I have to SCREM because @bludoods got me these GORGEOUS fucking VtM dice for my birthday and I love them so much.
The box originally came with with a little foam insert to hold 7 dice but I wanted to keep all 10 in the same box so I pulled all the foam out and lined it with velvet
If you like them, I recommend you check out CrystalMaggie, the Etsy seller Blu got them from.

I wrote the script ahead of time and then agonized over how long this ended up being and that's AFTER I condensed filler panels to save time <3 anyways I'm throwing Shadow into the angst bin. (Ft. Special guest appearance of Freryth, as the mature one somehow.)
Bonus!!!

You. Youyouyouyouyouyou.
Who asks about leveling up at the end of almost every session, even if the encounter only involved tripping over a rock in sight of a skittish Deku scrub and scaring the poor fella away?
The better question is who doesn’t…

ok fuck it im finally gonna write down ramble about the similarities between castle in the sky and spirit tracks rhghghrr
case #1: the characters
in my very private and running around inside my mind headcanons, I see a lot of close things between pazu and link
pazu is a sweet boy (maybe even naive) who helps those in need (like every protagonist) hes a very dedicated worker in the mines, and loves machinery
same could be said for link, who never talks in game but shows his shyness and and also sweet nature. (perhaps this is only around zelda,) you could take the fact that he doesnt even want to get up at the beginning of the game to take his exam because he dislikes the job, but this is where my headcanons come in. in short, hes a child genius and a perfectionist and works himself a little too much, and gets really eepy. so yes he loves machines (trains) as well
oh, and they are both orphans. (link is a bit difficult because hes usually always some type of parentless/guardianless child but anyways-)
and even other than personality and hobbies, their looks have similar parts too
of course, theyre not carbon copies of each other (such as colors being different) but the gloves and, especially to me, the cap is the one that sticks out. like. no other zelda game has him wearing a hat like that
(I just realized the gloves r the same color holy shit 💀) ((bruh and the posture lmao💀💀))
now I dont have much to say about sheeta and zeldas similarities (sorry) but they are both royals (well 1 of royal descent)
case #2: character relationships
spirit tracks zelink is what is keeping me alive so heres some similarities
I love love love the "hopeless romantic commoner falls in love with literal princess (she loves him back)" trope. which, pazu and sheetas relationship is a little different, but the vibes are the same
both couples? pairs? are so innocently in love with each other (maybe link shows it more) but just look:
they are so rhghghrhHRHFHFJJ HISS HISS HISS 💜💜💜💜💜😭😭🔥🔥💜
and finally the catching part in the movie
now you may ask "oh totk link caught zelda something something skyward sword falling blah blah blah" (im joking pls dont hate 💀) but this catch is different than those
they arent both falling, bro is already on the ground
you know who else is on the ground?
THIS BITCH
pazu may seem more.. graceful in catching sheeta compared to link, but (according to my dad) the whole joke of link dropping zelda comes from this movie (I havent finished it so idk) but I do know pazu struggles under the weight of sheeta after all the magic stuff goes away 😂
case #3: minor stuff
so I havent watched the entire movie yet, but heres some other things I saw
birds
they r both doves...... interesting....
though different, they also both play an instrument (link plays a panflute and pazu a trumpet)
also the design similarities in the robots and the phantoms, but ive run out of photos and time so that's kt
thanks for coming to my tedtalk (to the 3 people that will see this 💀)

The best use of character ai is probably when I first found out about it and used the opportunity to tell a Genshin Impact character about the Wii U

It's coming up on the 2-year anniversary since I got sick with Long Covid, and I'm feeling sentimental on main, so here's a 5am post about how much I appreciate everyone who has had the kindness and patience to help me through the past couple years.
To my roommates (lets be real, they're basically my family) who have stepped up and taken care of me, including making sure I'm fed and able to get to doctor appointments, even if they're 40 miles away. To the days they've physically carried me up flights of stairs when elevator access to our 3rd floor apartment was out of order. Love yall so much; you're the best fam someone could ask for.
To the longtime tabletop friends who met me with with nothing but understanding when I had to back out of games for mental health reasons. And to the newfound ones who offered me understanding and a space in a game much easier on my limited brainspace and were patient when I would lose words or thoughts mid-game stream.
To the long-distance friends and family who have been super understanding with the days, or sometimes weeks, where I lose time and fall off the face of the earth. I love y'all, even if I don't get the chance to say it as much as I would like anymore. And I always appreciate your check-ins.
To all the new friends I've made through Twitch during the time of my illness where I didn't have the energy to do much more than lie in bed and watch your streams. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment, discord invites, and being chill with me constantly falling asleep in your streams. Your communities are amazing and I'm glad to be a part of them.
And to the duo of friends who were there for me when I was overwhelmed and had all but shut myself away from anyone else. I haven't known either of y'all for very long, but y'all kept me going and inspired me to keep drawing stupid little doodles for a silly little vampire story we made together during my darkest, most depressing moments in recent memory.
I'd like to wrap this up with some news I want all of you to hold me accountable for too. I plan to return to streaming art again, on July 13th (the actual 2-year anniversary of my illness). It might not be regular, often, or for as long as the streams of my heyday, but I'm looking forward to trying again to share my silly little drawings with folks.
Love y'all,
~Vio

What's even the point if Vio doesn't turn to dark magic to bring Shadow back?

