement, their efortless endurance and resilience resonated with me; antelopes are in a constant state of action, awareness, and searching for new paths, opportunities. For me, they are a symbol of motivation and energy.

As my final point, I would like to mention swans. Even though they are often depicted as an embodiment of love, from swan figurines being placed on wedding cakes to towel swans on hotel beds, these birds have always struck me as an exquisite representation of change. On another note, the concept of a swan song has captivated me ever since I learned what the expression meant. It is impossible to deny that I spent hours considering what my swan song could possibly be, and to tell the truth, I still think about it from time to time.

Unfortunately, I do not have a strong stance on reptiles. They are the most beautiful when admired from afar, and their quiet deadliness amazes me; snakes in particular have been painted as villains since the beginning of time, so despite me condemning the demonization of reptiles, I understand why people have those... preconcieved notions about them.

Keeping rodents and other smaller animals as pets does not make much sense to me. For me, it would be impossible to love something that is barely capable of communicating its needs. These fluff balls always seemed closer to decor than to actual companions.

As for fish, I would not say that a certain someone you mentioned has enough influence over me to make me actively dislike fish. Marine species look magnificent in acquariums when the interior is done right, and personally, I do not mind fish... served with a tasteful side dish, that is.

Anne Baxter was part of my Bisexual Awakening. My family has a tradition that every Palm Sunday we watch The ten commandments on TV together... And starting from a very young age, I essentially developed a crushes on Anne Baxter's Nefertiri & Yul Brynner's Ramses. Dude, the woman was HOT! They both were! My crush definitely wasn't helped by the fact that Anne Baxter's costumes were a bit on the sheer side. She had a way of capturing you with her eyes, and I never understood why Charlton heston's Moses didn't just have a threesome with Nefertiri and Ramses. LOL

Her Nefertiri in The Ten Commandments was FORMATIVE TO ME. If not the hottest old movie lady, then she definitely played the hottest old movie character. if that makes sense.

Look. Listen. I only *just* discovered her on a post from the Have You Seen This Romcom poll blog. Saw she had the same last name as me and went OOH hi hello. Went to her IMdB and saw she was born in Indiana like moi. I am now even more intrigued. Been eagerly telling my partner this, and he was like "maybe you guys are distantly related?" And after 2 hrs of going down the tumblr tag + her imdb photos, I'm In Deep(tm) and I can't stop looking at her like 😍 When I go to my grandma's house, bet your ass I'm gonna check my grandpa's genealogy and see if we're somehow related. Sorry that's not really propaganda I just got real excited, esp when I saw that the submission deadline was extended (bless your soul). Narrowing down the movies where she's hottest in was Hell tyvm. I've only just discovered her, she looks gorgeous to me in every movie still I see of her gdi lol.

You know, a bonus to designing the oc is that other people will drawn them in the scenarios you share! I know your lore really made me excited to see your little fella ^^) it's so nice to encounter someone eho likes SDV in the wild and your world building makes me want to boot up my computer and deal with the lag to see everyone again. I do have to wonder though, what's your take on how the valley feels about JojaMart? It seems like it replaces extensions on the Vally's magic if you fund it.

FIRST OF ALL….here is my boy….

His name is June and ive since tweaked some stuff about him. You dont need to know much about him, just that hes a bit of a cryptid among the town for almost two years before townspeople start interacting w him on their own volition. His best friends are Marnie, Kent, and Caroline, and he is really cool w Willy, Linus, and Marlon (old men gang rise up). Also romances Shane which is funny to Me bc whenever shane gets a male farmer to romance i am constantly rotating this image of vincent getting upset and saying ‘gee jas how come YOU get two cool godfathers’

To answer ur question about Jojamart; i feel like it truly wouldnt mess with the balance of magic in the valley. Magic is powerful BUT. It is adaptive. The Junimos harness the magic of the valley to fix things in the broken down community center, but if someone else came along and fixed it for them, well thats one less thing the magic of the valley is used for. Theres plenty of talented people in the valley that dont need magic to get things done 😉 (Robin my beloved)

But i do think jojamart is a big indicator that something is amiss with the town. I think it is a common idea to believe that jojamart is like. Evil. And like. Its totally a soulless corporation, but i think its filling a very specific Need of this town. Pelican town has some very skilled laborers that sell their work and services to help provide not just for themselves, but FOR pelican town; if that still leaves people unable to pay rent/mortgage or groceries, then people will absolutely swoop in and offer ‘solutions’.

