In accordance with everyone's recommendations, I shot big slide. It was my first time shooting slide film ever, and I was really scared that the metering would be off.

I was shooting some 6x4.5 for a friend's graduation shoot when I decided to throw the Bessa RF in my bag, and ask my friend to take some shots of me.

I feel like these shots are definitely different than anything I've shot before. The contrasty punch seems like digital, but the colors feel very film like.

The Bessa RF doesn't have any double exposure protection, in fact it doesn't even have an automatic film advance. The result was this, two frames that might have been great, make a photo that while interesting, is not that great.

I'm personally really happy with how these came out. I feel more confident to actually use slide film instead of tiptoeing around it. The limited dynamic range isn't as much of a threat to me, and I can see how it can be used creatively rather than just a hindrance.

Will it be enough for me to keep the 6x9 though....