“Why’d you bring me back?”Shadow asks, voice barely a whisper. He sounds confused—looks confused.
Vio shrugs, wiping the dirt from their hands with a cloth. “I know you aren’t the brightest, but do you really have to ask that?”
Shadow just stares. “Yeah. I do have to ask that.”
Vio rolls their eyes, tucking the cloth up their sleeve and clasping their hands together. “Well!”They exclaim, and give Shadow a deadpan stare, their lips quirked up in a small smile. “I brought you back because I love you.”
“...why???”
“What the fuck do you mean ‘why’?!”Vio snaps, rolling their eyes a second time.
“Vio.”Shadow starts with a sigh. “I could ruin your life. I almost did.”
“Then ruin it!”The ex-hero sighs heavily, shaking their head. They can’t believe they’re actually having this conversation. “Look. We can discuss you ruining my life later. Right now, we have to get back to camp, because me and Wind were put on watch and it’s almost time to switch over.”
“But—”
“You keep arguing with me and I’m gonna fucking hit you.”
Shadow falls silent. Vio takes this as a win.

I like the idea of Vio adopting some Gerudo traditions as a way of mourning Shadow and coping with his loss.
I base a lot of my Gerudo culture headcanons on ancient Egypt, even though my specialty is Mesopotamia and “ancient Egypt” is about as vague as saying “yeah I have a mammal in my house”. The time frame we’re looking at- ancient Egypt is so vast that actual ancient Egyptians had their own archaeologists studying their own past. So. Read my uncited and sleep-deprived fandom post with that in mind, and maybe go look up Hathor’s significance as a goddess of both mining and makeup, or the origin of the dog star. People seem to think Egypt was all about death.
Still, I’m here for goth blorbo posting, so talk of death it is!
For my personal headcanons, and Hyrule Historia’s debatable take on Shadow being made from Ganondorf AND Link- I think he was both an attempt at mocking Link, but also possibly an attempt to create a Gerudo hero. It must sting that not only can Ganondorf never win, but even his people suffer the short end of the stick. I’ll leave Shadow’s creation and the motives behind it up in the air, but- I do like the idea of him being somewhat racially Gerudo, if not raised in it culturally. Shadow is alone, running on emotions and instincts that might be his and might be the old hate of an endlessly reincarnated demon. His brain keeps spitting up random facts about the divine ritual significance of the king, flooding season and how to respectfully summon ghosts, and he has no idea what to do with any of this.
Until, of course, one day he brings home a cute nerdy twink to the evil castle and Shadow wants this guy’s attention So Bad. Cue poorly planned and half-understood infodumping that still earns him Vio’s complete undivided attention and possibly even cuddles. We don’t know what they were doing while Blue and Red tried not to die. Maybe they painted eachother’s nails while Shadow awkwardly coughed up random facts about Gerudo noun modifiers. (It would work on me)
Let’s fast forward.
Shadow is, for all intents and purposes, very dead by the end of things. While I love the idea of Vio descending into the guts of occult research hell to bring him back, there’s time between the end of the adventure and when- or even if- his attempts work. Research is one coping mechanism. How else does he want to remember Shadow?
Shadow wanted to be a person, above all else. Real, someone to be looked in the eye and respected. Nobody else is going to mourn him- who else would have cared enough, known him enough? The other parts of Link might try to understand for Vio’s sake, but they didn’t live it. They didn’t drink with him and toss around awful villain greetings like “vile morning your wretchedness”. The only people who don’t get graves or rites or anything are… well, being deliberately treated as less than people. And even if Shadow was a magic construct made of half a dozen things and the kitchen sink, enough of him was Gerudo for him to cling to it and say this, this is evidence that I’m a person too.
Something about the practice of religion that might not be immediately apparent to the average white American Protestant or culturally Christian atheist is that orthopraxy and orthodoxy are two different things. Correct action versus correct belief, essentially. In the ancient world, it often didn’t matter if you “believed” in a god, especially if you were in a high political position- the motions still had to be performed. It was taken as a matter of fact that the ghosts needed to be given bread and the rash on your neck was a sign of a god’s displeasure that could be interpreted via medical divination.
I’m vastly simplifying it because this is a fandom post and I’m running on two hours of sleep, so I’ll cut to the chase- it doesn’t matter if Vio “follows” the goddess of the sands or any other deity, or even none at all. If he thinks Shadow would have wanted beer and bread left out for his ghost, according to how any real person would be honored, I don’t think it’s out of the question that he might just do that. Plus, I think Vio would be invested enough in how Shadow would want his memory to be treated that he’d do the reading and maybe hop over to the Desert of Doubt to ask the Gerudo for proper funerary details in person. Again, it’s not like Shadow would have any other family or friends to fill the role.
Vio absolutely has a little sketch of Shadow in his room with a glass of water and a little plate next to it, and when Blue leaves a giant platter of stress-baked cookies outside his door he shares them with his dead boyfriend. I’m just saying. The guy may be dead but the love is not.
