anyway. onto better things. the sun is shining today and i'll get to bike (on a rented bike, lol) to my seminar in the sun and what seems to be somewhat nice temperatures + i get to air my room out without it becoming freezing cold immediately. these warm days have been popping up here and there over the past few weeks and each time it's like a part of me is coming back to life. save me early spring days!

Okay, this one's like pure self-indulgence, but hey, what are we here for right?

So here's the story: A Modern AU Edward listens to punk/gothic/metal music, obviously, like that's a given. and in this case he listens to my flavour of gothic/dark wave music because I said so. And it's not really Alphonse's thing honestly, he prefers his music a little less aggressive. But he listens to the songs Ed shows him because he cares about what Ed cares about and it's not bad, and he likes spending time with Ed, so Ed takes him to a VNV Nation show sometime. And there, Alphonse sees that T-Shirt, that shirt with "My soul is my own" written on the back, and for some reason it just speaks to him. That's for him. He doesn't know why but it is. He can't really put it into words but Ed can tell because of course Ed can tell, so Ed buys it for him. (And since you can't convince me that Control wouldn't be one of Ed's favourite songs, of course he buys the "I want control" hoodie for himself.)

That's it, that's the story. Brought to you by the fact that I cannot look at my VNVN Shirt these days without thinking of Al.
