Processing (PART 2) by ZCode223 Via Flickr: Date: Wednesday 12th September2018 This follows on from ‘Processing (PART 1) document that was written earlier Later that day Chris set us a challenge to make a ‘conditional selection’ using the commands ‘Voidsetup’, ‘Voiddraw’, ‘if(mouseX<width/2) and a background. We were given the option to use ‘else{‘ but I was unable to make a program with this, although we were asked to change up the black and white to make it red and blue. Here I made a red background with the addition of a blue square. The code I used to create this was as follows: void setup() { size(2018,2018); } void draw() { if(mouseX<width/2) { } background(244,101,66); fill(66,206,244); rect(450,450,275,275); I then decided to ask my tutor for help and he told me that I needed to draw another rectangle in code. Therefore the new code was as follows (after I finally figured out the fact I needed to keep drawing the squares again and again): void setup() { size(2018,2018); } void draw() { if (mouseX<width/2) { background(244,101,66); fill(66,206,244); rect(450,450,275,275); } else { background(0,101,7); fill(166,6,24); rect(450,450,275,275); } } As a result of the updated code, my drawings turned out as so.
