This wise-looking cat is Gandhi. He’s about 12 years 8 months-old and sponsored by Tania Ryan. SNAP Cats rescued Gandhi from Santa Rosa, CA. Gandhi’s cortically blind (has limited vision), almost/completely deaf, has severe head tilt and circles to the right, and may have a brain tumor. Other than that, Gandhi’s fine! He’s extremely receptive to people and loves to be pet. Gandhi has a strong heart and lungs, good muscle mass and strong bones (no fractures). Gandhi’s fave thing is sleeping. A LOT! TINA'S TURN!

Our new arrival from Kuwait, Tina, or as we call her, Tiny Tina (‘cause she is), went home yesterday with employee, Sicah, who fell in love with Tina the moment she saw her. If you watch our Kitten Room webcam you probably saw Sicah carrying Tina around with her as she worked. Sicah just cannot get enough of Tina!

This handsome man is Sunny D. He about 10+/- years-old, is blind, and has a twisted rear leg. SNAP Cats rescued Sunny D from Merced, CA. OMG Sunny D’s the sweetest cat ever! He ignores the others, seeks out your attention, then purrs-up a storm when you pet him. Sunny D doesn’t mind being held, navigates his environment very well, and uses the box 100% of the time. Andie is 3 years 4 months-old and needs a sponsor! Andie is a lap cat! No doubt about it. She’ll sit at your feet and gently paw at your legs/pants until you pick her up. Sometimes Andie wants to lay on your shoulders across the back of your neck (makes a great neck pillow!). They said Andie was about 10 years-old when they brought her to us, but after examining her and spaying her we think she’s closer to 3. This is Andie. She’s about 7 years-old and blind in both eyes due to Buphthalmoses. Andie was found as a stray in San Mateo County and taken to the Peninsula SPCA. The SPCA reached out to Persian & Himalayan Cat Rescue (SF), who then reached out to us to see if we could take Andie. (Do they even need to ask?!). Bloodwork also shows high suspicion of early thyroid disease. Andie is super friendly and, despite her possible thyroid condition, her body condition is great. We will enucleate both eyes to alleviate any pain and prevent potential infection. After that, Andie will be ready for her new home. SNAP Cats uses Smart Cat, all natural cat litter.