I have more Thots but basically……magic is powerful, but it cant do anything on its own. Its utilized by magical beings to make tangible change in the world. But humans are capable of making real and tangible change without the use of magic. Jojamart says ‘here, give me money and time and ill fix this stuff 😉’ and that is not anymore different than Robin, Clint, the junimos, etc saying ‘give me some money and time and i can do this thing for u 😉’. Jojamart is like. Bad. But bad in the same way Pierre owning the only grocery store in town wo employing anyone is bad, and how Lewis is okay with all of this Mess. Its indicative of a bigger problem in the valley that magic cant really fix

The Price May Be Right - Number 19

Welcome to “The Price May Be Right!” I’m counting down My Top 31 Favorite Vincent Price Performances & Appearances! The countdown will cover movies, TV productions, and many more forms of media. Today’s choice might be a bit confusing. I give you two performances for the price of one, with Number 19: Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.”

The names of Vincent Price and Edgar Allan Poe are practically synonymous, at least in cinematic circles. While Price made many, MANY movies in his long and storied career, arguably the ones for which he became best well-known were the special movies produced by AIP for what is now referred to colloquially as “The Corman-Poe Cycle.” This was a series of eight films, all directed by Roger Corman for the company, which were based – some more loosely than others – on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Vincent was the nominal star for seven of the pictures within the octology. The only one which DIDN’T feature Price was the third film of the bunch, “The Premature Burial.”

Most of the movies in the series were treated as more or less straightforward horror films of the time. However, the one exception was the movie inspired by the great author’s most famous “Poe-m” (I am so sorry), “The Raven.” The original poem is easily one of Poe’s greatest pieces of work, telling in short verse the story of a lonely man, mourning the loss of his beloved wife, Lenore. He receives a visit from a mysterious raven, which turns out to be a supernatural harbinger of doom and despair. It’s a tragic, ambiguous, deeply perturbing poem, and still a classic to this day. Corman’s 1963 movie interpretation, however, eschews much of the pathos, as the film is actually a horror-comedy, with emphasis on the latter half of that equation. In essence, the picture is meant to be a tongue-in-cheek spoof of all the others in the eight-part series, which is sort of a clever idea. In the film, Price plays the main protagonist: Dr. Craven, a physician and ex-sorceror who, like the narrator in the poem, has seemingly lost his precious Lenore. Also like in the poem, he is visited by a talking raven…but this is about where all similarities cease, for the raven turns out to be a fellow dark wizard, by the name of Dr. Bedlo. He reveals to Craven that Lenore is apparently still alive, and in the grasp of their shared nemesis, the evil Dr. Scarabus. The two magicians thus set out on a quest to confront Scarabus, so Bedlo can get revenge on him for past humiliations, while Craven ascertains if his wife is, indeed, still breathing…and if so, what she is doing with the evil wizard. Much like “House of the Long Shadows” would do many years later, the film acts as something of a “Who’s Who?” of classic Gothic horror pictures. Not only does Price play the lead role, but the perpetually-drunk Bedlo is played by Peter Lorre, while the redoubtable Boris Karloff tackles the part of the slimy Scarabus. Future Joker and star of “The Shining,” Jack Nicholson, also appears in an early role, playing the part of the romantic interest for Craven’s daughter, who is played by the much-less-famous (but no less talented) Olive Sturgess. It’s more fun than frightening on the whole. Price’s Craven is an interesting protagonist for the story: despite being very gifted in magical arts, and coming from a long line of distinguished warlocks, he’s a very mild-mannered individual, most of the time. The film gives him a story arc of essentially growing more of a spine, as he learns to fight more fiercely against the injustices around him, and accepts his destined place in the world: an atypical hero’s journey.

All this is well and good, and the movie is definitely worth checking out, if only for the novelty of the adventure and its stellar cast. However, this was not the only time Price would tackle Poe’s Raven onscreen. Many years later, Price would get a chance to theatrically perform a reading of the original poem for a Halloween Special during the 1980s. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what the name of the special was, nor the exact year it came out: I actually tried to look it up, since I DID learn that information…but I can no longer find the source, and I sadly never wrote it down, dummy that I am. Whoops. Whatever else is in the special in question, however, it’s hard to believe much could top Price performing Poe’s greatest poem the way it was always meant to be performed.

