This is the Forge of Emberhold in Flamefall Cascades you have to embark on a quest to reignite the flame and bring the forge back to its once glorious state. You then will be able to mine precious ores, opening up the mining feature of Santae, smelt the ores to bars and craft new armor, weapons and other items using the bars!

How can this simulation we live within be made truly visible to us? Perhaps only a total rupture could affect it. In the ruins of a catastrophic event we can imagine an inspired, practically minded artisan undertaking the construction of something [...] She would be someone who recalls the simulation and believes she can re-create it piece by piece, with the materials available — with whatever is to hand.
More Ruffian and Ruffles comic strips, PLEASE IT GIVV ES ME LIFE!
ok dang i didnt expect this many people to love this little concept as much as i did drawing it! ive had quite a few people tell me the same thing when i shared it on discord too.
i Will say that i cant promise anything rn! Im currntly busy with... a lot, plus working on MAP parts in my spare time. but i am definitely hoping and planning on doing more with these two cus they do make up the two main factors of my sense of humor: explosive violence and Speed.
thank you everyone for the kind words, and stay tuned!
you can see the crater on google maps??? where do i look
so... kinda
the ring itself is so old that it's not immediately evident from the satellite pics, but a way you can start to grasp the outline of it is by searching for chicxulub and then searching 'cenote' in the area.
essentially, cenotes are underground sinkholes where freshwater aquifers direct into. from what I understand, the ring of them around the crater zone is likely bc the impact created an unstable geology that groundwater routed towards and was able to shape through flow.
google maps only shows the visitable ones but they occur all along the crater ring
so once you see the cenotes you can kind of see the ring of towns along the curve (accessible fresh water and a higher position along the hill of the rim). it's nothing crazy visible, but idk haha like i said in that tag, it's a bit of a comfort thing for me to try and trace the hidden evidence of smth so ancient and history-altering through human development both on the ground and above it? it's neato yanno?
I had a dream that I got my Magic Leap headset and then took it to a forest to create magical crystals and rainbows in the streams there and then I took it to the beach to decorate the sand with glowing shells and stars!!!!!!! and then woke up to realize I’ll soon be able to do these things FOR REAL!!!!!!!
#mapcrunch study! This one kicked my ass, but I’m glad I stuck with it and finished it 😅 I tried to making the grass a bit more Ghibli-like but I think I only managed it on the front grass 🥲😅 Ah, well, next time will be better 💪
