That’s what you would think, but quite the contrary, actually.

Everyone from toddlers to the oldest folk know when the sky turns dark green it’s time to start thinking about heading to the storm cellar.

Hurry and set the cows and horses to pasture and gather supplies and get to the cellar.

After this happens enough times people don’t get too spooked by fierce storms. It’s just another thing they have to deal with.

Of course, if a tornado landed near them Ciel would be frightened. His home, his cows, his toys, and garden could all be destroyed. His daddy’s farm and livestock- Vincent’s livelihood- could be blown away in a second.

But for the most part he just sighs real heavy and tramps down the steps, complaining about the dampness and spiders. Ciel would continue complaining about the hard benches and chill except his daddy always let him sit on his lap, holding his itty bitty hips and telling Ciel to hush his pretty little mouth before he got irritated.

I loved the Ciel accidentally calling Sebastian Daddy on front of the servants drabble. Bard later explains to Finny of course Ciel sees Sebastian as a father figure. I mean they have all seen the portrait of Vincent and noted the strong resemblance to Sebastian. That's why the boy calls for the butler in the middle of the night.
