This past months, I had a Vox UL760 amp to repair (many burnt parts inside). It's a very rare amp. All the preamp parts are using transistors and the power amp is using tubes.
This amp belongs to my friend Fabien who is playing in Animal Triste.
It was a very hard work to do because the amp is very complicated to disassemble and I had so much work on it.
There are two channels, a reverb, a tremolo and some kind of integrated fuzz in it.
Beautiful Art Deco amp features 2 6V6, 6SL7, 6SJ7 into a 12″ Utah. 2 instrument inputs, 1 mic input, separate volumes, 1 tone control. Throwing in a photo that will be familiar to most, makes me wonder if Pirates of the Caribbean makers saw one of these.
Would people like an info dump on Eddie and Corroded Coffin’s guitars and what was period accurate for the time? My sources are my husband knows more about guitars than anyone and just tells me shit when I show him blurry ass btw pics.
PS: That's my 1968 Traynor TR1 Reverb Unit on top, but it's not in the signal chain at the moment. Rather I am using my Boss FBM1 (for some overdrive at low volumes), into my @coffeeshoppedals Cortado reverb, which produces a much cleaner, less harsh and noisy, and therefore much more pleasing, version of spring reverb than an actual tube-driven spring reverb unit does! 😂
Handsome combo featuring 2 6V6, tremolo, 12″ speaker, Instrument/Mic channels/Volumes, original foot pedal. Tasty sound, mic channel is more aggressive.