In my opinion, Price’s reading of The Raven is the definitive interpretation of the poem. He brings the right amount of melodrama and emotion to the work, giving the Narrator a sense of both decadence and dismalness befitting the story as it happens. From his tragic nostalgia to his wonder at the appearance of the talking bird and even to his moments of desperation and spooky loss, he runs the whole gamut of the poem’s emotional breadth with marvelous aplomb. Others, such as Christopher Lee and James Earl Jones, have done masterful interpretations and readings of the poem in their own rights…but for me, Price is the eternal voice of Edgar Allan Poe’s work, and no single take on the poem has ever matched his reading for me. Bottom line: whether it’s the movie or the poem, when I think of “The Raven,” I think of Vincent Price. End of story. Tomorrow, the countdown continues with Number 18!

Primrose Gray + memory of the past - Her unfortunate ride outside of Winbourne in Chapter 6 of Primrose Gray's Legacy

On Saturday morning, Primrose had woken up from the third time, and the day was about to begin. Putting on some petticoats and boots, she used the vines from her window to sneak out and ran towards the stables and soon picked her beloved horse, Ledger, and soon set off to the forest, riding for a long time. The wind in her hair, in the early morning, where the birds had woken with her and not even the milkman was to be heard with his cries, Primrose soon stopped her horse when she saw that she had reached the limits of her estate.

She almost forgot about George and her mother’s attempts to replace poor William with her first cousin. Almost. When a baritone voice woke her from her inner peace “Excuse me, miss?”

She opened her eyes to find a man, about twenty, squinting his eyes as he asked “May I know why are you in my dominion? Are you lost? Where are your parents?”

“G-good day, sir!” She cried before mounting Ledger again and storming off the fields. She rode and rode as fast as she could, praying that she would not be followed. Suddenly, another neigh called her attention and she stopped in short, finding her own father in a full riding habit and with a worried expression. Primrose now felt truly doomed.

“Primrose Sabrina Gray!” He cried “Where on earth have you been! You left in the morning, no note, escaping from the window like a bandit, undressed and without an escort!” He had never raised his voice at her until now. Primrose’s eyes glassed, trying to collect herself “What if a bandit found you? He would’ve kidnapped you! He would’ve killed you, or—or… Godric, just why! What if I didn’t find you?! How could you be so—so reckless and stupid?!”

He finally his daughter’s silent weeping as she dismounted her horse, trembling of pure sadness and guilt, the hem of her nightgown full of detritus from trees and the horse grunting, feeling her owner’s pain. Vincent finally mellowed at such sight and dismounted his loyal horse as he dropped to his knees, hugging his daughter. She was quick to squeeze him in the hug and she muttered “I am sorry, Papa. I—I couldn’t sleep—and I had—I had nightmares and—and then—I rode off and—and and—,”

He kissed her nose “I already had. The moment I saw you safe, I forgave you. And you? Do you forgive the poor sod of your father?

Den Anfang macht natürlich ein Sneak Peek zum Spatort, damit ihr wisst, dass da endlich mal was kommt ;-)

Give Me a Drink (2023, unpublished)

„Boop–“, Adam tippe ihm mit dem Zeigefinger an die Nase und nippte dann wieder seelenruhig an seinem Bier, während Leo ihn nur aus großen runden Augen anstarrte. „Sorry Mann“, lachte Adam, „aber du bist einfach cute, wenn du so ragest.“

„Ich rage nicht, ich setze mich für die Sache ein“, maulte Leo und verschränkte demonstrativ die Arme vor der Brust. „Siehst du, sag’ ich doch“, um Adams Mundwinkel spielte ein kleines Lächeln, „voll cute.“

Kleinstadthorizont (2022)

Adam hört es. Merkt es an der Art, wie Vincent plötzlich das Kinn nach oben streckt und die Schultern strafft. Sie stehen im Supermarkt an der Kasse, mit mehr Gemüse im Einkaufswagen als Adams Garten jemals sehen wird. Unruhig linst Adam auf seine Armbanduhr, schaut dann unauffällig zu Vincent, der scheinbar unbeteiligt da steht und durch die Zeitschriftenauslage blättert.

