I once had to go to rehab for too many clementines. Not actual rehab of course, mainly my own room with a closed door to not let the saccharine smell get in.
It happen because I like them a lot, so instead of one I started eating two of them after lunch, then I would eat one (or two or three) as a snack in the late afternoon, as the sky matched their skin, feeling poetic. Then I would eat more (sometimes three sometimes four) after dinner to have their smell on my fingers when I laid down to sleep (as if I did not wash my hands afterwards, honestly all of this sounds way too pretentious, I just ate a lot of clementines).
I did that all the time, everyday. All winter. And suddenly I was bloated, my stomach hurt and I felt nauseous all the time. But I still ate them and did not understand because they are just fruit, they could not possibly be the problem, could they? (I am not very quick at connecting the dots, am I?).
Well, apparently, if you eat them like a greedy little pig, the vitam C gets as toxic as good old heroin (for your information, that is what in literature is called an exaggeration). So, I had to go to clementine rehab. Because that's how I do everything, I devour it till it gets me sick.

re VI injections lol it is a thing in LA from the past few years. But it is quite common in some countries. Like my mom does it twice a year. It is supposed to boost your inmune system.. it can be a cocktail or mostly one vitamin and some minerals. During covid loooots of people were getting Vitamic C boost like this.
