Palpatine vs Voldemort, who would win

This scenario is quite interesting to think about. At first I was like "Palpy is destroying No-nose-Tom in a heartbeat". But then I started thinking more about it. And I realized that it is actually closer than one would think.

I think Palpatine's force lightning could be blocked by a "Protego" (shield spell). We saw Yoda do something similar with the force, so it is definitely able to be blocked. Palpatine's next best weapon would then be his lightsaber, which Voldemort would be able to disarm with an "Expelliarmus". So from thereon out it is a relatively fair fight. But Palpatine's superior intellect and the fact that he is probably the most powerful force user not green or named Skywalker in the Skywalker Saga, he is going home with the win. He would be able to freeze Voldemort in place and then finish him. But Palpatine's first thought would be to fry Voldemort up with lightning, and since Voldemort would be able to block that. It would give him a few seconds to fire a killing curse, which Palpatine might not dodge. But since Palpatine has the reaction time of a force-user, he would likely be able to dodge most of Voldemorts spells.

So, in conclusion. Palpy wins a close fight against Voldemort. However, many of these factors work in favor of our dear Voldesnort, in an attempt to make it interesting.

i think it’d be neat to throw cursebreaker jesper at james, if only bc the crows are a group of shady troublemakers who are, very much, helping in the resistance against voldesnort, but cant seem to stop stealing shit from the order. for ur consideration: the order needs the crows assistance, perhaps in the form of information, or perhaps they just need extra bodies for a possible fight, and james, being the smooth talker he is, is asked to liaise with jesper. what happens instead: they both get ambushed, and have to work together.

Are you named after anyone?

I was named after an Elvis Costello song that came out like... 2 weeks before I was born (I was originally going to be Sydney or Scout I believe) but the spelling is based off Ally Mcbeal! 

When was the last time you cried?

On my way to get lunch from Long John SIlver’s about an hour ago lol, I’m going to a funeral this weekend for my great grandma who I was really close to growing up, and I’m not great working through emotions lol

Do you have kids?

Nooooo lmao, hopefully someday though!

I love reading (I’m an english major), public speaking/speech and debate, writing, taking walks, swimming, sewing/embroidery, and researching basically whatever is my hyperfixation of the week lol .

An emotional support cat named Norah! and then my family has a dog named Stella, that’s basically like the 5th child lol.

I don’t currently play sports, but in the past I’ve done swimming, track and field, baseball, basketball, football, martial arts, tennis, volleyball, and gymnastics (probably more but my main focus was always swimming and I’m a lifeguard still)

English! I also love history, but I love analyzing texts and finding meaning in every word, as well as researching the history and contexts behind classics!

Dream job?

dream job would definitely be acting, though it’s always been beyond unrealistic, I’ve also always wanted to be a writer. But I just switched my concentration to secondary education, and now I’m planning to be a high school english teacher and I’m so excited for it, I feel like it was always meant to be :).

Okay. So like any normal person. I have taken the sorting hat ceremony a couple of times. I've gotten Gryffindor twice and Slytherin twice. When someone asks me what house im in I usually say Gryffindor because im scared people are just going to keep making jokes that im evil and lord voldesnort. I can't really punch people in the face because its frowned upon. What should I do. Own my Slytherin pride or.. This doesn't sound like im Gryffindor because im being 'cowardly' but I do what I want.

6. Avada Kedavra, Crucio or Imperio?

Definitely not Crucio. I couldn't deal with torturing people. Adavra Kedavra is easy to do. You feel like killing someone you can just take out your wand and kill them without the victim feeling any pain and for a dumb reason (e.g. your sibling did something you didn't like and now you're so pissed that you want them dead (People who have siblings can relate) so now you whip out your wand and kill them only to regret it later.) Problem is that people who are suicidal could just easily kill themselves without thinking about the consequences because there are none. If you want to kill yourself there will be no pain. I don't understand how the suicide rates weren't higher or maybe that's just something that's not shown. It's too easy and that's scary. There should be limitations on it or something. Not just if you use that curse you're goin to Askaban. Imperio....I don't know. It's wrong. Yet I understand the need to sometimes want people to do things exactly how you want them to do it. But just imagine how violated you would feel afterwards. If somebody used you for their own advantage.

I don't know. They're all wrong yet I understand why people would sometimes want to use them. But still they're called the Unforgivable Curses for a reason.

13. Who was the bravest character in Harry Potter and why?

Neville Longbottom. I love Neville. He's very relatable and I feel like he and I are very similar. Neville has always been underestimated by everyone. The poor guy didn't even have his own wand until whenever it was that he got his own. He was ridiculed and tormented by Snape so much that that Asshole actually became his boggart. Yet Neville kept going to the classes. He stood up to his friends. He fucking stood up to Voldesnort. If that doesn't show bravery I don't know what does. He didn't have it easy that's for damn sure. But it's not about how or where you start but about how you finish. I believe that his support system helped him realize that he's more than he thinks he is and lets other people believe. Neville is my hero and my spirit animal