Fandom 2: Unter Uns (Ringsy)

Das erste ist eine Co-Creation mit Persephone, die bereits ein paar Zeilen aus dem neuesten Kapitel mit euch geteilt hat. Daher hab ich mich entschieden, das Ganze nur um einen winzigen Ausschnitt zu ergänzen:

„Worüber denkst du nach?“, fragte Ringo, nachdem sie eine Weile knutschend auf seinem Bett gelegen hatten. Mit der Nase stupste er spielerisch gegen Easys Wange. „Darüber, dass das schon wieder ganz schön eskaliert ist“, grinste Easy verlegen.

Und ihr werdet's kaum glauben: Seit ein paar Wochen gibt's tatsächlich ein neues Kapitel zu einer Geschichte, die mich – und damit auch euch - jetzt schon seit den Anfängen von Ringsy begleitet. Manche von euch haben's vielleicht schon entdeckt, für die anderen hier ein kleiner Vorgeschmack:

Von Hass (und) Liebe (2018-today)

„Dein Sandwich wird kalt“, schmunzelte Easy und umarmte ihn von hinten. „Nur das noch“, murmelte Ringo abwesend und erwiderte die Umarmung, indem er Easy die freie Hand um den Arm legte. „Das Gleiche hast du vor ‘ner Stunde auch schon gesagt“, lachte Easy und drückte ihm einen Kuss in den Nacken.

Ringo seufzte und schloss kurz die Augen, bevor er endlich den Kugelschreiber zur Seite legte. „Na, das war doch gar nicht so schwer“, grinsend griff Easy nach seiner Hand und zog ihn mit sich zum Sofa, auf das Ringo sich nur sehr widerwillig setzte.

Fandom 3: Die Jungen Ärzte (Tomikko)

Ich gebe zu, dieses Fandom in letzter Zeit sehr vernachlässigt zu haben. Dass er verliebt war, das hatte er sich inzwischen selbst eingestanden, aber das musste ja nicht gleich jeder wissen, vor allem nicht, wenn derjenige in den er verliebt war, gleich neben ihm saß und noch dazu sein bester Freund war, der ihn nun etwas verwirrt musterte. Er wusste nicht, wann er bemerkt hatte, dass seine Gefühle für Tom weit über freundschaftliche Liebe hinaus gingen.

Mitbewohner mit gewissen Vorzügen (unpublished)

Es war schon fast Mitternacht, als die beiden am nächsten Abend Toms Wohnung betraten. „Was ein Tag“, stöhnte der erschöpft und stolperte durch den Flur. Ungelenk wollte er sich aus Jacke und Schuhen schälen, gab nach mehreren erfolglosen Versuchen aber auf und schleppte sich mühsam die wenigen Meter ins Wohnzimmer.

Dort ließ er sich mit dem Gesicht voran auf die Couch fallen. Das befremdliche Gefühl von Zeitlosigkeit machte sich in ihm breit, bis er das Geräusch von sich nähernden Schritten hörte. Müde blinzelnd drehte Tom den Kopf in Mikkos Richtung. „Warum gleich hab ich nach dem Studium in 'ner Klinik angefangen?“, wehklagte er und blies sich dramatisch eine Strähne von der Nase.

Das letzte ist ein OS, der… aus Gründen ebenfalls auf unserem gemeinsamen Account veröffentlicht wurde, bei Persephones Auflistung aber fehlt:

Auf Wiedersehen (2021)

Er spürte Tränen in sich aufsteigen, doch er konnte nicht weinen. Es hieß, dass über die menschlichen Sinne pro Sekunde Infos von etwa 11 Millionen Bits ans Hirn gesendet und im Unterbewusstsein verarbeitet wurden. Normalerweise würde das bewusste Denken schon bei etwa 40 Bits an seine Grenzen stoßen, doch er nahm alles gleichzeitig wahr.

So viel dazu. Meine Obsession trifft aktuell aber SPN und 9-1-1. Wer die Nase also noch nicht voll hat und meinen Schreibstil ganz passabel findet, ist ab hier herzlich eingeladen, weiterzulesen.

It's been a week since The Empty took Castiel away from him. A week, where Dean's heart keeps beating. He hates every second of it. He tries to numb the pain, but no matter how many bottles of bourbon he empties, his mind is stuck on goddamn replay.

