She had a bunch after the explosion in the town square by Jinx

So she gets that you have nightmares and get scared by them shitless

So when she woke up to you moving around in bed all crazy

She knew what was up

She quickly woke you up and was gobsmacked

You smacked the ever living shit out of her

When you registered it was your girlfriend you both just stared at each other

You kept apologizing to the point she started laughing

You felt bad but she felt that it was sorta her fault for just shaking you awake

She’ll tell you that it’s okay and whatever

But she will sleep a little ways away from you

Vi has a lot of nightmares, not that she would openly admit

A lot of from when was in prison and a lot with Powder in them

They often get to be a lot so she knows how nightmares can affect someone

She knows something is up when she feels you thrashing around in bed

She’ll get up fast and get you to wake up

But turns out, you started fighting her out of fear and accidentally slapped her 

And hard

Vi kinda didn’t even notice it at first

She grabbed your arms and had to calm you down

After that was all did and done she finally felt the stinging in her cheek

“Wait, did you fucking slap me?”

Like Caitlyn, will bust out laughing so hard

You just have to join in as she is almost falling out of the bed

She will apologize for waking you up like that and startling you enough to slap her

But she will always keep mentioning it

“Can you hold this?”

“Vi, you're capable of doing it yourself.”

“Remember when you slapped me? For no apparent reason? Hmm?”

She will use it to her advantage

feeling insane in the brain about Arcane again why do i keep rewatching episodes when I know I'm gonna fixate on everything again lmfao

BUT ANYWAYS episode 8? rewatched it for the jinx and singed scene because that still freaks me the fuck out its horrible i love it but paying attention to the bits with Vi and Caitlyn? when they're discussing stuff in Cait's room, when Vi's recalling how Powder and her used to be, she specifically says "I didn't want her to start crying and wake my parents up, so I'd pretend to chase my own monsters away "

and while I could be reading this ABSOLUTELY wrong why did she say my parents specifically? Are they not biological sisters? or does Vi subconsciously not view "Powder" as her sister anymore, after seeing her break down when meeting Caitlyn.

the latter seems unlikely considering Vi's actions in episode nine, so I'll stick with my first case. I mean it would make sense, provide a deeper bond with vi beyond blood if she was indeed adopted, or taken in off the streets. it would also explain why powder was less affected seeing their parents dead on the bridge, maybe she never really formed a solid connection with them, and knew that this would really hurt Vi.

or I could again just be reading way too far into this like I always tend to do, could have just been an unimportant choice in words on the writer's part, and Powder just wasn't processing everything that went down on the bridge because she was a literal child at the time

also a little parallel I noticed, when Vi is recruiting Jayce to help her take down Silco, she states that "when we got out of the undercity you were the first person Caitlyn looked for" and my brain immediately went "hm solid reasoning but even still that seems like an oddly specific thing to judge character off of" and then I remembered that "oh my god, when vi got out of prison the first person she looked for was Powder, she's using her own experience to base her judgment of him" and while I feel that is kind of obvious already it took me a few rewatches to catch that lmao

Jinx sat in her room, balled up on the window seal.

Not a bad day, just bad enough to feel like crap by the time it ended.

Jinx stared out of her window before instinctively flinching, swatting beside her ear.

"Why can't everyone just go away?"

She could hear Mylo cackling at her, bickering with Claggor no matter how much she wanted to be left alone.

They never left, no matter how much she wanted, begged or pleaded, they always stayed.

She just wanted to be left alone. To hide from the world, well, there was an exception

"Except you."

"Leave her alone."

Jinx finally tore her eyes away from the window, hearing the noise in her head halt.

You still looked the same, just more pretty than she would have appreciated when she was younger.

Jinx allowed herself to finally smile, instinctively turning her body to you and making room on the window seal.

"Mind if I join you?" You smiled, making Jinx forget her worries and beam at your presence.

"You can stay."

You sat down next to her, Jinx wasting no time to lay her head in your lap.

Maybe she didn't though, maybe this was all fake once again and she fell for it.

Because even if you weren't there, even as the figment in her mind she made up along with Mylo, Claggor, Vander and Vi.

She still was happy you were there, the only one who didn't make her skin feel scratchy or wanna plug her ears until the end of time.

She fell for it again, falling asleep peacefully only to wake up and find you gone.

But if this was what it took to see you again?

She would gladly fall for it, over and over again.
