chrollo headcanon that's been floating around my brain (very self indulgent might i add) ...

chrollo loves canción ranchera ! if you catch him baking something or cooking dinner, he's most likely listening to pedro infante or jorge negrete or some other traditional mexican artists. he appreciates old music from a variety of places, but nothing makes him bust it down like some good mariachi music.

the first time he heard this music, it was being sold in its original vinyl form at a small auction. due to the rarity of vinyls in that day and age, it definitely cost a pretty penny. it's a good thing he was already planning to rob the place anyway! he had a record player that he took from a pawn shop not that long ago, and a couple of classical music records he found alongside it. he loves tchaikovsky, but he needed something different. so, when he got his hands on these vinyl records for himself and the troupe, imagine the pure excitement on his face when he found that, not only did the records work, they played the coolest music he's ever heard.

additionally, as a gentleman, he definitely knows how to dance well enough. so, if you catch him singing along while making dinner, he'll set the spatula down and offer you a dance. he hasn't mastered his little hip shakes but he's getting there! might require your assistance for dance practice though..... unfortunately this dancing usually results in some burnt food or some smoke setting off the fire alarm, but it's well worth it to see him hum to the music :))