But there’s one thing she’s afraid of. There’s one thing strong enough to stop her.

Dean clenches his jaw, blinking up to the ceiling. His gaze is blurred, his eyes burn and Dean doesn’t know whether from tears or whiskey. It doesn't matter anyway.

Fandom 5: 9-1-1 LA (Buddie)

I just love Buck's and Eddie's dynamics, platonically or not. Imo, their friendship is at least an example for how non-toxic masculinity and friendship can develop.

An Unexpected Visit (2023)

Eddie doesn’t notice the pick-up or the estate car parked across the street from his house. After that hell shift, he can only think of shower, Buck's six-cheese lasagna, and an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender with Christopher. “Hey, you two,” he shouts, his head not quite through the door, “there better be some food ready. I’m starving.”

And last but not least, a story, whose title is from a 'Radio Company's' song. Who's surprised? Me neither.

Ain’t No Telling Why (2023)

Ramón Diaz sits on the porch behind his house, listening to one of Eddie's bizarre anecdotes. “As Buck just said, their skin was literally blue,” Eddie’s voice crackled over the speaker of Ramón’s cell phone, which is set upside down on the coffee table next to him. “A real-life Smurf, so to say,” Buck interjects, his words accompanied by the chopping sound of a knife.

15. Have any pets? Sadly, I do not :C At the moment I don't anyway.

Growing up, I had a massive black and white tuxedo cat (seriously, this boy weight 25 lbs, 11oz at his heaviest and he was a big kitty). He lived a good 14 or 16 years and I loved him regardless of how crotchety he was. He was an indoor-outdoor cat and I regret that knowing what I know now--to say nothing of how he got into fights with other indoor-outdoor cats in the neighborhood. But I loved him and I cried when he died.

Then in graduate school, my roommate had a super skinny little black and white long-haired tuxedo cat named Kanda (after the character in D.Gray-man though the character is male and the cat was female). I swear there's a skinny tux long-hair moggy phenotype because I've met more than a couple cats like this and they're all inclined to the zoomies and very vocal. This cat was no exception: she was nuts but she was cute. And she loved anything milky or creamy. If you laid down for a nap, she'd walk up like "That looks like a good idea. Scoot over" and take a nap next to you. She sat on my lap while I wrote my master's thesis and I wish I had given her a credit on that. Alas. Kanda actually has a long story as to how she came (back) to my roommate.

Meanwhile, towards the end of graduate school and thereafter, I kept finches. I started with four: a society finch, a spice finch, an orange-cheeked waxbill, and a bronze-winged mannikin. My roommate (the same one with Kanda) insisted that they have fancy, Victorian names. So they were Giacomo, Guilford, Vincent, and Jasper. Giacomo didn't live very long, unfortunately. Guilford, Vincent, and Jasper lived quite a while. Jasper, according to a vet, was older than we thought (as in, he had cataracts?), but he lived for something like 10 years in my care. Vincent, the orange-cheeked waxbill, lived the longest at something like 12 years. He had such a nice song. The spice finch sounded like a digital camera or a CD player--so oddly mechanical. Looking back, I'd do things different to take care of them. I wish I could've had a huge, huge enclosure for them, but that wasn't possible. If I ever keep finches (or any kind of birds) again, I will spoil them rotten with the biggest enclosure possible. (Channeling my inner Nie Huaisang here suddenly…)

But for right now, no, I don't have any pets. But! I had a dream about a little black and white tuxedo cat--mostly black but with white toes on his front paws and a little white on his chest--who was living in a bookstore that would make the dark academia fans rip their Moleskines in half. He was walking around in the bay window in the front of the store and there was a sign there that read "HONK IS NOT FOR SALE." This cat's name was Honk and I am taking that dream as a sign that someday Honk will come into my life. I'm trying to use Honk to motivate me in my therapy and job-hunting. It's all for Honk.

27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart? Not that I know of…?

I mean, I went on about two dates with this guy and I think he thought it was more serious than I did? So we had to have a "breakup" conversation after two dates? Maybe that broke his heart? I doubt it, though. (Sorry I'm introverted and kinda schizoid. Damn.)

If I've broken your heart, I'm really sorry. I had no idea I did that.

