WTF // 1000TH Episode Vinyl Album Art
WTF with Marc Maron holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve been listening since the beginning I have personally made and delivered chili, cookies, and art, to our favorite grump in the garage (and the great Bitter Buddha himself, Mr. Pepitone). Flash forward almost 10 years, I’m working in the podcast industry in a legitimate manner, and I get the call to create something to celebrate the one thousandth episode of WTF.
I was immediately struck by the idea to go back to basics. Think back to when I first heard WTF. The theme song. Marc’s history. In the opening theme song to the show, there is a brief bit of audio from Marc shouting, “LOCK THE GATES!” This is from his brief but delightful role in ALMOST FAMOUS. That’s how we got to the bus, with the WTF logo, Maron’s initials, and a license plate representing the same shout that we’d heard 1000 times before.
This was a one-off thing, and we only produced enough for Marc, Brendan, and Stitcher. So don’t go trying to find this to procure.
A very underrated album by @davidbowie. ✴️
I got it at a very low price in the music store.
Anyway, my favorite song is the closing track: “Bring Me The Disco King”. Not just because it has a strong jazz vibe, but there is a version on @youtube featuring @puscifer, John Frusciante and @millajovovich. It’s a remix by @dannylohner from @nineinchnails and it sounds pretty dope.
🔊Give it a listen guys 😁

Frankie Sunswept “Turning” – Album Review
I loved Crushed Out from the moment I heard them. The fuzzy guitars, off-kilter beats, and at the center of it all, Frank Hoier’s ownership of the mic. The last time I covered Crushed Out here at 50thirdand3rd was their album Stay Wild Gator Child back in 2018. The most striking thing about the record was their growth as artists and how it differed from their previous work. The band has since…
My plans for my big bday was seeing Hamilton on WestEnd, but then COVID happened and I’m not in London today, but I got Broadway cast recording on vinyl and that’s pretty great too if you ask me! Happy bday to me! 🥂 Thirty feels good! 👑
