Exhaustion. That is what Takashi felt as he finally managed to sit down in what felt like forever. After the events of the Galran occupation, Takashi was numb at best. Leaning forward, the man pushed his fingers through silver colored hair; a deep frown pulling at his lips. 

Taking a shuddering breath, he felt warm tracks slowly fall down his cheeks. He hadn’t had much time with Adam’s death, and to be honest he didn’t know how to feel. “I’m sorry.” He whispered as he reached out and felt the memorial wall against his fingertips. his fingers grazing over Adam’s plaque. “I’m sorry... I was a fool. I never wanted to leave it at this.” He could feel his voice tremble and threaten to crack with the turmoil inside him.

The speech had ended not an hour, he didn’t want to be around the others; he couldn’t be. Gray colored eyes closed, teeth chewed at the inside of his lip. Swallowing thickly, Shiro raised his gaze to the face and took a deep breath; he- he needed to get off of the floor. Tears seemed to flow and he didn’t recognize that he was crying until a small hic-up escaped his lip. 

Taking a shuddering breath, the Commander got to his feet and clenched his teeth together. “Adam.” That name was barely a whisper, his hand reached up and wiped the freshly fallen tears. “I’m so sorry. I should have said it before I left. I-” He gave a cough and took a deep breath, he had to step away... “I love you.” came the soft words as he turned around, wiping at his eyes again. He had to go now, He was sure Iverson had something for him to do... to bury himself in for a little while.