62: What makes you happy? I suck at answering things like this because my brain immediately goes "NOTHING. FUCK OFF." So lemme see what I can do here…

Okay. Sleeping. I know sleeping a lot is a symptom of depression and all but I do like it--likely because I really enjoy dreaming. I've never really mastered lucid dreaming, but I generally don't care. I just like seeing what my brain comes up with.

Um, tea with milk and sugar. Lousy carryout grocery store sushi (especially salmon nigiri). Hot fresh sticky rice (with or without Ingredient). Pickles. Cherries. Blueberries (my beloved). Cheese (you may indeed fascinate me by giving me a piece of cheese). Dark chocolate--or anything dark and/or bitter, really. Also salty things, like miso and soy sauce.

I like talking to my parents when we're not being too serious. Like, when we're showing each other memes or talking about what we've read lately. Or I'll sit on my news feed and find weird articles about iguanas falling out of trees in Florida because it's cold or about whatever George Santos has lied about most recently. I like it when we can just hang out and laugh at dumb stuff and make inside jokes. Like, if you've ever seen the movie After Life, that's the memory where I'd like to live.

Um… Spring right through early summer--like from when the first maple buds come out stright through to mid-July--makes me happy. Winter is really hard for me and fall just makes me remember that winter is on its way. Candlemas (Imbolc, February 2nd) is kind of a bright spot but it's not quite the same as when the early onions come up and the first dandelions. Seeing some sunlight through red maple buds is like a spiritual experience.

Related to that: flowering trees. Any of them. All of them: plums, apple, crabapple, pears, even invasive and smelly Bradford pears. But, being an oldtaku and reformed weeaboo, cherry blossoms are near and dear to my heart.

And related to that: the local anime convention that I've been going to for…20 years--that always makes me happy. Same thing with cosplaying, there or elsewhere: it makes me happy. Sometimes it stresses me out a bit, sure, but it does make me happy in the end. (Need to work on some of the cosplay projects scattered on the floor in here.) Like, seeing a thing I've made that's clever or so amazingly close to how a character looks in their source makes me smile.

Right now I'm still hooked on The Untamed and Heaven Official's Blessing (see: cosplay). So those make me happy--especially all the amazing fanart and the delicious memes. God bless the meme-makers. Like my tag says, I swear I'm into the series for more than the memes, but the memes are really good. Seeing the Jiang sect decal I have on the back window of my car makes me happy too. Jiang gang 4 lyfe!!

Edana Romney (Corridor of Mirrors)— Look. It is definitely a case for your discretion. Edana Romney had only one major film role and then foundered in a Britain/Hollywood that didn’t like her look. But the film she starred in was also one she CO-WROTE and co-founded a whole production company to make happen, and it is a lavish, imaginative gothic romance where she runs around in fanciful medieval gowns and has incredible eyelashes. She was also known in later years as a Hollywood hostess who had popular “twelfth night” parties, gayest of all Shakespeare plays to have a party about.

Anne Baxter was part of my Bisexual Awakening. My family has a tradition that every Palm Sunday we watch The ten commandments on TV together... And starting from a very young age, I essentially developed a crushes on Anne Baxter's Nefertiri & Yul Brynner's Ramses. Dude, the woman was HOT! They both were! My crush definitely wasn't helped by the fact that Anne Baxter's costumes were a bit on the sheer side. She had a way of capturing you with her eyes, and I never understood why Charlton heston's Moses didn't just have a threesome with Nefertiri and Ramses. LOL

Her Nefertiri in The Ten Commandments was FORMATIVE TO ME. If not the hottest old movie lady, then she definitely played the hottest old movie character. if that makes sense.

Look. Listen. I only *just* discovered her on a post from the Have You Seen This Romcom poll blog. Saw she had the same last name as me and went OOH hi hello. Went to her IMdB and saw she was born in Indiana like moi. I am now even more intrigued. Been eagerly telling my partner this, and he was like "maybe you guys are distantly related?" And after 2 hrs of going down the tumblr tag + her imdb photos, I'm In Deep(tm) and I can't stop looking at her like 😍 When I go to my grandma's house, bet your ass I'm gonna check my grandpa's genealogy and see if we're somehow related. Sorry that's not really propaganda I just got real excited, esp when I saw that the submission deadline was extended (bless your soul). Narrowing down the movies where she's hottest in was Hell tyvm. I've only just discovered her, she looks gorgeous to me in every movie still I see of her gdi lol.
